I have no qualms picking at the bones of a not-so-dead-horse — Jewish Power.

I just want some DEI involved in that Wailing Wall of Jewish Jews and Jewish Zionists and then the Zionist-Firsters who happen to be not-so-Jew: [U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen speaks with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) chairman Gary Gensler during a meeting of the Financial Stability Oversight Council at the U.S. Department of Treasury on Dec. 14. Way too much power in the hands of these two rabbi-induced folk — Yellen and Gensler.

Moving to higher education: Harvard is a shit school of the Poison Ivy League variety, but a few okay folk like Winona LaDuke matriculated from their decades ago. This isn’t undeserved power? This piece of shit billionaire, Ukraine Jew, and he has the purse strings for fucking Harvard?

So, Jewish Billionaires determine the curriculum and professorships and administrations of schools like Harvard and U of Penn?

[Wikipedi, Blavatnik was born in 1957 in Odesa, then in the Ukrainian SSR and part of the Soviet Union, to a Jewish family.[7][8][9] Blavatnik’s parents moved to Yaroslavl, a Russian city north of Moscow, when Blavatnik was a child.[10] Blavatnik attended Moscow State University of Railway Engineering, but did not complete his coursework due to the family’s request for emigration visas.

At Moscow State University of Railway Engineering, Blavatnik became close friends with Viktor Vekselberg, another Ukrainian Jew.[10] Vekselberg would later go on to found Renova Group.[10]

His family emigrated from the Soviet Union to the United States of America in 1978, and he received a master’s degree in computer science from Columbia University‘s School of Engineering and Applied Science in 1981[11] and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1989. ]

And they breed, man, breed with five evil spawn under his legal mantel . .. .. .. He has also sought political influence. In the US, Blavatnik mainly gave to Democratic politicians before 2014, but his spending then shifted to the right, with donations of millions of dollars to Republican causes and a $1m donation to Donald Trump’s inaugural committee.

PAIN, death, destitution, that buzzard mentality of the rich picking at the bones of communism, of the Soviet Union. That will not happen ever again, and Putin’s and Russia’s unwavering support of much of what Israel has done is gone gone gone:

Nobody was allowed to legally accumulate substantial amounts of capital in the Soviet Union, although a handful of bureaucrats and entrepreneurial tough guys managed to grow moderately rich by Soviet standards. The fall of communism was followed by rapid privatization, under U.S. tutelage, of many of the prize assets of one of the world’s largest countries.

A handful of men — most of whom had accumulated wealth and political connections in the Soviet era to take advantage of the bargain-basement sale of the national patrimony — rapidly became billionaires, some of them key political players in the disarray of the Boris Yeltsin years.  Sensing the danger of being stripped of their wealth if they found themselves on the wrong side of the Kremlin, a number of those oligarchs stashed their assets abroad. An estimated $150 billion of Russian capital left the country in the decade that followed the collapse of the Berlin Wall, draining the Russian economy as it flooded into Western banks and property markets. Forbes’ 2014 list of the world’s richest people includes eight Russians in the top 100. Today more than 35 percent of Russia’s economy is owned by just 110 people.

Here, and this fellow isn’t an unbiased observer, that is, he doesn’t like Putin or Russia:

On 26 March, President Biden, speaking in Warsaw, said, unscripted:

“For God’s sake, this man [Putin] cannot remain in power.”

Such an overt statement of intention for regime change in Russia has not gone down well in most of Europe. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken later clarified Biden’s Warsaw remark:

“As you know, and as you have heard us say repeatedly, we do not have a strategy of regime change in Russia, or anywhere else, for that matter”.

Blinken has apparently forgotten Vietnam, Chile, Iraq, Afghanistan, and quite a few more.

Consider the following quotes. On 24 February, during a White House press conference on the first day of Russia’s invasion, Biden said sanctions are designed not to prevent invasion but to punish Russia after invading

“…so the people of Russia know what he has brought on them. That is what this is all about.

On 27 February, James Heappey, UK Minister for the Armed Forces, wrote in the Daily Telegraph:

“His failure must be complete; Ukrainian sovereignty must be restored, and the Russian people empowered to see how little he cares for them. In showing them that, Putin’s days as President will surely be numbered… He’ll lose power and he won’t get to choose his successor.”

Finally, on 1 March, Boris Johnson’s spokesperson said the sanctions on Russia

“we are introducing, that large parts of the world are introducing, are to bring down the Putin regime.”

These statements reflect long-standing US strategy for regime change in Moscow, with Ukraine as the pivot. On one hand, send sufficient military and other equipment to Ukraine to sink the Russian military in a quagmire. On the other hand, impose severe, far-reaching sanctions on Russia so as to cause major disruption to the Russian elite and a major contraction of living conditions for the Russian middle-class. The combination should last long enough for Russians to rise up to overthrow Putin and install a Yeltsin-like President more sympathetic to the West.

But this weapons-plus-sanctions strategy needed a cause. Putin’s invasion was the required casus belli.

Note the date — almost two years ago! More shitty predictions.

Above: Face of a dirty sicario/SS/Gestapo — he is for murdering citizens, bombing cafes, anything: Forcibly conscripted Ukrainians are performing poorly on the battlefield, Kiev’s military intelligence chief, Kirill Budanov, has admitted. He warned, however, that the country’s harsh recruitment drive must continue, and that no one will be able to “escape mobilization.”

The spymaster made the remarks during a panel discussion titled ‘2024: Challenges and Prospects’, excerpts from which were circulated by local media on Sunday. Budanov backed the idea of continuing forced conscription into the country’s military, claiming it was the only way to maintain numbers.

“It is impossible to escape mobilization,” he stated. “There are currently 1.1 million people in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. No recruiting can cover such volumes.”

“We don’t have that many people willing to do anything, actually. I’m not even talking about fighting,” Budanov added, admitting that most Ukrainians prefer to support the country’s troops away from the front lines.

The chosen people – Ukrainian leader pleads to American Jews for support:

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy makes a statement in Kyiv

When Stephanie Gold, a Los Angeles lawyer, read that Volodymyr Zelenskyy told European Union leaders, “this might be the last time you see me alive,” she broke down and cried.

“I’m terrified for him,” she said.

There’s something unique about the way that Zelenskyy has entered the hearts of American Jews. In a week, Ukraine’s president has gone from “Who’s he?” to family. The concern for him is intimate and visceral. And the question that shadows every conversation about the war is, What will happen to Zelenskyy?

Thoughtful, balanced reporting from the Forward and around the web, bringing you updated news and analysis of the crisis each day.

“No man has gone from joke to legend faster,” L.A. director and screenwriter Michael Idov wrote in British GQ.

Of course, people around the world share a deep concern for Zelenskyy’s fate. But the feeling is especially strong among American Jews.

“Tonight, we celebrate Shabbat with a world that is unified in this moment, behind a Jewish president of Ukraine who comes from a grandfather who was the only son of four who survived the Holocaust,” Rabbi Ryan Bauer of Temple Emanu-El in San Francisco said in his weekly sermon.

Part of that is because, as a torrent of internet memes has established, he is a handsome and superb communicator with an improbable background: actor turned producer turned president turned leader of The Resistance, a Jew who speaks native Russian now being accused of Nazism by that same global superpower.

So the Jews of Jewish Occupied Palestine are real toughies, and their twins in the USA have more of the same bullshit. You think this is real? Then you believe in Israel as a Democracy for all and one!

A nationwide swatting spree targeting nearly 200 Jewish institutions over the weekend appears to have been a coordinated effort by an entity based outside the United States, the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s top spokesperson said in a confidential memo to partner law enforcement agencies.

The communication, written by Assistant FBI Director Cathy Milhoan, and obtained by ABC News, says, “At this time, based on similar language and specific email tradecraft used, it appears the perpetrators of these threats are connected. Additionally, these threats appear to be originating from outside of the United States.”

Think false or black flag operation by Mossad and Unit 8200 and . . . . The main difference between a black operation and one that is merely secret is that a black operation involves a significant degree of deception, to conceal who is behind it or to make it appear that some other entity is responsible (e.g. false flag operations).

Top insiders interrogated by Salvini turned out to have surprising information on FM 30-31B.

Relentless Milan Judge Guido Salvini. [Source: ansa.it]

Additional verification of the truthful nature of FM 30-31B came in the 1990s, as a result of the dogged criminal investigation conducted by Milan Investigating Judge Guido Salvini.

Salvini was looking into the infamous Piazza Fontana terrorist attack of December 12, 1969 (regarded as the beginning of the “Strategy of Tension” in Italy), which caused 17 casualties.

Salvini exposed an extensive connection between a U.S. military-intelligence network, operating around NATO bases in northeast Italy, and operatives from far-right organizations, Ordine Nuovo in particular, which were ultimately responsible for executing terrorist attacks.

The ultimate purpose was to implement a radical policy of destabilization, to prevent Communists from ever seizing power.[11]

The American military-intelligence network investigated by Salvini originated in World War II, particularly with the activity of the Counter Intelligence Corps, and continued, under different structures and individual actors, throughout the most sensitive timeline of the Cold War.

Essentially, the U.S. recruited a number of Nazi-fascist assets in the fight against Communism.

Several names in this network appear in the records declassified as a result of the Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act, such as that of Nazi SS officer Karl Hass, co-responsible for the Fosse Ardeatine massacre in Italy during WWII.

PEPE ESCOBAR JOINS ON YEMEN VS US-NATO COALITION: ISRAEL STARTS ANOTHER WAR?

Here, one of his latest articles: Yemen Ready to Stare Down a New Imperial Coalition

No one ever lost money betting on the ability of the Empire of Chaos, Lies and Plunder to construct a “coalition of the willing” whenever faced with a geopolitical quandary.

In every case, duly covered by the reigning “rules-based international order”, “willing” applies to vassals seduced by carrots or sticks to follow to the letter the Empire’s whims.

Cue to the latest chapter: Coalition Genocide Prosperity, whose official – heroic – denomination, a trademark of the Pentagon’s P.R. wizards, is “Operation Prosperity Guardian”, allegedly engaged in “ensuring freedom of navigation in the Red Sea.”

Translation: this is Washington all but declaring war on Yemen’s Ansarullah. An extra US destroyer has already been dispatched to the Red Sea.

Ansarullah sticks to its guns and is by no means intimidated. The Houthi military have already stressed that any attack on Yemeni assets or Ansarullah missile launch sites would color the entire Red Sea literally Red.

The Houthi military not only reaffirmed it has “weapons to sink your aircraft carriers and destroyers” but made a stunning call to both Sunnis and Shi’ites in Bahrain to revolt and overthrow their King, Hamad al-Khalifa.

As of Monday, even before the start of the operation, the Eisenhower aircraft carrier was around 280 km off the closest Ansarullah controlled latitudes. Houthis have Zoheir and Khalij-e-Fars anti-ship ballistic missiles with a range of 300 to 500 km.

Ansarullah Supreme Political Council member Muhammad al-Bukhaiti felt compelled to re-stress the obvious: “Even if America succeeds in mobilizing the entire world, our operations in the Red Sea will not stop unless the massacre in Gaza stops. We will not give up the responsibility of defending the Moustazafeen (oppressed ones) of the Earth.”

The world better get ready: “Aircraft carrier sunk” may become the new 9/11.

So, I got wrangled into sitting on my ass watching Netflix, and yet another rotten movie, man so so rotten, I had to gargle with peroxide. Stained my brain. Lost two hours from my life.

Like everything else in Capitalism, in LaLaLandia, the touch of Mediocrity is the Midas Touch in Holly-Dirt, with these fucking creeps, superficial jerks, and the amount of shallowness and fourth grade philosophy in this crap, man-oh-man.

King Midas: The Golden Touch by Demi

Leave the World Behind is so bad, so Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke bad, man, and fake, foolish, inept, and the people — characters — are totally unredeeming. Not one is worth shit, and I know that was not the intention. I was hoping a Juarez cartel member would appear and take the cast and crew out. Cinéma vérité!

Dumb sick WASP couple, Roberts and Hawke, do a weekend vacation away from their Brooklyn digs. Two insipid kids (the actors, too) dragged along. IN a mansion they end up, with this shit storm idea of a weekend away (a 6,000 square foot home, something Obama and Michelle call a cabana I am sure).

Roberts’ character is in NY advertising, and she hates all people (because that’s what Edward Bernays Madison Avenue does to Goyim). Hawke is a communications and media studies prof. Both actors are worthless, good at selling toothpaste, cars, tampons, Princess Lines cruises, maybe.

Story? A fucking high school screative writing workshop would have done better. The owner of the house returns with his daughter. This black fellow (Mahershala Ali) is a hedge fund dude (sure) and he has big wigs in the MIC investing, and supposedly got a tip about something about to happen from this fellow in that “evil cabal.” (this is Barak Obama’s executive produced childish shit).

The premise is “something” is happening. Cyber attack, ships running aground, planes dropping out of the sky, herds of deers conjuring, flamingos in the New York State pool. Kid’s teeth falling out.

These thespians are born liars and mirror gazers.

A real ugly storyline, bad lines, and shit storm acting. More crappola directing. Imagine this, it could have been Russia or Korea or Iran. Kevin Bacon has a spot as a prepper, shotgun and all (a fucking shotgun?).

This is the rot-gut TV viewing from rot-gut Obama and rot-gut Michelle. This is the height of the POTUS, man, and nothing like reflecting upon what his life was/is — one Benetton advertisement.

All 17 Movies & TV Shows Produced By Barack & Michelle Obama (Including Leave The World Behind)

Yeah, Oh-Bomber, this bailout queen, Oh-Bomb-Them. This dirty boy of murdering Libya. This terrible human, terrible teacher, terrible politician.

Over the past few years, Barack and Michelle Obama have made a seamless transition from political powerhouses to influential figures in the entertainment industry through their production company, Higher Ground, which has already released 17 projects. Founded in 2018, Higher Ground was created with the mission of entertaining, informing, and inspiring audiences of all ages. It also has a central focus on elevating new and diverse voices within the entertainment space, which is evident through each of its projects. Each movie and television show to come out of the studio feels intentional with its characters and storylines, as they all demonstrate a profound dedication to fostering empathy, understanding, and social change.

That seamless transition to vapidity as First Lady and POTUS and then this new realm of multimillionaires with the digs. Quote: “The Obamas’ awesome Hawaiian estate is nearing completion … but not without controversy.

This well could be where Barack and Michelle Obama spend their retirement years — assuming, of course, that they will ever fully retire. It sits on 3 acres in the community of Waimanalo on the island of Oahu. They bought the property back in 2015 for $8.7 million.”

“Fun fact — the house that was on the property when the Obamas bought it was the house featured in “Magnum P.I.” The Obamas razed the house in 2018.”

Environmentalists aren’t happy with the Obamas construction project … they allegedly found a loophole in the law to keep a seawall on the property, and they say these seawalls are eroding the coastline.

There will be 3 structures on the site … presumably one for Secret Service. There are 2 — count them — 2 swimming pools.

Yeah, the great new green green deal, Obama, tearing down the original home, and leaving in a sea wall.

Vomit bags are on your OWN dime. Leave it to this Tefelon man to go into the Liars’ Biz.

“Higher Ground’s first-released project, a documentary called American Factory, came out in 2019. Given that the project was Higher Ground’s debut, it was essential that it set the tone for where the company wanted to go and the stories it was looking to tell. It is set in post-industrial Ohio, where a Chinese billionaire opens a new factory in an abandoned General Motors plant. This initially causes hope and optimism for the residents in the area but quickly turns into a culture clash between high-tech China and working-class America. In a Tweet, Barack Obama shared that he was proud of the film for achieving an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary, and he and Michelle were aiming to create a story that’s not seen often enough.”

Plastic in your feces, plastic in your blood, and now in the brain. That’s Holly-Dirt. It is a protective mechanism against viruses and bacteria, yet these particles were able to get there. It was actually deep in the brain tissue.” A microplastic particle in the brain of a mouse after short-term exposure, showing the particles are able to permeate the brain blood barrier.

When Jaime Ross set out to investigate the impact of microplastics on human health as we age, she wasn’t expecting what she found.

In a new study, Ross, an assistant professor of biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences at the Ryan Institute for Neuroscience, looked into effects of short-term exposure to microplastics—minute plastic particles—in young and old mice. Her lab not only found that the particles induced cognitive changes, but they were also able to cross the highly protective brain blood barrier.

“We were very surprised to see that,” said Ross. “The brain blood barrier is supposed to be very difficult to permeate.

Oh, those dirty Wailing Wall Whitehouses under Obama, Trump and Biden, and this is it for 2023, outta here: No four alarm for this total hell for humanity. No immediate Marshall Plan to take to task all those sources of plastics in the body.

Hormone-morphing chemicals, cancer inducing pesticides, all that fun and games the US government is SUPPOSED to stop, but not under pricks like Obama, Biden, Trump, Bush, the lot of them.

Prof. WEST: Well, I think it’s true in the society as a whole. We have a market-driven society so obsessed with buying and selling and obsessed with power and pleasure and property, it doesn’t leave a whole lot of time for non-market values and non-market activity so that love and trust and justice, concern for the poor, that’s being pushed to the margins, and you can see it.

You can see it in terms of the obsession on Wall Street with not just profits but greed, more profit, more profit. You see it in our television culture that’s obsessed with superficial spectacle. You see it even in our educational systems, where the market model becomes central. It’s a matter of just gaining a skill or gaining access to a job to live in some vanilla suburb, as opposed to becoming a critical citizen concerned with public interest and common good.

It’s a spiritual malnutrition tied to a moral constipation, where people have a sense of what’s right and what’s good. It’s just stuck, and they can’t get it out because there’s too much greed. There’s too much obsession with reputation and addiction to narrow conceptions of success.

And when I talk about love, I’m talking about something that’s great, though, brother. I’m talking about something that will sustain you. It’s like an Aretha Franklin song, brother, or a Coltrane solo or Beethoven symphony, something that grabs you to the gut and gives you a sense of what it is to be human.

That’s what we’re more and more lacking, and it’s very sad. It’s a sign of a decline of an empire, my brother.

Oh, that “n” word!

Reacting to President Obama’s use of the n-word on Marc Maron’s podcast, Cornel West called him the first “niggerized” president in an appearance on CNN. West criticized Obama as “a person who is afraid and intimidated when it comes to putting a spotlight on white supremacy.”

“Too many black people are niggerized,” West said Monday on CNN. “I would say the first black president has become the first niggerized black president.”

“A niggerized black person is a black person who is afraid and scared and intimidated when it comes to putting a spotlight on white supremacy and fighting against white supremacy,” West explained. “So when many of us said we have to fight against racism, what were we told? ‘No, he can’t deal with racism because he has other issues, political calculations. He’s the president of all America, not just black America.’ We know he’s president of all America but white supremacy is American as cherry pie.”

So, now, we have Zionist Supremacists in the Wailing Wall House. Biden on his knees for the Jewish Supremacy. Then, his fucking “n” word Raytheon Austin.

See that dirty Rascist Star of Fucking David?

Yeah, you think Michelle is going to dig into a story with relevance and current events staying power? Nah. Cornel has them all pegged. How about a documentary on a few brave Jews like: Yoav Litvin, an Israeli-American doctor of psychology/neuroscience, a writer and photographer. His work can be found at yoavlitvin.com. “The anatomy of Zionist genocide”

On October 7, Hamas fighters breached the Gaza prison fence, launching a coordinated attack on at least seven Israeli military installations and more than 20 surrounding residential communities. Over 1000 Israeli citizens, both civilian and military, as well as dozens of foreign nationals, were killed in the attack. Some 240 others were taken captive. Caught off guard and in disarray, the Israeli military responded to the attack in a frenzy, firing indiscriminately on breached localities, slaying Israeli captives alongside Hamas fighters in the process. It took the Israeli forces nearly a day to recapture all lost territory and secure the Gaza perimeter.

Following Hamas’s unprecedented incursion, Israel’s public relations apparatus launched a misinformation campaign aimed at inciting fear and fury and began to spread unverified atrocity propaganda. The campaign, involving tales of babies being “beheaded en masse”, “burned” and “hung on a clothesline”, helped transform the Israeli public’s shock into genocidal tribalism and diverted attention from Israel’s political, intelligence and military blunders that paved the way for the attack in the first place. The campaign also helped the government garner crucial public support for mass mobilisation of reserve units which made the consequent full-scale ground invasion of the Gaza Strip possible. (Litvin)

So, we get this “who could have hacked our internet and our communications networks sort of fucking joke of a Kool-Aid lite dystopian film where the end message is a kid at the end breaking into a millionaire’s house, in the bunker, and finding the last show of the TV series, “Friends,” which she was watching when the “unknown, non-descript attack” occurs and knocks out her Smart Pad and her viewing pleasure.

Nothing is right or on target or real about this movie.

Urban and global planning on acid: NEOM and the Line!

The unending trail of trillions of dollars sucked from the people, from the seed savers, from the ones who know forest, river, lake, savannah, mountain, valley, reef, to construct absurdity and ugly.

Leon Krier joins UK Column for the third part of our discussions about architecture and urban planning. In this interview, we look at city development for the future, and we start by focusing on Neom, the mirrored ‘line’ city of the Saudi Arabian desert.

In this interview, following two short video clips presenting the Neom project, Leon Krier describes the new city as an absurdity which makes promises that do not correspond to reality. He remains unimpressed with the ultra-high technology of The Line and argues that we should still accept low-tech construction, particularly where it is appropriate and effective: for example, using mud construction in hot, arid climes.

He highlights that much of contemporary urban zone development is promoted heavily on the back of growth models which nobody controls. He also describes territorial zoning as ‘planning massification’, which in turn catalyses uniformity in architecture, economic class and community. These are all points which, he reminds us, the then Prince Charles, Krier’s former architectural patron, challenged as a lone voice amongst ‘a band of [architectural and planning] criminals’.

In the latter part of the interview, Krier expresses his concern over Ukraine and President Zelensky’s invitation to BlackRock to plan for the future. He warns that there will be no small-scale development and much will be ‘robotised’: jobs and the human element will be phased out.

Krier ends by considering what it is that people strive for: to build their own house and be able to grow food for themselves. Our final comment is on Léon Krier’s attractive, low-cost wood construction home in the Seaside community in Florida.

Dirty minds, dirty ideas, idiots with trillion$. These billionaires and their foot soldiers are more than out of touch creeps. They do not care about humanity.

Here, heroe, Jane Jacobs:

The late Jane Jacobs received the Vincent Scully Prize from the Green Building Council in 2000. Jacobs made a seminal speech offering suggestions for communities on the four topics: Empowering immigrant neighborhoods to develop freely, investing in “community hearths,” dealing with gentrification, and, finally, encouraging small business activity. Although the speech was made 23 years ago, her excerpted comments resonate today:

We take it for granted that some things are improved or enhanced with the passage of time, and the things that the passing of times brings. Trees grow larger; hedges grow thicker, fine old buildings are put to uses that were never intended or anticipated, and increasingly appreciated as time passes. Now I am thinking of American city and suburban neighborhoods. On the whole, they have very chancy records of dealing well with time and change.

My first suggestion concerns immigrants. Right now, striving immigrants are settling in woebegone city suburbs to which time has been unkind. These newcomers are enlivening the dull and dreary streets with tiny grocery and clothing stores, second-hand shops, little importing and craft enterprises, skimpy offices, and modest but exotic restaurants.

Now either of two things can befall these newly minted immigrant neighborhoods. Neighborhoods serving only as immigrant launching pads repeatedly take a step or two forwards followed by two or three steps backwards while dilapidation inexorably deepens with time. In contrast, immigrant neighborhoods that succeed in holding on to their striving populations improve with time. They become civic assets in every respect: social, physical, and economic. Progress on the part of the population is reflected in the neighborhood with increasing diversity of income, occupation, and vision, education, skills, and connections. Time becomes the ally, not the enemy, of such neighborhoods.

Self-respecting people, no matter what their ethnic origins, abandon a place if it becomes fixed in their minds that it is an undignified or insulting place to be. Here’s my suggestion: smart municipalities ought to contradict that perception before it takes hold. By making sure that newly minted immigrant neighborhoods receive good municipal housekeeping, public maintenance, community policing, and fair justice services, along with some respectful amenities too—like traffic taming and street trees. And, if they want to provide for themselves, giving quick, hassle-free permissions to organize open-air markets, or run jitney services or make whatever other life-enhancing improvements they want to provide for themselves.

My second suggestion has to do with communities’ needs for hearth, or centers, and with related problems like inappropriate commercial incursion. The object is to nurture locales where people, on foot, will naturally encounter one another.

Let’s think a minute about the natural community anatomy of community hearths. Wherever they develop spontaneously, they are often consequences of two or more intersecting streets well used by pedestrians. On the most meager level, we have the cliché of the corner store or pub that is recognized as a local hangout. “Corner” implies two streets intersecting in the shape of an X or a Y. In traditional towns, the spot recognized as the center of things often contains a triangular piece of ground because it is where three main routes converge in the shape of a Y.

Large cities have typically developed not only localized neighborhoods or district hearths, but also several major hearths. These also have almost invariably located themselves at busy pedestrian streets intersections. All but the smallest hearths typically provide splendid sites for landmark buildings, public squares, or small parks. Now, the converse logic doesn’t work. Living, beating community hearths can’t be arbitrarily located as if they were suburban shopping centers for which the supporting anatomy is a parking lot, or perhaps a transit stop. But given the anatomy of well-used pedestrian main streets, hearths locate themselves. In fact, they can’t be prevented from locating themselves. Of course, good design can greatly enhance or reinforce them.

Angel Cafe
A neighborhood hearth: The Angel Café in San Francisco.

Now for the related problem of commercial or institutional facilities intruding into inappropriate places. Artists’ create renderings for charmingly designed community hearths surrounded by charmingly designed residences with their yards, and I wonder where future overflows of commerce can be pleasantly accommodated. Perhaps this consideration doesn’t matter in a village destined to remain a village, but it matters very much in a city neighborhood or in a village that becomes engulfed by a city. In cities, successful hearths attract users from outside the neighborhood, and they also attract entrepreneurs who want to be where the action is. If these things didn’t happen, cities wouldn’t generate urban surprise, pizzaz, and diversity.

So with time and change, originally unforeseen institutional and commercial overflows can occur in city neighborhoods. They may have to find and adapt makeshift quarters. Most commonly they appear to be jarring, intrusive smears in the residential streets where they were never meant to intrude. Watching this happen, people think, “the neighborhood is going to the dogs.” And so it is, visually. So much of this deterioration is disliked and feared that one of the chief purposes of zoning regulations is to prevent it. Even if the regulations succeed at holding time and change at bay, as enemies, any success comes at the cost of squelching new conveniences and innovation.

Here is where the anatomy of natural neighborhood hearths can come to the rescue. ;One important advantage of open-ended main pedestrian streets forming intersections is that these streets are logical places for convertible buildings before there is need to convert them. They can be a designed form of neighborhood insurance, so to speak. Row houses can be designed to convert easily and pleasantly to shops, small offices, studios, restaurants, and even to small schools and other institutions. And, of course, many buildings originally built for work, convert pleasantly to apartments or living-and-working combinations.

I am suggesting that urban designers and municipalities should not think about attractive hearths without also thinking about the indispensable street anatomy required by hearths. And they should not think about the street anatomy without also providing or encouraging easily convertible buildings on most streets as opportunity to do this arises. This is a practical strategy for dealing with time and change as allies, not as enemies.

My third suggestion concerns gentrification of low-cost neighborhoods to which time has not been kind, but which have valuable assets nevertheless. Typically the first outsiders to notice these assets are artisans. They are joined by young professionals or other middle-class people whose eyes have been opened by the artists’ discoveries. For a time, gentrification brings heartening renovation and other physical improvements in a neighborhood that needs improvement along with new people, connections, and life skills. As long as gentrification proceeds gently with moderation, it tends to extend beneficial and diversifying change. But nowadays, a neighborhood’s “golden age of gentrification” can be surprisingly short. Suddenly, so many new people want in a place now generally perceived to be interesting and fashionable that gentrification turns economically and socially vicious. It explodes into a feeding frenzy of real-estate speculation and evictions. Former inhabitants are evicted wholesale, priced out by what Chester Hartman has aptly called “the financial bulldozer.” Even the artists who began the process are priced out. The eventual ironic result is that even the rich are cheated by this turn of events. The lively, interesting, and diverse city neighborhood they were attracted to is being killed as the place becomes an exclusive preserve for only high-income people.

When gentrification turns vicious and excessive, it tells us, first, that demand for moderately gentrified neighborhoods has outrun the supply of them. The key attributes of such places that the artists discover are: a) The streets have human scale; b) The buildings are variably interesting; c) The streets are safe for pedestrian use; d) Many conveniences are within pedestrian reach; and e) Neighbors are tolerant of diverse lifestyles.

A few weeks ago, I was in Richmond, Virginia, and my nephew gave me a tour. I was astounded and heartened to see neighborhoods that I remembered as looking quite hopeless, now up-and-coming, attractive, and people doing a lot of do-it-yourself repairs and changes on them. And I was also charmed to see that neighborhoods like this looked very much as though they had been designed by New Urbanists [chuckles]. That tells us something. It’s pitiful that so many city neighborhoods with these excellent basic attributes have been destroyed for highway construction, “slum clearance,” urban renewal, and housing projects.

My final suggestion concerns the hazards of a somewhat different form of popularity. The hazard of community hearths attracting outsiders is this: as leases for commercial or institutional spaces expire, tenants are often faced with shockingly increased rents. Property taxes on the premises can soar too, instigating even further rent increases. This only prevents commercial overflow, but many facilities are priced out of the mix. The hardware store goes. The bookstore closes. The place that repairs small appliances moves away. The butcher chops and the bakeries disappear. As diversity diminishes, into its place comes a monoculture. Starting gradually while times are good, and rapidly when they aren’t, the street becomes dotted with vacancies.

A popular pedestrian main street running through my own neighborhood is now afflicted by this dynamic. Fortunately, the hardware store remains, so does the bookstore, one butcher shop with its associated European grocery, and a large general bargain and outlet store. Not only do they remain; they flourish. The secret of their stability is that they own the buildings where they do business, and so were not vulnerable to being priced out by soaring rents. This has caused me to think about home ownership. When it became public policy in the United States to encourage home ownership, financial devices, such as long-term mortgages, small down-payments, and mortgage acceptance corporations, and agencies, primarily the FHA, proved successful at promoting the policy.

This has made me wonder whether similar techniques would enable or encourage small businesses, especially those whose success depends heavily on location, to own their own premises. Why shouldn’t it become public policy to foster business stability and stability of city streets and neighborhoods by enabling enterprises to protect themselves through ownership against abruptly rising rents. I have arrived at the conclusion that ownership is the surest protection against being priced out of a place of work.

These four suggestions may seem trivial compared to other municipal concerns: Racism, poor schools, traffic, unemployment, illegal drugs, inadequate tax revenues, crime, persistent poverty, what to do with garbage, how to lure tourists, whether to build another stadium or convention center, and so on. Nevertheless, neighborhoods that decline are pretty serious, too. Two steps forward followed by three steps back is no way for a city to progress. And it doesn’t help to solve other municipal problems, either. The pattern makes them more intractable, and it isn’t new. Unless these forms of civic ineptitude are faced and overcome, American city neighborhoods are as unlikely to deal well with time and change in the future as they’ve been in the past.

The suggestions I’ve made may not be politically possible. There may be better or different means of accomplishing similar aims. My purpose is to help stir up creative thinking about how to enlist time and change as practical allies, not as enemies that must be regulated out and fended off on the one hand, or mentally surrendered to, on the other. We might as well learn how to make constructive alliances with the workings of time because time is going to continue happening. Any living thing is involved with time and the changes that time brings, it’s also true of city neighborhoods.

This is such a commentary on these dirty people, Goyim or Zionist, new or old or future Greater Israel: “Volodymyr Zelensky and Larry Fink agreed to focus in the near term on coordinating the efforts of all potential investors and participants in the reconstruction of our country, channeling investment into the most relevant and impactful sectors of the Ukrainian economy,” the Ukrainian government said in statement a year ago.

If you are not sickened yet, with the bombardment of Ukraine vis-a-vis the USA, EU, NATO, well well, then you are not a human. This piece of stain has taken Ukraine to the brink of total death, and his exploits with stupidity and machoism. Below, a calm real voice. Viva Russia.

So, we have BlackRock and JP Morgan, and hundreds of thousands dead and wounded. Thanks to the Nazi Jewish Man:

“The enemy plan was to blockade Melitopol by the end of the 15th day of the offensive,” Valery Gerasimov said. The Ukrainians then planned to advance towards the Sea of Azov, the city of Mariupol, and the border of Crimea, he added.

Melitopol is a large city in Zaporozhye Region, located some 40 km away from the coast of the Azov Sea and about 15 km away from Molochnyi Lyman, a large coastal estuary connected with it.

Gerasimov noted that the core of the Ukrainian force used in the counteroffensive consisted of brigades trained and armed by Western nations. The grouping that was supposed to reach the Azov Sea initially included 50 battalions armed with over 230 tanks and more than 1,000 infantry fighting vehicles, half of them Western-made, he reported. The force was later boosted to 80 battalions, according to the general.

Russian troops prepared deep defensive lines to prepare for the planned attack. When Ukraine launched it on June 4, it “achieved minor advancement at the cost of colossal losses,” failing to breach “even the tactical zone of our defenses,” he stressed.

Additional supplies of Western weapons and the deployment of strategic reserves by Kiev failed to turn the tide, Gerasimov added.

“Hence, the counteroffensive, which Ukraine and its NATO allies had touted widely, failed,” the general stated. The Russian official reiterated that the Ukraine conflict was a “hybrid proxy war against Russia by the US and its allies,” waged with Ukrainian hands. Washington wants to prolong the conflict by providing military assistance to Kiev, he claimed.

In addition to conducting active defense on the front line, Russian forces are using long-range precision weapons to attack Ukrainian “command sites, defense factories and critical objects with a military purpose,” Gerasimov said, adding that over 1,500 such targets have been hit. Degrading the Ukrainian military industrial capacity has been a major achievement, he noted.

Israeli jazz musician slams US on Palestine's UN bid

Gilad Atzmon is frequently misdescribed as a Holocaust denier, but here’s what he actually writes about the Holocaust in The Wandering Who? –

“It was actually the internalisation of the meaning of the Holocaust that transformed me into a strong opponent of Israel and Jewish-ness. It is the Holocaust that eventually made me a devoted supporter of Palestinian rights, resistance and the Palestinian right of return.”

Atzmon asserts that Israel granting Palestinians the right of return “won’t just resolve the conflict in the Middle East, it would also bring to an end two millennia of mutual suspicion and resentfulness between Christians and Jews.”

The only obstacle Atzmon sees to this plan being enacted is that “Jewishness is an ethnic-centric ideology driven by exclusiveness, exceptionalism, racial supremacy and a deep inherent inclination towards segregation.”

[…]

Of his great-grandmother’s death in the Holocaust, Atzmon writes, “The fate of my great-grandmother was not so different from hundreds of thousands of German civilians who died in deliberate, indiscriminate bombing, just because they were Germans.”

[…]

Atzmon — whose true vocation is as a bebop saxophonist — writes that “the Palestinians are the indigenous people of the land, and the rockets they shoot from time to time are nothing but love letters to their stolen villages, orchards, vineyards and fields.”

{..}

In his novel My One and Only Love, Atzmon portrays Israeli intelligence services going out of their way to protect Nazi war criminals, to prevent the sense of closure that might be achieved through these Nazis being tried, “to keep the Shoah legacy going as long as possible.” Characteristically, Atzmon hits on making a serious point — that it is wrong to use the spectre of the Holocaust to deflect all criticism of actions by the Israeli government. Westerners are hopelessly conflicted here – how much pro-Israeli feeling among Westerners is driven by guilt over the Holocaust, and how much pro-Palestinian feeling by guilt over imperialism in the Middle East? Atzmon is offended by “those who put their Jewish-ness over and above all of their other traits.”

Q&A with Gilad Atzmon: Jazz Traveler with Passion for Politics

As a member of the Israeli air force band — playing music which he and his fellow members hated (“Sometimes we even gathered in the afternoon just to practice playing badly,” to avoid being called to perform) — in Lebanon during Israel’s 1982 invasion, he encountered the infamous Ansar prison camp, an experience that would transform him into a passionate enemy of Zionism and proponent of Palestinian liberation.

“I noticed that we were surrounded by two dozen concrete blocks each around one square meter in area and 1.3m [just over four feet] high, with small metal doors as entrances. I was horrified by the thought that my army was locking guard dogs into these boxes for the night. Putting my Israeli chutzpah into action, I confronted the officer about these horrible concrete dog cubes. He was quick to reply: ‘These are our solitary confinement blocks; after two days in one of these, you become a devoted Zionist!’

“This was enough for me. I realized that my affair with the Israeli state and with Zionism was over. Yet I still knew very little about Palestine, about the Nakba or even about Judaism and Jewish-ness, for that matter. I only saw then that, as far as I was concerned, Israel was bad news, and I didn’t want to have anything further to do with it.”

Kenneth Ballenegger, a Managing Partner of Oyster Ventures prefers a world where Palestinians don't reproduce

Stating on the Oyster Venture’s website that she honed her skills at Rothenberg Ventures, a firm described by Bloomberg as “The Valley’s Party Animal”, we wonder if Sophia Liao did even the most cursory of research on her soon to be co-managing partner, Kenneth Ballenegger.

Kenneth was previously the co-founder and Chief of Strategy of Republic Crypto, the blockchain arm of early-stage investment platform, Republic, and ran institutional fund products at Angellist.

In 2008, whilst attending Eden College in Durban, Kenneth penned a report for his history class titled “Report on Apartheid”. Based on surveying his teachers who lived through apartheid, Kenneth concludes:

“Apartheid is often criticized as a pure evil system, without taking the full factors and results into consideration. When compared to other post-colonial countries in Africa, the situation in South Africa today is much better than anywhere else. This is principally thanks to apartheid system, which albeit repressive and anti-constitutional, prevented full-scale civil war and evolved South Africa and made it into a modern developed country, and improved the quality of living”

Whilst one can put this down to a mind not yet of age, Kenneth’s proclivity for genocide was seemingly just getting started.

In subsequently deleted X posts, Kenneth called for re-education camps and the sterilisation of the people of Gaza, as the “only way to pacify the jihadi population” and went on to say that “the world would be a much better place if they didn’t reproduce”

Yeah, infants, keeping Christians childlike and childish: Christmas is on Dec. 25, but it wasn’t always. Dec. 25 is not the date mentioned in the Bible as the day of Jesus’s birth; the Bible is actually silent on the day or the time of year when Mary was said to have given birth to him in Bethlehem. The earliest Christians did not celebrate his birth.

[Photo: The nativity scene depicting a baby amid the rubble symbolises Gaza’s war [Getty] ]

“And when the angels said, ‘O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary – distinguished in this world and the hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah]” (The Quran 3:45).

There is something beautifully sacred about the moment in the Quran when the angels inform Mary she is about to give birth to Jesus. Angels bring her the good news. They tell her of how “He will speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity and will be of the righteous.”

The massive propaganda to cast the resistance of Palestinians to the colonial occupation and theft of their homeland as a battle between “Jews and Arabs” was so dominant in the la la land of the US and even Europe that the very idea that Palestinians are Christians, too, and that Jesus was, in fact, a Palestinian Jewish Rabbi scares and confuses the living daylight out of their slumbering ignorance.

The very simple fact that Palestinians have historically been Jews, Christians, and Muslims was hard to digest in that la la land. By extension, also the very simple fact that Christ and Mary are two seminal figures in the Quran has also been seen as a strange proposition in this banality.

Jesus was a Palestinian Jew who spoke Aramaic, a language in the same family as Hebrew and Arabic. He came from the same prophetic tradition as Prophets Moses and Mohammad.

There are, of course, doctrinal differences between the figure of Jesus as he appears in the Quran and his divinity as understood in Christianity. Here it is crucial to remember the manner in which in both Persian poetry and Islamic mysticism, the figure of Christ expands into the far more pervasive icon of divine mercy. The seminal Sufi master Ibn Arabi (1165-1240) has in his works, particularly in the chapter, The Wisdom of Prophecy in the Word of Jesus, in his masterpiece, Fusus al-Hikam/Bezels of Wisdomsought to bring conceptual harmony between the Muslim and Christian perceptions of Jesus.

Through his doctrine of “Oneness of Being”, Ibn Arabi accommodated the question of sonship in Christian doctrine: Jesus emerges as a “Perfect Man” and “the Seal of Saints”. Ibn Arabi cites the Quranic references to Jesus’ ability to bring a clay bird to life as an indication of the Divine Will.

Christmas Bethelem Reuters

In his exquisite study, Jesus Through the Centuries: His Place in the History of Culture (1985), the eminent historian and theologian Jaroslav Pelikan has demonstrated that, throughout history the image of Christ has gone through successive reformations, from a Jewish Rabbi to “Light of Gentiles”, “the King of Kings”, “the Son of Man”, “the Monk who rules the World”, “the Universal Man”, “the Prince of Peace”, to a liberator who inspired Lev Tolstoy, Mahatma Gandhi, and Martin Luther King, Jr to “the Man who belongs to the World”.

Attempts to provide biblical warrants for Christian participation in warfare have long been offered by those who reject Christ-centered nonviolence. Some of the arguments that have frequently been offered in defense of Christians on the battlefield go back to the fourth century to Ambrose and Augustine. Below in bold type are brief statements of some of the more common “biblical” justifications for the Christian’s participation in war. Following each of them is a short response that indicates why the argument fails to make the intended case.

“When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed; this must take place, but the end is still to come” (Mark 13:7, also Matt. 24:6, Lk. 21:9).

The followers of Jesus conquer “by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony” (Rev.12:11). Any violence that is done in this highly symbolic book is performed by Christ himself, along with angelic forces. The primary weapon of Jesus is the “sword from his mouth” (Rev. 1:16, 19:15, 21).

In the book of Revelation, as elsewhere in the New Testament, Christians are not to cause suffering but are called upon to endure it, trusting that the ultimate victory is in the hands of God. Nowhere in scripture are Christians called to emulate the glorified Christ in ways of judgment, power or punishment. Instead Christians are urged to follow the self-giving way of the incarnate One, “Who though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant…[H]e humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross” (Phil. 2:6-8). — Craig M. Top UN official in New York steps down citing ‘genocide’ of Palestinian civilians

Craig Mokhiber, director of human rights body, accuses the US, UK and much of Europe as ‘wholly complicit in the horrific assault’

The director of the New York office of the UN high commissioner for human rights has left his post, protesting that the UN is “failing” in its duty to prevent what he categorizes as genocide of Palestinian civilians in Gaza under Israeli bombardment and citing the US, UK and much of Europe as “wholly complicit in the horrific assault”.

Craig Mokhiber wrote on 28 October to the UN high commissioner in Geneva, Volker Turk, saying: “This will be my last communication to you” in his role in New York.

Mokhiber, who was stepping down having reached retirement age, wrote: “Once again we are seeing a genocide unfolding before our eyes and the organization we serve appears powerless to stop it.”

The Pink Washing lies of Isra-Hell, oh what a new LGBTQA+ Uniformed USA Services we have — blast them all to kingdom come!

Pinkwashing is an Israeli government propaganda strategy that cynically exploits LGBTQIA+ rights to project a progressive image while concealing Israel’s occupation and apartheid policies oppressing Palestinians.

For decades, Israel’s colonial and apartheid regime has robbed, oppressed, ethnically cleansed, impoverished, imprisoned and killed Palestinians, queer and non-queer alike.

As Israel’s far-right government allies itself with homophobic, intolerant and racist leaders around the world, including Brazil’s Jair BolsonaroHungary’s Viktor Orbán, and Christians United for Israel (CUFI) leader, pastor John Hagee, who combines anti-Semitism with Islamophobiasexism, and homophobia, LGBTQIA+ communities are seeing through the pink smokescreen. There is growing awareness that queer and trans liberation cannot be separated from Palestinian liberation.

Anti-pinkwashing activists and groups have pushed Palestinian rights to the forefront of Pride events across the world. More than 100 LGBTQIA+ groups supported the call from Palestinian queers to boycott Eurovision 2019 in apartheid Tel Aviv. Dozens of queer filmmakers have withdrawn or opposed screenings of their films at TLVFest, the Israeli government-sponsored LGBT film festival in Tel Aviv.

What I told the Navy about being Gay

While LGBT personnel obtained routine medical care in percentages similar to non-LGBT personnel, they reported more smoking, binge drinking, risky sexual behavior, and adverse sexual health outcomes. The percentages of LGBT personnel experiencing mental health issues and those with a history of physical abuse and sexual assault were particularly high. These observed differences were similar to those observed for LGBT people in the general U.S. population.

Although these individuals are a small portion of the force, these disparities warrant close attention and tracking by DoD and the Coast Guard so that the specific needs of this subgroup can be addressed. This is particularly important for the Navy, which has the highest percentage of gay men serving and of LGBT service members overall, and in the Marine Corps, which has the highest percentage of bisexual women serving. Policies that enhance, for example, efforts to prevent substance use and sexual risk behaviors may address LGBT health disparities. Although one option is to target the LGBT population with clinical and population efforts, such an approach may stigmatize LGBT service members.

Gen. Mike Minihan, commander of Air Mobility Command.

The four-star general had just wrapped up a high-octane keynote speech at the Air Force and Space Force Association’s 2022 Air, Space and Cyber Conference, where he gave an address titled the “Mobility Manifesto.” While shouting into a wireless microphone away from the podium, he underscored two main points: “Lethality matters most” and China’s military is “tailor-making an air force to kill you.”

Months later, in a memo dated Feb. 1, Minihan took it a step further. He told his command that war with China was right around the corner, and he called on airmen with weapons qualifications to “fire a clip into a 7-meter target with the full understanding that unrepentant lethality matters most. Aim for the head.” He also advised airmen to update their virtual Record of Emergency Data, essentially their dependents’ contact information and wills.

Ahh, Russia has a right to preventative self-defense!

Russia, Ukraine & the Law of War: Crime of Aggression

Putin’s government has offered a series of justifications for Russia’s use of force on Ukraine on different legal fronts. Chief among them is the claim that the eastward expansion of NATO is a direct threat to the security of Russia and therefore triggers Russia’s right of self-defense. There might be some merit to the first part of this claim on the political and military front, bearing in mind that NATO was born -basically- to keep the USSR (now Russia) in check; however, down law alley, this is an abuse of right. Ukraine is free to join whatever collective security arrangements it deems appropriate (without prejudice to the ability of Russia to attempt to deter or dissuade them by diplomatic and legal means) as a function of its sovereignty. Attempting to coerce Ukraine by force into abandoning its bid for NATO membership is the functional equivalent of claiming preventive self-defense. This is, in many ways, a destiny of NATO and friends’ own making. The claims for preventive self-defense put forth by the US and Israel, among others, seeking to justify their aggressions have sowed the land so that Russia may try and reap it.

Russia’s representative in the UN Security Council invoked the right of self-defence and attached the speech by President Putin announcing the “special military operation” as justification for its action immediately following the invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces. In that statement Putin referred to various reasons for its claim of self-defence. These included past allegedly unlawful uses of force by Western nations in Iraq, Syria, Libya and Yugoslavia, the “threatening expansion” of nato towards Russia’s borders, the alleged plight of persons of Russian ethnicity in Ukraine, especially the Donbas region and the “ genocide” supposedly being perpetrated against them, and the “request for assistance” by the breakaway enclaves of Luhansk and Donetsk, which had been recognized as independent States by Russia only days before the invasion commenced. All of this made it in his words imperative to take action to rid Ukraine of supposedly “anti-Russian” and “Nazi” elements and enforce its “demilitarization and neutrality”

Shock and Awe, USA Style:

On Aug. 26, 2002 Vice President Dick Cheney specifically linked Bush’s embryonic doctrine of pre-emption to Iraq, declaring at a convention for the Veterans of Foreign Wars that:

“What we must not do in the face of a mortal threat is to give in to wishful thinking or willful blindness…deliverable weapons of mass destruction in the hands of a terror network or murderous dictator or the two working together constitutes as grave a threat as can be imagined. The risks of inaction are far greater than the risks of action.”

Or, 2023: IDP? Internally Displaced Person which is Intentionally Displace Person in my mind!

The tragic reality at KYTC underscores the immense catastrophe these IDPs endure. Privacy concerns, social issues, and the catastrophic living conditions paint a grim picture, but these individuals are resilient. Their struggle for improvement persists, and they depend on the world’s compassion and support.

The Khan Younis Training Center (KYTC) is the only choice amidst a relentless storm. Driven from their homes by unceasing conflict, individuals and vulnerable groups have sought sanctuary at KYTC. Hope mingles with despair in this place, where conditions are far from ideal.

Demographics:

• Total IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons): 22,093

• Families: 4,290

• Children under 3 years old: 1,006

• Persons with Disabilities: 234

• Cancer patients: 16

• Newborn babies with their mothers: 52

• Vulnerable individuals before displacement: 561

• People with chronic diseases: Approximately 300

Living Conditions:

• Space per person: Less than 2 square meters per person.

• Toilets available: 24

• IDPs per toilet: 613

• Daily solid waste generated: Approximately 20 tons

• Food shortage: Families face dire uncertainty due to a lack of food supply.

• Privacy and Space: The per-person space is alarmingly inadequate, leading to a loss of privacy and social issues.

• Skin Diseases: Scabies and other skin conditions proliferate due to insufficient water and hygiene.

• Drinking Water: Most IDPs are left with no choice but to consume irrigation water, endangering their health.

Infrastructure and Utilities:

• Electricity: Unavailable since the first day of shelter operation.

• Power source: Generators running on fuel.

• Fuel shortage: Restricted fuel entry into Gaza Strip adds to the crisis.

• Water source: An in-house well, primarily used for irrigation and toilets, necessitates electricity for water pumping.

• Wastewater system: Overwhelmed and facing flooding issues.

• Sanitation: Toilets and bathrooms are in deplorable, unsanitary conditions.

Challenges:

• Sustainability: The shelter faces unprecedented challenges, with generators on the brink of failure.

• Support Efforts: Tireless efforts continue to provide essential support, including blanket and food distribution to address basic needs.

• Recent Interventions: In response to the catastrophic conditions, the following measures have been implemented to alleviate the crisis:

• Digging of septic tanks for sewage management.

• Installation of 6 units of precast toilets and showers.

• Distribution of plastic sheets to provide shelter from the sun and rain for those sleeping outside.

• Establishment of 3 medical points within the shelter, providing critical healthcare.

• Public Awareness and Psychosocial Support: A foundational program is in place to elevate public awareness and provide psychological and social support activities for children, offering a ray of hope in dire circumstances.

So, the daft Newsweek poll, and headline, speaks to the brainwashing, to the narrative framing, to the dumb-downing, to the constant savagery and brutality of Capitalism in its glorious forms — casino, predatory, shock and awe, penury, zombie, inverted totalitarian, take your pick.

Younger generations in the U.S., including millennials and Gen Zers, are much more likely to believe that the Social Security system needs reforming than those in their 60s and 70s, according to a recent survey conducted by Redfield & Wilton Strategies on behalf of Newsweek.

A majority of 63 percent of Americans “strongly agreed” (28 percent) or “agreed” (35 percent) that the Social Security system needs to be reformed, according to the Redfield & Wilton Strategies/Newsweek poll. Only 10 percent “strongly disagreed” (5 percent) or “disagreed” (another 5 percent).

The poll was conducted on December 8 among a sample population of 1,500 eligible voters in the U.S.

“They have been told by Republicans in Congress, seconded by deficit hawks in think tanks, that the money will run out before they can claim it,” he said. “None of that is true. But, luckily, the younger generation’s skepticism of experts and politicians will help prevent the kind of unnecessary tinkering with future, never present, Social Security payments that some older folks advocate.”

So, here, we must stop and listen to Aspen Institute and the Jewish Leader?

logo

Ida Rademacher, vice president at the Aspen Institute and co-executive director of the Aspen Financial Security Program, told Newsweek that there are a number of proposals to lower costs or increase revenues for Social Security.

“While making those hard choices, policymakers should ensure the benefits of people who depend most on Social Security remain protected,” she said. “Policymakers should also consider changes to our worker retirement savings systems that also significantly impact people’s retirement security,” Rademacher added. “Fifty-seven million workers lack access to a workplace retirement plan, one of the primary tools beyond Social Security for ensuring a secure retirement and building wealth. Closing or eliminating that savings gap would help millions prepare better for retirement and build wealth, ideally making Social Security one of many retirement security pillars for those workers, not the only one.” Without any reform to the system, Rademacher said, “different generations will face unique costs.”Younger generations “would have the largest gap to cover in terms of lost revenue in retirement,” she added, while “older generations, especially younger baby boomers, would have the least time to prepare for significantly lower Social Security income.”

Fuck this fascist Jewish criminal: Aspen is a wonderland for the world’s top 1 percent and Aspen Institute, a school for elite politicians seems to be an ill suited place to learn emphatic leadership

They must die! Today: Aspen is a far cry from Historian Monroney’s description. In 2015, celebrity Drew Barrymore hosted a session at the Aspen Food & Wine Classic festival with around 5,000 attendees paying up to $1,450 to listen to Barrymore shill her brand of Pinot Grigio along with other ultra exclusive talks like “Wines for IPO Billionaires”. More recently, Mariah Carey and paramour made headlines in 2018, tossing snowballs at awaiting paparazzi as she shopped at Louis Vuitton.

Given that the Institute purports to confront the world’s greatest challenges – climate change, trade wars and rising inequality, politicians from all over the world including France, Spain, Italy, and even Ukraine where nearly 10% of their parliamentarians including the Ukranian Prime Minister, have attended Aspen. The altruistic, do-gooder policy centre with affiliate branches in Berlin, Kiev, Madrid, Paris, Prague, Rome, Mexico City, New Delhi and Tokyo; albeit all in elite enclaves of their respective cities – case in point: Institut Aspen France is on 203 rue Saint Honore – the same street as Hermes.

They truly must die.

To atone, I am going to record a video berating myself for failing to purge myself of every last anti-Semitic thought, like “Palestinians are human” and “this media coverage sure seems awfully one-sided” and “I’m not sure the Israelis are telling the truth about those headchopped babies.”

Of course, Jesus was a Palestinian:

Like Abraham grabbing an axe and smashing the idols of his fathers, today’s young people need to pick up a fire extinguisher and put out the flames of Jewish Supremacism before they burn down the world.

Though most people, aside from conspiracists like Dan Brown, agree that Jesus left no descendants, clearly he was Palestinian. That means that today’s Palestinians, who converted to Christianity and Islam down through the centuries, are descendants of Jesus’s relatives. So Sarah Silverman’s only half-joking remark “I hope the Jews did kill Jesus, I’d do it again in a second!” is all too apropos. They are doing it again, in Gaza, practically every second. Every Palestinian child who expires slowly in agony under the rubble of what had been her home is another baby Jesus dying on the cross of Jewish Supremacy. And the Jewish supremacists know it, and relish that baby’s pain. — Kevin Barrett

Ahh, so we should just dump Social Security and give it (our money) to Vanguard and Blackrock and the top (sic) 100 investment products? Here’s the House N*g*e* Obama and his Oh-Bombing Us with his for-profit song and dance.

Present times call for exactly the policy recommended in vain by Roosevelt’s Left advisors. Obama’s response could have been penned by Roosevelt himself. At the December 3, 2009 “jobs summit” he repeated a favorite refrain:

“I want to be clear: While I believe the government has a critical role in creating the conditions for economic growth, ultimately true economic recovery is only going to come from the private sector.”

In September 2010 he flat-out dismissed government creation of jobs:

“I’ve never believed that government’s role is to create jobs or prosperity…I believe it’s the private sector that must be the main engine of our recovery.”

With outsourcing and technological labor-displacement proceeding apace while the captains of industry and finance reap historic profits in a stagnant economy, the current neoliberal settlement portends permanent unemployment. The rustling sound you now hear is Keynes tossing in his grave.

Just like Reagan, or FDR?

A photo-illustration of Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama

Aristocrats like Roosevelt disparaged relief as encouraging public expectations of government provision of social benefits, and as an alternative to workers’ dependence on the employer to make a living. Roosevelt displayed unabashedly the disdain for relief characteristic of his class. In the 1935 Address he declared that

“[D]ependence upon relief induces a spiritual disintegration fundamentally destructive of the national fiber. To dole out relief in this way is to administer a narcotic, a subtle destroyer of the human spirit. It is inimical to the dictates of a sound policy. It is in violation of the traditions of America. Work must be found for able-bodied but destitute workers. The federal government must and shall quit this business of relief.” (Source)

So, here we have fucking polls by fucking NewsSpeak, and we have young people polluted with ignorance, coded with zero history, and emboldened with this attitude of “have them eat Purina dog chow and live in a tent mentality.” Instead of TAXING those mother fuckers, the Rich. “How Franklin D. Roosevelt Botched Social Security” by Alan Nasser:

WPA would have to be universalized as enduring policy. This was indistinguishable from Keynes’s position noted above. The provision of social welfare could be maximally just and respectful of a citizen’s right, affirmed by Roosevelt himself, to earn a living only if public policies were in place to ensure full employment. Universal coverage of the elderly, CES proposed, would be effected by pensions paid for at first by both workers’ own contributions and the general revenues of the Treasury. Gradually the Treasury’s contribution would grow to cover most or all pension payments.

Roosevelt was adamantly opposed. The “relief” bugaboo kicked in, and the president dismissed the proposal as “the same old dole under another name.”  (6) Roosevelt wanted a plan with no traces of relief, no form of government contribution to Americans’ welfare unrelated to their own work contribution. This was to apply both to unemployment and to retirement. It was essential for the president that the program’s financing not draw on the Treasury.

Here was the vital link between Roosevelt’s rejection of any trace of relief and his prioritization of budget balancing. Social Security had to be “self-financing,” i.e. paid for by the co-parties of the work relation, employee and employer. Each would pay, out of her income, a tax which would be placed into a fund from which the worker would draw upon her retirement. No demands would be made on the Treasury.

Roosevelt wanted to design Social Security in such a way as “to preserve the system of private enterprise for profit…[and] compete as little as possible with private enterprises.” The program was to deliver what the market by itself could not, yet at the same time should embody to as great an extent as possible the principles of capitalism. To Roosevelt, this meant that a plan for social insurance must conform as closely as possible to the existing system of private insurance; it must reflect actuarial principles. A capitalist conceptual framework models the provision of public benefit such that the individual is prior to the social, the private prior to the public. Social Security was made to inhabit and accommodate itself to the space within which private profit is made.

Roosevelt’s conception of Social Security required, then, an economic counterpart to the private individual insurance premium. This was to be the payroll tax, a deduction from the wage. Roosevelt held to this conceit well before he was elected and he reiterated the same commitment years after the Social Security Act was passed. As early as 1930 he declared that any benefits accorded to workers through legislation should “be a result of their own efforts and foresightedness” so that they would “be receiving not charity, but the natural profits (sic) of their years of labor and insurance.” In 1934 he instructed Congress that the program’s funds “should be raised by contribution rather than by general taxation.” In his first meeting with the drafters of the legislation he reiterated that old age insurance “must be self-supporting, without subsidies from general tax sources.” Shortly thereafter he told an assemblage of experts on social insurance programs that Social Security “must not be allowed to become a dole through the mingling of insurance and relief….[and] must be financed by contributions, not taxes.” In response to strong objections from Rexford Tugwell, one of his most articulate underconsumptionist advisors, the president emphasized that he was “inclined toward a wholly contributory scheme with the government not participating.” Two years after SSA was passed Roosevelt reiterated his basic conception of social insurance, and its grounds: “[A]s regards social insurance of all kinds, if I have anything to say about it, it will always be contributed, both on the part of the employer and the employee, on a sound actuarial basis. It means no money out of the Treasury.” (7)

Not only did the contributory scheme mean no money out of the Treasury, it could become a cash cow for Treasury. Roosevelt and his fiscally conservative Treasury Secretary Henry Morgenthau were in accord that the contributory system had the double economic advantage of linking social benefits to work and ameliorating some of government’s financial problems. Morgenthau anticipated that Social Security taxes could be lent to the Treasury to finance New Deal deficits (much as Lyndon Johnson in 1967 concealed deficits by creating the “unified budget,” counting Social Security surpluses as part of the government’s general operating budget), reducing government’s borrowing needs. Funding Social Security out of general revenues would not have permitted this gambit.

Commenting on the final legislation, historian William E. Leuchtenburg observes that

“[T]he law was an astonishingly inept and conservative piece of legislation. In no other welfare system in the world did the state shirk all responsibility for old-age indigency and insist that funds be taken out of the current earnings of workers.” (8)

From inside the United States, it is hard to pinpoint exactly where beef is produced, since beef is grown in almost every state in the country. However, the top states in beef sales in 2013 were Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, California and Oklahoma. In reality, it has become harder to track down geographically where beef, and other meats, come from but it is easier to identify one of four or five large processing companies that harvested the animal. In the past, grocery stores and fast food restaurants would get their supplies from hundreds of different local slaughterhouses and farms. Four meat suppliers controlled a little over 20 percent of the beef supply market in 1970 and today, four companies control more than 85 percent of the market. In order for this to be possible, feed lots now contain up to 100,000 head of cattle, according to an interview award-winning, investigative journalist, Eric Schlosser did with PBS.

The meat industry should just acknowledge what's common sense: Fecal contamination of your meat is not a good thing.
  • 1. Eating one hamburger wastes more water on the planet than 2 months of showering.
  • 2. It takes 18 times as much land to feed a meat-eater than it does to feed a vegan.
  • 3. Meat does more damage to the atmosphere than all transportation combined.
  • 4. If we took all the feed we give to cattle on the planet and turned it into food for human beings, we could feed every human being on the planet.

But, precaution means getting rid of the billionaires: “Recent data from Oxfam’s research with the Stockholm Environment Institute shows that the wealthiest 1 percent of humanity are responsible for twice as many emissions as the poorest 50 percent and that by 2030, their carbon footprints are set to be 30 times greater than the level compatible with the 1.5°C goal of the Paris Agreement.”

Cowboy Critic

“Hello, my name is Howard Lyman and I am a recovering meat eater … dairy consumer … factory farmer.” Something for an Oprah show? Dr. Phil’s forte?

The Oprah reference is an accurate one for Lyman, the former operator of a super-industrialized livestock lot and dairy farm, now author (Mad Cowboy and No More Bull, both co-written with Glen Merzer) and advocate of vegetarianism, animal rights and stewardship of the land through sustainable agriculture. It was during an April 1996 Oprah show that the fourth-generation Montana cattleman — now living in Ellensburg — “let the cattle out of the bag” by confronting a spokesman for the National Cattleman’s Beef Association about the practice of feeding vegetarian ruminants their own kind. He suggests that the practice is a bizarre cannibalistic ritual set upon the industrialized meat-raising system to satisfy greed and the bottom line.

On the show, Lyman asserted that he and thousands of other cattle operators had been feeding their herds dead cows — downer cows put down because of cancer, viral diseases, genetic anomalies and mysterious neurological ailments — mixed with parts from butchered cows, including pulverized cow manure.

The proverbial cow pie hit the fan when it was acknowledged that this practice had rendered America’s beef supply susceptible to Mad Cow disease (BSE, or bovine spongiform encephalopathy), which had already taken its toll in the United Kingdom just a year earlier. Lyman, known as the “Mad Cowboy” or the “Vegan Rancher,” continues to speak out about abuses in industrial diary and beef operations like the one he ran outside Great Falls, Mont.

Lyman saw the light after more than 20 years of using road-kill and slaughtered cows as ground-up feed. After hundreds of gallons of antibiotics. After daily chemical fogs to douse flies — the No. 2 bane of feedlot operators “after bovine diseases in their various forms.” In the feedlot business, that pesky fly takes a toll on huge operations because of all those cattle unnaturally crammed into one small space.

“With every cow in a pen producing 25 pounds of manure in a day,” Lyman says, “the flies can get so thick that they actually threaten a cow’s ability to breathe.”

“Better farming through chemistry” was Lyman’s mantra before his transformation, so he attacked the insect problem on an industrial scale.

“Early in the morning I would fill up a fly fogger with insecticide and spray great clouds of it over the whole operation,” Lyman writes in his book. “The insecticide would of course fall into the feed and the water of the cattle, as well as on the trees and the grass and the crops.”

To Oprah — and Court

Lyman’s story hinges on his early years working with his grandfather and father.

“At 8 or 9 I began milking cows and branding calves,” he writes. “At 10 I learned how to castrate calves. At harvest time, I’d work long past dark cutting the grain. I’d rake hay and stack it, and I learned to drive a tractor and a team of horses. I worked every day of the year but two: July 4th and Christmas.”

Then he went off to college, leaving the 540-acre spread to his father and cancer-stricken older brother.

At the College of Agriculture at Montana State, Lyman was thrown into classes taught by chemists and academicians “without an hour’s worth of real farming experience among them.” It was the dawn of pesticides, herbicides, hormones and antibiotics.

In the early 1960s, his father was barely making ends meet; Lyman was going to take over the family business only if he could employ Big Ag’s bag of tricks. “My father had no choice,” he says. “He handed over the farm. But as he shook my hand on the deal, he had a few short words for me. He told me I was wrong.”

Eventually, Lyman saw the big picture when he scooped up that fourth-generation Lyman farm dirt and found it to be a lifeless, oily smelling, grey media for all the chemicals.

Jump ahead 20 years and picture Lyman in the Chicago studio of Harpo Productions. The audience is aghast at the commentary this ex-rancher is giving. Oprah and her brethren are freaked out by the prospect of that mad cow prion in the food supply, ready to attack humans — as it was doing in England.

Two months later Oprah, Harpo Productions and Lyman were hit with a “food disparagement” suit by Paul Engler, a Texas feedlot operator, and other Texas cattlemen as plaintiffs.

In 1998, Oprah, her production company, lawyers and Howard Lyman ended up in Amarillo, the first individuals sued under the Texas Food Disparagement Act. Her show went on, from Amarillo.

On Feb. 26, 1998, the jury found in favor of Lyman and Winfrey. No disparagement of beef. No damages levied.

Hold the Beef

Lazy R Ranch cattleman Maurice Robinette gets a kick out of Lyman’s claim to fame: “You have to hand it to him … he’s really found an interesting niche — vegetarian cattle rancher.” Robinette’s a third-generation Cheney cattleman with several university degrees who sees a future in responsible and sustainable cattle ranching. He runs 80 pairs of cattle and another 100 yearlings out of his Cheney operation. He also is Eastern Washington’s coordinator for the Washington Sustainable Food and Farming Network.

Robinette — who heads up Spokane’s Sustainable Agriculture Leadership Team, which helps local, small farmers — is battling against industrial farming, genetically modified crops, the huge bio-tech and ag giants, and the practice of concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs).

The reformed Lyman tips his hat to men like Lazy R’s owner for raising beef the old-fashioned way — grass-fed, with no hormones or antibiotics applied, in a manner that protects the soil and abates the impacts on the entire ecosystem. (an old story, Haeder)

But, do not believe the fascists at COP28, all of them in their 10,000 sqaure foot mansions and triple-homes and luxury cabanas.

The African Food Systems Transformation Collective launched a declaration on the commitments that government leaders at COP28 needed to make to transform African food systems. The collective is a network of over 200 leading African academics and civil society representatives.

The collective wants world leaders to protect traditional food and seed systems. It has urged global leaders to respect custodianship of nature and shared food as expressions of sacred African values of interdependence and care.

Research and learning must be informed by the wisdom of nature and indigenous knowledge. Locally led technological innovations can level the playing field and improve resource efficiency. These include enhanced traditional storage and processing and renewable energies.

Yet food systems transformations must also go beyond techno-fixes. They must make sure that everyone has fair access to good food.

Supporting people’s agency—their ability to govern food systems—is central to transformation. Women, youth, children, elders and small food enterprises must be able to participate in planning and decision-making. Governance must prevent land-grabbing and promote land reform to right current and historical injustices. Water resources must be managed democratically, to protect and regenerate catchments, coastlines and oceans. Everyone should enjoy equitable access to safe water.

The collective believes food systems must be nourishing, biodiverse, carbon-negative, resilient and fair. States and philanthropies should spur locally led adaptation.

The call was for COP28 leaders to commit to separating food systems from the fossil fuels, antibiotics, preservatives, pesticides, herbicides and artificial fertilizers they are currently centered on. Governments should instead promote local food production with short value chains and strengthen fair trade between African countries. This would mean a big change in regulations, and investment in new infrastructure and technology. Small and informal food enterprises should also be supported with climate-resilient infrastructure.

Yep, add that substance and cross thy fingers: According to the Cornell Chronicle, researchers first investigated the genetic reasons for broccoli growing abnormally when the thermometer creeps up, and the findings provided some clues as to how to create more heat-resistant varieties.

The outcome is particularly promising, although there’s still some research to be done.

When the Pentagon pulled the world’s biggest defense contractors into a meeting to tell them to ramp up production shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine, one CEO hesitated, saying they did not want to be stuck with a warehouse full of rockets when the fighting stopped, according to three people familiar with the discussion.

Nearly two years later, big defense firms are singing a different tune, with several expecting strong demand in 2024 as the U.S. and its allies load up on expensive weaponry and munitions with an eye on what they perceive as more aggressive actions from Russia and China.

Yeah, those fucking STEM motherfuckers, never will they give up their Eichmann Badges and their Faustian Bargain contracts. Oppenheimer Lives on.

“The Worst Days in Gaza” — these are the words of an extraordinary testimony by Lara Elborno, Palestinian journalist, talking directly from Gaza – with video illustrations – showing in a 4-minute video clip a reality that most of the west ignores, or wants to ignore.

Lara says:

“Everyday has been the worst day; Israel outdoes itself in brutality and destruction every day; so, every day is the worst day. The day Yoav Gallant (Israel’s Minister of Defense, alias War) announced that Palestinians would be denied food, water, and aid, was the worst day.”

“The day that Israeli Officials announced that they were rolling out the Gaza Nakba, was the worst day. (Nakba, means “catastrophe” in Arabic, and refers to the mass displacement and dispossession of Palestinians during the 1948 Arab / Palestine – Israeli war. A new Nakba is occurring now in Gaza).”

“The day that they sieged and surrounded the Al-Shifa Hospital, bombed the maternity ward, bombed the outside clinic, was the worst day.”

“The day that Israel dropped six 1-ton bombs on the Jabalia refugee camp, was the worst day.”

There is an endless chain of “Worst Days of Gaza” [ illustrated by pictures and video clips – worse than what the world has witnessed in at least the last seven decades, maybe in the last 300 years.]

There are millions who need bats to the head. Culling.

Precautionary Principle? Right, with these three B’s — Bibi, Ben-Gvir, Biden —destroying the world with their Wailing Wall Whackos and their Oppen-Monster-Heimers doing their Always Do Harm song and dance: Biden specifically mentioned Israel’s far-right politician Itamar Ben-Gvir, who is Israel’s national security minister, and said “this is the most conservative government in Israel’s history.”

“He [Bibi Netanyahu] has to change this government. This government in Israel is making it very difficult,” Biden said. He also said that ultimately Israel “can’t say no” to a Palestinian state, which Israeli hardliners oppose.

Biden alluded to a private conversation in which the Israeli leader said:

“‘You carpet bombed Germany, you dropped the atom bomb, a lot of civilians died.'”

Biden said he responded: “Yeah, that’s why all these institutions were set up after World War Two to see to it that it didn’t happen again … don’t make the same mistakes we made in 9/11. There’s no reason why we had to be in a war in Afghanistan.”

Netanyahu said in a statement on Tuesday that Israel had received “full backing” from the US for its ground invasion into Gaza and that Washington had blocked “international pressure to stop the war.”

Oh, those smarty pants scientists, STEM scum, where oh where are you now?

A group of protesters, some waving Palestinian flags, at a protest in Philadelphia.

In one Times article, Jonathan Weisman stated that “Jew hatred” is “holding Jews around the world responsible for Israeli government actions”—then gave as evidence what “pro-Palestinian protesters did last week outside an Israeli restaurant in Philadelphia.”

This is pure McCarthyite fiction. The Israeli-American restaurant owner had raised $100,000 for an organization that supports the Israeli military. It’s fine to target his restaurants with nonviolent protests.

The same McCarthyite fiction as University of Pennsylvania megadonor Marc Rowan, a Zionist, who fresh from forcing the school’s president to step down over the Orwellian “antisemitism” question in Congress, promoted rules to keep antisemitism from taking root in campus culture – aimed at stopping Palestinian advocacy.

Or the same hateful McCarthyism as the Long Island community that turned on a local man for questioning Israel’s conduct and stripped him of his — Santa Claus gig for the chamber of commerce! Ken Dorph made the terrible mistake of challenging American Jewish Committee advocates for Israel at a local temple– and 11 members of the temple wrote in that they didn’t feel safe with the 70-year-old in a red Santa outfit.

This is insane because everyone sees that these Zionist individuals and organizations are defending a genocide, and wielding the antisemitism charge against people who oppose the slaughter of civilians. And the liberal media are playing the useful-idiot role here. Celebrating the supposed revival of liberal Zionism, Vox’s Zack Beauchamp can’t ever say the truth about Zionism—it’s generally racist, and wed to apartheid. Just as Ezra Klein of the Times upholds Israeli Labor Zionist Nimrod Novik as an idealist — even as Novik calls for “separation” and a “strong Jewish majority” in Israel.

Letting Zionists occupy the moral high ground on the bigotry issue is not just wrong on facts, but a disaster politically. Even Biden seems to sense it. — Phil Weiss

even at a public event, the cancel culture, or variation on that theme, work day and night to let the world know ‘we won’t tolerate any deviation from the expected decorum, no contentiousness please.

First — Gaza is burning:

‘What I find striking is that there are actually people out there who are enthusiastically—what was it Yeats wrote, “the best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity”—and angrily declaring their support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza and in the Palestinian territory as you see the broken bodies of babies and women and men and the wholesale destruction of civilian life in Gaza. To see people actually organizing to support a perpetrator state against a defenseless civilian population and to hear the deeply racist ways that they are expressing that support, seemingly oblivious to the immorality of the positioning that they’re taking, is something that has hit me very hard.’

And the other thing that I think is unique here, that we have not seen perhaps since the McCarthy era, is the organized assault on human rights defenders in the United States.

But the fucking Americanos writ large DO NOT want to see, hear, speak, taste, smell the evil eminating from their own pores.

The Problem With Echo Chambers on Campus and Beyond

Bryan Stascavage, an Iraq War veteran, is a sophomore at Wesleyan University. He is on Twitter.

I think the unwillingness to have uncomfortable discussions at college is a recent development of the growing polarity in our society. And the effect of this polarity is pointing to the creation of stovepipes of thought, in which knowledge of valid opposing ideas has waned.

College campuses are not alone in this development. The stovepipes of thought have set up echo chambers where the range of acceptable discussion is narrow. Gun-toting right wingers? There is a round-the-clock source of information for those viewers, where all news is conveniently presented and analyzed to fit their world view. Liberal environmentalists have their own feed of filtered information.

Not only that, but a relatively small yet vocal and active group can sanitize discussion in those echo chambers by aggressively targeting dissenters, pressuring them to convert or leave. A salient example is the reaction at Wesleyan to my article on Black Lives Matter. Instead of engaging in discussion, a small group targeted the student newspaper for publishing an unpopular opinion.

Students are developing this idea further. Instead of being content with their own sanitized echo chambers, they are extending their worldview to the surrounding environment. These vocal activists are culturally terraforming the environment around them, using public shaming and soft threats as their means to keep voices they disagree with in check. The evidence of aggressive targeting by these activists already exists. Speakers have been uninvitedcomedians have sworn off performing at campuses. This is cultural terraforming in action.

When they graduate, they will take these values to their respective industries. And if the recent upheaval surrounding my college newspaper is foreshadowing, the news media industry may have a problem on its hands.

The end result will be even more polarization in America, with societal fault lines growing increasingly contentious and unproductive.

I wrote this after attending a gray whale talk: They Collect Data — As the World, well, Burns, Churns, Empties, Dies, Denudes!

In Newport, Oregon, around 25 people. I guarante NOT one there reads Substack (they do not know what Substack is, I guarantee).

I just received this email a week later:

Hi Paul,

Thank you so much for your help with the tech problems last week. Mac and PC are too different to work together I guess.

I did want to mention that some audience members expressed feeling uncomfortable due to the exchange with the scientists. We all have our own opinions and it’s fine to share them in the group. But we need to do so in a non-aggressive way, watching our language, tone, and body language. We had a handful of people who are not members of the ACS nor had attended our meetings or events before, so we need to provide a welcoming environment where questions and discussions are respectful. Thanks for understanding.

J***, American Cetacean Society!

I didn’t perseverate over it, for sure, but just a few minutes ago I broached it with someone I respect, but he’s a male and reads my stuff, and he is also ashamed at how shallow and cancelling the New New McCarthy America is.

Let me be clear — I did not stand up, raise my voice, or cuss once, or what have you. You can read what I said in the piece cited above.

The effect of this note is obvious, and I have to doubt that the person who wrote it would have not idea that I would take the short “watch you language, tone and body language” warning, not as a warning, and that I might not want to fool around or mess with these people in this venue.

Done deal:

Well, J***, I am sure you might have anticipated a variety of responses from me concerning this rather disconcerting email.

Look, I understand you are representing ACS, and you listen to folk tell you all sorts of things, i.e., what they think of presentations, who they want as speakers, and other topics. Great. That’s your role as chapter president. But to tell me that a “handful of people” who are not members who were there and who would somehow think my questions and comments would somehow reflect upon you, the speaker or the ACS, and be unwelcoming to them, is really pushing it.

This was announced as a public event, as you always seem to present these talks in the NNT. I am not going to go over what tone, body language, and language they or you might be referring to.

In this climate of young people not participating in events such as the ACS’s talks, any sort of policing an audience member’s tone and discussion is pathetic. And to top off this apparently knee-jerk reaction to someone in the “crowd” (me) who might have some point to make or some discussion to posit but who is then labelled as aggressive just illustrates how and why you, and these nameless folk, might be rendering the ACS and talks like these as irrelevant. Truly, when there are so many vibrant and far-ranging discussion points tied to environmental and ecological issues which might be discussed organically in a “science” talk.

Your email has had the effect of rendering me basically unwilling to put up with a “thought, body language and tone policing force” in this time of absolutely crucial political and funding issues around “the sciences” needing airing.

I suppose I should believe your email comes from good intentions, and that may be true, but the effect is chilling to me. That will have to be the end of the discussion on this topic. I will of course not be engaging in/attending ACS events in the future.

I know you just might be able to understand why I would rather not be in a room with thought and language police as well as basically thin skinned folk who seem unable to live in a world where even off-the-wall sort of comments or what have you are broached in their cloistered world. That’s sad, really, and their loss, but then, I could go on and on projecting what sort of people would even bother to mention my comments or “disrespectful” tone to you. Did they not realize you might be contacting me, and that the effect would most probably be me being completely turned off by such shallow and deriding comments about me?

Surprise: I have no interest now in attending these talks you all put on. Congratulations!

It’s telling how Abby Martin states she feels so fucking guilty for her safe home for her kids and husband with the genocide unleashed. Puts the entire “save the whale” issue in perspective.

Of course, we must not go on as if the world is the same before OCT. 7.

Trump, Biden, the lot of them want more killing. So, I say, screw the scientists.

Shock?

You want entire lagoons filled with dead sardines and mackrel? And don’t expect to see or hear science maybe making some projections.

Sardines and mackerels are seen washed up on a beach in Hakodate, Hokkaido, northern Japan

Officials in Japan have admitted they are struggling to determine why hundreds of tonnes of fish have washed ashore in recent days.

Earlier this month, an estimated 1,200 tonnes of sardines and mackerel were found floating on the surface of the sea off the fishing port of Hakodate in Hokkaido, forming a silver blanket stretching for more than a kilometre.

On Wednesday, officials in Nakiri, a town on the Pacific coast hundreds of miles south of Hokkaido, were confronted with 30 to 40 tonnes of Japanese scaled sardines, or sappa, which had been observed in the area a couple of days earlier.

Local fishers scrambled to collect the fish, fearing their carcasses would lower the oxygen content of the water as they decompose and damage the marine environment.

So, unlimited energy sources, hot rock boxes, black matter!

Both the Andora and Rondo CEOs attended the COP28 climate summit in Dubai where the power of Middle East petrostates was enough to weaken the global commitment to end fossil fuels. But both men came back enthused by the interest in their ideas and the dozens of other breakthroughs in clean energy.

“If you’d asked me five or 10 years ago, I would have said, I’m not sure we have everything we need to decarbonize,” Ponec said strolling through the solar array that powers his battery while a gas-fired power plant sat quiet and idle nearby. “But today, we have the tools we need. We just need to deploy them. The transition is inevitable. It’s going to happen. And if you talk behind closed doors to most of the people in the fossil fuel industry, they’ll say the same thing.”

The rocks are heated by thousands of photovoltaic panels that surround the Antora Energy prototype west of Fresno.

At some point in the dawn of humanity, a smarter-than-average homo sapien moved a rock away from the fire for warmth and invented the thermal battery.

Over a million years later, as humanity struggles to evolve past fossil fuels in time to avoid climate collapse, that simple idea is making a modern comeback – and hot rocks are hotter than ever, literally and figuratively.

“(The rocks) in the box right now are about 1,600 degrees Celsius,” Andrew Ponec said, standing next to a thermal battery the size of a small building. That is nearly 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit, “Hotter than the melting point of steel,” he explained.

But what makes his box of white-hot rocks so significant is they were not heated by burning tons coal or gas, but by catching sunlight with the thousands of photovoltaic solar panels that surround his prototype west of Fresno. (source: These hot rocks can glow brighter than the sun. They could also help spell the end of fossil fuels)

Engineers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison have developed a new technology that promises to make commercial nuclear fusion reactors one step closer to reality.

Nuclear fusion is a process that creates energy in the same way as our sun does. It involves the smashing together of two atoms with such force that they combine into a single, larger atom, releasing huge amounts of energy along the way.

Unlike nuclear fission—the nuclear reaction that is currently used in the energy sector—fusion does not create radioactive waste. It produces three to four times more energy than fission and does not release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, unlike burning fossil fuels. Fusion is also a very fragile process that will shut down in a fraction of a second if the correct conditions are not maintained. Therefore, there is no risk of nuclear meltdown from this reaction.

Ahh, those scientists!

“Aid? What aid? We hear about it and we don’t see it,” said Abdel-Aziz Mohammad, 55, displaced from Gaza City and sheltering with his family and three others, about 30 people in total, at the house of friends who live further south.

“I used to have a big house, two fridges full of food, electricity and mineral water. After two months of this war, I am begging for some loaves of bread,” he said by telephone.

“It is a war of starvation. They (Israel) forced us out of our homes, they destroyed our homes and businesses and drove us to the south where we can either die under their bombs or die of hunger.”

The head of the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, said on Thursday hungry people were stopping its aid trucks to take food and eat it straight away.

In northern Gaza, which bore the brunt of Israel’s military offensive during the first phase of the war, between Oct. 7 and the start of a truce on Nov. 24, intense combat has resumed and barely any aid has got through since the truce ended on Dec. 1.

Youssef Fares, a journalist from Jabalia in the north, said staple goods like flour were now so hard to find that prices had gone up by 50 to 100 times compared with before the war.

Sorry, but I am zero concerned about audience members’ sensibilities and thin-skins and quick to be insulted personalities. I fucking hope more and more people follow this fucking line.

Yep, there are so many Americans — some close to me — who will hands down take the side of the people at the event and believe the bullshit of bad tone, bad language, aggresiveness and bad body language.

Middle East expert loses job as Sag Harbor’s Santa over views on Israel

A Middle East expert and longtime resident was axed from his position as his small Long Island community’s Santa Claus this year after he blasted representatives of a Jewish organization for spreading “propaganda” for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Ken Dorph, a longtime resident of Sag Harbor, had been growing out his beard for the Chamber of Commerce’s Visit with Santa Claus — in which he would ride on board a fire truck to the village’s iconic windmill, where he would greet young children on Dec. 9.

But just three days before the event, Dorph, 70, received an email from the president of the Chamber of Commerce, telling him he was relieved of his duties, the New York Times reports.

She did not offer any explanation for the abrupt change in plans, only telling Dorph he was too outspoken for the role.

But apparently when word got out that Dorph would play Santa, members of a local synagogue started bombarding event organizers with emails objecting to his selection as jolly old St. Nick.

They claimed he made people uncomfortable during a Nov. 30 talk at the synagogue about the war in Israel when he sharply criticized speakers from the American Jewish Committee — a nonprofit advocacy group that supports Jewish people and Israel — from his seat in the audience.

Ken Dorph is pictured in an undated photo.

Dorph is pictured speaking at an event.

“He was very antagonistic, belittling them,” said Rona Klopman, 85, a member of the temple who attended the event virtually but was not involved in the email campaign.

“I could see why people would not be comfortable with him as Santa, who is supposed to be this jolly fellow trying to keep peace in the world,” she told the Times.

At the event, titled “Answering Tough Questions on Israel,” Dorph frequently voiced his frustration with the American Jewish Committee’s hour-long presentation, according to a video obtained by the Times.

He emphasized that he was heartbroken by the war with Hamas and “desperately wanted it to end,” but objected to the speakers’ characterizations of several topics — including the exact wording of Hamas’ charter and the relevance of the West Bank settlements to the current conflict.

Everything reportedly came to a head during a question-and-answer session, when Dorph cried out: “Honestly, you two could have just been propaganda for the Netanyahu government. I am appalled.”

The synagogue is pictured.

Some audience members were left visibly shaken, while the speakers tried to politely but sternly engage with Dorph — who has spent more than four decades working in the Middle East as a consultant in the financial sector.

Dorph later acknowledged he should have just left the synagogue when he became upset with what he was hearing, but said he had expected a forum for debate given the title of the presentation.

Instead, he said, it felt more like a workshop designed to equip pro-Israel advocates with responses to difficult questions they might face.

“I never said a curse word or stood up or threatened anyone, but it was hot under the collar, and I regret that,” Dorph told the Times.

In the aftermath, Ellen Dioguardi, president of the Chamber of Commerce, said she received 11 emails from synagogue members asking her to “find a different Santa” — the most complaints the chamber had ever received.

Some parents even claimed they would not come to the event if Dorph were involved.

A post about the event from the Chamber of Commerce.

Amid the backlash, Dioguardi told the Times: “We were able to find an anonymous Santa Claus free of distraction, and had a great event focused on the simple joy and wonder that is the holiday season.”

But Dorph still seems to be irked by the change of plans.

“I did feel ambushed … and of course, I am deeply disappointed by those who thought that canceling Santa — behind my back — was a valid response to my speaking out against the AJC propaganda (which it was),” he wrote on Facebook.

“I would have preferred to continue this discussion over drinks.”

He added that “a reporter who saw a video of the interchange at the temple said that it was ‘less heated than the average Sag Harbor [Zoning Board of Appeals] meeting,’ but of course we know that in the Hamptons, questioning variances for pools and pickleball courts raises emotions akin to accusations of ethnic cleansing.”

Dorph told the Times he now hopes to educate people about Arab cultures, perhaps by creating a website or a podcast.

He also said he was proud to stand out in the community of under 3,000 residents — among other things as a gay, white father of two adopted black children.

Dorph then went on to point out that this was not the first time St. Nick lost his job,

“In ‘Miracle on 34th Street,’ Santa was canceled because he was drunk,” Dorph said, referring to the classic Christmas movie.

“I was canceled because I said something in a completely independent setting.”

Kris Kringle replaces the intoxicated Santa in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and does such a good job that he’s hired as a store Santa. Unlike most department store Santas, he doesn’t shill for his employer. In his first day on the job at Macy’s, he sends a harried mother (Thelma Ritter) to Schoenfeld’s Department Store, which he says is the only place in town that has the toy her son wants. Kringle keeps a very close watch on the toy market, after all. She’s flabbergasted that a department store Santa would send her to a competitor, but she’s delighted, too, and Kringle’s helpfulness creates an enormous wave of good publicity for Macy’s.

The only problem is that Kris believes he really is Santa Claus, and tells everyone so. When the event director who hired him, single mother Doris Walker (Maureen O’Hara), finds out that he’s been filling the head of her six-year-old daughter, Susan (Natalie Wood), full of such nonsense, she’s upset, and pulls his employment card. It lists his address as Brooks’ Memorial Home for the Aged, 126 Maplewood Drive, Great Neck, Long Island, but his date of birth says “As old as my tongue and a little bit older than my teeth,” under “place” he has written “North Pole,” and his eight tiny reindeer are listed as his next of kin.

Watch your language, tone, aggressiveness: Starbucks New York union Protesters rally against Starbucks union-busting outside one of the global coffee chain’s locations in Great Neck, New York on August 15, 2022.

Watch that fucking tone, body language and aggressive use of the term GENOCIDE!

Craig Mokhiber: I have to say, it doesn’t surprise me. The U.S. has marched in lockstep with Israel throughout a whole series of attacks by Israel on Palestinian civilian populations for decades now. I’ve been saying in regard to the current situation, the U.S. is committing legal complicity as defined by the Genocide Convention. Complicity is a specific crime under the [1948 United Nations] Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide. In the past, when genocides were emerging, the sin of the U.S. was that it didn’t do anything to stop them.

The U.S. is committing legal complicity as defined by the Genocide Convention.

When the genocide was unfolding in Rwanda, the case I saw very closely in my previous job, the U.S. gave instructions to its diplomatic missions not to use the word genocide. They understood that if they used the word, they would be compelled by international law to take action to stop it. They didn’t want to.

In this case, it’s not just that they haven’t taken action to stop it. They have been actively participating in it. While these atrocities have been happening in real-time, the U.S. has been arming, financing, and providing intelligence support and diplomatic cover—even repeatedly providing the veto to stop a ceasefire so that Israel can continue to carry on these acts. That amounts to complicity under international law. And it explains why there is now legal action taken by the Center for Constitutional Rights to hold them accountable for this specific crime in the Genocide Convention.

Biden is doing what every Democrat and Republican has done going back decades. In this case, where Israel’s actions amount to genocide, it is particularly remarkable because, one, it is exposing U.S. government officials to legal action regarding genocide. Two, there’s no question that Biden is paying a very high political cost. He is getting ready next year for a competitive election, presumably against Donald Trump, where they were neck and neck. He has now lost significant support because he has lost votes as a result of what Americans view to be his unconditional support for Israel’s activities. He’s lost support from the progressive Jewish community, from Arab Americans, from Muslim Americans, from African Americans, from young people. All of them lined up against the Israeli onslaught. I can’t imagine that Biden’s people were not aware of these political costs.

But the degree of political capture of U.S. political institutions is so absolute now that they don’t even care what the American people think. Polls have shown that the vast majority of Americans—Republicans and Democrats—oppose this onslaught and want a ceasefire and a cutback on aid going into this process. If you look not just at the rhetoric of the members of Congress on both sides of the aisle and the State Department and the entire Executive Branch on the one hand, and the position of the American people on the other hand—before you even get into a moral position or a legal position which are all on the other side as well—you see just how wide the disconnect has grown between what the American people want—human decency, morality, human rights, international law—and the position of elected officials and the administration.

There are people who benefit from this—weapons manufacturers, technology companies, and Israel lobby groups who are all in, 100%—who are using all of the influence they have, pressure, carrots and sticks, to make sure that the U.S. remains completely aligned with Israel’s ethnic purge of the Gaza Strip.

Oh, watch that language and body movements:

On November 9, Israeli police arrested Jerusalem history and civics teacher Meir Baruchin after he posted a message on Facebook about his opposition to the killing of innocent Palestinian civilians. Police seized his phone and two laptops before interrogating him on suspicion of committing an act of treason and intending to disrupt public order. After being in jail for four days, Baruchin was freed but lost his job as a teacher and is still facing charges.

“These days Israeli citizens who are showing the slightest sentiment for the people of Gaza, opposing killing of innocent civilians, they are being politically persecuted, they go through public shaming, they lose their jobs, they are being put in jail,” says Baruchin, who says if he had been Palestinian, he would have faced more violence.

The Jewish Federations of North America raised more than $600 million for Israel within a month of the outbreak of war, according to the report by scholars at Haifa University’s Ruderman Program for American Jewish Studies published Wednesday.

The remaining $400 million figure is an estimation of donations raised in multiple campaigns by other communal and private organizations with a Jewish affiliation, including friendship associations supporting Israeli hospitals, universities and emergency services, David Barak-Gorodetsky, director of the Ruderman Program, told The Times of Israel Thursday.

Fat Jewish Fucks. While they starve Palestine:

Zero hunger is one of the United Nations’ sustainable development goals. It is supposed to be reached by 2030. And while the agenda is already at its halfway stage, the achievement of this objective still appears distant. Hunger and malnutrition are major problems in YemenSouth SudanSyria and other countries.

In Gaza, Palestinians are experiencing starvation orchestrated by Israel. This starvation is a tool of insidious killing, used in addition to 24/7 bombing. Mass starvation is among the oldest weapons of war. Israel is using it as an act of collective punishment.

This starvation is designed to break Gazans, to make them either kneel or starve.

These human stains are proud, man, of their ill-gained wealth: From the house of Hermès to Gulf royals, the wealth of global dynasties soared 43% in the last year.

Fucking dirty people, dirty wealth, polluting masses, these fuckers are vaunted by dirty Bloomberg, Mister Jewish Michael Bloomberg’s lying outfit, Bloomberg News, which is cited a million times.

Move over, Waltons. Another family has emerged as the richest dynasty in the world.

For the first time, the House of Nahyan has joined Bloomberg’s annual ranking of family fortunes, and done so at the very top.

With a $305 billion fortune, the Al Nahyans of Abu Dhabi topped the Waltons of Walmart Inc. by a cool $45 billion. Another new entrant: the Al Thanis, the royal family of Qatar, at No. 5.

The petro-fortunes are reshaping global business as never before. Their flexing of personal — as well as sovereign — financial firepower adds multibillion-dollar exclamation points to the region’s growing influence. All three Gulf families on the ranking are likely far richer than these conservative estimates.

As a group, the world’s richest families have gotten $1.5 trillion wealthier since the last ranking, and the new tallies from the Middle East weren’t the only noteworthy shifts. Among the biggest gainers was a different kind of royal house: the sixth-generation dynasty behind luxury brand Hermès, who added $56 billion to become the world’s third-richest by eschewing fads and cultivating loyalty.

TEXTBOOK genocide and those Jews in the U$A send over a billion, man, to the IOF:

International human rights lawyer Craig Mokhiber served as the director for the New York office of the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights, but resigned over the UN’s failure to stop what he, and others, calls a “textbook case of genocide” in Gaza. He describes the politicalization of the organization and the West’s refusal to follow international law.

“If you have a message coming from the United States and their western allies that says these rules do not apply to us or to our western friends, or in short-hand, they do not apply to white people, but they do apply to the rest of the world, that is maybe the last nail in the coffin of these international laws.”

“The security council belongs in a Cold War museum,” he says. “It is an entity that empowers five permanent members with a veto that is usually used to prevent any action to the benefit of normal human beings. The US in this case used its veto to prevent ceasefire, and after each veto, thousands of more Palestinians are being massacred in Gaza. It’s an act of complicity.”

So when Israel commits war crimes that are empowered by the US, it is no longer only their crime:

“Just to put it simply, this assault on Gaza is being perpetrated by Israel and the United States. The US is a party to this.”

And given that Biden has repeatedly claimed that he saw photos of beheaded babies (even after his staff urged him not to and the White House walked it back), we asked Craig:

Can the argument be made that Joe Biden is inciting genocide? His response: “Absolutely.”

War on nature, war on ecology, war on humanity! So, these fucking Titans, these metal, petrol, chemical, software, computer chip, satellite moguls, need to go to the docks. Federal regulators are discouraged from speaking up about potentially dangerous pesticides, according to a former agency official.

Karen McCormack, a retired Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) scientist who spent 40 years with the agency, told Al Jazeera’s investigative show Fault Lines that she believed the EPA was not fulfilling its mission to protect the public from harmful chemicals.

Tractor spraying pesticides over a green field

“In the last three decades that I have worked at EPA it has been very rare for a toxic pesticide to be taken off the market,” Karen told Fault Lines. “Just about every, every new pesticide application that is submitted to the agency is approved, no matter how high the risk.”

As the Al Jazeera report notes, paraquat is banned in 58 countries but its use is on the rise in the United States.

This is the insanity of the world, as we wring our hands about Israel shooting anything that moves [in the thousands] monthly, while these creeps expedite global death:

[Summer surface air temperatures in the Arctic were the highest since at least 1900 as the Arctic continues to warm twice as fast as the rest of the globe because of human-caused climate change, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) 2023 Arctic Report Card.]

Climate change thaws world's northernmost research station

The report found that “irreversible climate harms caused by an overheating Arctic will continue to reverberate across North America and Eurasia,” said Brenda Ekwurzel, the director of climate science at the Union of Concerned Scientists, who has conducted climate research in the Arctic but did not contribute to the report.

The report also detailed “unequivocal evidence of Arctic greening” as warmer temperatures, increased precipitation and melting permafrost result in shrubs and trees taking over grassland and tundra.

Higher greening was seen this year in the North American tundra with relatively low greening in the Eurasian Arctic, it said. So-called “peak tundra greenness” in the Arctic hit the third-highest level in 24 years of study.

Greening could speed climate change by releasing large amounts of carbon dioxide that had been stored in the permafrost.

Switching back to the Genocidal Tech Companies!

Some fucked up times: More than 400 protesters gathered at Google’s San Francisco office on Thursday to demand the tech company cut ties with Israel’s government.

Then you have this fucking fecal matter:

Becoming known as a president who’s afraid to play hardball with allies has its costs. The frequency and directness with which Israeli officials convey to the world that they don’t care about Biden’s opinion is getting embarrassing. This week, for example:

(1) Israel’s ambassador to the UK ruled out the possibility of a Palestinian state—even though Biden has insisted that a path to such a state must be part of the war’s aftermath.

(2) Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant said that the war “will last more than several months”—even though, only a week earlier, Politico, citing multiple Israeli officials, reported that the administration had told Israel it had to “wrap up its war on Hamas” by the end of the year. That’s two weeks from now.

What’s more: In an impressive power move, Gallant said this while standing next to National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, who had traveled to Jerusalem to confer with Israeli officials in hopes of convincing them to, among other things, quit saying things like this. After this awkward spectacle, in an apparent attempt to salvage some pride, the Biden administration leaked that Sullivan had been firmer with Gallant and other Israeli officials in private than in public; he had told them that the war needs to “transition to the next lower intensity phase in a matter of weeks, not months.”

How many weeks? How much lower the intensity? The goalposts, as they recede, are getting blurrier.

Speaking of the war profiteers! “Life is great for Boeing CEO David Calhoun, who was paid a salary of $22.5 million in 2023 and received a bonus of $15 million in extra Boeing stock shares.

But Calhoun is now a defendant in a tribunal run by Brad Wolf a former prosecutor from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and other peace activists who have charged him and the CEOs of top defense contractors with war crimes for producing weapons that have been used to kill civilians in illegal wars undertaken in violation of the Geneva Convention and UN Charter.” (source)

AGAIN, bats to the head, Molotovs thrown into their bedrooms.

These criminals DO NOT CARE! Take a look at the COP28 round-up here: The COP28 Elite Dine and Dash

It’s as if there is no genocide of Palestinians in the world at this fucked up climate change bullshit show!

Bombs? Thirteen thousand tank rounds Dirty Jewish Assasine Blinken got behind the backs of Congress (just another $200 million to the rabbi infested Israel).

Green War!

“Under the airy sprawl of the futuristic Al Wasl dome, and through the scented halls of stately majlises, simpering British royalty chummed it up with consortium magnates and a host of aspirants from ‘developing nations,’ who sought merely to raise their own standing by virtue signaling their appearance at the high profile event. In essence, it had more the savor of a star-studded gala on the Riviera, full of champagne smiles and mingling laughter, than the somber tone one would expect from a summit covering such putatively ‘pressing’ matters as the extinction of the planet.

Meanwhile, Putin—deliberately or not—‘trolled’ the Dubai-hosted event by landing just a few miles down the seaside in Abu Dhabi, for the express purpose of inking new oil deals with the actual head of UAE, Sheik Nahyan.” (source)

Heroes — Five days after the Palestinian journalist Wael Al-Dahdouh found out during a live Al Jazeera broadcast that his wife, son, daughter, and grandson had been killed by an Israeli airstrike on the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, a music distributor based in Jordan dropped a song that samples Al-Dahdouh’s now-famous response to the tragedy: “Maalish.”

The colloquial term means something akin to “There’s nothing to it,” or “That’s OK.” The implication of Al-Dahdouh’s use of the word in that context resonated with Palestinian society and spread across the Arab world. Its swift adaptation into a viral anthem is not evidence of a populace succumbing to despondency, or hardening its heart to loss, but rather perseverance through profound tragedy and grief. In no way is it OK. But it is a cost Palestinian journalists have paid at a staggeringly high price these last two months for the twin perils of being Palestinian and covering the war. And for those who have dedicated their lives to uncovering and sharing the stories of people who have suffered a 16-year blockade and have seen their Western and Palestinian colleagues killed, maimed, and imprisoned by the Israeli military and censored by its tech alliesmaalish is a stoic statement of resignation, of fatalism.

Genocide, and kill the media.

In between the fundraisers and private events, Biden also made a surprise visit to Norman Lear’s home, where his widow, Lyn, was having a sitting shiva for her late husband, who died last week at age 101.

Katzenberg said that on Saturday, after the president had attended a private event at his home, Biden said that he had heard there would be a shiva for Lear and asked if it would be OK to go. Biden said that he would really like to go pay his respects.

“I said, ‘I am sure they would be thrilled to have you drop by,’” Katzenberg said. “He really admired Norman so much.”

More than $15 million was raised through the weekend, including for the Biden Victory Fund, said campaign co-chair Jeffrey Katzenberg, founding partner of WndrCo. That is the most raised for a single visit to Los Angeles of any president or presidential candidate, he said.

It also surpassed the amount raised by Barack Obama in May, 2012, when Obama headlined a fundraiser at the home of George Clooney and co-hosted by Katzenberg. That fundraising trip brought in almost $15 million.

nothing to lose — mother fucker Jews in Israel Have Set the fucking world on fire, but fuck them all and the horse they rode into town on!

Fast Car — Does it hard, man, and forget that rabbi-dude Springstein, man, lets. do Tracy Chapman. I gut my teeth on the jazz artists, the long hairs, the blue boys and some girls, and the rockers.

Lots of music at the U of Arizona, where a shit load of musicians showed up, and I had a back seat and front seat to the celebrity shit load. Smoked a blunt wth Tom Waitts, and then later as a faculty lines with Willie Nelson and Stevie Ray Vaugh.

Dig it, Tracy Chapman a la Luke Combs: This is what America A-Okay — Lesbian Black Woman Getting Redneck Luke Covering for ‘Fast Car.’ My fucking anthem.

Tracy Chapman – Fast Car (Live)

You got a fast car
And I want a ticket to anywhere
Maybe we make a deal
Maybe together we can get somewhere

Any place is better
Starting from zero, got nothing to lose
Maybe we’ll make something
Me, myself, I got nothing to prove

You got a fast car
I got a plan to get us out of here
I’ve been working at the convenience store
Managed to save just a little bit of money

Won’t have to drive too far
Just across the border and into the city
You and I can both get jobs
Finally, see what it means to be living

See, my old man’s got a problem
He live with the bottle, that’s the way it is
He says his body’s too old for working
His body’s too young to look like his

Mama went off and left him
She wanted more from life than he could give
I said, “Somebody’s got to take care of him”
So, I quit school and that’s what I did

You got a fast car
Is it fast enough so we can fly away?
Still gotta make a decision
Leave tonight, or live and die this way

So, I remember when we were driving, driving in your car
Speed so fast, I felt like I was drunk
City lights lay out before us
And your arm felt nice wrapped around my shoulder
And I, I, I had a feeling that I belonged
I, I, I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone

You got a fast car
We go cruising, entertain ourselves
You still ain’t got a job
So I work in a market as a checkout girl

I know things will get better
You’ll find work and I’ll get promoted
We’ll move out of the shelter
Buy a bigger house, live in the suburbs

So, I remember when we were driving, driving in your car
Speed so fast, I felt like I was drunk
City lights lay out before us
And your arm felt nice wrapped around my shoulder
And I, I, I had a feeling that I belonged
I, I, I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone

You got a fast car
I got a job that pays all our bills
You stay out drinking late at the bar
See more of your friends than you do of your kids

I’d always hoped for better
Thought maybe together you and me would find it
I got no plans, I ain’t going nowhere
Take your fast car and keep on driving

So, I remember when we were driving, driving in your car
Speed so fast, I felt like I was drunk
City lights lay out before us
And your arm felt nice wrapped around my shoulder
And I, I, I had a feeling that I belonged
I, I, I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone

Motherfuckers, we are now shackled by the lizard freaks, the transhumanists. the COP 28 Fascists, the Israeli Murderers, the EU-TrashLandians, and NATO-stanistans!!

Crips and Bloods in fucking Suits.

Lyrics — Talking about a revolution —- fuck Israel and Biden and Trump and Harris and Hillary and Sam Walton and Musk — viral petri dish specimens.

Talking about a Revolution!!

Don’t you know
They’re talking about a revolution?
It sounds like a whisper
Don’t you know
Talking about a revolution?
It sounds like a whisper

While they’re standing in the welfare lines
Crying at the doorsteps of those armies of salvation
Wasting time in the unemployment lines
Sitting around waiting for a promotion

Don’t you know
Talking about a revolution?
It sounds like a whisper

Poor people gonna rise up
And get their share
Poor people gonna rise up
And take what’s theirs

Don’t you know you better run, run, run, run, run, run
Run, run, run, run, run, run
Oh, I said you better run, run, run, run, run, run
Run, run, run, run, run, run

‘Cause finally the tables are starting to turn
Talkin’ ’bout a revolution
‘Cause finally the tables are starting to turn
Talkin’ ’bout a revolution, oh no
Talkin’ ’bout a revolution, oh

I’ve been standing in the welfare lines
Crying at the doorsteps of those armies of salvation
Wasting time in the unemployment lines
Sitting around waiting for a promotion

Don’t you know
Talking about a revolution?
It sounds like a whisper

And finally the tables are starting to turn
Talkin’ ’bout a revolution
Yes, finally the tables are starting to turn
Talkin’ ’bout a revolution, oh, no
Talkin’ ’bout a revolution, oh, no
Talkin’ ’bout a revolution, oh, no

Whitey on the Moon:

If you do not want these fucker DOA, and if you do not WANT their Eichmanns at the bottom of the Jimmy Hoffa Sea, your are lobotomized.

In writing about the 2021 documentary of the “Summer of Soul” music festival of 1969, which coincided with the Moon landing, a film critic in July 2021 noted how Black sentiments about the seeming wastefulness of the Moon trip then represents an “extraordinarily topical sequence now, with billionaires funding rockets to fly into space, while memes fly around social media quoting Gil Scott-Heron’s bitter song ‘Whitey on the Moon.’”

Another writer – in discussing the Branson and Bezos space trips – described “Whitey on the Moon” as “a nod to the privileges enjoyed by non-Black people that allowed them to pursue their prideful pet projects that did not necessarily make the world a better place for most Americans.”

I suspect these writers sense – as I do – that we are living in the same dystopian present. It is a time in which the “whitey” in Scott-Heron’s poem could be any of the three billionaires who are the faces of the current space race, which is taking place in an era of profound inequity that helped them become billionaires in the first place.

There are tons of examples of earthly “Sister Nells” who have been and are currently being bitten by rats on Earth while rich white men are taking tourism to the heavenly skies.

I believe that people, more or less, feel that the song points out the kind of inequity that lies at the heart of the ability to amass exorbitant wealth that affords the likes of Branson, Bezos and Musk the privilege to be the first space tourists. (source)

That matters not, it’s an act of God

Can I tag along, now that you’re in outer space? (Outer space)

Now that you’re in outer space

[Verse 1]

Ayy, can I please breathe, three feet, no pressure

Ayy, soon I’ll hit stratosphere and that’ll lower the pressure

We diggin’ for a happy that is deeper than depressions

From eagles in the deserts, assaults with a deadly weapon

But we leave it all behind with our other worldly possessions

No rocket ship to rally bеhind, so we reinvestеd

My time spent in buying shit that doesn’t even mesh with me

I’m see through, but insecurities need they confessions

I needed space, once I seen the world, I got demons to purge

I wanna be the girls of my dreams’ same dream to my girl

We were shorties, and all it took was a wink and a curl

To fall in love we didn’t even need to speak or be worried

Or sneak in a hurry to keep she from hurtin’

Like sheep that were herdin’, I hope we moved on

So hopefully when you thirty you move differently

The cool kid in me is a new temperature

New wave like the moon shifted me, now enters the-

[Verse 2]

Black astronaut, in the class is shy

So, when the teacher roll call, ya name forgot

Had words by the few, never had a lot

But you knew that your mind wasn’t the average

Like abra-cadabra, we made all of our doubt disappear

We used to be invisible, that was a different year

It appeared different peers tried to kill me with ideas

That whatever I would do was far from cool or fittin’ in

Loneliness struck with a slight chance of rain

Black astronaut, they don’t like you in space

Bright blue the day, find my terrain

Dare I to say, I’m on my way

Fuck these thieves. Why the fuck haven’t YOU just sent in the clowns, the Molotovs Men and Women?

Lupe Fiasco

When the supremely talented and socially aware Lupe Fiasco releases his sixth LP, Drogas Light, tomorrow, much attention will be paid to the subtext and themes of his rhymes by those looking for hints of anti-semitic rhetoric.

In mid-December, the rapper shared a single called “N.E.R.D.,” which lit up the music community for this particularly eyebrow-raising line:

“Artists getting robbed for their publishing/By dirty Jewish execs who think that it’s alms from the covenant.”

The Music Moguls Who Bled Millions from a Black Legend
by Reclamation Project

Chuck Berry publicity still from 1957

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, himself a master musician and playwright, spoke harshly of this underworld that our entertainers must traverse if they wish to gain the fame and fortune they worked so hard to achieve. Here, The Minister serves up a word of warning:

“I think we have made a grave mistake; we have been deceived into thinking that the Jews have been our allies in our recent civil rights struggle…Yes, he poses as your friend. He’s with you as an agent, he’s with you as a manager, he’s with you as an investor, he’s with you as a guide in economic development, but he has never asked you to do what he has done. He networks with other rich, influential Jews and he buys, he invests, he’s in trade and commerce.”

Though the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has showcased The Minister’s words as though they are manifestly untrue and “anti-Semitic,” Chuck Berry is the veritable poster boy for the reality that The Minister describes.

Chuck Berry Maybellene 45 record label

Can Farrakhan be more exact? Let’s look at his words again, as recorded by the ADL:

“I’m here to tell you no Black man or woman becomes a multi-millionaire without friendship in the Jewish community. Did you know that nearly all prominent Negro actors and musicians have or had Jewish sponsors and managers? They have a way of attaching themselves to your gifts, but you get nothing. They get it all.”

If anything, Chuck Berry was a fast learner. He was ultimately able to free himself from the clutches of those Jews he referred to as “swindlers.” At his recent passing Berry’s estate is said to be worth $50 million, and that includes publishing rights to most of his 200 songs, and royalties that could amount to $500,000 per year. He also invested in real estate all over the country. The irony is that his music made a talentless gaggle of schemers much, much more. The Chess brothers contributed to Jewish institutions and causes, which gladly turned a blind eye to the Chess brothers’ “fundraising” methods. In his thoughtful and analytical 1987 autobiography, Chuck Berry went back to his St. Louis church roots in discussing the Chess brothers’ pillaging of his wealth and his talent: “Woe be unto him whose wrongs are revealed.”

Yep:

“Basically, you’re not allowed to do anything unless one of them is with you. It’s been like that for time. It’s systemic. It needs to change. We all need to come together instead of throwing ourselves to them. They chew you up and spit you back out again.”

Prompted to apologise again, he said: “I am not on the fence… I’m right. I’m right. The Jewish community do own a lot of s*** on this planet, and they do, with other societies, run the Earth. They own everything… I’m not antisemitic if I say the Jewish community’s very powerful, they own this, they own that – I’m not wrong. I’m not wrong.”
