“A system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with belligerent nationalism.”
Fascism originated in Italy, and Mussolini claims to have invented the word itself. It was actually his ghostwriter, Giovanni Gentile, who invented it and defined it in the Encyclopedia Italiana in this way: “Fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.” (sources)
My customers have become my family over the years. Same with my co-workers. I’ve seen their families grow up and create new families, their kids go off to college and get good jobs. I’m so afraid for my friends, my coworkers and my customers, because if this merger goes through, it will be devastating for both workers and customers, but Kroger and Albertsons executives just don’t care.”

Countries Are Building Economic Empires by Controlling the World’s Water Supply
After the announcement, a coalition of more than 100 organizations, representing workers, farmers, ranchers and independent businesses, launched a campaign to stop the merger. The coalition members have also raised questions about the proposed C&S divestitures. The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) also publicly opposes the transaction. On November 14th at 2:00 PM ET, join the American Economic Liberties Project and a coalition of UFCW locals for a discussion of why the Federal Trade Commission must learn from past mistakes and block this harmful merger. The discussion will feature remarks from workers, independent grocers, farmers, and consumers that the proposed merger would directly impact.

Echoing world leaders and their outlook towards the shift in technology, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that data is the real wealth.
Speaking at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in the Swiss mountain resort of Davos, PM Modi said,
“Today, data is a real wealth and it is being said that whoever acquires and controls the data will have hegemony in the future. The global flow of data is creating big opportunities as well as challenges.”

The 5G danger can’t be overstated.
5G (5th Generation) is now being actively rolled out in many cities around the world. Simultaneously, as awareness over its horrific health and privacy impacts is rising, many places are issuing moratoriums on it or banning it, such as the entire nation of Belgium, the canton of Vaud (Switzerland) and San Francisco (USA). Radiofrequency radiation (RF or RFR) and electromagnetic fields (EMF) are being increasingly recognized as new types of pollution – environmental pollution. Here are 13 reasons exposing the 5G danger, which could turn into an unmitigated health and privacy catastrophe if enough people don’t rise up to stop it.By Makia Freeman

Depopulation: The New York Times Predicts Massive Population Reduction, see this. “Fewer babies’ cries. More abandoned homes. Toward the middle of this century, as deaths start to exceed births, changes will come that are hard to fathom.”
Is it all true? It remains to be verified. Omission?
At no time does the article mention the eugenist nature of deliberate population reduction, in connection with the covid plandemic, the coerced and by many accounts poisonous – vaccination campaign, with a non-vaccine, but instead a novel, totally untested mRNA-type “gene therapy” which the US CDC has allowed to be applied as an “emergency measure” in these dire circumstances of a pandemic, that actually lacks all characteristics of a pandemic, but has to be pumped up to make it appear as a pandemic – with literally almost all deaths appearing from whatever causes – even car accidents – can be – and “must” be categorized as covid deaths. “As the world watches in horror Israel’s military assault on the people of Gaza, people are left to wonder why world leaders are not doing more to censure Israel and are allowing Israel to get away with mass killing.
Jeff Halper, an American-Israeli anthropologist who has written numerous books on Israeli history, has a clear answer.
He says that leaders of countries around the world are feeling more insecure as wealth is increasingly concentrated in the hands of a tiny capitalist elite and popular disaffection and the threat of rebellion grows.

Israel is revered precisely for its mastery of population-control techniques against the Palestinians, which many leaders want to emulate against dissident or minority groups within their own borders.
Part of Israel’s ace in the hole, according to Halper, is its development of a formidable weapons industry that allows it to supply high-tech weapons to countries around the world for the purpose of population control.
Israel is at the cutting edge in the development of surveillance satellites, weaponized and surveillance drones, Artificial Intelligence (AI) target identification systems, spyware gadgets and crowd control and cyberwarfare technologies, which it sells around the world.” — By Jeremy Kuzmarov

Transhumanism is an international movement that states that adding technological implants and inserting DNA will improve the human being. However, the transhumanists hide two subjects: the use of technological implants as a weapon against the citizen and the method they are developing their dangerous projects with, which is suspected to be illicit human experiments in the world. Technological implants like brain nanobots might cause losing mind control and thus, the carriers can be controlled by others and lose their autonomy, they can be spied permanently with the cerebral internet and can lose their privacy their memory can be deleted and can loose their identity. Thus, the humans who carry technological implants can be permanently spied on, mentally controlled and they lose their identity, becoming a human slave at the service of the transnational companies and the economic powers. An objective analysis reveals that transhumanism is only an intellectual swindle that leads to digital fascism, a society where a millionaire elite will govern citizens with technological implants, who will be digital slaves at the service of an oligarchy.
….ahh, science, that science, whose very existence is almost like Mozart’s existence based on monied interested, lords, earls, barons, baronnesses, kings and queens and viscount & ladies in waiting
The earth and animal and ecosystems “sciences” are absolutely going into the crapper.
When Species Names Are Offensive, Should They Be Changed? — Amid a wider social justice reckoning, some scientists are calling for scrapping species names that honor people considered objectionable, including dictators and enslavers, or use offensive words. Others question whether such a monumental effort is worthwhile or even possible.
Taylor Swift, Prince Charles, Donald Trump. Here, my quick quip:
Funny stuff, your “comment policy” — Comments are reviewed to ensure they are on topic, do not contain profanity, and are not abusive.
Ahh, the little things in “the sciences” while STEM is an avalanche of Oppenheimers who assist in creating all those industries and technologies and engineering feats that allow for a world of war, for the Military Industrial Complex at least in this country to realize the riches of the world, 2023 as a banner year; 2024 a triple banner year.
Where oh where are the earth scientists, the biologists, the others, at least speaking out about dual use of the goods and services the US taxpayer foots the bill for?
So, no, I’m not off topic or abusive or profane. Get articles going on how the Faustian Bargains and Little Eichmann Syndrome inherent in the so-called “sciences,” i.e. Dual Use S.T.E.M., truly drills down in the brains of brainiacs.
You know, ethics v. careerism, Precautionary Principle, First Do No Harm, deep analysis of embodied energy v. just what is “green” washing or “green” fascism? Money v. science.
Think of the United States of Amnesia, err America. It’s named after who? A map maker under the control of racist, violent Iberian Peninsula? Are we going to change that name, like so many African nations changed their names as a way to symbolically wash away the empire breeders who controlled that continent, from Belgium to Germany to Netherlands to Spain to France to Italy to UK?
Nah.
Oh, the chickens have always come back to roost, no, with the white man’s burdens, so this sort of story on species renaming is just that — another writer finding something to write about. But reality is, that every grant, every college or university, every think tank, every NGO and non-profit that makes money off of, shoot, war, war making, even the cool optics and drone machines of war, well well, how do we square that in the sciences?
I doubt this comment will be posted on Yale E 360.

Cheers,
Here, amazing, this fucking Ukrainian telling (cited in the Yale Enviornment 360 article) the world that renaming would be bad, this from a Nazi Country that has destroyed literary and artistic and historical monuments, and jailing those for fucking speaking Russian:
Various groups of researchers have proposed ways to remedy this situation. Some are modest tweaks to the codes governing how scientists apply names to creatures. Others are sweeping; one recent proposal would require scientists to rename, by one estimate, more than 200,000 species named after people. And as with efforts to tear down statues, replace ill-considered sports team names, and otherwise root out societal racism and sexism, these proposals have met with fierce resistance. Some scientists protest on philosophical grounds, arguing that it is better to leave the mistakes of the past in place so that modern and future people might learn from them. Others point to the proposals’ practical implications, noting that in an era of rapid climate change, habitat destruction, and globalization, taxonomy — the science of categorizing, discovering, and describing the world’s living things — has increasingly become a race against time.
Diverting resources towards wholesale renaming of already-named species would be “just a catastrophe,” says Sergei Mosyakin, a botanist and director of the M. G. Kholodny Institute of Botany in Kyiv, Ukraine. “It would be a problem for everything.”
[Photo: The plant genus Hibbertia is named for British slave owner George Hibbert, who was a leading opponent of abolition. ]
Some skeptics questioned whether the proposed nomenclatural changes would even achieve their stated goals of making biological taxonomy more accessible, equitable, and inoffensive. Rohan Pethiyagoda, a Sri Lankan taxonomist specializing in amphibians and freshwater fish, said the various proposals — most of them offered by white, English-speaking people of European heritage — were merely a way to signal their virtue. In practice, he said, any widespread renaming of organisms would place further burdens on already strained and underfunded taxonomists working in poor yet biodiverse nations of the global tropics, which scientists believe to hold millions of undescribed species, many of them threatened by rapid climate change and habitat destruction.
“We now have to take our attention away from describing species, conserving species and landscapes and ecosystems, and start looking at the origins of words,” Pethiyagoda says. “This is really ludicrous.”
Military science serves to identify the strategic, political, economic, psychological, social, operational, technological, and tactical elements necessary to sustain relative advantage of military force; and to increase the likelihood and favorable outcomes of victory in peace or during a war.
Money for bullets, guns, lasers, missiles, bioweapons, hearts and minds, spying on US/THEM. The term “defence” is Edward Bernays/George Orwellian bullshit. Read — OFFENSIVE and MURDEROUS and ANTI-HUMAN weapons.
US Army source — In February, South Korea opened a centre at its premier research facility, the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in Daejeon, in collaboration with the country’s leading arms manufacturer, Hanwha Systems. Media reports said that the centre, known as the Research Centre for the Convergence of National Defence and Artificial Intelligence, would develop technologies that could be useful for more-advanced weapons, such as missiles that use artificial intelligence (AI) to control their speed and altitude and detect enemy radar in real time.
There was an immediate backlash. Almost 60 AI and robotics researchers from around the world signed an open letter opposing KAIST’s participation in an autonomous-weapons race. They threatened to cut all ties with KAIST. But this episode had a happy ending: KAIST’s president vowed that the centre wouldn’t develop lethal weapons. The boycott was abandoned. This week, the letter’s author accepted an invitation to visit KAIST.
But similar fault lines have been exposed elsewhere. Australian scientists continue to debate the government’s 2014 defence–science partnerships programme, which has so far enrolled researchers from 32 universities. And a 2016 decision by the European Commission to start funding defence research prompted 400 researchers to sign a petition attacking the move.
In Japan, universities are split over whether they should take funds from the defence ministry’s Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Agency. Last year, the advisory board to the nation’s cabinet — the Science Council of Japan — called for researchers to boycott the work, and for institutions to set up special committees to evaluate the ethics and propriety of military-related research projects. According to survey results released by the council earlier this month, 46 of the 135 universities polled have such a system in place. But 30 institutions have already allowed researchers to apply, and 41 have no intention of creating such a system. And according to the results of a poll at the Astronomical Society of Japan’s meeting last March, some young astronomers would accept such funding if it falls within Japan’s policy of maintaining self defence. However, other members of the society oppose it, and the society itself has not taken a position.
In the United States, university-based military research has long been a fixture, but the push in less-militarized countries points to rising geopolitical uncertainty and instability around the world. Trying to improve defence capabilities in such circumstances is understandable — the issue is where and how it should be done.
The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM), on behalf of the Army, is committed to growing the next generation of scientists and engineers to deliver the decisive overmatch the nation needs to win in a complex world. Conservation biology is an applied science that focuses on protecting the Earth’s biodiversity and maintaining natural ecosystems. Scientists who work in this field, such as conservation ecologists, are dedicated to analyzing and reducing the human impact on every aspect of our environment. According to the Society for Conservation Biology, the preservation of biodiversity is dependent on three questions:
How is the diversity of life distributed around the planet?
What threats does this diversity face?
What can people do to reduce or eliminate these threats and, where possible, restore biological diversity and ecosystem health?

Humanities courses such as languages, history, arts and literature are particularly vulnerable nationwide. Schools are more inclined to emphasize business, science, math and technology studies, which could lead to more high-paying jobs.
Students also appear to be turning away from the humanities: Data from the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics shows that the percentage of bachelor’s degrees conferred by four-year institutions in the humanities dropped from 16.8% of all degrees in the 2010-11 school year to 12.8% in 2020-2021. Air Force Awards UTEP Grant to Safeguard Assets in Space
“The United States is dependent economically and militarily on space assets,” said Miguel Velez-Reyes, Ph.D., chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at The University of Texas at El Paso. “For instance, orbiting satellites provide a multitude of services, which are critical for economic wealth, defense and security.”
Ground-based telescopes, however, cannot currently obtain clear images of space objects that are distant or small. Known as Unresolved Resident Space Objects (URSO), their characteristics, such as shape, dimensions, spin rate and material composition, cannot be easily extracted from telescope images.
Thanks to a new five-year, $5 million grant from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) Space University Research Initiative (SURI), UTEP is leading a new research effort that hopes to bring these objects to light.
Velez-Reyes, the grant’s principal investigator, will spearhead a team that includes UTEP Associate Professor of Practice Hector Erives, Ph.D., and Research Assistant Professor Aryzbe Najera, Ph.D., as well as collaborators from outside the University.

For decades, independent researchers have claimed that actual US military spending is about twice as much as officially recognized. In 2022, actual US military spending reached $1.537 trillion, doubling the publicly reported $877 billion. These data are reported from figures from the United States Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
But they face a trap because they suffer from two important deficiencies. First, the figures provided by the OMB regarding “defense spending” are substantially lower than those provided in the United States National Income and Product Accounts (NIPA), the most complete and definitive source on income and the country’s national spending to the point that it is the total basis of analysis of the American economy.
Second, as is well known, key areas of US military spending are included in other parts of federal spending and do not fall under the OMB’s “defense spending” category. To that amount we would have to add federal space expenses, and the real total of subsidies to foreign countries. Military health insurance (which consists of payments for medical services for dependents of military personnel on active duty at non-military installations) should also be considered.
According to a study for Monthly magazine Review by Gisela Cernadas, economist at the National University of La Plata in Argentina and John Bellamy Foster, professor emeritus of sociology at the University of Oregon in the United States, these figures should also include benefits, life insurance and other costs for veterans, military health insurance, military parts of space expenses, grants in aid to other governments and the proportion of net interest attributed to actual federal military expenditures. The eighth largest saline lake in the world is a Utah icon. More than 10 million birds take sanctuary there every year.
And sometimes, the Great Salt Lake smells like rotten eggs.
That distinct tang is caused by hydrogen sulfide, a colorless gas that can be harmful in high concentrations. When concentrations are excessive, it “could kill you or (H2S) can cause nausea and headaches, or more commonly, it’s just a nuisance,” said Wayne Wurtsbaugh, a retired science professor at Utah State University who studied the gas.
The Great Salt Lake isn’t the only saline lake that produces hydrogen sulfide, there’s also the decaying Salton Sea, California’s largest lake.
“It used to be that people say, ‘Oh, it smells like dead fish,’ but now there’s no more fish in the Salton Sea. So you can’t say it smells like fish, it smells like hydrogen sulfide,” said Ryan Sinclair, an environmental microbiologist at Loma Linda University.
WHO: Peter D. Ward (Earth and Space Sciences, College of the Environment, University of Washington, WA)
WHAT: Under a Green Sky: Global Warming the Mass Extinctions of the Past and What They Can Tell Us About Our Future
WHEN: Published 2007
Peter Ward has an evocative style of writing that was able to transport me to the various digs and periods of ancient history that he studies, was one of the reasons I wanted to write about this book. Additionally, he paints a vivid picture of what our future could be like with catastrophic climate change.
Ward is an expert in mass extinctions. He has spent much of his career looking at Ammonite fossils to see where in the fossil record mass extinctions occurred and why. Through his studies, he’s discovered that many mass extinctions were greenhouse extinctions.
So what does greenhouse extinction look like? It looks like this:
The water’s purple because there is no longer any oxygen in the water in this lake near Kamloops BC. The bacteria in this lake ‘eat’ hydrogen sulphide, which smells like rotten eggs and allows the bacteria to take over when there is no oxygen in the water. No animals can live in this water – we need oxygen to survive.
Ward puts it best in this description of what the earth would have looked like at the end of the Triassic period—
‘No wind in the 120-degree morning heat, and no trees for shade. There is some vegetation, but it is low, stunted, parched. Of other life, there seems little. A scorpion, a spider, winged flies, and among the roots of the desert vegetation we see the burrows of some sort of small animals – the first mammals, perhaps. The largest creatures anywhere in the landscape are slim, bipedal dinosaurs, of a man’s height at most, but they are almost vanishingly rare, and scrawny, obviously starving. The land is a desert in its heat and aridity, but a duneless desert, for there is no wind to build the iconic structure of our Sarahas and Kalaharis. The land is hot barrenness.
Yet as sepulchral as the land is, it is the sea itself that is most frightening. Waves slowly lap on the quiet shore, slow-motion waves with the consistency of gelatine. Most of the shoreline is encrusted with rotting organic matter, silk-like swaths of bacterial slick now putrefying under the blazing sun, while in the nearby shallows mounds of similar mats can be seen growing up toward the sea’s surface; they are stromatolites. When animals finally appeared, the stromatolites largely disappeared, eaten out of existence by the new, multiplying, and mobile herbivores. But now these bacterial mats are back, outgrowing the few animal mouths that might still graze on them.
Finally we look out on the surface of the great sea itself, and as far as the eye can see there is a mirrored flatness, an ocean without whitecaps. Yet that is not the biggest surprise. From shore to the horizon, there is but an unending purple color – a vast, flat, oily purple, not looking at all like water, not looking anything of our world. No fish break its surface, no birds or any other kind of flying creatures dip down looking for food. The purple colour comes from vast concentrations of floating bacteria, for the oceans of Earth have all become covered with a hundred-foot-thick [30m] veneer of purple and green bacterial soup.
At last there is motion on the sea, yet it is not life, but anti-life. Not far from the fetid shore, a large bubble of gas belches from the viscous, oil slick-like surface, and then several more of varying sizes bubble up and noisily pop. The gas emanating from the bubbles is not air, or even methane, the gas that bubbles up from the bottom of swamps – it is hydrogen sulphide, produced by green sulphur bacteria growing amid their purple cousins. There is one final surprise. We look upward, to the sky. High, vastly high overhead there are thin clouds, clouds existing at an altitude far in excess of the highest clouds found on our Earth. They exist in a place that changes the very colour of the sky itself: We are under a pale green sky, and it has the smell of death and poison. We have gone to the Nevada of 200 million years ago only to arrive under the transparent atmospheric glass of a greenhouse extinction event, and it is poison, heat, and mass extinction that are found in this greenhouse.’
Read his stuff. Really. Climate change confusion, chaotic climate heating denial, all of that, way way off the fucking mark.
CATASTROPHISM
Starting in the 1700’s, scientists, especially geologists, described the world a gradual continuum, where “the present is the key to the past”. The opposite theory, called catastrophism, was left for fringe writers like Immanuel Velikovksy.
Peter’s newest book re-writes the history of life on Earth, not from the viewpoint of gradual evolution, but from the many catastrophes that have occurred on this planet. That’s not just the impact of asteroids hitting, but gigantic and long-lasting eruption of volcanoes, the almost frozen times known as “snowball Earth”, and of course the many periods of serious global heating.
This new book also originates from Ward’s important earlier book the “Medea Hypothesis”. That is an answer to James Lovelock’s and the Gaia hypothesis. Instead of life arranging the best circumstances for its continued survival, Ward finds in the geologic record that life forms have often been suicidal, destroying the conditions required for survival. Does that sound familiar?
The new book is: “A New History of Life: The Radical New Discoveries about the Origins and Evolution of Life on Earth” by Peter Ward and Joe Kirschvink.
If life bumbles along through long periods between catastrophes, often of it’s own making, where do you think we are now? Are we on the edge of the next mass extinction, or could that be thousands of years from now?

Welfare mother fucking cheat: In a letter to shareholders in November, Palantir CEO Alex Karp lamented that the US firm was “one of a few companies in the world to stand up and announce our support for Israel, which remains steadfast.”
In early December, Karp publicly criticized corporate America for staying silent and not standing up for Israel in the aftermath of the October 7 atrocities.
Last year, Palantir secured multi-million dollar government contracts, including with the US Army to bring artificial intelligence and machine learning into battlefield applications and with the UK’s state-run National Health Service (NHS) to develop software for a patient data-sharing platform.
US data-analysis software giant Palantir Technologies announced on Tuesday that it will hold its first board meeting of the new year in Tel Aviv to show solidarity with Israel, as the country is nearly three months into a war with the Hamas terror group.
“We stand with Israel,” Palantir said in posts on X and LinkedIn. “The board of directors of Palantir will be gathering in Tel Aviv next week for its first meeting of the new year. Our work in the region has never been more vital. And it will continue.”

Bilious like an animal and big, big, bigger than man, the sum of beast and God in just one, just one cataclysm, the times, the peoples, the tombs; complete extension of material, he has one hundred volcanoes in his finite mouth and he talks, he talks like the earth would talk, if it were to speak: to earthquakes; he is the earth, the entire earth clotted with gloomy meat; moral philosophy comes to lick his tremendous hands when he tells it to: tsk!.. tsk!.. tsk!.. such that he’s the owner of honest and sincere dogs, sincere and honest … and Roosevelt’s global boot honours his bones — today, the maggots eat his tongue — .

Woodrow Wilson
Situated in the stupendous, stupendous mercantile rostrum of Washington, prevailing over the vague hills of the Right of yesterday and its intercontinental platforms, looking towards no, no, no where, Woodrow Wilson reads the Bible to the moderns.
*
And his sad lies sound like the anachronistic music of the suburbs, rustic, autumnal, dominical, and the rainy voice of the dead in the tragic tragedies of the era.
*
Murmurs of crowds and laurels, laurels and crowds he overwhelms the fluttering happiness of the cordial, nuptial white doves; and the international nightingale keeps getting quieter, getting quieter, getting quieter little by little until it falls, falls definitively before the guffaw of the dark, red men who come from ancient graves, or the ha!.. ha!.. ha!.. of the tubby, sceptical, phlegmatic, idiotic bourgeoisie, or the ha!.. ha!.. ha!,, of the tubby, sceptical, phlegmatic, idiotic bourgeoisie.

Your practical, economical and vile face, Yankeeland, is, is, is today’s black commercial poetry, today’s black commercial poetry and the horrible, hyperborean beauty of business for business’ sake; a great, spiritual zephyr crowns your skyscrapers, hazy stars sing in the nude above their meteorological surfaces, they sing in the nude winking those blue eyes, blue, blue, blue and the moon, the moon comes with the golden slipper of twilight, revealing its leg to the sun, revealing its leg to the sun, revealing its leg to the sun or the epigram, the pornographic-melancholic anecdote of the florid leagues of men on the couch of the eternal towers, eternal like the dreams of the tombs; Yankeeland, your great ways of being, Yankeeland, Yankeeland, they constitute, they constitute and they are an aesthetic interpretation of the world, for having come in projections, in volitions, in sensations beyond the immediate, the appearance of things and the human voice …

Melodiously unfurling its tentacular antennae, Yankeeland smiles and hisses like a snake at the simple Americans of the South, its enormous, antediluvian eye hypnotises birds and animals, citizens and trees, nests, women, children, flowers and fruits and, like a gigantic reflector that catches all of the sun, all of the sun, it drowns in light, drowns in light, drowns in light, it sets fire to, it burns, the formless music of the rural landscape, so eminent, the dark flower of the city, situated between two great premises: 1 000 000 000 000 000 dollars and a canyon of 100 inches … however the little workers of Chile sharpening their scythes modestly grumble, “C’MON SIR” …

Thermometer, chronometer, barometer of the twentieth century, Yankeeland sums up the psychology, the trajectory, the form, the diagnosis of the actual instant of the epoch, TODAY’S sickness; and like this, like this, it sings on its skyscrapers, on its global airlines, on its ocean liners, in its palaces, in its underground, aerial, underground railways, on its travelling zeppelins, travelling, travelling like travelling swallows, on its trucks, on its tractors, in its cars, on its mountain statues, on its mountain statues the nocturnal, emphatic hymns, the square, practical, human feats, the TREMENDOUS moan in which each voice is an ocean, each voice, the epic about bells, bells and tombs, agonies getting darker, agonies about our DELUSIONS OF GRADEUR; and like this it cries with laughter on its financial, bankable lovers, in its blues, contradictory and useless bunches of gloomy voices, in its cubic, mercantile romanticisms, our yellow, sickly ideology of Autumn; and like this, like this, like this it howls, it howls in its complete, total illusion, black like a dead body, white like a boy, grey like memories, and colourless, colourless like the human character, our red apostrophes on materials, our red apostrophes on materials and the oblique cries of modern MAN …

Pablo de Rokha (1894–1968), born as Pablo Díaz Loyola, was one of the most important Chilean poets of the twentieth century. Despite his profound influence upon subsequent generations of Latin American poets, he failed to achieve the international fame of his contemporary, Pablo Neruda, with whom he quarrelled fiercely. In 1965, he was awarded the Premio Nacional de Literatura de Chile, deemed by many at the time to be long overdue. He committed suicide at the age of seventy-three.

Now part of the eponymous HBO docuseries written and directed by Raoul Peck, “Exterminate All the Brutes” is a brilliant intellectual history of Europe’s genocidal colonization of Africa—and the terrible myths and lies that it spawned
“A book of stunning range and near genius. . . . The catastrophic consequences of European imperialism are made palpable in the personal progress of the author, a late-twentieth-century pilgrim in Africa. Lindqvist’s astonishing connections across time and cultures, combined with a marvelous economy of prose, leave the reader appalled, reflective, and grateful.” —David Levering Lewis
“Exterminate All the Brutes,” Sven Lindqvist’s widely acclaimed masterpiece, is a searching examination of Europe’s dark history in Africa and the origins of genocide. Using Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness as his point of departure, the award-winning Swedish author takes us on a haunting tour through the colonial past, interwoven with a modern-day travelogue. Retracing the steps of European explorers, missionaries, politicians, and historians in Africa from the late eighteenth century onward, “Exterminate All the Brutes” exposes the roots of genocide in Africa through Lindqvist’s own journey through the Saharan desert. As he shows, fantasies not merely of white superiority but of actual extermination—“cleansing” the earth of the so-called lesser races—deeply informed the colonialism and racist ideology that ultimately culminated in Europe’s own Holocaust.
Conquerors’ stories are the ones that inform the self-mythology of the West—whereas the lives and stories of those displaced, enslaved, or killed are too often ignored and forgotten. “Exterminate All the Brutes” forces a crucial reckoning with a past that still echoes in our collective psyche—a reckoning that compels us to acknowledge the exploitation and brutality at the heart of our modern, globalized society. As Adam Hochschild has written, “Lindqvist’s work leaves you changed.”
Vivas To Those Who Have Failed: The Paterson Silk Strike, 1913
Vivas to those who have fail’d! And to those whose war-vessels sank in the sea! And to those themselves who sank in the sea! And to all generals that lost engagements, and all overcome heroes! And the numberless unknown heroes equal to the greatest heroes known! —Walt Whitman
I. The Red Flag
The newspapers said the strikers would hoist
the red flag of anarchy over the silk mills
of Paterson. At the strike meeting, a dyers’ helper
from Naples rose as if from the steam of his labor,
lifted up his hand and said here is the red flag:
brightly stained with dye for the silk of bow ties
and scarves, the skin and fingernails boiled away
for six dollars a week in the dye house.
He sat down without another word, sank back
into the fumes, name and face rubbed off
by oblivion’s thumb like a Roman coin
from the earth of his birthplace dug up
after a thousand years, as the strikers
shouted the only praise he would ever hear.
II. The River Floods the Avenue
He was the other Valentino, not the romantic sheik
and bullfighter of silent movie palaces who died too young,
but the Valentino standing on his stoop to watch detectives
hired by the company bully strikebreakers onto a trolley
and a chorus of strikers bellowing the banned word scab.
He was not a striker or a scab, but the bullet fired to scatter
the crowd pulled the cork in the wine barrel of Valentino’s back.
His body, pale as the wings of a moth, lay beside his big-bellied wife.
Two white-veiled horses pulled the carriage to the cemetery.
Twenty thousand strikers walked behind the hearse, flooding
the avenue like the river that lit up the mills, surging around
the tombstones. Blood for blood, cried Tresca: at this signal,
thousands of hands dropped red carnations and ribbons
into the grave, till the coffin evaporated in a red sea.
III. The Insects in the Soup
Reed was a Harvard man. He wrote for the New York magazines.
Big Bill, the organizer, fixed his good eye on Reed and told him
of the strike. He stood on a tenement porch across from the mill
to escape the rain and listen to the weavers. The bluecoats
told him to move on. The Harvard man asked for a name to go
with the number on the badge, and the cops tried to unscrew
his arms from their sockets. When the judge asked his business,
Reed said: Poet. The judge said: Twenty days in the county jail.
Reed was a Harvard man. He taught the strikers Harvard songs,
the tunes to sing with rebel words at the gates of the mill. The strikers
taught him how to spot the insects in the soup, speaking in tongues
the gospel of One Big Union and the eight-hour day, cramming the jail
till the weary jailers had to unlock the doors. Reed would write:
There’s war in Paterson. After it was over, he rode with Pancho Villa.
IV. The Little Agitator
The cops on horseback charged into the picket line.
The weavers raised their hands across their faces,
hands that knew the loom as their fathers’ hands
knew the loom, and the billy clubs broke their fingers.
Hannah was seventeen, the captain of the picket line,
the Joan of Arc of the Silk Strike. The prosecutor called her
a little agitator. Shame, said the judge; if she picketed again,
he would ship her to the State Home for Girls in Trenton.
Hannah left the courthouse to picket the mill. She chased
a strikebreaker down the street, yelling in Yidish the word
for shame. Back in court, she hissed at the judge’s sentence
of another striker. Hannah got twenty days in jail for hissing.
She sang all the way to jail. After the strike came the blacklist,
the counter at her husband’s candy store, the words for shame.
V. Vivas to Those Who Have Failed
Strikers without shoes lose strikes. Twenty years after the weavers
and dyers’ helpers returned hollow-eyed to the loom and the steam,
Mazziotti led the other silk mill workers marching down the avenue
in Paterson, singing the old union songs for five cents more an hour.
Once again the nightsticks cracked cheekbones like teacups.
Mazziotti pressed both hands to his head, squeezing red ribbons
from his scalp. There would be no buffalo nickel for an hour’s work
at the mill, for the silk of bow ties and scarves. Skull remembered wood.
The brain thrown against the wall of the skull remembered too:
the Sons of Italy, the Workmen’s Circle, Local 152, Industrial
Workers of the World, one-eyed Big Bill and Flynn the Rebel Girl
speaking in tongues to thousands the prophecy of an eight-hour day.
Mazziotti’s son would become a doctor, his daughter a poet.
Vivas to those who have failed: for they become the river.
Homo Consumo-pethicus and Sapiens Bellum want their pudding and their meat too!

That came after the company closed or stopped construction on 42 warehouses and delayed construction on another 21 locations.
Taxes, man, and “if you build it, they will swarm, come, pollute, clog, enjoy strip malls and fast-food and endless Friday night cruising. “We’re hoping $8 million to $10 million as assessed value for the building. That’s what we don’t know. We’re starting to put that together for this next year (2024), and we’ll probably have some preliminary figures. We’re anticipating a big chunk.”
In predatory, casino, inverted totalitarian capitalism, the mother fucking billionaires and their lobby lackeys and their prostitutes in media/press and political will bend over and spread those cheeks wide for Bezos, et al.
Federal Aviation Administration began authorizing some drone operators to fly their aircraft “beyond the visual line of sight” (BVLOS).
That key breakthrough has opened the door for companies like Zipline, Wing and Amazon to begin more widespread drone deliveries this year.
Amazon, whose executive chairman Jeff Bezos first floated the idea of drone delivery back in 2013, is ramping up toward a goal of 500 million drone deliveries a year by the end of the decade.

Junk and now prescriptions and almost everything delivered by Amazon (dot) thievery: Oh, those bottlenecks in Panama.
With water levels languishing at six feet (1.8 meters) below normal, the Panama canal authority capped the number of vessels that can cross. The limits imposed late last year were the strictest since 1989, when the conduit was shut as the US invaded Panama to extract its de facto ruler, Manuel Noriega. Some shippers are paying millions of dollars to jump the growing queue, while others are taking longer, costlier routes around Africa or South America.
The constraints have since eased slightly due to a rainier-than-expected November, but at 24 ships a day, the maximum is still well below the pre-drought daily capacity of about 38. As the dry season takes hold, the bottleneck is poised to worsen again.

Forbes: It is no secret the artillery fight for Ukraine has devolved into a battle for mass. The West, hoping to pump at least 200,000 155mm rounds a month into the Ukraine fight, is reaching into old stockpiles and even exploring the idea of refurbishing expired shells. These are all viable stopgaps, but, as the West’s ammunition production infrastructure struggles to scale up in 2024, the artisanal, hand-crafted aspects of post-Cold War artillery manufacturing merits some tough scrutiny.
Production is key.
America is set to produce at least 100,000 155mm shells a month by 2025, leaving Europe with the task to boost domestic production of 155mm shells by 150% over the course of 2024.

When talking about health disparities in the District, the narrative is usually the same: African American residents in Wards 7 and 8 are either at risk or are greatly impacted by illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, kidney disease and cases of sexually transmitted diseases. These disparities are so well-known, they aren’t even newsworthy any more; it’s almost as if we can no longer see them.
A report by Georgetown University on health disparities in the District found that African American residents are being left behind. For instance, African American residents are six times more likely than white residents to die from diabetes-related complications, and twice as likely to die from coronary heart disease. Despite DC’s rapid economic growth and increasing prosperity, “health outcomes and quality of life indicators for African American residents do not reflect trends of the general population,” the report finds.

Joshua Coleman’s a psychologist and author of the book “Rules Of Estrangement: Why Adult Children Cut Ties And How To Heal The Conflict.” Joshua, thanks for being here.
MA: Is estrangement becoming more common than it used to be?
COLEMAN: I think it’s becoming more common, and troublingly, I think it’s becoming more acceptable and accepted. I think there’s a kind of a social contagion that happens through Instagram and TikTok and Reddit where cutting out your toxic family member is becoming sort of an act of personal expression and identity, rather than what it often is, which is an expression more of avoidance. I’m not saying that there aren’t places where, of course, there are. There are abusive, problematic parents or family members who, no matter how well you communicate with them, they’re not going to change, and they can continue to be abusive and hurtful and destructive in one form or another.
But I and my colleagues are working with parents and families where that is not the case, where these are parents who would do anything, who are willing to do their own therapy, go to family therapy, take responsibility, and they’re being told, no, my therapist says you’re a narcissist or you’re a gaslighter. And it’s a huge problem in our society. We have a culture that’s very rich in the language of separation and individuation and labeling and diagnosis but a completely impoverished culture around ideas of connectedness and interdependency and mutual reliance. This is just a five-minute look at the fucking news feeds I get daily, by the nanosecond. Putting them all together as systems thinking fool that I am, is so-so easy. Yeah, I could so entire articles looking at EACH one of these — you know, getting into persuasive writing, the cause and effects and effects and causes; looking at processes and the variation on a theme and the history and the lack of deep thinking, which is tied to the algorithms and AI and mass murdereing (as in critical thinking killing) media.
Then contrast serious problems and what should be solutions-based critical thinking with this “oh shit, the dirty devil lawyers are lining up” stories:
They were too late for New Year Happy Hour.
Ecstatic passengers on a “time machine” flight were left fuming after an airline mishap resulted in them missing out on the chance to celebrate the New Year — twice. Tweets detailing the missed NYE two-fer are going viral as time travel hopefuls voiced their chagrin.
The 3,000-mile flight United Airlines flight was scheduled to depart Guam at 7:35 a.m. on January 1, 2024, and land in Honolulu, Hawaii at 6:50 p.m. on December 31, 2023, due to the 20-hour time difference between the two locations, Kennedy News reported.
This meant that passengers would effectively get to travel back to the past and ring in the New Year twice.
“You only live once, but you can celebrate New Year’s Eve twice!” exclaimed United Airlines in an X post announcing the potential Happy Two Year.
Mush for brains, man: PTSD, Trauma, all those diabetes-inducing chocolates sold without the cute fucking carving? Call out the ambulance chasers. Ruddy G, you around still?
NEW YORK — Cynthia Kelly thought she was buying Halloween-themed Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins with a “cute” carving of a pumpkin’s mouth and eyes, as pictured on the product’s packaging.
But when she opened it, she was horrified to find that there was no pumpkin carving at all. It was just a regular-looking piece of chocolate.
Now, Kelly has filed a $5 million lawsuit against Hershey, the maker of Reese’s, alleging the company falsely represented several of its holiday-themed products on packaging: Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins, White Pumpkins, Pieces Pumpkins, Peanut Butter Ghost, White Ghost and others.
Kelly “would not have purchased the Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins product if she knew that it did not have the detailed carvings of the mouth and/or eyes as pictured on the product label,” the lawsuit says.
The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Florida, seeks class-action status on behalf of “numerous consumers [who] have been tricked and misled by the pictures on the Products’ packaging.”
Hershey declined comment to CNN on the suit.
Hershey joins a growing list of food brands sued for false advertising, including Taco Bell, Wendy’s, McDonald’s, Burger King and Arby’s. These companies use ads that don’t match up with their actual food, the suits allege.

Here, piece of shit Richard Florida, yammering again: Urban studies professor Richard Florida and three city-focused consultants wrote that San Francisco is a hub of a “Meta City,” which they define as a web of cities that share talent pools and industries. By framing it that way, Florida told SFGATE on Friday, they argue out-migration and remote work aren’t necessarily bad for the Bay Area, but could serve to expand its “digital hinterlands.”
“In the technology world, San Francisco remains the center. It remains the sun on which the planets orbit,” Florida said. Those “planets,” the authors wrote, include Austin, Seattle and Portland, as well as larger talent hubs like New York and Los Angeles.

Source: How does Israel, a small country with roughly 8 million people, produce more tech startups and receive more venture capital per capita than any nation in the world? Why does a country with few natural resources have more companies listed on the NASDAQ than Europe, Japan, Korea, India and China combined?
To understand Israel’s innovation success, look no further than the Israeli Defense Forces and the country’s mandatory policy of service for young adults. For me and thousands of Israeli entrepreneurs like me, our startup journey began in the technology units of the Israeli Defense Forces. One unit in particular has become a prolific technology incubator, particularly in the field of cybersecurity: IDF Unit 8200.
The 8200 is a special unit, and in many ways, it’s run like a high-tech startup. It begins with finding the best talent. IDF scouts comb the nation’s high schools to identify high-potential candidates at an early age. They target students with superior analytical capabilities, who can make quick decisions and work well in a team environment. Only the best and brightest are routed to this elite cybersecurity group.
Instead of relying on outside research and development, the 8200’s technologists work directly with their “customers” (the intelligence officers). All of the unit’s technology systems, from analytics to data mining, intercept, and intelligence management, are designed and built in-house. Technologists sit side by side with their users on a daily basis to ensure that their “products” meet the intelligence officers’ specific requirements.
The result is that 8200 alumni have developed critical startup skills and experience even before they start their first company. That’s why it’s not a surprise that technology companies, such as CheckPoint, Imperva, Nice, Gilat, Waze, Trusteer, and Wix all have their roots in this IDF unit. (Israel’s thriving mobility-tech sector has created an innovation nation)

A Study of 500,000 Medical Records Links Viruses to Alzheimer’s Again And Again
“After reading [this] study, we realized that for years scientists had been searching – one-by-one – for links between an individual neurodegenerative disorder and a specific virus,” said senior author Michael Nalls, a neurogeneticist at the National Institute on Aging in the US.
Around 80 percent of the viruses implicated in brain diseases were considered ‘neurotrophic’, which means they could cross the blood-brain barrier.
“Strikingly, vaccines are currently available for some of these viruses, including influenza, shingles (varicella-zoster), and pneumonia,” the researchers wrote.
“Although vaccines do not prevent all cases of illness, they are known to dramatically reduce hospitalization rates. This evidence suggests that vaccination may mitigate some risk of developing neurodegenerative disease.”
Lies, really, siloed science. But for a purpose: AI, AR, CRISPR bio-DNA hack-jabs, and more and more billions to the Mengele Club.
However,
“Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a leading cause of mortality in the developed world with 70% risk attributable to genetics. The remaining 30% of AD risk is hypothesized to include environmental factors and human lifestyle patterns. Environmental factors possibly include inorganic and organic hazards, exposure to toxic metals (aluminium, copper), pesticides (organochlorine and organophosphateinsecticides), industrial chemicals (flame retardants) and air pollutants (particulate matter). Long term exposures to these environmental contaminants together with bioaccumulation over an individual’s life-time are speculated to induce neuroinflammation and neuropathology paving the way for developing AD.
Epidemiologic associations between environmental contaminant exposures and AD are still limited. However, many in vitro and animal studies have identified toxic effects of environmental contaminants at the cellular level, revealing alterations of pathways and metabolisms associated with AD that warrant further investigations. This review provides an overview of in vitro, animal and epidemiological studies on the etiology of AD, highlighting available data supportive of the long hypothesized link between toxic environmental exposures and development of AD pathology.”
Nah, it can’t be all those chemicals and toxins and substances in the average modern body — hundreds that were never in human or animal phisiology before the industrial revolution.
Particle pollution produced by tire wear is found to be 1,850 times higher than emissions from the tailpipes of modern cars, according to the latest testing. In testing more than 250 different types of tires, usually made from synthetic rubber, a material that is derived from crude oil, it found that particles from tire wear contain a wide range of toxic organic compounds, including known carcinogens. They then go straight into soil and water, polluting the sources. Car exhaust emissions, on the other hand, remain in the air for a period of time and affect air quality.
Heavier battery cars are causing greater wear and more tire particle pollution than from car exhausts, suggesting the urgent need for stronger regulation.

Oh, Tesla, et al: In recent years, marine, freshwater and terrestrial pollution with microplastics has been discussed extensively, whereas atmospheric microplastic transport has been largely overlooked. Here, we present global simulations of atmospheric transport of microplastic particles produced by road traffic (TWPs – tire wear particles and BWPs – brake wear particles), a major source that can be quantified relatively well. We find a high transport efficiencies of these particles to remote regions. About 34% of the emitted coarse TWPs and 30% of the emitted coarse BWPs (100 kt yr−1 and 40 kt yr−1 respectively) were deposited in the World Ocean. These amounts are of similar magnitude as the total estimated direct and riverine transport of TWPs and fibres to the ocean (64 kt yr−1). We suggest that the Arctic may be a particularly sensitive receptor region, where the light-absorbing properties of TWPs and BWPs may also cause accelerated warming and melting of the cryosphere. Tires are more complex than they look. The vulcanized rubber compound that makes up the outermost layer, the tread, often contains sulfur, zinc, carbon black, bisphenol A (BPA), and other chemicals. A lot of that gets swept off the roads by rain, along with motor oil, bits of pavement, and other litter.
A three-year study by the San Francisco Estuary Institute (SFEI) found that stormwater carries roughly 7 trillion microplastic pieces into the bay annually – more than 300 times the discharge from the area’s wastewater treatment plant. Nearly half of those appear to be tire fragments. (source)

Here, 1969 pamphlet — imagine, more than half a century ago, and some point spot on.
SOCIALISM OR BARBARISM
1. Class Society Today
I. THE NATURE OF CLASS SOCIETY.
1. Capitalism remains a class society despite the great changes it has undergone in the course of the last century. The same struggle between the classes dominates social life. The same alternatives confront the working class: to submit to ever-increasing exploitation, alienation and enslavement — or to eliminate the exploiting classes, to destroy their social system, and to establish working class power. Only then will it be possible to reorganize society on a new basis and to give a new purpose to human life.
2. The relations of production remain the basis of the class structure of any society. In all countries of the world these relations are capitalist relations because they are based on wage labour. The wage-earners, both as individuals and as a social group, are expropriated from the means of labour, from the products of labour, and from the control of their own activity. They are concentrated in enterprises of various sizes where they are subjected to the ruthless will of capital, personified in the bureaucratic managerial apparatus.
3. Society remains basically divided into two classes. One class disposes of the means of production (either in law or in fact — either individually or collectively). It manages both production and society in its own interests. It determines the distribution, of the total social product and enforces it through its control of the State machine. The other class consists of wage earners whose means of life is the sale of their labour power, and who in the course of work merely execute orders imposed from above.
4. To an increasing degree every sphere of productive life has been ‘proletarianised’. Capitalism has invaded all sectors of the economy. Even in the offices the dominant social form has become the enterprise based on wage labour and organised on an industrial pattern.
Within industry there has been an increase of ‘non-productive’ personnel, who in their turn are becoming ‘proletarianized’. Office staff, other ‘white collar’ worker’s in industry or commerce, and certain categories of Government employees, are henceforth just as much proletarians as are manual workers. They too are wage slaves. They too are submitted to a ruthless division of labour and perform mere tasks of execution, carefully measured and controlled from above. Because of the numerical increase of jobs of this type, they too are deprived of any real prospect of a change in their conditions of life.
Despite the illusions some may retain concerning the ‘status’ they once enjoyed, these strata belong to the proletariat. This is shown quite clearly by the methods of organization and struggle they are increasingly compelled to resort to, in the defence of their most elementary interests.
II. THE WORKING CLASS.
5. The evolution of capitalism has not altered the essential features of working class status in modern society.
In the field of production the extraordinary increase in technical knowledge and the increased productivity of machines have resulted in an increased subjugation of the worker to capital. The utterly absurd nature of work under capitalism is being shown up more and more.
The struggle at the point of production dominates the whole organization of work. It even affects the evolution of technology. Because of working class resistance to the bureaucratic organization of work the capitalists have to impose an over increasing control in the factory, over every aspect of working class activity, whether individual or collective. This takes the form of an increasing division of labour, of time and motion study, and of a perpetual tendency to speed-up.
6. The division of tasks in modern industry is carried out to an absurd degree. The purpose is to convert the yield of the individual worker into something increasingly easy to measure, and therefore to control. The purpose is also to assist the imposition upon workers of methods of production against which they constantly rebel. The tempo of living labour is increasingly subordinated to that of the machine.
The situation is only very superficially different in the automated sectors of production. Here the sustained nervous tension, the loneliness and the monotony of supervisory functions create the same sense of destruction of the worker as a human being. The same process takes place in office work and in other sectors of the economy.
Capitalist production is characterised by the total alienation of labour. The worker is reduced to the role of a simple ‘executant’ of infinitely divided tasks. He is robbed of the control of his own activities.
These have been rigidly drawn up, defined and organized in the offices. He is converted into a mere instrument in the hands of those who manage production, into a mere appendage of the machine.
7. Despite a slowly increasing level of consumption the status of the workers as workers has not fundamentally altered. The working class remains exploited. It remains robbed of roughly half the product of its labour which goes to the parasitic consumption of the exploiting class, to the expenditure of the exploiters’ State, and into investments over which the workers have no control. The nature and objective of these investments are determined by the class nature of society, by the interests of its ruling class. A given pattern of investment serves to reinforce and reproduce a given type of social structure.
8. The fate of the workers in political and social life has not changed either. The workers remain a subordinated class. The whole orientation of modern society (of its economy, of its State, of its housing, of its education, of the objects it will consume and of the news it will get, of the questions of war and peace themselves) remains decided by a self-perpetuating minority. The mass of the population have no power whatsoever over this minority, be the society ‘democratic’ or ‘totalitarian’.
III. CONTEMPORARY CAPITALISM.
9. The transformations undergone by capitalism during the last century show themselves primarily in the increasing concentration of both capital and managerial functions.
In the countries of ‘private capitalism’ this concentration has taken certain well-known forms (monopolies, giant enterprises, trusts and holding companies, the creation of ‘satellite’ companies around the big enterprises, cartels, agreements, professional associations of capitalists, etc.). But it also shows itself more specifically by the new role played by the State.
The State has become the main economic factor in contemporary society. The modern capitalist state absorbs about 25 per cent. of the total social product, handles (directly or indirectly) about 50 per cent. of this product, owns a substantial proportion of the total capital (often concentrated in key sectors such as coal and railways) and finally acts as a central agency for the regulation of the economy as a whole, in the interests of the capitalist class.
10. The concentration of capital and the increasing intervention of the capitalist state have resulted in certain changes in the capitalist economy itself. Some old problems have been solved, many new ones created. The failure to recognize these changes accounts for the sterility of much that passes as ‘marxist analysis’ today.
The ruling classes have succeeded in controlling the level of economic activity and in preventing major crises or depressions. This is a result both of the changing structure of the economy and of the conscious intervention of the State to stabilise economic activity and to guarantee its expansion. Unemployment has enormously diminished. The increase of wages is both more rapid, and especially more regular, than previously. This is a result both of working class struggle and of a new policy on the part of the employers, aimed at buying discipline at the point of production in exchange for certain wage concessions. Wage increases now approximately follow increases in the productivity of labour. This means that the proportion of the total social product going to workers and to capitalists remains approximately constant.
An increase in mass consumption has become indispensable to the smooth functioning of the modern capitalist economy. It has in fact become an irreversible aspect of it. The old ‘image’ of capitalism as characterised by economic slumps, increasing unemployment, and stagnation — if not lowering of living standards, must be discarded. The reality of contemporary capitalism is the expansion of both production and consumption, interrupted by minor fluctuations. This expansion is obtained at the cost of an ever increasing exploitation and alienation of the producers in the course of their labour.
IV. CHANGING STRUCTURE OF THE RULING CLASS
11. The concentration of capital through these various mechanisms has resulted in certain changes in the classical social structure. These relate to the social composition of the ruling class and to the moans whereby individuals may accede to this class.
As the ‘rationalization’ and organisation from outside of all human activities becomes the dominant feature of capitalist society, bureaucratisation spreads to all spheres of social life. In the process, inherited, individual wealth becomes relatively less important as a moans of access to the commanding positions of the economy and of the State.
12. The ‘traditional’ ruling class (based on heavy industry, manufacture, shipping, banking, insurance, etc.) is being forced to share, on an increasing scale, the functions of administration and management (both of the economy and of society at large) with a growing bureaucratic stratum.
This stratum is becoming an integral part of modern capitalist societies, indispensable to their ‘efficient’ functioning, and reflecting deep and irreversible changes in the structure of their economies.
13. The bureaucracy has some of its roots in production. The concentration of capital and the ‘rationalization’ of production from outside create the necessity for a bureaucratic apparatus in the factory. The function of this apparatus is to ‘manage’ the labour process and the labour force and to coordinate the relations of the enterprise with the rest of the economy.
The bureaucracy also finds roots in the increasing number of individuals involved in the higher reaches of state activity (nationalised industries, government economic agencies, etc.). This is a result of the profound changes that have taken place in the economic role of the state.
The bureaucracy finally finds its roots in the political and trade union organisations of the working class itself. To straight-jacket the workers, to integrate them more and more into the existing social order, requires a specific apparatus. This apparatus participates to an increasing degree in the day-to-day management of capitalist society, of which it is an integral part.
The bureaucracy is not a homogeneous social formation. It has developed to varying degrees in various countries. Its economic basis is the final stage in the concentration of capital, namely the tendency of monopoly capitalism to fuse completely with the state. In the countries of classical capitalism the managerial bureaucracy is not based on any fundamentally new mode of production or new pattern of circulation of commodities. It is based on changes in the economic basis of capitalism itself.
14. The growth of the bureaucracy has profoundly altered the internal structure of the ruling class. New elements have had to be incorporated and the diffusion of privileges extended. New hierarchical relationships emerge.
The process has been a very uneven one, the resistance of the old ruling classes to fusion with the new strata varying considerably from place to place. It has varied according to the economic problems confronting the capitalists, according to the pressures of the working class for more radical solutions and according to the degree of historical insight which the rulers have achieved.
V. THE PERSISTING CONTRADICTIONS IN CAPITALISM.
15. These modifications of capitalism have done nothing to lessen the contradictions of the system which lie in the field of production and of work. These are the contradictions contained in the alienation of the worker.
Capitalism attempts by all possible means to transform the workers into mere executors of tasks decided by others, into mere cogs of its industrial machine. But if it succeeded in this attempt, capitalism would cease to function. Capitalism constantly attempts to exclude the workers from the management of their own activities — but is at the same time constantly obliged to seek their participation.
This contradiction dominates every capitalist enterprise. It provides the framework within which the class struggle is constantly regenerated, whatever the level of wages.
16. Attempts by the capitalists to solve this contradiction by the ‘rationalization’ of their enterprises, by Taylorism, by work study methods, by the use of industrial sociologists and psychologists, by talk of the ‘importance of human relations’ have all miserably failed. They have done nothing to lessen the intensity of the class struggle which today opposes workers and management, in every country in the world, in disputes concerning conditions and tempo of work and the control of human activity in the process of production.
17. Under a different form, the same contradiction is also to be found in every aspect of collective life. For instance political life is organized in such a manner as to exclude the vast majority of the population from any effective management of their own affairs. The corollary is indifference and apathy. These in turn make it difficult for capitalist political institutions even to function according to the requirements of the capitalist class itself. A minimum of genuine participation is required to prevent these organizations being shown up for the complete sham that they are.
18. The development and bureaucratisation of capitalism have not lessened its irrationality and its fundamental anarchy. Both at the level of the factory and at the level of society as a whole, the bureaucratic capitalist management is a mixture of despotism and confusion which produces a fantastic human and material wastage”
The ruling classes and their bureaucratic apparatus constitute a small minority of society. They are separated both from the immense majority of mankind and from social reality itself. Because of this they are incapable of effectively managing even their own system, in their own interests. They are even less capable of solving the immense problems confronting humanity today.
Because of this, and despite the elimination of economic crises of classical type, capitalism cannot and will never be able to avoid crises of another kind: moments when the irrationality of the whole system explodes in one way or another, bringing with it periodic breakdowns of the ‘normal’ functioning of society.
19. The crisis of all capitalist institutions is deeper than ever. Day after day capitalism demonstrates its incapacity to solve the problem of relations between men in the process of production. It also demonstrates its inability to solve any of the other major problems of social life in the 20th century.
Its political institutions are an object of contempt for the general population, which is increasingly losing interest in ‘traditional’ politics. There is a general decay of all its values: moral, political, social and cultural. The crisis in the traditional conception of the family and the increasingly bureaucratic, artificial and absurd nature of ‘education’ in modern society have provoked, in all industrial countries, an immense revolt of youth. Youth today tries to live its life both outside and against established society. This has immense revolutionary implications.
20. The only objective which the ruling class is still capable of proposing to humanity is the carrot of ‘a rising standard of living’. All that they mean by this is an increase in the consumption of material goods. But this increase is constantly outpaced by the increase in ‘needs’ which capitalist society automatically generates or quite artificially creates. The struggle for status and the acquisition of wealth is far more intense in an advanced industrial community than in a primitive African village.
The slow but regular increase in living standards, which is a feature of contemporary capitalism, is counteracted by the increasing fatigue and alienation at work. It does not lessen the smouldering dissatisfaction of millions of individuals with their conditions of life, nor does it lessen the underlying social tensions. We have only to look for confirmation of this assertion, at the sustained nature of the class struggle in precisely those countries where working class wages are highest.
2. The Socialist Programme
25. ALL historical experience has shown that no reforms can alter the fate of the worker in capitalist society or solve the crisis confronting society. The programme of yesterday’s reformists has been realised today in a whole series of countries. In the process it has proved its own futility !
Historical experience has also shown that no stratum, category, or organisation can achieve socialism ‘on behalf of’ the proletariat and in its place. Socialism will only be built through the radical destruction of the present social system. To the extent that present society is more and more dominated by the bureaucracy this means that socialism will only be built through the destruction of all bureaucracies (including those presenting themselves as the ‘leadership of the proletariat’).
This means that socialism will only be achieved through the autonomous and self-conscious activity of the working masses. ‘The emancipation of the working class is the task of the working class itself.
26. Socialism does not only mean the abolition of private capitalism. It means the abolition of all dominating and privileged strata in society.
It therefore implies the abolition of any social group claiming to manage production or the State ‘on behalf of the proletariat’.
27. The socialist revolution must proclaim and realise the expropriation of the capitalists and the suppression of the bureaucracy in the workshops, in the state, and in society at large. It must give the management of production in the factories to the workers (manual workers, employees and technicians) who operate them.
The organs of this management will be assemblies of workers, shop assemblies, departmental assemblies, factory assemblies and factory councils composed of elected representatives, revocable at all times.
Production will be planned according to human needs. A variety of alternative plans will be drawn up, electronic equipment being used to an increasing degree to work out the inter-related needs of various sectors of the economy. This is the purely technical aspect of planning. The implications of the various plans (in relation to such basic human questions as hours of work, level of consumption, level of investment) will then be presented to the people. A meaningful and genuine choice will become possible. This is the political aspect of planning.
All revenue derived from the exploitation of labour will be abolished. There will be equality of wages and pensions until it proves feasible to abolish money.
28. The State is the pivot of all systems of exploitation and oppression in contemporary society. The socialist revolution will have to destroy the state as an instrument of coercion, independent and separate from the bulk of the population.
The administration of production and the forms of social organisation will be radically different from the present one. The new institutions will be managed by those who work in them. The standing army and the police force will be abolished. The ‘armed people’ themselves will defend the revolutionary power, against attempts at counter-revolution. The main threats to the new society will come not only from the deposed ruling class. It will also come from bureaucratic tendencies within the working class itself, particularly those advocating the delegation of industrial management or political power to ‘specialised’ minorities,
The functions of government will be in the hands of assemblies of elected and permanently revocable representatives of the factory committees and of other sections of the working population.
29. The socialist revolution will give a new purpose to man’s life. The elimination of bureaucratic anarchy and waste, combined with the changed attitude of workers towards the productive machine over which they have real mastery, will permit society to develop production and consumption to unsuspected degrees. But this development will not be the fundamental preoccupation of the socialist revolution.
From the very onset the revolution will have consciously to turn towards the transformation of man. It will devote great efforts to changing the very nature of work (from subjection to the machine, which it is today, into an endeavour where creative faculties will be allowed to flourish to the full). It will have to create a universal education of a totally new kind. It will have to abolish the barriers between education and work, between intellectual and manual training, between the school and real life. It will have to abolish the division between town and country and seek to create integrated human communities.
30. These objectives must not be relegated to an unforeseeable ‘communist’ future.. If they are, people will feel that things have not really changed in the areas that concern them most, The activity of the masses will wane. For the sake of ‘efficiency’, ‘specialists’ will step in and start taking the decisions themselves. They may do so at first with the best of revolutionary intentions, but the revolution will soon begin to degenerate.
The socialist revolution only stands a chance of being victorious (as a socialist revolution) if from the very first day it is capable of showing mankind a new way forward and a new pattern of life in all fields of human activity.

3.Degeneration Of Working Class Organisations
31. In the countries of modern capitalism the class struggle shows contradictory aspects.
In production the struggle shows an intensity never witnessed hitherto. It takes place both in the field of purely economic demands but also, and on an increasing scale, on questions concerning conditions of work and life in the factory. The ‘wildcat’ strikes in the USA and the ‘unofficial’ strikes in Britain provide repeated examples of this tendency.
But outside the factory the class struggle does not manifest itself as it used to. Or it only manifests itself in an abortive way, deformed by the bureaucratic working class organisations. Occasionally these mobilize particular categories of workers and bring them out in ‘disciplined’ and bureaucratically managed strikes. Or else the ‘struggle’ finds expression in purely electoral support for the so-called workers’ parties,
In the field of politics the present period is characterised by an almost total absence of proletarian participation. This phenomenon (which has been called apathy or depolitisation) goes much deeper than any previous or temporary fluctuation in the level of working-class political activity.
32. In today’s society the proletariat does not appear to have objectives of its own. It does not mobilize itself — except in an electoral sense — to support the parties which claim to represent it. The active members of these parties are rarely workers.
Looked at from the outside the proletariat appears utterly dominated by its political and trade union machines. But this domination is an increasingly hollow one. It masks a total absence of working class participation. The support is purely passive.
The roots of this situation are to be found in two intimately interrelated processes; the evolution of modern capitalism and the bureaucratisation of working class organisations.
33. The degeneration of working class-organisations is not due to ‘bad leaders’ who ‘betray’. The problem has much deeper roots. It is due primarily to the pressures and influences of capitalist society on the proletarian movement. Originally created to overthrow bourgeois society, the political and trade union organisations of the working class have increasingly adopted the objectives, methods, philosophy and patterns of organisation of the very society they were striving to supersede. There has developed within their ranks an increasing division between leaders and led, order-givers and order-takers. This has culminated in the development of a working class bureaucracy which can be neither removed nor controlled. This bureaucracy pursues objectives of its own.
34. The traditional organisations come forward with claims to ‘lead’ the working class. In reality they see the class as a mass to be manoeuvred, according to the pre-conceived ideas of those who dominate the particular Party machine. They all see the objective of working class emancipation as an increased degree of working class participation in general ‘prosperity’.
The reformists claim that this can be achieved by a better organisation of traditional capitalism. The Stalinists and Trotskyists claim that what is needed is a change in the formal ownership of the means of production and planning from above. Their common philosophy boils down to an increase in production and consumption guaranteed by the rule of an elite of managers, seated at the summit of a new hierarchy based on ‘ability’, ‘experience’, ‘devotion to the cause’, etc… This objective is no different from the essential objectives of contemporary capitalism itself.
35. The degeneration is not due to the intrinsic evils of organisation (as some anarchists would claim). Nor is it due to the fact that reformists and Stalinists have ‘wrong ideas’ and provide ‘bad leadership’ (as sundry Trotskyists and Leninists still maintain). Still less is it due to the bad influence of particular individuals (Gaitskell, Stalin, etc…).
What it really reflects is the fact that even when struggling to overthrow the capitalist system the working class remains a partial prisoner of the system, and this in a much more subtle way than is usually understood. It remains a prisoner because it continues to conceive of its liberation as a task to be entrusted to the leaders of certain organisations to whom the class can confidently delegate its historical role.
36. The bureaucratised working class organisations, parties and unions, have long ceased to express the historical interests of the workers. The reformist bureaucracy aims at securing a place for itself in the management of the capitalist system as it is. The Stalinist bureaucracy aims at instituting in various countries a regime of the Russian type where it would itself become the dominant social group. In the meantime the Stalinist bureaucracy aims at using the working class in the West as pawns for the foreign policy of the Russian bloc.
37. Despite their periodic conflicts with the ruling class, both reformist and Stalinist parties and unions have as their ultimate objective the integration of the proletariat into class society. They are the vehicles through which capitalist ideas, attitudes and mentality seep into the proletariat. They seek to canalise and control all manifestations of working class revolt against the existing social order. They seek to limit the more extreme excesses of the system, the better to maintain exploitation within ‘tolerable’ limits. They give the workers the idea that they are genuinely represented and that they ‘participate’ in the management of society.
Finally, and above all, they repeatedly negotiate wage concessions in exchange for an increased subjugation of the working class in the process of production itself.
38. The political and trade union organisations of the working class are confronted with an insoluble dilemma. On the one hand they are institutions belonging to established society. On the other hand they aim at maintaining within their framework a class whose conditions of life and work drive it to destroy that very society.
The individual participation of revolutionaries in these organisations should be determined by prevailing conditions (degree of working class composition and participation, national traditions, nature of the organisations, etc.). But it is out of the question for revolutionaries to take over important posts in these parties or unions, or for the revolutionary organisations to set themselves the target of ‘reforming’ or ‘capturing’ them. Working class illusions about the possibility of ‘democratizing’ or changing these outfits must not be encouraged, and must in fact be exposed.
The organisations which the working class needs must base themselves on a totally different ideology and structure and use entirely different methods of struggle.
39. Apathy and depolitisation result from the bureaucratic degeneration. The working class organisations have become indistinguishable from bourgeois political institutions. They bemoan the lack of working class participation but each time the workers attempt massively to participate, they shout that the struggle is ‘unofficial’ or against the ‘best interests’ of the union or of the Party.
The bureaucratic organisations prevent the active intervention of workers. They prostitute the very idea of socialism which they see as a mere external modification of existing society, not requiring the active participation of the masses.
40. Apathy and depolitisation also result from the transformations undergone by capitalist society. Economic expansion, full employment, the gradual increase in wage rates, mean that for a whole period (which has not yet come to an end) the illusion of progress still affects the working class. A higher standard of living appears possible and becomes one of the main preoccupations. This attitude is deliberately and very skilfully fostered and manipulated by capitalism, for its own ends.
[hr]
4. The Way Forward
41. The working class is undergoing a profound experience of modern capitalist society. Possibilities are steadily increasing for workers to achieve the deepest possible insight into their real condition and to understand the real problems they will have to face in order to free themselves in production.
The steady increase of consumption of a capitalist type creates its own problems. Goods in increasing quantity are bought at the cost of increasing exhaustion at work (this often makes the enjoyment of the goods quite impossible!). ‘Needs’ appear to be never ending. The absurd rat-race after a ceaselessly increasing standard of living generates its own resistances. These help loosen the grip the ruling class exerts on this method of manipulating the masses.
Workers will increasingly see the key problem confronting them as that of their condition, as human beings, within production and at work. This problem is quite insoluble within capitalist society, whatever the level of wages . The problem confronting workers will become more and more explicitly that of transforming production itself: in other words that of workers’ management.
42. In parallel with this development is the growth of working class experience of its own bureaucratic organisations. This will help it understand that the only valid solution to its problems is through autonomous action, through taking its fate into its own hands.
43. There is factual evidence that the working class is going through precisely such an experience. Increasing numbers of strikes in Britain and in the USA relate to conditions in the factory. This problem is gradually becoming the central one confronting the working class. Even if only implicitly and to a small degree, it is the question of management of the enterprise and of production which is raised every time the workers challenge managerial rights.
The increasing number of ‘wildcat’ strikes in the USA and of ‘unofficial’ strikes in Britain show clearly that many sections of the working class are beginning to understand the real nature of the trade union bureaucracy .
The same problems, in all their breadth, were at the centre of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. During this great uprising the workers sought both to destroy the bureaucracy as such and to impose their own rule over production, through their workers’ councils, the organs of their own power.
44. To rise above its present situation the working class, must build, its revolutionary organisations. It is more than ever obvious that such organisations are needed to assist workers in the class struggle today. This was shown very clearly by the recent experience of the Belgian General Strike.
5. The Revolutionary Organisation
45. The formation of a new revolutionary organisation will be meaningless (and indeed impossible) unless it bases its ideas, its programme, its structure and its methods of action on the historical experience of the working class, particularly that of the last 40 years. This means it must draw the full lessons of the period of bureaucratisation and that it must break with all that is mere ritual or hangover from the past. Only in this way will it be able to provide answers to the real and often new problems which will be posed to the working class in the period to come.
46. Both the conception of the crisis of modern society and the critique of capitalism must be radically changed. The critique of production and work under capitalism must be at the centre of the preoccupations of the revolutionary organisation. We must give up the idea that capitalism creates rational factories and rational machines and that it organizes work ‘efficiently’ although somewhat brutally and for the wrong ends. Instead we must express what every worker in every country sees very clearly that work has become absurd, that it means the constant oppression and mutilation of workers and that the bureaucratic organisation of work means endless confusion and waste.
Material poverty must of course be exposed, where it exists. But the content of consumption under capitalism must also be exposed. It is not enough to criticize the smallness of the education budgets we must denounce the content of capitalist education. We must denounce the concept of the school as an activity apart from life and society. It is not enough to demand more subsidies for housing: we must denounce the idea of barrack-towns and the way of life they entail.
It is not enough to denounce the present government as representing the interests of a privileged class. We must also denounce the whole form and content of contemporary politics as a business for ‘specialists’, concerned merely with a small number of circumscribed questions. A revolutionary organisation must break with traditional politics. It must show that revolutionary politics are not confined to talk of wages, government and international affairs, but that they deal with everything that concerns man and his social life.
47. The confusion about the socialist programme created by the degenerated organisations (whether reformist, Stalinist or Trotskyist) must be radically exposed. The idea that socialism only means the nationalisation of the means of production and planning — and that its essential aim is an increase in production and consumption — must be pitilessly denounced. The identity of these views with the profound orientation of capitalism itself must constantly be shown.
Socialism is workers’ management of production and of society and the power of the workers’ councils. This must be boldly proclaimed and illustrated from historical experience. The essential content of socialism is the restitution to men of the domination over their own life, the transformation of labour from an absurd means of breadwinning into the free and creative action of individuals and groups, the constitution of integrated human communities and the union of the culture and the life of men.
This content of socialism should not be shamefully hidden as some kind of abstract speculation concerning an indeterminate future. It should be put forward as the only answer to the problems which torture and stifle society today. The socialist programme should be presented for what it is: a programme for the humanisation of labour and of society. Socialism is not a back-yard of leisure attached to the industrial prison. It is not transistors for the prisoners, It is the destruction of the industrial prison itself.
48. The traditional organisations base themselves on the idea that economic demands are the central problem for the workers and that capitalism is incapable of satisfying them. This idea must be repudiated, for it no longer accurately corresponds to reality.
The activity of the revolutionary organisation in the unions should not be based on out-bidding other tendencies on economic demands. These are often supported by the unions and are eventually realisable by the capitalist system without major difficulty.
The ability of the system to grant such wage increases is in fact the basis of the permanent reformism of the unions. Contemporary capitalism can only live by granting increases in wages and for that the bureaucratised and reformist unions are indispensable to it.
This does not mean that revolutionaries should quit the unions or cease to fight for economic demands. It means however that neither of these points has the central importance that was formerly given to it.
49. Exploitation in contemporary society takes on more and more the form of a hierarchical relationship. The ‘need’ for such a hierarchical organisation is defended by both the capitalists and by the workers’ organisations. It has in fact become the last ideological support for the whole system.
The revolutionary movement must organise a systematic struggle against the ideology of hierarchy in all its manifestations, including the hierarchy of salaries and jobs in the factory and in the workers’ own organisations .
50. In all struggles, the way in which the result is obtained is at least as important as what is obtained. Even from the point of view of efficiency, actions organised and led by the workers themselves are superior to actions decided and led bureaucratically. They alone create the conditions of progress, for they alone teach the workers to run their own affairs.
The first rule guiding the activity of the revolutionary movement should be that its interventions aim not at replacing but at developing the initiative and the autonomy of the workers.
51. Even when the struggles in production reach a great intensity it is difficult for workers to pass from their own experience to an understanding of the problems of society as a whole. In this field the revolutionary organisation has a most important task to fulfil.
This task must not be confused with sterile agitation or speculation concerning incidents in the political life of the capitalist or degenerated workers’ parties. It means showing that the system always functions against the workers and that they cannot solve their problems without abolishing both capitalism and bureaucracy and without completely reconstructing society. It means pointing out to workers that there is a profound and intimate analogy between their fate as producers and their fate as men in society. Neither the one nor the other can be modified without abolishing the division of society into a class which takes the decisions and a class which merely executes orders. Only through long and patient work in this direction will it be possible to pose anew — and in correct terms — the problem of mobilising the workers on general questions.
52. The revolt of youth in modern society and the break between the generations are without common measure with the previous conflicts of generations . Youth today no longer opposes adults with a view to taking their place in an established and accepted system. They refuse this system. They no longer recognize its values. Contemporary society is losing its hold on the generations it produces. The rupture is particularly brutal in politics.
The vast majority of politically active workers and supporters of traditional ‘left’ organisations, whatever their good faith and goodwill, cannot make their reconversion. They remain trapped in the ideology of a previous period. They repeat mechanically the lessons and phrases learnt long ago, phrases which are now empty of all revolutionary content. They remain attached to forms of action and organisation which have collapsed.
The traditional organisations of the left succeed less and less in recruiting the youth. In the eyes of young people nothing separates these organisations from the moth-eaten and rotten parties of privilege they meet on coming into the political world.
The revolutionary movement will be able to give a positive meaning to the immense revolt of contemporary youth and make of it the ferment of social revolution if it can express what youth is looking for and if it can show youth effective methods of struggle against the world it is rejecting.
53. Ideas must be changed on the relation between the proletariat and the revolutionary organisation. The organisation is not, and cannot be, the ‘leadership’ of the proletariat. It should be seen as an instrument of the proletarian struggle.
The role of the organisation is to help workers in struggle and to contribute towards clarifying and generalising their experiences. The organisation pursues these aims by the use of all methods consistent with its final objectives: the development by the proletariat of a lasting consciousness and ability to manage its own affairs.
54. The revolutionary organisation will not be able to fight the tendency towards bureaucracy (constantly engendered under capitalist conditions) unless it functions itself according to the principles of proletarian democracy and in a consciously anti-bureaucratic manner. This implies a total rejection of ‘democratic centralism’ and all other forms of organisation that encourage bureaucratisation.
Genuinely revolutionary organisation implies a) the widest autonomy of all the local groups, b) direct democracy rather than delegation of decision-taking to be applied wherever possible, and c) centralisation, where necessary, to be achieved through delegates elected and revocable at any time by their local groups.
More than constitutional guarantees are required however to defeat the tendency towards bureaucracy. This will only be overcome to the extent that a genuinely collective participation of all members can be achieved, both in relation to activities and in relation to the formulation of policy.
55. Revolutionary consciousness cannot be generated by propaganda alone. The revolutionary organisation must participate in the struggles of workers and other sections of the population, both assisting them and learning from them.
While unconditionally defending the struggles of workers for their immediate interests, the organisation should put forward suggestions for linking these immediate struggles with the historical objectives of the proletarian movement (demands against wage differentials, demands opposing the alienation of workers in production). The organisation should support all methods that make possible collective action and control by the workers of their own struggles (elected and revocable strike committees, mass meetings of workers before important decisions are taken, etc.). It should denounce bureaucratic forms of organisation and propagate the idea of more representative institutions (such, as the shop stewards’ movement). It should finally seek to achieve the widest possible solidarity with workers engaged in struggle, seek to disseminate accurate information about these struggles and point out the lessons to be drawn from them.
56. The revolutionary organisation should also seek to bring closer together the proletarian struggle and the struggle of other sections of the population, equally deprived of any effective say in the management of the affairs that concern them most. The anti-war movement is particularly important in this respect. Both provide radical challenges to established society. Both necessitate a type of action only possible outside of the traditional organisations. Both command the enthusiasm of youth. Both are capable of generating new forms of struggle and of organisation profoundly relevant to the socialist future.
Part of the propaganda and of the activities of the revolutionary organisation should be directed towards new layers of wage earners (white collar workers, office workers, students and intellectuals). The similarity between their objectives and those of the working class should repeatedly be pointed out, as should the only possible solution to both: the complete democratisation of society through the socialist revolution.
57. Revolutionary propaganda must go even further however. It must generalise the experiences of the working class in order to raise its struggle from the level of the factory to that of society as a whole. This implies a critique of capitalist society in all its aspects, along the general lines we have here outlined. It also means bringing back to the working class the real programme of socialism: collective management of a genuinely human society.
the quality of higher education is only as far as the billionaires will allow it.
Dialing for billionaires’ and non-profit philanthropy outfits’ dirty dirty money. This is the Ivy League, man: Harvard has borne the brunt of business executives’ and politicians’ outrage after the Cambridge, Mass.-based university’s initial statement on the ongoing conflict was criticized for not explicitly condemning Hamas. A later statement did explicitly condemn them.
The university has also been under fire after 30 campus organizations penned a statement on the ongoing conflict that blamed the conflict squarely on Israel. Those groups wrote that “the apartheid regime is the only one to blame.”
Bill Ackman, the CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, called on the university to release the name of all members of the club so that he can blacklist them. Ackman and his wife, Karen Ackman, are both Harvard alumni; in 2014, the couple donated $26 million to support the university.
[Piece of shit telling us lemmings to jump off that cliff?]
Several other business executives, including Sweetgreen CEO Jonathan Neman, agreed with Ackman in posts on X.com, formerly known as Twitter.
“I would like to know so I know never to hire these people,” Neman wrote in response to Ackman’s comments on X last week. (source)
Goddamn, the racists all over Substack, in legacy and other whacko media, are going after the Harvard Prez who resigned because of Biden-Level Plagiarism, or was it plain talk about White Supremacist Israel? This is it for the world, fucking insignificant school and overpaid board members, and the outstretched knuckle-dragging hands of the Admin Class, hoping for more of te Continuing Criminal Enterprise Sicarios’ moolah.
Ice Cube?
“No Vaseline,” a diss track off the 1991 album Death Certificate, the rapper took aim at Jerry Heller, N.W.A’s former manager, who is Jewish.
“Get rid of that Devil real simple / Put a bullet in his temple / ’Cause you can’t be the N*gga 4 Life crew / With a white Jew telling you what to do / Pulling woolds with your scams / Now I gotta play Silence of the Lambs,” he rhymed.
On “True to the Game,” he rapped, “‘Nigga go home’ spray-painted on your house / Trying to be white or a Jew / But ask yourself, who are they to be equal to? / Get the hell out / Stop being a Uncle Tom, you little sell-out.”
Cube and several other former members of N.W.A have long claimed that Heller (along with Eazy-E) stiffed them on their songwriting royalties and locked them into oppressive contracts via their Ruthless Records label.
Fucking entertainment. Thespians are infecting all aspects of this transactional Predatory Capitalism, from city counil chambers to used car sales to Harvard Boardrooms to the political class, just all over the fucking land. So all things non-Jew scrutinized hard by the Jews?
In late 6th century Athens (BCE), it was all the rage. Introduced by Thespis, “play-acting” quickly attained widespread popularity among Athenians who, like most people, were looking for diverting forms of entertainment to fill the evening hours. On one such evening the aged patriarch Solon, celebrated lawmaker and civic founder, was persuaded to attend a performance. His reaction?: indignation and an angry rebuke to Thespis, who blithely responded that such “play” was harmless, merely a novel pastime. “No!” Solon retorted angrily (here paraphrasing Plutarch’s account), “It is dangerous. Such a tolerance for pretense and deception will end up infecting all our commerce and civic life.” But Thespis merely shrugged — and, some 2500 years later, we now find ourselves enmeshed in a media-sphere of garrulous, deceitful “actors,” all clamoring for our attention as they exhibit their base arts of “persuasion.”
Aristotle, in his book on Rhetoric, had warned presciently that the “base” variety of rhetoric seeks to undermine our self-directed judgment in order to manipulate and control our decisions. Much later, in the mid-18th century, Jean-Jacques Rousseau followed Plutarch’s account of Solon by writing an angry polemic against the establishment of a theater in his beloved Geneva. (“Impression-Management” and the “False Self”)
Lupe Fiasco releases his sixth LP, Drogas Light, tomorrow, much attention will be paid to the subtext and themes of his rhymes by those looking for hints of anti-semitic rhetoric.
In mid-December, the rapper shared a single called “N.E.R.D.,” which lit up the music community for this particularly eyebrow-raising line: “Artists getting robbed for their publishing/By dirty Jewish execs who think that it’s alms from the covenant.”
Fiasco hopped back on Twitter to specifically name the Jews in the music business he felt had defrauded him, including former Warner Music CEO Lyor Cohen and the company’s current CEO Craig Kallman.
“Lyon Cohen told me he may not honor the terms of an existing contract unless i signed a contract which changed the terms of the existing one,” he wrote. “Craig Kallman once negotiated a deal in secret which said I agreed to give away 85% of my pub rights to the song Airplanes to his producers.”
“[I]n Harlem…. our … landlords were Jews, and we hated them. We hated them because they were terrible landlords and did not take care of the buildings. The grocery store owner was a Jew… The butcher was a Jew and, yes, we certainly paid more for bad cuts of meat than other New York citizens, and we very often carried insults home along with our meats… and the pawnbroker was a Jew—perhaps we hated him most of all.” — James Baldwin
Stereotypes and racism were definitely prevalent amongst Jews in the entertainment business. “Jewish women vaudevillians at the turn of the century popularized what is now a little-discussed and misunderstood performance venue, known as ‘coon shouting,’ “ writes Pamela Brown Levitt.
“Trying to break into the entertainment business, [Tin Pan Alley entrepreneurs’] aesthetics were circumscribed in a vehemently antiblack and xenophobic milieu. By the mid-1880-s they had formed a tight-knit Tin Pan Alley industry that came to dominate vaudeville and early black musicals … Intended as comedy, coon song ranged from jocular and dismissive to cruel and sadistic … Coon song sheet music and illustrated covers proliferated defamatory images of blacks in barely coded slanderous lyrics. For example, the ‘N’ word and associated inferences were dispatched in words like ‘mammy,’ ‘honey boy,’ ‘pickinniny,’ ‘chocolate,’ ‘watermelon,’ ‘possum,’ and the most prevalent ‘coon.’ ”
Harvard University President Claudine Gay announced her resignation on Tuesday, following scrutiny of her academic record, including numerous allegations that she plagiarized passages in her published works. Six additional examples of plagiarism were recently discovered by Washington Free Beacon reporter Aaron Sibarium.
These allegations are very serious and have led numerous commentators—including Harvard students—to conclude that she must be held accountable. Even The Harvard Crimson‘s editorial board, writing in support of Gay, nevertheless acknowledged that she had committed plagiarism and that the university’s investigation had been inadequate.
Harvard? Factory of hucksters, liars, grifters, war criminal wannabes, predatory CEOs, lawyers . . . . Capitalism is a lie factory. Poison Ivy League school? The military kill academies? How many liars end up teaching at Harvard, and how many LIARS are matriculated fuckers from that school?

During Larry Summers’s Harvard presidency, the number of tenured jobs offered to women has fallen from 36% to 13%. Last year (2005), only four of 32 tenured job openings were offered to women.
The DoD riff-raff, the generals, all those Colonel Ollie North types, the endless millions of thieves, manslaughter experts, ambulance chasers, tort lawyers, lawfare criminals, schemers, three-card monty pros? Here, the liars club — just scratching the surface! America is snake oil salesmen, house flipping, suckers born every nanosecond, and mass formation.
From CIA Network News, CNN:
Vice President Joe Biden, 1987:During the 1988 Presidential election, the then-presidential candidate was accused of mimicking a speech that British Labour Party Neil Kinnock delivered just four months prior.
Kinnock’s speech included the following lines:
Why am I the first Kinnock in a thousand generations to be able to get to university? [Pointing to his wife in the audience:] Why is Glenys the first woman in her family in a thousand generations to be able to get to university? Was it because all our predecessors were thick?
While Biden said:
I started thinking as I was coming over here, why is it that Joe Biden is the first in his family ever to go to a university? [Pointing to his wife in the audience:] Why is it that my wife who is sitting out there in the audience is the first in her family to ever go to college? Is it because our fathers and mothers were not bright? Is it because I’m the first Biden in a thousand generations to get a college and a graduate degree that I was smarter than the rest?
White House Aide Timothy Goeglein, 2008:The senior White House official resigned after he admitted copying large sections of an essay he wrote for a newspaper in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
German Defense Secretary Karl Theodor zu Guttenberg, 2011: Guttenberg resigned amidst a scandal involving alleged plagiarism in his doctoral dissertation. Although he denied the accusations, the University of Bayreuth revoked his doctorate title. Guttenberg had been considered a rising star in Merkel’s government, but his political career expired with his diploma.
Hungarian President Pal Schmitt, 2012: Schmitt, a former Olympic fencing champion, wrote his dissertation in 1992 for the University of Physical Education, which is now part of Semmelweis University in Budapest.
In January 2012, the Hungarian HVG weekly reported that a large part of Schmitt’s dissertation was copied, and a university investigation confirmed that more than 200 pages of the 215-page document showed “partial similarity” to other works, or were direct translations.
Senator Rand Paul, 2013: Paul has been the subject of several plagiarism scandals – surrounding both his speeches and his book.
The first was highlighted when MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow pointed out that a speech he made in 2013 was lifted directly from the Wikipedia page of the film “Gattaca”. BuzzFeed also reported that he did the same in another speech, pick pocketing from “Stand and Deliver.”
They went on to report that Paul’s book “Government Bullies” was heavily plagiarized without attribution – highlighting passages stolen from Forbes, the Cato Institute, and the Heritage Foundation.
German Education Minister Annette Schavan, 2013: The University of Dusseldorf stripped Schavan of her Ph.D. after a blogger caught the plagiarism and spent months vigilantly presenting the evidence to the public.
The blog “schavanplag” (for “Schavan” and “plagiarism”) compared passages of Schavan’s 1980 dissertation with sections of written works by other authors – in multiple instances they matched word for word, or nearly. The blog alleges Schavan did not properly source her work and claimed others’ work as her own.
Senator John Walsh, 2014: The Montana Senator was thrown into a plagiarism scandal regarding his master’s thesis for the Army War College. Three quarters of the 20-page document, titled “The Case for Democracy as a Long-Term National Strategy” was found to be plagiarized, the New York Times first reported.
Republican Presidential Candidate Ben Carson, 2015: BuzzFeed News broke the story that Carson had lifted material from a number of books and online sources for his 2012 book “America the Beautiful.” They revealed that several sections of the book were copied from a variety of online articles, a CBS News article, and a website titled SocialismSucks.net.
“I attempted to appropriately cite and acknowledge all sources in America the Beautiful, but inadvertently missed some. I apologize, and I am working with my editors to rectify the situation,” Carson said in a statement his representative, Armstrong Williams, provided to CNN.
Harvard? Shit.
The theological rebellion of Anne Hutchinson and her fellow Antinomians compelled the 1637 General Court to finally fund the “Colledge” that they had founded on paper the previous year. The school was intended to protect orthodox Puritan theology by educating future ministers in “the New England way.”
However, it must be understood that while Harvard was established for a religious purpose, it was never a “seminary.” The motive of its founding was theological, but the education provided always included the classical liberal arts. While approximately 50% of early graduates did enter the ministry, the remainder were entering secular professions.
But at the same time, the religious education offered to all the students who studied in the “Colledge” would help to establish a religious uniformity in the Colony. This emphasis on conformity in religious education was designed to counter both the method and content of Mrs. Hutchinson, who had advocated that each individual had direct access to Divine inspiration.
“God is just as present in the secular as the religious realms of life,” wrote theologian Harvey Cox in his 1965 bestseller “The Secular City.”
“Turn on – find a sacrament which returns you to the temple of God, your own body. Go out of your mind. Get high. Tune in – be reborn,” was the motto of psychologist Timothy Leary who ran the Harvard Psilocybin Project. Although Harvard fired him in 1963 for egging his students onto psychedelics, one guinea pig, Huston Smith, became a towering scholar of religion.
Back in kaleidoscopic Annenberg built in a cruciform structure, the latest addition is the marble bust of W. E. B. Du Bois commissioned in 1993 for the first African American to receive a doctorate from Harvard in 1895. “I was in Harvard, not of it,” he wrote during the Jim Crow era of segregation. “I believe in God, who made of one blood all nations.”
“The only thing an Ivy League postgrad likes to talk about more than where he went to college is a fellow graduate who, after four years on campus, has turned out to be something of a monster.
To quote PhD economist Richard Wolff.
Karl Marx’s work is never taught. Hardly ever in any kind of systematic way, for an economist. Let me be very personal with you. I have an education here in the United States that makes me a bit of a poster boy for the elite system. I went to Harvard as an undergraduate. Then I went to Stanford University in California for my Master’s degree in Economics and I got my PhD in Economics at Yale University. This is sort of like having an education that is half Oxford, half Cambridge etc, etc. In all of those years, ten years, that I spent in the three arguably best universities in the United States, I was never required to read one word of Karl Marx’s analysis of how a capitalist system works. That’s not an achievement of our system. It’s a pathetic failure of our system.
Henry Heller takes readers from the ideological apparatus of the early Cold War, through the revolts of the 1960s and on to the contemporary malaise of postmodernism, neoliberalism and the so-called ‘knowledge economy’ of academic capitalism. He reveals how American educational institutions have been forced to decide between teaching students to question the dominant order and helping to perpetuate it. The Capitalist University presents a comprehensive overview of a topic which affects millions of students in America and increasingly, across the globe.
The deteriorating situation of the universities has its own internal logic as well. In response to the decline in funding, but also to the prevalence of neoliberal ideology, universities—or rather the presidents, administrators, and boards of trustees who control them—are increasingly moving away from their ostensible mission of serving the public good to that of becoming as far as possible like private enterprises. In doing so, most of the teachers in these universities are being reduced to the status of wage labor, and indeed precarious wage labor. The wages of the non-tenured faculty who now constitute the majority of teachers in higher education are low, they have no job security and receive few benefits. Although salaried and historically enjoying a certain autonomy, tenured faculty are losing the vestiges of their independence as well. Similarly, the influence of students in university affairs—a result of concessions made by administrators during the upheavals of the 1960s and 1970s—has effectively been neutered. These changes reflect a decisive shift of power toward university managers whose numbers and remuneration have expanded prodigiously. The objective of these bureaucrats is to transform universities as much as possible to approximate private and profit-making corporations, regarded as models of efficient organization based on the discipline of the market. Indeed, scores of universities, Phoenix University for example, have been created explicitly as for-profit businesses and currently enroll millions of students.
Modern universities have always had a close relationship with private business, but whereas in the past faculty labor served capital by producing educated managers, highly skilled workers, and new knowledge as a largely free good, strenuous efforts are now underway to transform academic employment into directly productive, i.e., profitable, labor. The knowledge engendered by academic work is accordingly being privatized as a commodity through patenting, licensing, and copyrighting to the immediate benefit of universities and the private businesses to which universities are increasingly linked. Meanwhile, through the imposition of administrative standards laid down in accord with neoliberal principles, faculty are being subjected to unprecedented scrutiny through continuous quantified evaluation of teaching and research in which the ability to generate outside funding has become the ultimate measure of scholarly worth. At the same time, universities have become part of global ranking systems like the Shanghai Index or the Times Higher Education World University Rankings in which their standing in the hierarchy has become all important to their prestige and funding.
Confederacy Of Dunces — The Tyranny Of Compulsory Schooling John Taylor Gatto: Teacher training in Prussia was founded on three premises, which the United States subsequently borrowed. The first of these is that the state is sovereign, the only true parent of children. Its corollary is that biological parents are the enemies of their offspring. When Germany’s Froebel invented Kindergarten, it was not a garden for children he had in mind but a garden of children, in which state-appointed teachers were the gardeners of the children. Kindergarten is meant to protect children from their own mothers.
The second premise of Prussian schooling is that intellectual training is not the purpose of state schooling — obedience and subordination are. In fact, intellectual training will invariably subvert obedience unless it is rigidly controlled and doled out as a reward for obedience. If the will could be broken all else would follow. Keep in mind that will-breaking was the central logic of child-rearing among our own Puritan colonists, and you will see the natural affinity that exists between Prussian seeds and Puritan soil — from which agriculture our compulsory schooling law springs. The best-known device to break the will of the young, practiced for centuries among English and German upper classes, was the separation of parent and child at an early age. Here now was an institution backed by the police power of the state to guarantee that separation. But it was not enough to compel obedience by intimidation. The child must be brought to love its synthetic parent. When George Orwell’s protagonist in 1984 realizes that he loves Big Brother after betraying his lover to the state, we have a dramatic embodiment of the sexual destination of Prussian-type schooling; it creates a willingness to sell out your own family, friends, culture, and religion for your new lover, the state. Twelve years of arbitrary punishment and reward in the confinement of a classroom is ample time to condition any child to believe that he who wields red-pen-power is the true parent, and they who control the buzzers must be gods.
The third premise of Prussian training is that the schoolroom and the workplace shall be dumbed down into simplified fragments that anyone, however dull, can memorize and operate. This solves the historical dilemma of leadership: a disobedient work force could be replaced quickly, without damage to production, if the workers required only habit, not mind, to function properly. This strategy paid off recently during the national strike of air-traffic controllers, when the entire force of these supposed “experts” was replaced overnight by management personnel and hastily trained fill-ins. There was no increase in accidents across the system! If anyone can do any particular job there’s no reason to pay them very much except to guarantee employee loyalty and dependency — a form of love which bad parents often extort from their young in the same way.
Harvard? The great theological scholar Dietrich Bonhoeffer raised this issue of the new dumbness in his brilliant analysis of Nazism, in which he sought to comprehend how the best-schooled nation in the world, Germany, could fall under its sway. He concluded that Nazism could be understood only as the psychological product of good schooling. The sheer weight of received ideas, pre-thought thoughts, was so overwhelming that individuals gave up trying to assess things for themselves. Why struggle to invent a map of the world or of the human conscience when schools and media offer thousands of ready-made maps, pre-thought thoughts?
As our most trusted universities continue to privatize large swaths of their academic programs, their fundamental nature will be changed in ways that are hard to reverse. The race for profits will grow more heated, and the social goal of higher education will seem even more like an abstraction. Even the partnerships that are undertaken with noble intentions never truly put the student first. (source)
In a competition to woo students, public universities are increasingly offering lavish amenities that have nothing to do with education.
The latest trend is lazy rivers, which have been installed at several big institutions, including the Universities of Alabama, Iowa and Missouri. Last year, Louisiana State University topped them all with a 536-foot-long “leisure” river in the shape of the letters “LSU,” part of an $85 million renovation and expansion of its gym. It was L.S.U. students who footed the bill.
At a time when college has never been more expensive, this is the last thing students should be paying for. According to the College Board, tuition and fees at public four-year institutions grew more than 60 percent over the past 10 years. State budgets for higher education have been slashed, and students have to make up the difference.
In the case of L.S.U., the lazy river was financed entirely by student fees, an addendum to their annual tuition. According to the Chronicle of Higher Education, over the past five years, those fees increased by 60 percent, nearly triple the amount L.S.U. students paid in 2000.
Tuition and fee hikes at public universities don’t come out of nowhere. Each has to be approved by a school’s governing board, whose trustees are typically appointed by the governor. Ensuring affordable, quality education is an essential part of trustees’ responsibility, but unfortunately often not part of their practice.
Trustees of public universities are stewards of a public trust that rests nobly on the notion that an enlightened citizenry is vital to a democratic society. They have a fiduciary duty to represent the citizens and taxpayers who support public institutions of higher education, as well as the students who attend them. But even though the best interests of students and taxpayers revolve around college access, affordability and graduation outcomes, too often presidents and boards are more focused on the rankings, reputation and popularity of the institution itself.

Old piece in Dissident Voice, which by the way doesn’t publish me anymore.
Oh, the elite, or the admin class, or the middling white managerial class, how they are confounding it all, and nary a real activist sees that we are cooked until we wipe them away from positions of power.
I appreciate all the work of environmentalists, for sure, and on this Memorial Day, how does that fit into the scheme of green things? How does it fit when we have liquid gas coming to Coos Bay, Oregon, or Vancouver, WA. How does it all mix when we all have given the valley of death and the valley of hope to the legal ones, the barristers, the second, third and first-tier lawyering class, these people like Obama, or worse, who have corralled people into a continual stream of consumption, endless growth, sprawl and debt.

Five Easy Pieces of Advice from Leaders in Education Who Can’t and Will Never Teach!
See how that works. Simple microcosmic illustration, here, in small-time Vancouver, Clark College, yet, whew, look at it, this is emblematic of our times, the tyranny of the Admin Class, Dean-lets, the Boards of Education, Regents, whatever you want to call the most OUT OF TOUCH humans on earth – the antithesis of education, scholarship, rhetoric, critical thinking, education. These people are running faculty into their graves. Sending students packing into debt hell, into neutered hell, into the end times of thinking, or anything reliable now in the classroom.
Here, in Vancouver and environs, we have a state school, Clark Community College, though they cut the Community from the title, for obvious reasons of pure marketing crap, as if college means more to a human, to the paper the AA degree or now four-year degree is printed on?
Killing community from both the name of the college, and the point of the education. The point of communities – oh, farms, hospitals, schools, small businesses, culture, hell, even small churches. Recreation, hell, safety and I suppose what the entire game is supposed to be – survival, fairness, life, retraction against the tyrannical class.
I’ve been writing about precarious workers, faculty, the entire lie of working us, the majority, to the bone, firing us with a few flippant student evaluations, the rotten tenured class and department heads who have euthanized history, activism, dignity and the tools to fight the very villains who call themselves provosts and HR heads, and development directors, marketing mavens, gifts and giving creeps.
So, the debt is insurmountable, and the job market rigged by the Kochs, Bloombergs, Gates, HPs, the entire lot of them, those retailers, and the few corporations that are still in business in this country as makers or builders of things. This story is about the fugue leaders, as in the presidents of colleges that throw themselves the most money who are proud to say their colleges are the ones with the most student debt. What heroes, and they get money thrown at them, conferences tailored to their misanthropy, and they have hundreds under them, each, on their privatizing team, all those yes men, and mostly yes women, now. That price of feminism, more people of both genders who have sold us all out. They talk an alternative language, and they are a species of their own. Try it out sometime, attending a meeting they hold, or some mumbo-jumbo BS talk they have on “leadership” (sic-sic).
So, Clark College (minus-COMMUNITY), like the universities and and colleges around this country, and in other countries, hire on scabs, hire on us, the precarious, the part-time and the nontenured. They have been hiring us on in droves since the 1970s, and we are at a point where colleges are run by Wannabe One Percenters, these MBA and institutional leadership creeps, and the bulk of the faculty are in the cross hairs of American exceptionalism, the poverty strewn world of the elites and their little Eichmanns, keeping clocks running, [urchasing useless junk like software spewing retrograde crap in our schools, all for the love of keeping students at bay and holding their intellect like Playdough.
So, the colleges here and in all 50 states hire on people as temps, freeway fliers, and that commitment to them is as superficial as the commitment made by our politicians and our leaders. We teach when enrollments go up, and we are sacked a quarter or more later. So, Clark College, the big main campus, and entire multi-campus unit, is in a $3 million shortfall, is sacking part-timers, you know, last to hire first to fire mentality, by the leadership. This former military creep, head of the school, his big bucks and his minions following him, and the entire joke, since he is anti-intellectual, anti-learning, but a whore to the dollar.
Cutting teachers, cutting the good classes, like humanities, film studies, history, drama, lit., you name it, these ex-Colonels who we throw money at, they cut what disturbs them, and, alas, while these emails hit our Outlook boxes hourly, about “don’t count on summer jobs, don’t count on anything in the Fall, but stay tuned, and just hang on, and, well, we will be contacting you if anything changes,”we get emails about millions of dollars to buy land from some private guy who “donated” $3.1 million after he got in his pocked the money for the same land. You know, a fire sale, from $9.1 million for 60 acres down to $6 million in his pocket.
This is the deal: the school is in massive cutting, massive financial straits, but, heck, some benefactor from Holland, some immigrant as the college PR folk said, gave the school some money, or was it land, to build a satellite campus, a few miles north, in a rural scape.
Read closely, and see that economic unlimited growth mentioned, and economists, and county economic development folk. Read this, and weep, because these people are in business to make money, to sell land, to plow, bulldoze, build, outfit, landscape and service with TAX PAYER money. The end result, a bricks and mortar satellite facility with more precarious workers — faculty — and more numb-nuts ideas from the women and men of the Admin Managerial Deanlet CEO class.
Clark College Foundation has finalized the purchase of nearly 60 acres through a generous $3.1 million gift from the Boschma Family LLC. Additionally, the foundation will pay $6 million for the land. The acreage is located in Ridgefield on the east side of North 65 Avenue, north of Pioneer Street and northeast of the Interstate 5 and Pioneer Street interchange.
The leadership gift from the Boschma family was key in being able to move forward on this project. In making the more than $3.1 million gift, Hank and Bernice Boschma said they were excited to be a part of expanding educational opportunities for students in the region, including first generation and immigrant students.
You’ll be interested to know that the Boschma family’s introduction to Clark College was when Hank and Bernice took a citizenship course in preparation for the national exam after emigrating from Holland. One of their daughters also attended Clark.
The timing of this is good for the campus and good for the community we serve. In April, the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges prioritized building projects for the upcoming biennium. According to that prioritization, the North County Campus building will receive design funding in the 2017-2019 budget, and likely receive construction funding in the 2019-2021 budget.
The gift and acquisition represent a long-term visionary chapter for the growth anticipated at Clark College. The college’s 2007 Facilities Master Plan identified North County as a growth area based on projections from regional economists, and the most recent update of the Facilities Master Plan reinforced the need for a facility in this part of our service area.
Can you believe the audacity of these managerial class losers? Planning to build another campus while deciding to kill jobs and, get this, adding more fees on to the already struggling students – $2 per credit. Big plans, these ex-colonels and MBAs and Institutional Management PhDs have for us all. You know what I have written about if you have kept up with my gig here at DV – these simpletons, running the show, the rotten rats, who fee and levy and tax and fine and surtax and poll tax and user fee and gouge us — faculty, community members and especially the students – in an ever-living hell of death by a million pennies just to breathe AIR.
So, that little issue of climate change, sprawl, endless traffic, greenspaces gobbled up by the people that have to come, if they build the satellite campus, which they will, oh, heck, how do we then stop all the energy waste, energy flow, with that sort of mentality? Can you imagine what this says about the entire shooting match? About fighting for a world that HAS to plan for disasterous Climate Change? Do these rotten over-paid whores to capital CARE? What’s their 10- and 20-year plan? You know the answer — endless trips to Costco, retirement, golf, rollerblading, Winabego-ing into their hells. How does building another campus node do a thing to mitigate that issue of roads, single occupancy vehicle trips, the entire stupidity of campuses that are 50 to 60 percent under-utilzed? Then the matter of what great courses will be studied? What will this campus out in rural-scape be? Another degree in fabrication of robot parts? Boeing and General Dynamics designed curricula? How will they be taught? What sort of teachers will be the material deliverers? How much power will be taken away from faculty and moved to the Institutional Leadership liars and the admin class and their cronies and the business elite who are there with fat hands at the taxpayer funding trough?
Do you have the answer yet, or do you need to read some of my PAST pieces, all satire and sane in one fell swoop?
Fat-jowl presidents, one after another, in their CEO class of community killing warriors, heralding this accomplishment, a new campus soon, in the middle of fields of Johnson grass, strawberries, huge secluded and lock-gate homes, the castle is my home groupies, sort of interestingly evangelical types in the middle of cow fields and tree farms. You know, the society of whites who want nothing to do with riffraff, nothing to do with the masses. Two acres, private jungle gym, alpacas for pets, triple SUV garage, a kitchen big enough for ten Cambodian families to live in. I know these people, as I drive on my bicycle, as each month I find the side mirrors of their Lexus SUVs and BMWs get closer and closer to my elbows, back, rear tire.
So, I wonder, how serious we all are in this game of stripping us of our power as community builders, in this battle against the money changers, the privatizers, those people who are the cogs and gears in the systems of the Monsantos, General Dynanics, Bayers, University of Phoenixes, CocaColas, that great morass that is the MADAPE complex that at this point relies on compliants and takers and fearful ones, even those of us in the 80 percent class. MADAPE – MediaAcademicDefenseAgriculturePrisonEnergy COMPLEX.
These people, presidents, are not wholly respected behind their backs, but that is the crime is it not, this mealy-mouthed society of people afraid to take these people head on, and in mass. Collectively.
So, below, quit a list of items tied to adjunct faculty action, inaction, exploitation, movement, unionism, and our culture of voyerism looking at all of our plights with frog necks and bug-eyes.
5. Latest updates from Marty Hittelman, author of “ACCJC gone wild” (college accreditors)
We write in solidarity with homeless adjunct faculty member Mary-Faith Cerasoli, who is currently in the seventh day of a desperate and determined hunger strike.
Mary-Faith Cerasoli’s experience exemplifies the impact of a broken system of academic employment on more than one million adjunct faculty and their students. Mary-Faith speaks four languages, has a master’s degree from Middlebury College, and previously taught Advanced Placement languages in the New York City public schools. She has been an adjunct professor since 2011. She teaches five classes a semester; her annual income is $22,000 per year. She has also been homeless since 2011. Mary-Faith has a life-threatening thyroid disease; until this week, she was denied the Medicaid coverage that would have enabled her to get consistent, life-sustaining treatment.
Mary-Faith has tried everything one person can try to mitigate her plight. She has appealed to college administrators and the New York City Board of Education. She has contacted legislators and the governor, written letters and made phone calls, protested at the New York Department of Education in Albany, and exposed the circumstances of her life to public inspection-and the inspection of her students-through appeals to the media.
Mary-Faith has done everything professional middle-class people are taught to do to redress injustice. None of it has worked. She is now engaged in a hunger strike that dramatizes the absurdity and unfairness of her unconscionable marginalization.
We affirm the right of every individual, acting in accordance with the leadings of his or her own conscience, to engage in nonviolent protest like Mary-Faith’s. This broken system must be ended and replaced with one that is sustainable-and sustaining of both the new faculty majority and the students and parents who pay such a heavy price for higher education. To that end, our actions must be taken not only individually, but in large numbers and coordinated ways, and we commit ourselves-as individuals and in our organizations-to continue our work towards those outcomes.
Mary-Faith’s protest energizes us in our work for a sustainable system of academic employment. We hope that it also galvanizes others in the movement of adjunct faculty and their allies-in and out of unions-who are currently building movements and organizations of the more than one million adjunct faculty members in the United States.
A higher ground is within our reach; we have to unite and fight together to get there.
That’s the number of adjunct and part-time faculty who’ve formed unions under the SEIU/Adjunct Action umbrella, after two big wins this week for adjunct faculty at Northeastern University in Boston and Mills College in Oakland, CA who voted to form unions.
“Winning our union election shows what you can do when you work together and have the support of your local community,” said Anne Fleche, an adjunct faculty member at Northeastern who teaches film. “I’m so glad that our success today may help empower other workers, including adjunct faculty like ourselves, to change working and learning conditions in higher education.”
Northeastern adjuncts have formed the largest part-time faculty union in Boston, where approximately 2,000 adjunct faculty at Tufts University, Lesley University, and Northeastern are now united as part of the metro organizing strategy.
The victories yesterday are just the start of what will be an exciting summer for adjuncts. Part-time faculty at dozens of schools are working to unite with their colleagues in SEIU, and many are scheduled to vote soon or have filed for union elections, including adjuncts at the University of the District of Columbia, the San Francisco Art Institute in the Bay Area, Laguna College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, Seattle University, Marist College in New York State and Hamline University and Macalester College in Minnesota.
Share the news of the victories and get more people onboard! Click here to share a Facebook photo.
We’ll keep you apprised of news throughout the summer, from organizing updates to trainings and policy. Share your thoughts on Twitter and Facebook about these exciting developments using the hashtag #AdjunctAction.

14. Student debt and number of low wage faculty rising fastest at state universities with highest paid presidents [surprise]
The One Percent at State U
New report finds that student debt and low-wage faculty labor are rising faster at state universities with the highest-paid presidents
Washington, D.C. — An Institute for Policy Studies report featured in the New York Times today finds student debt and low-wage faculty labor are rising faster at state universities with the highest-paid presidents.
‘The One Percent at State U’ examines the 25 state universities that paid out the most in executive compensation from 2005 to 2012.Executive pay at these schools reached an average of nearly $1 million by 2012 while student debt and low-wage faculty rose much faster than national averages.
“The high executive pay obviously isn’t the direct cause of higher student debt, or cuts in labor spending,” co-author Dr. Marjorie Wood told the New York Times. “But if you think about it in terms of the allocation of resources, it does seem to be the tip of a very large iceberg, with universities that have top-heavy executive spending also having more adjuncts, more tuition increases and more administrative spending.”
At the 25 state universities with the highest-paid presidents:
• average executive pay rose to nearly $1 million by 2012–increasing more than twice as fast as the national average at peer institutions. • student debt is rising faster than at state universities as a whole. • spending on administration outstripped scholarship spending by more than 2 to 1. • part-time adjunct increased more than twice as fast as the national average at all universities. • permanent faculty declined dramatically, making up less than half of all faculty by 2012.
The report ranks the worst offenders across all categories: excessive executive pay, rising student debt, inflated administrative expenditures, and increases in low-wage and temporary faculty labor. The top 5 worst offenders across the board were:
1. Ohio State University
2. Penn State
3. University of Minnesota
4. University of Michigan
5. University of Washington
Ahh, the Liars’ Club, USA Presstitutes, AKA MSM: Main Scum Media. Covering for Biden’s Genocide. This is the fucking shell of a “man.”
come on, 9/11 . . . USS Liberty . . . 1967 war . . . Israel leaders as terrorists earl early before Nakba . . . Unit 8200 . . . Google . . . Pegasus . . . the jabs . . . ?
Ahh, the Jews of the IDF and Mossad and Unit 8200 and their old DNA hugger, Edward Bernays, are at it again and again and again:
I mean, you can listen to a historian on the “history of” Israel: He can’t put his arms around 9/11, but worth a listen.
Dr. Hixson will provide an explanation of and historical analysis of the Israeli lobby in the US which he argues is the the largest, most well-funded and influential lobby acting on behalf of a foreign country in American history. His analysis stems from his work positing the connection of the two countries based on their characterization as “settler colonial nations”. This has created a special relationship between Israel and the US which has bolstered Israeli policies toward Palestinians.
But we have heard this a million times, and then, ANTI-SEMITISM is thrown around like candy at a pinata smash!
GWOT is a Jewish project.
Within hours of the 9/11 attacks, Osama bin Laden was identified as the architect of the attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon, without a shred of evidence.
On the following day, the “war on terrorism” was launched. The media disinformation campaign went into full gear.
From the outset, the objective was to use 9/11 as a pretext for launching the first phase of the Middle East-Central Asian War, which consisted in the bombing and occupation of Afghanistan. This was achieved by sustaining the myth that Muslim terrorists supported by the Afghan government had attacked America on September 11, 2001.
To this date, there is no evidence that Al Qaeda was behind these attacks. Afghanistan was identified as a “state sponsor of terror.” The 9/11 attacks were categorized as an act of war, an attack on America by a foreign power.
The right to self-defense was put forth. The US-NATO aggressor was portrayed as the victim.
On September 12, 2001, less than 24 hours after the attacks, NATO invoked for the first time in its history “Article 5 of the Washington Treaty – its collective defence clause” declaring the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center (WTC) and the Pentagon “to be an attack against all NATO members.” (I should mention, in relation to the Ukraine War, that there are indications that the invocation of Article 5 are currently being discussed by US/NATO behind closed doors.) [ “Osamagate” and America’s “Global War on Terrorism” (GWOT) ]
The statement of Professor Richard Falk, who is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) formulated in the immediate wake of 9/11 — published four days after the commencement of the US-NATO bombing campaign– was intent upon providing legitimacy to America’s war on Afghanistan:
“I have never since my childhood supported a shooting war in which the United States was involved, although in retrospect I think the NATO war in Kosovo achieved beneficial results. The war in Afghanistan against apocalyptic terrorism qualifies in my understanding as the first truly just war since World War II.”
“The perpetrators of the September 11 attack cannot be reliably neutralized by nonviolent or diplomatic means; a response that includes military action is essential to diminish the threat of repetition, to inflict punishment and to restore a sense of security at home and abroad.
The extremist political vision held by Osama bin Laden, which can usefully be labeled “apocalyptic terrorism,” places this persisting threat well outside any framework of potential reconciliation or even negotiation for several reasons: Its genocidal intent is directed generically against Americans and Jews;
its proclaimed goal is waging an unconditional civilizational war–Islam against the West– without drawing any distinction between civilian and military targets; it has demonstrated a capacity and willingness to inflict massive and traumatizing damage on our country and a tactical ingenuity and ability to carry out its missions of destruction by reliance on the suicidal devotion of its adherents.” (Richard Falk, The Nation, Defining a Just War, October 11, 2001, 4 days after the invasion of Afghanistan).
Note the emphasis on: “genocidal intent against Americans and Jews” as part of an alleged “civilizational war of Islam against the West.”
September 11, 2001 provides a justification for waging a war without borders. Washington’s agenda consists in extending the frontiers of the American Empire to facilitate complete U.S. corporate control, while installing within America the institutions of the Homeland Security State.
Among the growing number of Americans who disbelieve the official version of the 9/11 attacks, two basic theories are in competition: I called them “inside job” and “Mossad job”. The first one is the dominant thesis within the so-called 9/11 Truth movement, and blames the American government, or a faction within the American Deep State. The second one claims that the masterminds were members of a powerful Israeli network deeply infiltrated in all spheres of power within the US, including media, government, military and secret services.
This “Mossad job” thesis has been gaining ground since Alan Sabrosky, a professor at the U.S. Army War College and the U.S. Military Academy, published in July 2012 an article entitled “Demystifying 9/11: Israel and the Tactics of Mistake”, where he voiced his conviction that September 11th was “a classic Mossad-orchestrated operation.”
We can notice from the outset that incriminating Israelis or Arabs are both “outside job” theories (in fact, they are mirror images of each other, which is understandable in light of what Gilad Atzmon explains about Jewish “projected guilt”).
Before even looking at the evidence, “outside job” sounds more credible that “inside job”. There is something monstrous in the idea that a government can deceive and terrorize its own citizens by killing thousands of them, just for starting a series of wars that are not even in the nation’s interest. By comparison, a foreign power attacking the U.S. under the false flag of a third power almost seems like fair play. Indeed suspicion of Israel’s role should be natural to anyone aware of the reputation of the Mossad as: “Wildcard. Ruthless and cunning. Has capability to target U.S. forces and make it look like a Palestinian/Arab act,” in the words of a report of the U.S. Army School for Advanced Military Studies quoted by the Washington Times, September 10th, 2001 — the day before the attacks.
This is an important point, because it raises the question of how and why the 9/11 Truth movement has been led to endorse massively the outrageous “inside job” thesis without even considering the more likely thesis of an attack by a foreign power acting under an Islamic false flag—and what foreign power but Israel would do that?
Of course, the two dissenting theses do not necessarily exclude each other; at least, no one incriminating Israel denies that corrupted elements from the American administration or deep state were involved. The “passionate attachment” between Israel and the U.S. has been going on for decades, and 9/11 is one of its monstruous offsprings.
I can think of no better symbol of that reality than the marriage of Ted and Barbara Olson. Ted Oslon, after having defended Bush in the disputed 2000 election, had been rewarded with the post of Solicitor General (he also defended Dick Cheney when he refused to submit to Congress Enron-related documents). Barbara was a famous CNN reporter, but before that, she was born Barbara Kay Bracher of Jewish parents, educated at Yeshiva University School of Law, and hired by the legal firm WilmerHale, of which Jamie Gorelick, a future member of the 9/11 Commission, was also a member, and whose clients include powerful Israeli firms like Amdocs, a digital communication company charged with spying for Israel in the United States. On September 11, 2001, Barbara Olson alledgedly was on flight AA77, from which she made two telephone calls to her husband. Her calls were reported on CNN in the afternoon, and contributed to crystallize some details of the official story, such as the “box cutters” used as only weapons by the hijackers. Repeatedly invited on television shows after 9/11, Ted Olson frequently contradicted himself when questioned about the calls from his wife. In a 2006 report, the FBI identified only one call from Barbara Olson, and it was an unconnected call lasting 0 seconds. Like all other reported phone calls from desperate passengers (including the famous “Hi, Mom. This is Mark Bingham”), Barbara’s call was simply impossible, because the technology required to make high-altitude phone calls was not developed until 2004.[3]
9/11 was made possible by an alliance between secret worshippers of Israel and corrupted American elements. The question is: who, of the two, were the masterminds of this incredibly daring and complex operation, and for what “higher purpose”?
Another question is: why do those who keep repeating as a mantra “9/11 was an inside job” ignore totally the compelling evidence pointing to Israel? In other words, to what extent do they constitute a “controlled opposition” intended to cover up for Israel? Asking this type of question does not mean suspecting anyone who defends an erroneous or incomplete theory of being a hypocrite. Most people defending one theory or the other do so sincerely, based on the information to which they have access. I have myself been a believer in the official theory for 7 years, and in the “inside job” theory for 2 years, before progressively moving on to the present argument from 2010. On the other hand, we can assume that those who lead the public into error on a long term are not just mistaken but lying. In any case, it is legitimate to investigate the background of opinion makers, and when they are caught lying or distorting the truth, we can speculate on their motivation. I will come back to this issue at the end of the article.
This four-part series on Israeli spying in the United States is pretty shocking. It originally aired on Fox News in December 2001. The videos remained on the Fox News web site for just a couple of days after the fourth installment before being taken down without comment — in other words, being censored. Fox News must have received a great deal of pressure from Israel and the US government to completely throw away the efforts of this investigation.
“Old news” at this point, perhaps, but history is written by those who control the flow of information.
Of note in this video (all four segments contained in one video):
1. A highly placed US investigator states, “evidence linking these Israelis to 9/11 is classified. I cannot tell you about evidence that has been gathered. It’s classified information.” This statement suggests that such evidence must exist, since there would be no need for classification if nothing had been found.
2. American terrorism investigators fear certain suspects in the September 11 attacks may have managed to stay ahead of them, by knowing who and when investigators are calling on the telephone; information provided by an Israeli-owned (and IDF funded) telephone company at which several of the arrested Israeli 9/11 suspects worked.
3. It is revealed that the wiretapping capability that is permanently built into your telephone is built, installed, and maintained by yet another Israeli owned company and that this equipment is suspected of having a “back door” which allows the Mossad to use the same equipment to wiretap any telephone in America by remote control.
4. The availability of information on police phone calls resulted in the collapse of an investigation of a drug and fraud crime ring with Israeli connections. Investigators traced the information, which included calls to police investigators’ beepers, to Amdocs.
On March 14th, 2002, an article in French newspaper Le Monde signed by Sylvain Cypel also referred to the report, shortly before the French magazine Intelligence Online made it fully accessible on the Internet.
It said that 140 Israeli spies, aged between 20 and 30, had been arrested since March 2001, while 60 more were arrested after September 11. Generally posing as art students, they visited at least “36 sensitive sites of the Department of Defense.” “A majority of those questioned have stated they served in military intelligence, electronic signal intercept, or explosive ordnance units. Some have been linked to high-ranking officials in the Israeli military. One was the son of a two-star general, one served as the bodyguard to the head of the Israeli Army, one served in a Patriot mission unit.” Another, Peer Segalovitz, officer in the 605 Battalion of the Golan Heights, “acknowledged he could blow up buildings, bridges, cars, and anything else that he needed to.”
After reaching this conclusion in JFK-9/11, I had the satisfaction of finding that Victor Thorn, in a book that had eluded me (Made in Israel: 9-11 and the Jewish Plot Against America, Sisyphus Press, 2011), had already expressed it in harsher terms: “In essence, the ‘9-11 truth movement’ was created prior to Sept. 11, 2001 as a means of suppressing news relating to Israeli complicity. By 2002–2003, ‘truthers’ began appearing at rallies holding placards that read ‘9-11 was an inside job.’ Initially, these signs provided hope for those who didn’t believe the government and mainstream media’s absurd cover stories. But then an awful realization emerged: The slogan ‘9-11 was an inside job’ was quite possibly the greatest example of Israeli propaganda ever devised. […] The mantra, ‘9-11 was an inside job’ is only partially true and is inherently damaging to the ‘truth movement’ because it shifts all attention away from Israel’s traitorous assault against America. […] Leaders of these fake 9-11 groups know the truth about Israel’s 9-11 barbarity. Their willingness to perpetuate or cover it up ultimately makes them as guilty and vile as those who launched the attacks. There are no degrees of separation in this matter. It’s a black-and-white issue. Tell the entire truth about Israel’s Murder, Inc. cabal, or sleep in the same infected bed as these murdering dogs lie in. […] Faux conspiratologists complain about the government and news sources not telling the truth, yet they’ve erected an utter blackout on data regarding Israel and 9-11.” (Guyenot)

the obscene nature of the Western Perversion of New Year’s (sic) Based on Mutilating Mother Nature and the Moon
The Chinese tradition of a Spring Festival/New year goes back 3,500 years. The date of the Chinese New Year is determined by the lunar calendar. The holiday falls on the second new moon after the winter solstice on December 21. Each year the New Year in China falls on a different date than on the Gregorian calendar. The dates usually range sometime between January 21 and February 20.
Why is it called the Spring Festival?
Even though it is winter, the Chinese New Year is popularly known as the Spring Festival in China. Because it starts from the Beginning of Spring (the first of the twenty-four terms in coordination with the changes of Nature), it marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring.
The Spring Festival marks a new year on the lunar calendar and represents the desire for a new life.
Legend of the Origin of Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year is steeped with stories and myths. One of the most popular legends is about the mythical beast Nian (Year). He ate livestock, crops, and even people on the eve of a new year.
To prevent Nian from attacking people and causing destruction, people put food at their doors for Nian.
It’s said that a wise old man figured out that Nian was scared of loud noises (firecrackers) and the color red. So, people put red lanterns and red scrolls on their windows and doors to stop Nian from coming inside. Crackling bamboo (later replaced by firecrackers) was lit to scare Nian away.
Many countries do not follow the Gregorian Calendar to celebrate New Year’s. That holiday is often based on lunar cycles and doesn’t necessarily fall on January 1. The Persian New Year in Iran, for instance, is determined by the Northern Hemisphere’s vernal equinox. Here’s a guide to New Years’ celebrations in 2016:
A moon calendar, or more commonly called a lunar calendar, is easy to define. It’s a calendar that follows the monthly cycles of the phases of the moon. It’s one of the oldest calendars in the world that creates lunar months, also known as synodic months. Don’t get caught up in the complicated terminology. A lunar month is simply one that occurs between two successive syzygies, such as new moons and full moons.
Although solar calendars, which are determined by the solar and have influenced the Gregorian Calendar, lunar calendars were essential. And, there can impact can still be felt today.
For example, each lunation is approximately 291⁄2 days (29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, 3 seconds, or 29.530588 days). Because of this, it helped determine where each month alternates between 29 and 30 days. The word month is derived from the word moon.
Additionally, ancient civilizations used the phases of the moon to help identify the seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter). Since each season has three full moons, this guided them in knowing when to schedule vital activities like harvesting and hunting.
Today, the moon calendar is used for ritual purposes, as opposed to official business. Easter, Ramadan, Rosh Hashanah, and the Chinese New Year are just a handful of holidays that rely on the lunar calendar.
Again, on average, there are 29.53 between each phase of the moon. How was this figure determined? Well, some incredibly smart folks figured out a long time ago that a new moon appears every 29.53 days. It should be noted. However, that does vary just slightly. Some months it’s 28 days while others can be 30.
The 13 Moon 28-day synchronometer is a harmonic timespace matrix. It takes the moon 28 days to orbit the Earth; it makes this orbit 13 times each year. The standard of measure is the 28-day cycle, called a moon, because it is the median between the 29.5-day synodic cycle of the moon (new moon to new moon) and the 27.1-day sidereal cycle of the moon. Hence, it is a measure of Earth’s solar orbit using the 28-day lunar standard. This creates a perfect orbital measure of 13 moons of 28 days, totaling 364 days, or 52 perfect weeks of 7 days each. Because the 365th day is no day of the moon or week at all, it is known as the “day out of time” – a day to celebrate peace through culture and time is art!
“The Thirteen Moon calendar is an evolutionary tool to assist humanity in the unprecedented act of uniting itself on one issue central to its complete well-being: time. The harmonic convergence of humanity on this one issue, combined with the inescapable order, perfection and simplicity of following the 13 Moon calendar will lift the species as a simultaneous whole into the galactic timing frequency of 13:20.”
In the 13 Moon calendar the names of the 13 moons correspond to the thirteen galactic tones of creation. Each of the 13 moons is saturated with meaning and altogether they form a whole vision sequence of cosmic order. Each year also serves as a planetary service wavespell. Before we introduce the names of the thirteen moons, please consider the meanings of the 12 months of the Gregorian calendar:
January is the God of the Doorway.
February is an obscure reference to a type of entrails used in a form of divination.
March is named after Mars, the God of War.
April and May are named after obscure floral goddesses of the springtime.
June is named after Juno, the wife of Jupiter.
July is named after Julius Caesar.
August is named after Augustus Caesar. August used to be the month called Sextile, which means 6, and Augustus Caesar figured that if Julius had a month named after him, then Augustus also wanted a month named after himself. So he changed Sextile to August and at that time it only had 30 days, February had 29, so he took the 29th day from February and added it to August so it would have 31 just like Julius did with July.
September means 7 (“sept”) but is the ninth month.
October means 8, but is the 10th month.
November, which means 9, is the 11th month.
December, the 12th month, means 10.
In the 13 Moon calendar, the meaning of each of the 13 moons corresponds to that particular number frequency having three key words. These numbers are known as the thirteen galactic tones of creation that together form the cosmology of movement. These 13 Moons can be put into the format of a wavespell:

The reason Zionists have the full support of European and US leaders is because the genocidal drive to ‘exterminate all the brutes’ is embedded deep in their psyches.

This is the genocidal practice of settler-colonialism, dating back at least as far as Bartolome de las Casas in his A Short Account of the Destruction of the Indies (1552). In it, he documented for posterity the vicious brutality of the Spanish, butchering “savage Indians” in an orgy of violence. Israelis are doing the same to the Palestinians.
In North and South America, Australia, Asia and Africa, European settler-colonialists have left behind the evidence of their psychotic genocidal practices.
The European transatlantic slave trade may have halved the population of Africa, some historians believe. The US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many African colonies were all built on the systematic extermination, displacement and internment of the original inhabitants.
In the Israeli settler-colonialism now on violent display in Gaza and the rest of Palestine, European colonialism is living up to its murderous infamy and has returned to the global stage with a vengeance.
For decades, scholars of European colonialism have been working hard to document, archive and connect these episodes of the premeditated mass murder of native people around the globe.
But such painstaking scholarship has been unnecessary in Gaza and the West Bank. For there, the barbarity of the Israeli army and the settlers has been on full display on social media, and in the mainstream media in the global south, for anyone who cares to look for themselves.
Israel has put the entire history of Euro-American settler-colonialism and its genocidal instincts on full global display.
While the western media works tirelessly and shamelessly to whitewash Israel’s murderous activities – offering “alternative facts”, demonising Palestinians, valorising Israelis, and sanitising Zionism to assure the world that Israel is “the most moral army” the globe has ever seen – the world at large has been liberated from their pernicious journalism. (Israel’s war on Gaza encapsulates the entire history of European colonialism byHamid Dabashi )
Considering, then, most potent lord, the evils and harm, the perditions and ruin —the equals or likes of which, never were men imagined capable of doing — considering, as I say, those evils which as a man of fifty years’ and more experience, being in those lands present, I have seen committed upon those so many and such great kingdoms, or better said, that entire vast and new world of the Indies — lands conceded and given in trust by God and His Church to the king and queen of Castile, to rule and govern them, convert them to belief in Christ and the Holy Catholic Church, and give them to prosper temporally and spiritually—, this subject was not able to contain himself from supplicating with Your Majesty, most importunely, that Your Majesty not concede such licence nor allow those terrible things that the tyrants did invent, pursue, and have committed against those peaceable, humble, and meek Indian peoples, who offend no person. . . . “Zionism is an inheritor of all the worst tendencies of racialized systems of exclusion and ideologies of exclusion that exist and continue to exist in Europe,” Abdaljawad explains.
“And now not only is Zionism an inheritor of these ideologies, it’s also the place where new racialized systems of control, exclusion are created and then exported to the Empire.”
Abdaljawad further explains how European guilt over the Holocaust influences its contemporary support for Israeli crimes through an intricate politics of debt.
“The Germans, and perhaps the Europeans as a collective, are paying back the Jews for the crimes they committed against the Jews,” Abdaljawad says.
“Embedded within this notion of backing the state of Israel, and its existence and persistence in Palestine, and justifying even the existence of the German nation through it, is that through that we will actually pay our debt. And this is an unpayable debt.”
He also examines how the construction of the Holocaust as standing above all other crimes actually facilitates Western and especially German support for the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
The “memory of the Holocaust has been created as something that is so unique, so singular, that nothing else can match it … ever again,” Abdaljawad argues. “In a way that also allows the crimes that are committed in Palestine to always be diluted,” with the perpetrators and their supporters using this singular construction of the Holocaust as a shield to absolve themselves.

The sniper is like a lone onlooker who inspects from the shadows. He enjoys the detachment from his subjects. Akin to a spectator witnessing a couple’s squabble, he briefly perceives them as mirror images of his own petty disputes with his lover. We are all distant observers at times, casually watching with delight a stranger in a café or noting a neighbor’s late arrival. The sniper’s first pleasure is the pleasure that distance allows.
Yet, the sniper’s kinship with his target ends where his livelier role begins. With chilling precision, he selects his mark, keenly attuned to the impending kill. In his imposition, he finds dark pleasure, as he stubbornly cosplays the Angel of Death. Despite his role within a rigid military hierarchy, he singularly claims credit for his actions, convinced of his unique artistry and the mastery of his craft. Like a poet who relishes in obscurity and seclusion, the sniper thrives on the stories of others, while remaining on the spectator-God bench. Returning to the sanctum of the barracks, the euphoria starts to erode, and perhaps only then does he contemplate the justification for his performance. Are his targets less than human or merely foes? Could they be mere skeletons lacking souls? Sometimes, the mere pleasure of a successful hit surpasses the need for queries or moral reckoning.

Nearly a decade ago, a sniper’s bullet colonized my flesh, an intimate invasion where the cold metal kissed my ankle. There was a perverse fortune in locking eyes with my assailant, witnessing the elation in his act and his casual high-five to his fellow soldier boasting of a successful knockout—such a strange, dark mirror to the man’s face. His delight was a stark revelation, and my smile was almost a rejoinder to his elation, a reaction to the eeriness of my almost-killer. The bullet announced its approach buzzing in the air before bursting my skin, a sound that declared its intent with creepy precision. In that suspended moment, the rules of Israel’s open-fire regulation were crystalized to a singular point of focus: my lower body. During those years, Israel emphasized maiming rather than killing. Marked for the hit, I became a fatal note in a symphony of triviality, I was then the hunted “human animal” at the end of an unwavering grip of a youthful soldier, too generous for the rifle’s embrace. By some twist of mercy or oversight, I was spared the “upper hit.” Watch the full interview

Far right Israeli finance minister Bezalel Smotrich told Israel’s Army Radio on Saturday that there will be an exodus of Palestinians and instead Israelis “will live in the Gaza Strip”.
We will not allow a situation in which two million people live there. If there are 100,000 to 200,000 Arabs living in Gaza, the discussion about the day after will be completely different.
I’m for completely changing the reality in Gaza, having a conversation about settlements in the Gaza Strip… We’ll need to rule there for a long time… If we want to be there militarily, we need to be there in a civilian fashion.

The word “Sicario” finds its origins in Latin, particularly derived from the Latin term “Sicarius,” signifying “assassin” or “dagger-man.” In ancient Rome, the Sicarii, the plural form of Sicarius, were a faction of Jewish zealots and terrorists who operated during the 1st century AD. They were notorious for their secretive and violent methods, which involved employing concealed daggers, known as “sicae,” to eliminate Roman officials and collaborators.
Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus according to the New Testament, was believed by some to be a sicarius.

Kill the goddess.
The Hebrew Goddess Asherah
Long ago, in the ancient Near East, people once worshiped a goddess called Asherah. In Israel, the religion was very similar to that of nearby Canaan, and also to that of Egypt. The Israelites worshiped Elohim, his consort Asherah, as well as a pantheon, long before the name of Yahweh was revealed to Moses.
The Bible documents how Judaism railed against her and called her evil for centuries, attempting to eradicate the goddess religion and the portion of society that followed her. They went as far as to write into the Bible how the Hebrew God, Yahweh, killed his wife. After that, with the beginning of Christianity, they finally erased her.
If you look at the Christian Bible today, you will see places where the name Asherah has been re-translated as a “sacred grove of trees” instead of even using the name of the goddess. However, in the Jewish Bible, her name still appears.
The most gruesome and telling story, though, is in the book of Zechariah, and tells about how Yahweh killed his wife.
5 Then the angel who was talking with me came forward and said, “Look up and see what’s coming.”
6 “What is it?” I asked.
He replied, “It is a basket for measuring grain, and it’s filled with the sins of everyone throughout the land.”
7 Then the heavy lead cover was lifted off the basket, and there was a woman sitting inside it. 8 The angel said, “The woman’s name is Wickedness,” and he pushed her back into the basket and closed the heavy lid again.
9 Then I looked up and saw two women flying toward us, gliding on the wind. They had wings like a stork, and they picked up the basket and flew into the sky.
10 “Where are they taking the basket?” I asked the angel.
11 He replied, “To the land of Babylonia, where they will build a temple for the basket. And when the temple is ready, they will set the basket there on its pedestal.”
(Zechariah 5:5–11)
Fucking Judaism and Christianity hate the woman:
The Goddess is also seen in the figure of Eve herself, the last figure in our trinity of tree-serpent-Goddess. In the Eden story she is given the epithet “the mother of all living,” an epithet like those given to various ancient near Eastern goddesses including Siduri, Ninti, and Mami in Mesopotamia and Asherah in Syria-Palestine. Eve’s actual name in Hebrew (ḥawwâ), besides meaning life (for which goddesses were traditionally responsible), is also likely wordplay on an old Canaanite word for serpent (ḥeva).
The name of the goddess Tannit (the Phoenician version of Asherah) means “serpent lady,” and she had the epithet “Lady Ḥawat” (meaning “Lady of Life”), which is derived from the same Canaanite word as Eve’s name (ḥawwâ). At the end of the story, Eve is punished by having to give birth in pain, whereas goddesses in the ancient Near East gave birth painlessly.
Further, in Genesis 4:1, Eve needs Yahweh’s help in order to become fertile and conceive, a reversal of the Goddess’ power and function. (Indeed, Eve is even created from Adam!) Adam’s only fault was “listening” to Eve in order to attain divine qualities. Here the Yahwist may be alluding to Goddess veneration, saying not to worship her. This seems to be one reason for the punishment consisting of woman’s subjugation to man in Genesis 3:16. (Source)
[Living in the 23rd century BC (approximately 2285 – 2250 BC), Enheduanna was the high priestess of the Temple of Sumer.] Enheduanna:
“is credited with creating the paradigms of poetry, psalms, and prayers used throughout the ancient world… Her compositions, though only rediscovered in modern times, remained models of petitionary prayer for even longer. Through the Babylonians, they influenced and inspired the prayers and psalms of the Hebrew Bible and the Homeric hymns of Greece. Through them, faint echoes of Enheduanna, the first named literary author in history, can even be heard in the hymnody of the early Christian church.”
The problem of evil is a touchstone of any religion. From our direct confrontation with evil results suffering, and thus endless questions about the meaning of life. That is why all religions have to give a proper answer regarding the origin, nature and end of evil.
There are three major religious alternatives in explaining evil, stated by the pantheistic, dualistic and monotheistic religions. Pantheistic religions regard evil as ultimately unreal. Human suffering is a product of spiritual ignorance gathered in previous lives and distributed in the present one according to the dictates of karma. In the dualistic religions, good and evil are two eternal and rival principles. Neither has created the other one and each acts according to its own nature. In the monotheistic religions, evil has a personal identity. Its source is a being that has fallen from an initial good status as a result of misusing freedom of will. Let us analyze these perspectives and see to what extent they are compatible with one another.
The Nobodies by Eduardo Galeano
Fleas dream of buying themselves a dog, and the nobodies dream of escaping poverty: that one magical day good luck will suddenly rain down on them–will rain down in buckets. But good luck doesn’t rain down yesterday, today, tomorrow, or ever. Good luck doesn’t even fall in a fine drizzle, no matter how hard the nobodies summon it, even if their left hand is tickling, or if they begin the new day with their right foot, or start the new year with a change of brooms.
The nobodies: nobody’s children, owners of nothing. The nobodies: the no ones, the nobodied, running like rabbits, dying through life, screwed every which way.
Who are not, although they are.

Who don’t have religions, but superstitions.
Who don’t create art, but handicrafts.
Who don’t have culture, but folklore.
Who are not human beings, but human resources.
Who do not have faces, but arms.
Who do not have names, but numbers.
Who do not appear in the history of the world, but in the police blotter of the local paper.
The nobodies, who are worth less than the bullet that kills them.

Oh, the early welfare settler-colonial-murdering cheats: Throughout this early homesteading period, conflicts between native tribes and white settlers set the stage for the final confinement of Indians on reservations. The Pawnee, the Sioux, the Cheyenne, the Omaha … all of the tribes were eventually forced to live on reservations either outside of Nebraska or on small plots of land within the territory. The Omaha, Winnebago and Santee Sioux settled in northeast Nebraska. The Pawnee, Ponca, Cheyenne, Oto and Missouri tribes were all removed to Indian Territory in what is now Oklahoma.
By 1878, the Lakota, Brule and Ogalala Sioux had been moved from their Nebraska agencies to reservations in South Dakota. So, life for the Native American on the Great Plains in the mid to late 1800s was one of increasing conflict with the white man for space, loss of their traditional lands, and the gradual destruction of their way of life.

The insurers argued that McKinsey worked with Purdue Pharma – the maker of OxyContin – to create and employ aggressive marketing and sales tactics to overcome doctors’ reservations about the highly addictive drugs. Insurers said that forced them to pay for prescription opioids rather than safer, non-addictive and lower-cost drugs, including over-the-counter pain medication. They also had to pay for the opioid addiction treatment that followed.
From 1999 to 2021, nearly 280,000 people in the U.S. died from overdoses of prescription opioids, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. Insurers argued that McKinsey worked with Purdue Pharma even after the extent of the opioid crisis was apparent.
The settlement is the latest in a years-long effort to hold McKinsey accountable for its role in the opioid epidemic. In February 2021, the company agreed to pay nearly $600 million to U.S. states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. In September, the company announced a separate, $230 million settlement agreement with school districts and local governments.
When Pete Buttigieg Was One of McKinsey’s ‘Whiz Kids’/ What was Buttigieg doing at McKinsey for two and a half years? How many people had lost their jobs because of him? How shady was the work conveniently hidden behind a standard McKinsey nondisclosure agreement?
After graduating from Harvard and Oxford, Buttigieg went to work at McKinsey from 2007 and was there for about three years until he quit in 2010. While on the campaign trail, he often highlights a lot of parts of his bio, but this isn’t one of them.
Michael Forsythe at the New York Times recently laid out some of the basic things we know about Buttigieg’s time at the firm, including that he spent time in Iraq and Afghanistan for his job and that in his autobiography he says he also worked on “energy efficiency research” for unnamed clients. McKinsey told the Times Buttigieg worked with “several different clients” at the firm but wouldn’t specify the work.
Pete Buttigieg says he worked for McKinsey from “a safe house in Iraq.” Who did he work for? What did he do? How does that work inform his understanding of the region?
These are reasonable questions to ask someone who wants to be president.

“The point here is that the pathogens are going to be there,” Jutla said. “Pathogens are going to be in the water system, but at this point, it is more likely that they will be infectious than not infectious.
“The idea of how the antimicrobial resistance genes are going to be present—they may be transmitted more aggressively during flood events, that is something of a concern and we have no idea how that will happen.”
Boy oh boy, how many hundreds of cities will be in need of a new Pete’s consulting talents to spin death by drinking into assisted humane suicide?
Then this green democratic party bumbling fucking fool: Meet America’s Newest Oil Trader Extraordinaire: Joe Biden. Oil prices have sputtered since the U.S. began selling its stockpiles. Head of state. Commander in chief. Oil-trading whale?
Ahh, that inflation. Food prices doubled (100percent). So, in Oregon, electric rates are going up 18 percent. You know, that Biden-economics of 4 percent Yellen Zionist First Inflation coming from the Wailing Wall White House!
So, another and another schizophrenic story while overdose deaths are skyrocketing and EV charging stations are skyrocketing and while state highway funds are plummenting because of the regressive gas tax revunes plummeting because of EVs, and we have the US’s largest welfare Queen, DoD, looking for more shekels: “One of the great things about EVs is that they can save money. Nobody’s going to save money buying the highest-end EVs, obviously, but we’re to the point where budget EVs have a lower total cost of operation than comparable ICE Vehicles. Why? Because ICE vehicles need refilled with an expensive consumable liquid, while EVs can be recharged using cheap energy that can come from a variety of sources (fossil fuels, nuclear, renewables).
But, militaries around the world are finding that they’ve got an even bigger cost problem that can be fixed by going electric. High-end weapons that protect free people from terror attacks often use a very, very expensive consumable that can’t economically compete with what terror groups are throwing at them. But, going electric can turn this situation around and take the economic advantage away from terrorists.
Oh, those Oppen-Monster-Heimers! Look at here: More baby Pete’s opting out of uniformed disservices — Global War on Terror fatigue? Call up the Jewish State of Jewish Supremacy Israel. They will get the boys and girls on ship and boots on the ground ASAP.
Much has been written about the Defense Department’s flagging efforts to address the growing challenge of military recruitment in recent years. Since 2021—GWOT’s apparent end, bannered by the ignominious withdrawal from Afghanistan—DoD has consistently missed its recruiting goals across its service branches, resulting in the lowest recruiting numbers seen since 1999. It should be noted that, in every era of America’s emergence from conflict, recruiting numbers always shrink amid demobilization. The post-GWOT era, however, carries greater risk than before because of the ghost that hangs over the enterprise.
The Army missed its recruitment goal for 2022 by more than ten thousand, while the Air Force fell short of its goals across active and reserve components by just over two thousand. The Navy was approximately seven thousand recruits short. The Marines and Space Force are by far the smallest service branches with the lowest targets, but the Corps barely met its goal in 2022 while incoming Space Force guardians were short on new officers despite crossover from other services to specific roles and positions. For 2023, signs indicate it will be worse yet in terms of meeting recruitment goals.
Here’s a great marketing lie, the big lie, that the world goes better with Green Pornography — The world’s longest land and subsea interconnector – between the UK and Denmark – started commercial operations today. That’s UK, with a dying health services, flooded metros, food insecurity, love of AzovNaziZioLensky and bombing apartment buildings, but they got the connection, of course, not counting the embodied oil energy to fucking do it!
The new Viking Link electricity interconnector has a capacity of 1.4 gigawatts (GW) and stretches for 475 miles under land and sea. It joins the Bicker Fen substation in Lincolnshire with the Revsing substation in southern Jutland, Denmark.
High wind generation outputs in the UK and Denmark are unlikely to happen simultaneously, so surplus energy will be transmitted through the interconnector to where the level of demand is higher.
The £1.7 billion ($2.16 billion) project is a joint venture between the UK’s National Grid and Danish national transmission system operator Energinet. National Grid says that the world’s longest land and subsea interconnector can transport enough electricity for up to 2.5 million UK homes, bringing over £500 million ($637 million) of cumulative savings for UK consumers over the next decade, thanks to cheaper imported power from Denmark.
Initially, Viking Link will be operating at a capacity of 800 megawatts (MW) before increasing over time to 1.4 GW over the coming year.
In its first year of operation, Viking Link is expected to save around 600,000 tonnes of carbon emissions – equivalent to taking roughly 280,000 cars off the road.

Scientists have just genetically modified cherry tomatoes to make them easier to grow, and the future applications could include making them more viable for indoor farming and even space travel, their creators say.
The scientists, working out of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, used a gene-editing technology called CRISPR to make changes to three key genes within the cherry tomatoes’ DNA. Two of those genes are responsible for when the plant stops growing and starts flowering and fruiting. The third controls the length of the plant’s stem.
The end result is a more compact cherry tomato plant that grows in clusters, like grapes, and also more quickly than unmodified cherry tomatoes, in only around 40 days. These changes make the tomatoes easier to grow in smaller, controlled spaces, like indoor farms, urban rooftop farms, and even spaceships. The scientists published their results in a paper in Nature Biotechnology.Scientists have just genetically modified cherry tomatoes to make them easier to grow, and the future applications could include making them more viable for indoor farming and even space travel, their creators say.
Creators. I like that, no, Oppen-Monster-Heimers as CREATORS.
Finally, the supremacist above, the multimillionaire Jewish racist (three air sickness bags needed just to listen to his bigoted monologues) gets it sort of right, like that proverbial broken clock, and then, pow, media scum, PR stenographers for the corporations, go after him. I have taught college so long that in 1983 and 1993 and 2003, students actually found great articles on vivisection and the overuse of animals in horrific experiments. Now? Main-scum media goes after Maher for what?
As host of the HBO show “Real Time with Bill Maher,” he has a responsibility to avoid misrepresenting scientific research to his audience.
His unscientific views aren’t just fringe. Polls reveal that support for the use of animals in science has steadily declined. But as expected, those with scientific knowledge are more supportive of animal research.

At Smithfield, like most industrial pig farms, the abuse and torture primarily comes not from rogue employees violating company procedures. Instead, the cruelty is inherent in the procedures themselves. One of the most heinous industry-wide practices is one that DxE activists encountered in abundance at Circle Four: gestational crating.
Where that technique is usedOpens in a new tab, pigs are placed in a crate made of iron bars that is the exact length and width of their bodies, so they can do nothing for their entire lives but stand on a concrete floor, never turn around, never see any outdoors, never even see their tails, never move more than an inch. That was the condition in which the activists found the rotting piglet corpses and the two ailing piglets they rescued.Female pigs give birth in this condition. They are put in so-called farrowing crates when they give birth, and their piglets run underneath them to suckle and are often trampled to death. The sows are bred repeatedly this way until their fertility declines, at which point they are slaughtered and turned into meat.
The pigs are so desperate to get out of their crates that they often spend weeks trying to bite through the iron bars until their gums gush blood, bash their heads against the walls, and suffer a disease in which their organs end up mangledOpens in a new tab in the wrong places, from the sheer physical trauma of trying to escape from a tiny space or from acute anxiety (called “organ torsion”).
But in the U.S. states where factory farms actually thrive, these devices continue to be widely used, which means a vast majority of pigs in the U.S. are subjected to them. The suffering, pain, and death these crates routinely cause were in ample evidence at Smithfield Foods, as accounts, photos, and videos from DxE demonstrate.
Herr Fauci, man. The NIH funded to the tune of $1.8m – saw 44 beagle puppies undergo a ‘cordectomy,’ which saw their vocal cords cut to stop them barking.

NOTE: Amazing how we can’t get our shit together — dirty water, addiction, no food for kiddos, 200 percent inflation, no health care, shit jobs, broken minds — but we can help shit holes like Ukraine and Israel stir up some deadly shit in those occupied lands.
Oh, so, how many Jewish people do you know who fully support the end of Israel? Is that Country Called a Jewish Army up against the whole world? Chant, now: “Everybody’s against us. Everybody’s anti-Semitic.”
Syllogistic reasoning — if the entire world is anti-Semitic, maybe it’s because these guys and gals and LGBTQA+ pink washers are doing something immorally wrong . . .

It’s the fucking Blinken-Hillary-Biden-Obama Libya Principle — Antony is a fucking war criminal of the highest order: Blinken supported the 2011 military intervention in Libya and the supply of weapons to Syrian terrorist rebels.
[Background: Biden and Blinken had sent $14 billion to Israel to slaughter Palestinian children, babies, and women in Gaza. They also sent military aids exceeding $124 billion to assist Israel to destroy the entire Gaza. ]

And it is about his tribalism, his Jewishness, his connection to Judaism. Blinken!
Antony Blinken tells Congress he made second emergency determination covering $147.5m sale for equipment, “Given the urgency of Israel’s defensive needs.” Blinken made a similar decision on 9 December, to approve the sale to Israel of nearly 14,000 rounds of tank ammunition worth more than $106m.
So, hundreds of millions for fucking shells, dudes and dudettes, and you are not sick to your stomachs? You do not see this as a Jewish Project from the Situation Room in the Wailing Wall White House? Then you are lobotomized. Truly anti-semitic.

75 years have come and gone, and there is a nation still deprived of its land and of its most fundamental rights. Still occupied, oppressed, killed. Our people have outlasted the massacres before and will outlast them again, but those killed will not be brought back to life, those scarred will never truly heal. The impact of the Israeli massacres in Gaza will be felt for decades to come, for the Palestinian people who bear the wounds in their flesh, but also in our region and across the world. And if hope is not restored and freedom does not prevail, no one can predict the next chapter of this tragedy but everyone knows it will be worst.
As the world welcomes a new year, the massacres in Palestine continue, the injustice continues, the suffering continues. How many Palestinian generations will have to suffer before finally being able to live in freedom and dignity and peace in our ancestral land? We want to stop seeing our Nakba grow, and finally be able to see our children grow. — Palestinian Ambassador Majed Bamya: “What Do You Say on Behalf of a People Enduring Genocide?”
And, alas, old thinker Ralph has another guest on his show attempting to cover up the huge success of Judaism funding the Army with an Occupied Country, Israel. It is absurd. Zionism is Judaism, of another mother or father.
Forwarded this email?
Ralph welcomes Rev. Dr. Donald Wagner, National Program Director of Friends of Sabeel—North America, to discuss the ongoing violence in Palestine, the influence that Christian Zionists have on America’s Israel policy, and the religious organizations that have refused to collaborate with Israel’s modern-day Crusader State.
Rev. Dr. Donald Wagner recently retired as the National Program Director of Friends of Sabeel—North America, a nonprofit Christian ecumenical organization seeking justice and peace in the Holy Land through education, advocacy, and nonviolent action. Prior to that position, Rev. Dr. Wagner was a professor of Middle Eastern Studies at North Park University (Chicago) where he also directed the Center for Middle Eastern Studies. He has written several books, including Anxious for Armageddon: a Critique of Christian Zionism; Dying in the Land of Promise: Palestine and Palestinian Christianity from Pentecost-2000; Glory to God in the Lowest: Journeys to an Unholy Land.
I believe Netanyahu’s endgame is to force the Palestinians out, kill as many as possible. and then expel them into Gaza. Avi Dichter, who is a cabinet member, said, “We are rolling out the Gaza Nakba”. [The Nakba was the] 1948-49 ethnic cleansing operation. So it’s clear what they’re doing, and the Biden administration has rehabilitated a criminal in Netanyahu and enabled all this to happen.
—Rev. Dr. Donald Wagner
One of the few things that gives me hope after working on this issue for 45 years is the power of the young American Jewish and global Jewish activists. They’re not buying the Netanyahu line. They range from being embarrassed to just angry about what Netanyahu, the A.D.L., and A.I.P.A.C have done to Judaism in blending it with Zionism. So these are the prophetic movements that are taking us back to authentic Judaism and the Torah, which is based on justice—tikkun olam [which means] healing of the world. — Rev. Dr. Donald Wagner
Clarence Thomas is really the Donald Trump of the Supreme Court. I think they are reaching a point—the six-justice majority— of getting a huge backlash… I dont call for impeachment of Justices very easily. But when in case after case these Justices come down on the side of artificial entities called corporations—which are never mentioned in the Constitution— against real human beings—whether they’re workers, or victims of different oppressions, or looted consumers… that is a severe ground for collective impeachment proceedings before the U.S. Senate. — Ralph Nader
This bullshit Christian Zionism has ZERO to do with the freaks, the fundementalists, the end times pukes, the Christian Sicarios having anything to do with Jewish Death vis-a-vis Israel!
The Israeli military is notorious for deliberately targeting and murdering children. Chris Hedges wrote about that in his famous article “A Gaza Diary” from 22 years ago. He described how he had been in war zones and witnessed atrocities before, but until he went to Gaza, he had never seen soldiers barking out obscene insults over their bullhorns in order to lure Palestinian children within range of their gun sights so that they could be shot for sport. And he witnessed that happen to several Palestinian children. It’s a common occurrence. The sport of shooting children is a regular part of what the Israeli Defense Forces do. And they never face any kind of justice. Because it’s open season on Palestinian childfen.
The Israeli Defense Forces hand out t-shirts that say, “one shot, two kills,” and they show a pregnant Palestinian woman with a target on her belly.
This is fucking 22 years ago, when everything was A-Okay with Funding Everything Jewish, Everything Israel, Everything Pink and Wadi Valley Washing.
“Come on, dogs,” the voice booms in Arabic. “Where are all the dogs of Khan Younis? Come! Come!” I stand up. I walk outside the hut. The invective from the Israeli soldier continues to spew: “Son of a bitch!” “Son of a whore!” “Your mother’s a cunt!”
The boys dart in small packs up the sloping dunes to the electric fence that separates the camp from the Jewish settlement. They lob rocks toward two armored jeeps parked on top of the dune and mounted with loudspeakers. Three ambulances line the road below the dunes in anticipation of what is to come.
A percussion grenade explodes. The boys, most no more than ten or eleven years old, scatter, running clumsily across the heavy sand. They descend out of sight behind a sandbank in front of me. There are no sounds of gunfire. The soldiers shoot with silencers. The bullets from the M-16 rifles tumble end over end through the children’s slight bodies. Later, in the hospital, I will see the destruction: the stomachs ripped out, the gaping holes in limbs and torsos. (source)
A Gaza Dairy, of course, lambasted by the Jews in USA and Israel and Harper’s had to (sic) in their fucking dimwit wisdom denigrate the realities Hedges wrote about. Here, read it in full:
Gaza Diary, Hedges: Monday afternoon, June 18, Khan Younis
Fahdi Abu Ammouna, thirteen, lies on a bed in the al-Amal Hospital, his feet propped up on a pillow. Dried blood covers the sheets. He says that some of his rocks hit the army jeep, though I doubt he or any of his friends could throw that far past the electric fence.
“The soldier said over the loudspeaker that those who wanted to live should run,” he says, “and those who wanted to die should stay. Then they swore at us. They said everyone who lives in Khan Younis is a dog. I started to run. I was shot. I never heard any shots. The bullet went through both of my legs. I crawled to the ambulance. It was the first time I went.”
His mother, seated next to him and wearing a black head scarf, slowly shakes her head.
“He goes every day,” she says softly. “I sent my older son to bring him home. And he was not home five minutes before he went back. I tell the boys it is useless, throwing stones and becoming a martyr will not make the Israeli leave. My sister has lost a son. My brother has lost a son. One of my uncles was killed and a cousin is dead. I tell them to look at the history of our struggle. All these deaths achieve nothing.”
She begins to talk about the first uprising, which led to the Oslo peace agreement. Her husband, Samir, stands in a blue shirt, white pants, and sandals at the end of the bed. He was a prisoner then in Israel. One morning Israeli soldiers burst into her two-room house in the refugee camp while she was baking bread. Her son was six months old. They turned the place upside down and threw the boy on the stove. He was severely burned. As she speaks she gently places her fingers on his small arm, now hooked up to an intravenous tube.
Before we leave, we visit the office of Dr. Mahmoud al-Madhoun, the hospital’s director. He hands us plastic bags filled with bullet fragments he has taken out of his patients. All have the dates, the types of wounds, and the names of the victims printed neatly on the outside. Of the 1,206 killed and wounded, he says, 655 were under the age of eighteen. He cannot understand why soldiers would fire at children.
“In thirty years of practice,” he says, “I have never treated a treated a patient who died after being hit by a rock.”

Press Release
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine welcomes South Africa’s filing of a lawsuit at the International Court of Justice against the Zionist entity for committing the crime of genocide and calls on everyone to follow this step to prosecute the leaders of the occupation and all those who colluded with them.
The Popular Front for the liberation of Palestine (PFLP) welcomed South Africa’s submission of a request to the International Court of Justice to institute a case against the Zionist entity for committing acts of genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The front praised the advanced positions taken by South Africa since the beginning of the aggression, whether through its political and diplomatic steps or its broad popular movement, stressing the need for these positions to be emulated by all countries of the world that stand by our people to denounce the war of Zionist genocide and take different positions from the countries involved and partners with the entity in these crimes.
The front concluded on the importance of South Africa’s step to put an end to the Zionist genocide crimes against civilians, health facilities, services and infrastructure, in order to prosecute the leaders of the Zionist occupation as war criminals in international courts for their unprecedented crimes and massacres, stressing the need for this trial to include all the leaders of countries that provided protection and cover for the Zionist entity, and supported it with money, weapons and political cover.
ain’t no pussy-footing around that topic, unless you are employed, a student, a social security recepient, a retiree, a member of a church, elected official, just someone in a group . . . .
So the Europeans created the world’s monster: Jewish values in Israel and outside — M.I.S.S.I.L.E. system: Military, Internal Security, Surveillance, Intelligence, and Law Enforcement. And it markets and sells its products and services as having been field-tested in Palestine.
Israel is revered precisely for its mastery of population–control techniques against the Palestinians, which many leaders want to emulate against dissident or minority groups within their own borders.
Many of these trips are taxpayer funded while others are privately funded. Since 2002, the Anti-Defamation League, the American Jewish Committee’s Project Interchange and the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs have paid for police chiefs, assistant chiefs and captains to train in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT).
Are you, reader, not yet “woke” on how deadly Judaism is, since Judaism is defined mostly by Israel, Israel-First, Israel-Forever mentality. Biden can call himself a “zionist”, but he is proud of a Jewish son-in-law doctor and the fact his daughters converted (sic) and now he has Jewish grandkiddos. It’s got ZERO to do with ZIONISM.
Fucking stay WOKE to the Zionist-Israeli-Jewish Palestinization of us all: The idea behind it was common within Black communities at that point — the notion that staying “woke” and alert to the deceptions of other people was a basic survival tactic. But in 2014, following the police killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, “stay woke” suddenly became the cautionary watchword of Black Lives Matter activists on the streets, used in a chilling and specific context: keeping watch for police brutality and unjust police tactics.
Yes, Woke, we all should be . . . [and forget Norman Finkelstein and his “take” on woke culture. He’s another know it all, you know what, who doesn’t know!]
Wokeness evolved around the idea of Black consciousness “waking up” to a new reality or activist framework and dates back to the early 20th century. In 1923, a collection of aphorisms and ideas by the Jamaican philosopher and social activist Marcus Garvey included the summons “Wake up Ethiopia! Wake up Africa!” as a call to globalBlack citizens to become more socially and politically conscious. A few years later, the phrase “stay woke” turned up as part of a spoken afterword in the 1938 song “Scottsboro Boys,” a protest song by Blues musician Huddie Ledbetter, a.k.a. Lead Belly. The song describes the 1931 saga of a group of nine Black teenagers in Scottsboro, Arkansas, who were accused of raping two white women.
I am a revolutionary, a Cuban-Iranian-Venezuelan-Nicaraguan-Palestinian-Yemeni-First Nations-Indigenous Believer, in my heart, but fuck no, I am tired of the Wailing Wall White House scum — even midgets like Yellen (monster) — telling me, a non Jew, non Zionist, non Judaic, non Israeli, non supporter of that religion, especially Orthodox and Secular versions of Judaism, to pony up tens of thousands of dollars or more in my lifetime to pay for these criminals.
Part of Israel’s ace in the hole, according to Jeff Halper, is its development of a formidable weapons industry that allows it to supply high-tech weapons to countries around the world for the purpose of population control.
Israel is at the cutting edge in the development of surveillance satellites, weaponized and surveillance drones, Artificial Intelligence (AI) target identification systems, spyware gadgets and crowd control and cyberwarfare technologies, which it sells around the world.
Statement: The brutal Israeli offensive is not merely an act of sheer vengeance against Hamas, but a genocidal campaign aimed at nothing less than displacing the people of Gaza so as to perpetuate its colonization of the entirety of Palestine. It is a campaign to liquidate any form of resistance. Israel has opposed any attempt to reach a just, inclusive and democratic settlement between our peoples. It has only endeavored, systematically and relentlessly, to extend its regime of apartheid from the River to the Sea.
The Palestinians have never been at war with Jews; they have been resisting a unilateral settler colonial project whose declared aim is the take-over of their homeland, the transformation of Palestine into Israel and the erasure of the Palestinian people, its culture and heritage. As in the liberation struggle of other colonized peoples, Palestinians have been forced by Zionism/Israel to fight for their national rights and freedom.
We, the peoples of the world, must speak out now in solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza. Let’s not forget, however, Palestinians throughout historic Palestine who at this moment are also facing ethnic cleansing and ruthless repression; 50 Palestinians have been killed, many by settlers, in the past week alone.
Most urgently, we must appeal in our masses to our governments, complicit as they are in these crimes against humanity:
STOP THE ISRAELI GROUND ATTACK ON GAZA!
STOP THE EXPULSION OF THE GAZANS, THE SECOND NAKBA!
BRING IN IMMEDIATE HUMANITARIAN AID!
END ISRAELI COLONIZATION & APARTHEID!
FOR PALESTINIAN FREEDOM! FOR A DEMOCRATIC STATE FOR ALL!
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz quoted the response of his lawyer, Avigdor Feldman, to this latest move by the Israeli state as
“a record low … in its persecution and abuse of Mordechai Vanunu … I’m ashamed, and whoever filed this indictment should be even more ashamed.”
Feldman said the charges are being made in preparation for Vanunu’s latest attempt to challenge an international travel ban, which expired recently but was extended by a temporary court order.
This latest development (May 2016) is illustrative of a pattern of persecution Vanunu has faced since he was released from prison 12 years ago after serving an 18-year sentence for disclosing information on Israel’s secret nuclear capacity in 1986. Since his release from prison in 2004, Vanunu and his lawyers have fought without success to end a series of cruel and unnecessary restrictions which prevent him from leaving Israel, communicating with foreigners – including journalists – without the prior agreement of the authorities, entering or approaching foreign embassies, and participating in internet chats, and which require that he notify the police if he moves residence.

A REAL CEASEFIRE IS NOT THE END, IT IS JUST THE BEGINNING.
A ceasefire will NOT:
Eradicate Hamas
Bring about a just peace for Palestinians and Israelis
Completely isolate extremist Israelis seeking to take advantage of the current “opportunity” to get rid of more Palestinians and grab more Palestinian land
Repatriate all hostages/detainees (And no, it’s highly unlikely that the atrocities we’re witnessing against the people of Gaza did anything to incentivize the release of hostages we’ve seen, as some are now trying to claim. Part of Hamas strategy from day one was to draw Israel into this precise scenario. Even if there were a world in which what we are witnessing is somehow moral or legal, which it is not, arguments that it is effective are specious at best.)
Hold anyone accountable for the vile war crimes we have witnessed on 10/7—or before, or after.
Put the lid on out-of-control antisemitism, Islamophobia and rampant anti-Palestinianism (which is a rarely named driver of horrific violence against Palestinians everywhere—after all, if we’re not seen as humans, why should we have human rights? The horrific shooting of 3 Palestinian students in Vermont today is an example of this terror here at home, in of course to decades of rampant, unchecked violence against millions of civilians there.)
Chart a clear and dignified path forward for millions of suffering Gazans, who have been brutalized non-stop for 7 weeks (many if not most of whom have now have no home to return to.)
Ensure Palestinian or Israeli security for the long term. A credible political process—which today is admittedly beyond difficult to imagine—would be needed for that.
But, more importantly, a ceasefire WILL:
CONTAIN HISTORIC ATROCITIES. The last weeks in Gaza have seen more than 130 children killed per day. This is a daily death rate 10s-100s of times greater than for conflicts like Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq! More ordinance has been dropped many WEEKS since 10/7 in Gaza, one of the most densely populated areas on earth, than in Afghanistan in our heaviest YEAR of bombardment. A true ceasefire allows opportunity to prevent a historic horror from becoming even exponentially more horrific.
ALLOW A GREATER CHANCE FOR A RETURN OF ALL HOSTAGES, AND MORE PALESTINIAN DETAINEES: These negotiated exchanges are reuniting families. Despite the massive military assault on Gaza, only one Israeli hostage has been freed as a result of a military operation. No Palestinian detainees have been released this way (and, yes, hundreds of Palestinians, including hundreds of children, are often arrested and held indefinitely, without charge, or for minor charges like participating in a “political” gathering of more than 10 people, or posting messages on social media sympathetic to Palestinian suffering in Gaza.) Bringing people home safely, where they should be, will be best accomplished by a prolonged #ceasefirenow. (Remember, a ceasefire is an agreement by two parties to stop firing—and there are terms to that agreement, just like the current truce, which of course would include a return of hostages.)
PROVIDE A POSSIBILITY TO AVERT INTENSIFIED REGIONAL AND GLOBAL CRISES: The danger of this moment is that the pyromaniacs are in power. Netanyahu and those to the right of them saw Hamas rule in Gaza as a strategic ASSET. They supported Hamas—so they could divide and conquer Palestinians for Israeli extremists who want to take as much Palestinian land as possible with as few Palestinians as possible. They see this as opportunity—especially in and around Jerusalem. If this gets to Jerusalem in a big way, religion will be drawn in as an explicit driver and this will be nearly impossible to contain. This was obviously part of Hamas’ intent. Today, there is an unholy intersection of interests that want expanded conflict, including some in the Israeli cabinet who (a) want to deflect attention from their massive failure on 10/7 and (b) have ulterior motives which have for decades included getting more Palestinian land in the West Bank and Jerusalem. #Ceasefirenow allows the opportunity to put the brakes on their apocalyptic visions. This could not be more urgent.
MAKE SPACE TO CREATE AN INTERNATIONAL RESPONSE THAT WILL ACTUALLY MAKE EVERYONE SAFER: After 9/11, it took weeks before the first attack took place on Afghanistan. The U.S. didn’t invade Iraq until 2003. We made disastrous decisions. But even those were done with deliberation. Israel didn’t just respond to the ongoing threat from Hamas. But immediately undertook a scorched earth policy, within just hours of the initial attack. It fails the straight face test to imagine that immediately after a surprise attack, for which Israel had almost no intelligence, Israel was able to develop a plan to target Hamas infrastructure and leaders within HOURS. If the #ceasefire is extended, an approach that will actually protect Israeli and Palestinian security, hold all perpetrators accountable for war crimes, and finally point us to a peaceful and just resolution of the conflict can be developed. That includes actually confronting Hamas—and other extremists. There may not yet exist a clear strategy on how to do that, but the current approach is a textbook case on how NOT to do that. In fact, it’s a text book example of how to strengthen Hamas and similar ideologies. The current approach isn’t just producing unimaginable horrors; it is undermining global security for years to come. A true #ceasefire will take the matches out of the hands of pyromaniacs and allow for the development of policy that can actually rise to this moment.
Failing to extend the ceasefire WILL:
Result in even more massive human suffering, the level of which the world has rarely witnessed. (You will see these events commemorated for GENERATIONS to come.)
Endanger captive hostages.
Risk even more significant escalation in Jerusalem, the West Bank and thus regionally and perhaps even globally.
Play into the hands of regional powers and indeed China and Russia, who have not hid their glee at the U.S.’ ownership over Israel’s extreme response. (This means we’re now already in a multi-polar world, which marks a much less stable world generally and a much more dangerous world for Americans. A #ceasefirenow might allow for some corrective work.)
Fan the flames of extremism regionally and globally. Hamas’ leadership might be defeated. But its ideology will grow. Israeli extremists will gain more power and may in fact succeed with some of their stated goals of getting rid of Palestinians from Gaza and parts of the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Meanwhile, anti-Palestinianism, antisemitism and Islamophobia will only escalate in ways that will be ever harder to meaningfully combat.
Make it more difficult to attend to the needs of millions of civilians in Gaza, who already have nowhere to go.
Further divide our communities here at home, making an already polarized nation a much more unstable—and dangerous—place.
Vox = Although “woke” as a watchword was the term’s earliest known usage, it took on three primary contexts within Black communities during the 20th century: 1) slang for being literally awake; 2) slang for being suspicious of a cheating romantic partner; and 3) the original, politically charged usage of always being on the lookout for systemic injustice. In a 2017 interview with OkayPlayer, funk singer Georgia Anne Muldrow describes first hearing the term used by ’60s jazz musicians in its most literal context — as in, slang for not falling asleep.
Muldrow carried “stay woke” forward in a crucial way: She wrote and recorded an unreleased version of a song called “Master Teacher” with the refrain “I’d stay woke,” in reference to the ’60s jazz musicians of yore. Muldrow’s usage inadvertently contributed to the term’s political meaning getting a boost when, in 2008, R&B artist Erykah Badu released an updated version of “Master Teacher” on her politically themed album New Amerykah Part One (4th World War).
Even if yo baby ain’t got no money To support ya baby, I stay woke Even when the preacher tell you some lies And cheatin’ on ya mama, you stay woke Even though you go through struggle and strife To keep a healthy life, I stay woke … I have longed to stay awake A beautiful world I’m trying to find
