in that belly, the one which is the beast, we are by-products of their perverse diet of hell, murder, theft, lies, and of course, coveting thy neighbor’s child!
“There is no greater impotence in all the world like knowing you are right and that the wave of the world is wrong, yet the wave crashes upon you.” ― Norman Mailer
Almost all wars, perhaps all, are trade wars connected with some material interest. They are always disguised as sacred wars, made in the name of God, or civilization or progress. But all of them, or almost all of the wars, have been trade wars.

There is a creation story at the center of every culture. For the Nez Perce, the story of their people begins at the “Heart of the Monster.” As the story goes… A monster was eating all of the animals. Coyote fooled the monster into swallowing him. Using a set of stone knives that he had brought with him, Coyote cut apart the monster from the inside to release all of the animals that were trapped in the monster. Upon emerging from the remains of the monster, Coyote cut it up and threw the pieces all over the land, creating the Indian people who inhabit the land. Fox asked Coyote about the land around the monster, it had no people, what was he to do? As Coyote washed the blood of the monster off his hands, the drops became the Nez Perce.
And so, the monster(s) is/are the cabal(s), the money changers, the money hoarders, the arrogant data hoarders, the greedy book holders/writers, all those fucking people with happy face families and endless airline mile bonuses. They are your friends and your enemies.
Note — The case for genocide against the Jewish State of Jews in Occupied Palestine could DRAG ON FOR YEARS!@#$%
South Africa’s 84-page filing says Israel’s actions, including killing Palestinians and causing serious mental and bodily harm, “are genocidal in character.” It says Israeli officials have expressed genocidal intent.
The case will likely drag on for years. But South Africa’s filing includes a request for the court to urgently issue legally binding interim orders for Israel to “immediately suspend its military operations in and against Gaza.”
They lawyer up, now don’t “they”? Oh, fuck, another boy in the striped pajamas?
Israel chose Aharon Barak — a mainstay of the country’s legal world for decades — to join the panel of international judges. A former attorney general and peace negotiator who served as chief justice of Israel’s highest court from 1995-2006, Barak has ruled in cases related to Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians.
The internationally renowned 87-year-old has received honorary degrees from multiple universities, including Yale and Oxford.
He is also a Holocaust survivor who was sent to Lithuania’s Kovno Ghetto at age 5, where he has said he repeatedly evaded death. That personal detail could be significant in his discussions with the other judges.
Note the Devil/Satan Israel calling the kettle black:
Eylon Levy, an Israeli government spokesman, criticized South Africa, saying it was giving Hamas political and legal cover.
“We are appalled that South Africa has chosen to play advocate for the devil,” he said.

And, that murdering penal colony people, celebrating their aborigines? Nope:
Read this PR pap! “Independence Day in Israel is a joyous event on the annual calendar, with large energetic gatherings in the streets and loads of music, dancing and flag waving, as Israelisrevel in the revival of Jewish self-determination in the land where the Jews became a people. This year, Israel’s 75th Independence Day, which falls on April 26, should be especially boisterous, and we have indeed been seeing seas of Israeli flags out early, amidst crowds measured in the hundreds of thousands. Unfortunately, though, these have not been celebrations, but rather demonstrations by large and significant mainstream segments of Israeli society protesting against the controversial judicial reforms being advanced by PM Binyamin Netanyahu’s Government.
This is not the place to discuss the substance of the Government’s plans, or the objections of opponents. Rather, it’s worth instead noting the level of democratic and pluralistic engagement of both detractors and supporters of the plans. There is no question that this debate has been fraught and angry and divisive, and the sinews of Israeli democracy have been placed under severe strain. Yet paradoxically, many of the admirable qualities which have made that Israeli democracy such a success story have also been on display – patriotism, commitment, engagement and productive political passion have been expressed from virtually every sector. Both sides insist their quest is to uphold Israel’s national charter as laid down in its Declaration of Independence – that Israel should remain a Jewish and democratic state “based on the ideas of liberty, justice, and peace… [that will] uphold the full social and political equality of all its citizens, without distinction of race, creed, or sex.”

And the Inbred Queendom, again, Rhoses and Oxford and City of London still have U$A’s underwear out there hanging. So, they flip-the-script. China as aggressive? Coming from this syphilis producing flogged empire ?
British Foreign Secretary David Cameron has claimed that China has become more “aggressive and assertive” in the years since he headed the UK government and tried to build warm relations with Beijing.
Speaking in front of the UK Foreign Affairs Committee on Tuesday, Cameron, who was prime minister from 2010 to 2016, said that while there had been a lot of incentives for the UK to develop business relations with China in the previous decade, “a lot has changed” since then.
YEARS winding through the FUCKING courts!
Dr Anat Matar, one of the petition initiators, told The New Arab that she is filing the petition to the ICJ in The Hague on Tuesday.
“I initiated this petition first of all because I wanted to show that there is part of Israeli citizens who agree with South Africa’s move”.
Dr Anat Matar holds a senior lecturer position at Tel Aviv University, where she teaches political philosophy. In addition, she advocates for ‘draft refusers’, a small segment of Israelis who refuse to serve in the Israeli army because they oppose the occupation.
“What I know for sure is that this war must be stopped immediately. Every moment that passes is a crime”.
Israeli member of Knesset Ofer Cassif from the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality-Jabha announced that he’s also supporting the initiative.
“My constitutional duty is to Israeli society and all of its residents, not to a government whose members and its coalition are calling for ethnic cleansing and even actual genocide”, Cassif wrote on the social media platform X.
No one can celebrate a genuine Christmas without being truly poor. The self-sufficient, the proud, those who, because they have everything, look down on others, those who have no need even of God—for them there will be no Christmas. Only the poor, the hungry, those who need someone to come on their behalf, will have that someone. That someone is God. Emmanuel. God-with-us. Without poverty of spirit there can be no abundance of God.

“The Poor Old Lady,” by the Colombian poet and fabulist, Rafael Pombo
There was one an old lady Who had nothing to eat, Only meats, fruits, sweets, Cakes, eggs, bread, and fish She drank broth, hot chocolate, Milk, wine, tea and coffee, Yet the poor one could not find What to eat or what to drink
And this old lady did not have Even a little ranch in which to live Save a large house With its vegetable plot and garden
No one, no one cared for her Except Andrés and Juan and Gil And eight servants and two pages Dressed in livery and bow-tie
She never had something to sit on Except chairs and sofas With foot stools and pillows And support for her back
Neither another bed, except a big one More gold than an altar, With a mattress of soft feathers, Plenty of silk and plenty of frills.
And this poor old lady Every year until her end Had another year of age And one less to live
And upon seeing herself in the mirror She was always frightened there By an old lady with glasses, a hat and a wig
And this poor old lady Didn’t have anything to wear Except dresses of a thousand cuts And thousands and thousands of fabrics
And were it not for her shoes, Sandals, boots, and pumps Barefooted on the floor Would walk the unhappy one
She never had an appetite Upon finishing her meals, Nor enjoyed her total health When she wasn’t feeling well
She died from the ills of wrinkles, Now stooped over like a tree, And never again complained Of neither hunger nor thirst.
And this poor old lady Upon dying left nothing more Than money, jewels, lands, houses, Eight cats and a troupial bird.
Sleep in peace, and God permit That we may one day enjoy The hardships of that poor one And to die of the same cause.
Pombo’s stories possess a similar tone to those of the Grimm Brothers, since the ending leaves us feeling uneasy. Still, the message is essential, and one can’t help but wonder if Saint Romero had this little story in mind when he was writing his own poem (he would have likely read Pombo’s story in his youth). The message of both Romero’s words and Pombo’s story goes beyond criticizing material wealth. Poverty is a necessary state of mind and spirit in which we recognize that we are not complete, regardless of what we have. Sure, the “poor” old lady should have been grateful for what she had, but the deeper message of being grateful—and the greater spiritual impact that gratitude has—is tied to a recognition of poverty, which we can (and should) always find in our lives. … I’ll be railing against more than Vox and this bimbo writing about Exodus, the fucking movie!!!!
While those Jews turn up the flames of genocide, we get Jewish Writers in LALA Land writing this?
In Our Exodus: Leon Uris and the Americanization of Israel’s Founding Story, Israeli college professor and historian M.M. Silver notes that the book was a gift to Israel’s tourist industry. “More tourists fly into Tel Aviv with Exodus than with the Bible,” said the director of the Israeli government’s tourist office in 1959. David Ben-Gurion, the country’s first prime minister, reportedly proclaimed, “I don’t usually read novels. But I read that one. As a literary work, it isn’t much. But as a piece of propaganda, it’s the greatest thing ever written about Israel.” Production images from the Otto Preminger film, featuring a shirtless Paul Newman wearing a Star of David necklace, only increased the story’s allure.
U.S. National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby last week called the lawsuit “meritless, counterproductive, and completely without any basis in fact whatsoever,” while Israel has rejected it as “blood libel.”
This is the latest divergence in a series of diplomatic disagreements between Washington and Pretoria, which the U.S. sees as being too close to Russia and China.
Fucking Jewish Only Fucking Monsters: President Isaac Herzog says that “there is nothing more atrocious and preposterous” than the lawsuit filed in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) accusing Israel of genocidal actions against Palestinians in the war against the Hamas terror group.
Speaking to visiting US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Herzog censures South Africa for bringing the case, which is due to begin hearings on Thursday, and thanks Washington for its support of Israel.
A demonstration in support of Israel is scheduled to take place in The Hague, Netherlands, this Thursday. The event is a response to the recent legal actions taken by South Africa against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
Monsters: The Center for Information and Documentation Israel (CIDI), in partnership with Christians for Israel and other organizations, is organizing the event. “In these challenging times, it’s crucial to show our unwavering support for Israel,” said a CIDI spokesperson. “We urge everyone who stands with Israel to join us in this peaceful demonstration of solidarity.”
“Christians” are so focused on Israel that they ignore Jesus’s words, like:
Inasmuch as you have done it unto the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.
Matthew 25:40
Yep. Biden and Trump are typical US politicians with no signs of humanity or morality. Only candidates who have sold their souls can hope to become president of the US.
Trump would be even “tougher” on poor beleaguered Palestine than Biden has been, who so far has presided over the deaths of possibly 30,000 civilians in cold blood! Another Trump term could be the death knell for the Palestinian nation and people. (Source)
While those Jewish Terrorists in the form of Blinken and Larry Fink gut the world, and this is what shit-hole North AmeriKKKa faces, thanks to billionaire parasites. And their bootlicking Israel Forever thugs: Much of North America may face electricity shortages starting in 2024
Over the next several years, many regions of the US and Canada may struggle to ensure a reliable electricity supply amid soaring energy demand from the tech industry and electrification of buildings and vehicles.
So, kidney machines, AC, heating, keeping the food from spoiling, and we have those pieces of Mengele Stains, Sam Altman or whomever in the Digital Gulag class, send them back to their cubbie in a pine box.
Oh oh, those hormone charging/masking/hacking plastics. What a 21st Century of “You Will Eat Bugs and Own Nothing” fucking plastic heads in the making unfolding.
In the past, researchers have shown bottled water can contain tens of thousands of identifiable plastic fragments in a single container. However, until recently, only the larger microplastics were detectable with available measuring tools. The realm of the nanoplastics was largely a mystery.
“Previously this was just a dark area, uncharted. Toxicity studies were just guessing what’s in there,” Beizhan Yan, an environmental chemist at Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, said in a statement.
A nation of takers, a nation behind the blood mobile van eight ball. Is there anymore proof how shredded U$A is, and how vapid the population is. Is there plastic in that plasma?
The American Red Cross announced that it is experiencing the lowest number of people giving blood in the last 20 years, in what the organization says is an emergency shortage.
In all, the Red Cross says that the number of people donating blood has dropped by 40% over the last two decades, and that the shortage could worsen in coming months if winter weather or seasonal respiratory illnesses like the flu or COVID-19 cause people to cancel their donation appointments.
What? Nah, with all that NFL and Celebrity and Rapper and Israel Genocide News, this can’t be true! A new study has found that the overwhelming majority of protein foods such as meat and fish are contaminated with microplastics.
The comprehensive study, conducted by researchers at the nonprofit Ocean Conservancy, found that approximately 88% of protein samples tested contained microplastic particles.
“Highly processed products contained the most microplastics per gram,” the study said in its findings.
That fucking Raytheon and DoD monster, and he never told his boss? The news is — Biden isn’t in the driver’s seat, and the Blinken-Nuland-Kagan-Emoff-Yellen-Garland Wailing Wall White House don’t care about your cancer, sir, general. Austin diagnosed with cancer, didn’t tell Biden for weeks.
The disclosures come amid controversy over the Pentagon’s decision to keep members of the national security team, including Biden, in the dark for several days over his medical emergency.
As always, back to my county, in my neck of the woods, and this is the reality of parasetic capitalism, and, fuck, we’re priced out of getting some homeless housing, even temporary shelters, going. Fucking Motel vouchers! Zelensky, can we have some of that blood money returned?
Lincoln County has started its temporary winter program for the homeless in Lincoln City even though it has been unable to find and purchase property for a permanent shelter there.
The county’s new shelter in Newport and a similar service now in Lincoln City is its first attempt to establish a walk-in shelter system for the homeless that are open seven days a week. It’s also the county’s first effort to create and operate a six-month shelter program not pegged to bad weather or relying solely on volunteers to run it.
Can’t we just get along and watch Exodus in Technicolor?
Speaking in relation to the Yemen front, Al-Husseini said:
“Any attack on Yemen will put all calculations and considerations aside, all options will be open to us, and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq will respond.”
He emphasized that “the United States will see days that [it] may not forget throughout its history.”
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq is a coalition made up of several Iraqi resistance groups allied with the wider Axis of Resistance and have been targeting US bases since the beginning of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, as well as recently targeting Haifa with an advanced ballistic missile.
Is it so easy to say, “Fuck Your Fucking Exodus and Half Jew Newman Bullshit Fawning”?
Exodus is a novel, but the foreword begins, “Most of the events in Exodus are a matter of history and public record.” The rest of the book’s 608 (!) pages are filled with a litany of historical names and real places. There’s no afterword offering clarification; I had to keep looking up what was factual and what Uris had invented. The Jewish characters are wholly noble, though their politics differ, with some swearing by diplomacy and others by violent freedom-fighting. The Arabs — both Christian and Muslim — are evil cartoons. Uris luxuriates in phrases like “so illiterate and so backward,” “blood orgy,” “slithering along the ground with knives between their teeth,” “nearly insane with rage,” and “the dregs of humanity.” He makes sweeping generalizations like “There was little song or laughter or joy in Arab life. It was a constant struggle to survive. In this atmosphere, cunning, treachery, murder, feuds, and jealousies became a way of life.” (source)
Yeah, New York/East Coast Trash, giving the world her Jewish angst about the movie and book and about her Jewishness.
The movie changes the book’s ending, making it bleaker. Ari stands over an open grave containing two corpses wrapped in linen. A double funeral, for an Arab and a Jew. Ari says, in Trumbo’s words,
“I look at these two people and I want to howl like a dog. I want to shout ‘Murder!’ so that the whole world will hear it and never forget. It’s right that these two people should lie side by side in this grave, because they will share it in peace. But the dead always share the earth in peace. And that’s not enough. … I swear, on the bodies of these two people, that the day will come when Arab and Jew will share a peaceful life in this land that they have always shared in death.”
But in the final shot of the film, a line of jeeps come, and the men and women with rifles hop in, and we know there will be more killing.
How about this fucking Holly-Dirt ending?

Concision — You Can’t Get Those Profound and Deep Ideas Out in 40 Seconds?
Black History Month is Too Short
by Paul Haeder
Carter G. Woodson came up with the idea of a “Black History” in 1926; however, terminology labeled it Negro History Week, the second week of February. Then fifty years later the feds stretched out the “learning” recognition: Gerald Ford’s 1976 declaration gave schools permission to officially make Black History a month-long “event.”
Woodson’s goal was to have that week work itself out of existence, hoping that “time would come when Negro History Week would be unnecessary and we as a nation would willingly recognize the contributions of Black Americans as a legitimate and integral part of the history of this country.”
So much work is needed in the K12 arena. Now, in a time when school librarians have armed guards escorting them, and when shouting Red and Blue fools land mainstream “news” coverage, Woodson’s dream to provide and adopt a more inclusive, thorough approach to Black history is being shattered.
In Florida — as well as in so many other states with corporate-soaked and under-educated political leaders — officials are pushing not just condensed and oversimplified versions of Black history, but some want to limit it to a few posters with guys/gals like Jesse Owens and Oprah plastered on them.
I miss talking about amazing black leaders, including Dick Gregory, plus those I never got to see live such as Paul Robeson. I have spent time with presidential candidate Cornel West, an amazing mind and thought leader who almost four years ago resigned from Harvard for meaningful reasons.
One of the nation’s foremost Black scholars and an outspoken progressive activist, West announced his resignation from Harvard University, accusing the school of “intellectual and spiritual bankruptcy of deep depths.”
That university failed to give tenure to this giant of a philosopher. The 72-year-old stated politics were a factor in Harvard’s decision not to extend tenure to him. Why? His outspoken support for the Palestinian cause.
“We all knew the mendacious reasons given had nothing to do with academic standards. … I knew my academic achievements and student teaching meant far less than their political prejudices,” West stated.
I have no idea how many people in Lincoln County know West is running for president. I know that my students here and elsewhere in Oregon and Washington have no idea about what I was taught in prepping to be a substitute teacher: The education system has let down millions of students who hope to understand their own history, which is revealing in a nation where Black people were once considered “3/5ths” of a person.
Here is the reality now — Librarian Cicely Lewis has organized weekly Black History Month celebrations at her school in Norcross, Ga. “We had a head-wrapping station. We had a storybook station … We had a station where you can listen to August Wilson monologues from our own drama department,” she says. “We even had our school jazz band there.”
That was in 2022, and she wasn’t sure whether the celebration would actually happen. In January, Georgia lawmakers introduced four bills that would ban teaching concepts that cause “guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress” because of a student’s race, sex or identity.
We can’t get more of American Dream and Success Story than Paul Robeson’s — Paul Leroy Robeson (1898 to 1976) was an American bass-baritone concert artist, stage and film actor, professional football player, and activist.
His talents made him a revered man of his time – for a period – but his radical political beliefs which I especially included in lessons caused me grief from administrators up in Vancouver where I substituted in three school districts. “Too political for high school.”
Robeson began finding work as an actor in the mid-1920s when he played the lead in Eugene O’Neill’s “All God’s Chillun Got Wings” (1924) and “The Emperor Jones” (1925).
His voice was amazing, and he sang in many languages. However, his story must include context and history around his blacklisting. During the 1940s, Robeson’s black nationalist and anti-colonialist activities caught fascist Joseph McCarthy’s attention.
Robeson was a master world-renowned singer, actor. He also spent years as an entertainer to the Allied forces during World War II. Yet, Robeson was singled out as a major threat to American democracy.
His story covers a wide range of American history, not just for Black Americans, but for all Americans exercising their constitutional rights. For Florida and other states, teaching about Robeson may soon not be permitted.
That’s a Black History Year story of shame.

So, Chomsky, on why he is not in main-scum media:
Kwame Ture Interview (1988)
There are those, of course, who have produced work specific to the field of mass communication with an appropriate focus on political economy. The work of Christopher Simpson’s Science of Coercion does this well, as does Thomas Glander’s Origins of Mass Communication Research, even more recently Yasha Levine’s Surveillance Valley. Alford and Secker’s National Security Cinema, also more recent, cannot be overlooked nor should many others not mentioned here.
What separates Burton’s work, however, is its particular focus on the colonization of Black America, the emergence of a carceral system largely in response to that colonization, and then particularly, the function played by these prisons in suppressing the potential spread of revolutionary consciousness. Readers interested in these related courses of study will note how often Burton makes reference to propaganda, communication, framing, pacification, consciousness, narrative, surveillance, and control. Moreover, particular readers will be struck by Burton’s emphasis on various forms of unconventional or immaterial warfare; psychological, brain, information, or cognitive.
Make no mistake, Burton does produce in Tip of the Spear plenty that would fall well, if not neatly or comfortably, within more traditional media studies analyses. For instance, as many media critics have done, Burton takes a moment to show how once again the New York Times, the vaunted “paper of record,” engaged in what feels like the routine production of a “counterfactual” that cannot be fully termed a “lie” because “… it exposes a disavowed truth.” And then with particular care and the corrective Black radical frame intact, Burton explains that truth, putting the context of Black captivity, prisons themselves, and the revolt each inspire back at its proper center. The truth was not merely the Black uprising or the counter-violence meted out as result; it was the distortions by the Times of that counter-violence and its original reporting that Burton exposes as key and which many in the study of communication are discouraged from ever even considering; that the accused “ … murdered, mutilated, and sexually violated White Man, exposed his political and sexual impotence , and forced him to autocannibalize the ultimate symbol of his masculine identity” (125). Dominant narratives are essential to power, and distortions in reporting are not reducible to journalistic or political bias, profit, or the bottom line. “Capitalist social relations,” as Burton also writes, “are entangled with these racial-gender dynamics” (123) and the colonial settings in which they all play out. Haitian filmmaker Raoul Peck has taken the 30 completed pages of James Baldwin’s final, unfinished manuscript, Remember This House, in which the author went about the painful task of remembering his three fallen friends Medgar Evers, Malcolm X, and Martin Luther King, and crafted an elegantly precise and bracing film essay. Peck’s film, about the unholy agglomeration of myths, institutionalized practices both legal and illegal, and displaced white terror that have long perpetuated the tragic state of race in America, is anchored by the presence of Baldwin himself in images and words, read beautifully by Samuel L. Jackson in hushed, burning tones. A Magnolia Pictures release.
Many know of the name Paul Robeson as a great baritone singer and actor of the early 20th century… but few know of Paul Robeson as the cultural warrior, renaissance man and world citizen who created the foundations for the civil rights movement, played a leading role in the international anti-colonial freedom struggle, or anti-fascist movement. Too few of today’s citizens are aware of the grand vision of brotherhood that governed his life’s devotion from childhood to old age and which gave him the strength to stand tall against the full force of a fascist takeover of America in the wake of FDR’s death.
In this lecture, Rising Tide Foundation Director Matthew Ehret introduces Robeson’s life and mission with an exploration of his family roots, to his evolution as an artist and world citizen which remains one of the most beautiful lessons for patriots young and old alike in today’s beleaguered world sitting as we are, once more under the fog of a new Cold War and potential nuclear confrontation between East and West.

Alan Dershowitz has long-loomed large among Epstein’s suspected pedophile confederates, and with good reason. On top of a proudly admitted personal relationship with Epstein and his long-time partner – or “madam” – Jewish Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of famed Mossad operative Jewish Robert Maxwell, in December 2014, Gentile Virginia Giuffre (nee Roberts) sued him. She claimed Jewish Epstein arranged for Jewish Dershowitz to rape her at least six times, starting from when she was just 16.
Meanwhile, Dershowitz met privately with then-Palm Beach State Attorney Barry Krischer (Jewish), engaging in “shenanigans” that investigating officers had “never seen or heard of before.” Among them, providing dossiers on Epstein’s accusers, including photos of them drinking beer while underage, among other trivial “personal peccadilloes.”[Note: Jews Jews Everywhere: The Anti-Defamation League honored Bar President Michelle R. Israel expects support from western capitals because they have nearly as much to fear from a verdict against Israel as Israel itself. They have staunchly backed the killing spree, with the US and UK, in particular, sending weapons that are being used against the people of Gaza, making both potentially complicit.
According to a cable from the Israeli foreign ministry, leaked to the Axios website, Israel hopes that, given the difficulties of making a legal case in defence of its actions, diplomatic and political pressure on the court’s justices will win the day instead.
The Biden administration led the way late last week in dismissing South Africa’s detailed legal brief as “meritless, counterproductive and completely without any basis in fact whatsoever”.

Doug Emhoff, the husband of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, took his campaign against antisemitism to the United Nations Thursday, urging diplomats from many nations to speak out against the rising global hatred of Jews and stressing: “Silence is not an option.”
The first Jewish spouse of either a U.S. president or vice president, the California lawyer said those who don’t speak out should be called out, and there must be “consequences” for all those engaged in antisemitism.
Emhoff — officially called the Second Gentleman — pointed to celebrity comedians too often using antisemitism “to draw cheap laughs, high profile entertainers and politicians openly spouting tired antisemitic tropes (and) others making comments laced with not so subtle innuendo.”

Fuckers can’t say Merry Christmas? Vice President Kamala Harris faced backlash for her festive message to Americans after she failed to mention the world “Christmas.”

Ahh, is it also what they DON’T say that makes this tribe powerful? I believe it’s more than 80 percent Jews in Jewish State of Jewish Occupied Palestine for full throttle genocide:
“The treasonous words of MK Kasif can no longer be heard while the blood of our soldiers and citizens is crying out from the ground. MK Kasif, who was previously disqualified from running for the Knesset following a petition I submitted to the election committee, has chosen during the war to join one of the most destructive initiatives for the security of the State of Israel, and thus he supports the struggle of Hamas against Israel. He must soon find himself beyond the borders of the Knesset and preferably beyond the borders of the State of Israel. Israeli far-left lawmaker joins Gaza genocide lawsuit at ICJ” The Jerusalem Post.
Cassif’s comments have been universally condemned in Israel where some surveys show more than 80 percent of Israelis support the current military operation in Gaza. Also, a number of Cassif’s most strident critics have called for the ethics committee to remove him from the Knesset after he announced his intentions. (According to Israeli media: 70 members of the Knesset have already voted to remove Ofer as soon as Monday morning.) Even so, the beleaguered lawmaker has courageously withstood the blistering attacks and forged ahead with his righteous crusade.
Ahh, Uncle Tom Tom: New York Police Department reported 325 protesters were arrested!
“The goal is to peacefully protest without doing major disruption to the city. Some people are not just driving to and from, across our bridges to go to their place of employment, some of them are dealing with some real emergency type issues,” Adams told reporters.
“I have been extremely clear, it gives us all pain to see innocent lives being lost right now,” Adams added. “We need to do whatever is possible to end anything that is going to take the lives of innocent people, but Hamas must be destroyed. They are a terrorist organization.”
and so if you do not have a cool $150,000 a year, and have a col $300K as dispoable income, forget your fucking existence!
Fucking Passport hell. Just a few months ago, my local US Post Office branches in Lincoln County, Oregon (three of them) were there to process passport renewals and first-timers. Now, my first-time mother-in-law passport applicant, on Social Security payments, has to pay through the nose just to get to Mexico, her DNA roots.
Fuck. So, you have to go to Walmart or Walgreens for photos ($20); then, first timers have to pay $130 for the passport book, but that takes 8 weeks, so, add another $60 for expedited services, and since we have gutted the USPS, we go to the county courthouse, Clerk, and that is another $35 processing fee. There are no trained staff at USPS in Lincoln County, Oregon, to do the processing.
Fuck, Biden and Trump, the lot of them, want the 80 percent of us on the Rez, man!
Hmm, $250. And, since we live in fear USA, the three-day fee on top of $250 is $19.50. Since sheeple are afraid the USPS passport delivery won’t make it in time for the trip and tickets to old Mexico.
Right, a fucking free mother fucking democracy. And it’s on the perverts’ laps — Biden and Trump, Demon-crats and Pubic-crats.
THIS IS FUCKING UNACCEPTABLE, but like Reagan and all the other fucking gutting experts, making sure government, local and state and federal, don’t work, or are so clogged down, or are so threadbare, or are so fucking difficult for the average person to want to work for, and so much fucking more, we are in a land of privatized hell.
Pure dysfunctional hell. So much so, that the fucking murderers and their murdering hi-tech punks with MS degrees in computing or electrical engineering, they are part of the fucking Jewish Mafia of Untraceable Funds and Guns.
For the sixth year in a row, the Pentagon failed its annual audit.
The result is not a surprise. The Department of Defense’s assets are vast and decentralized, amounting to $3.8 trillion alongside $4 trillion in liabilities. These are located in all 50 states and more than 4,500 sites around the world.
More than 500,000 workers at the United States Postal Service (USPS) will be handling billions of deliveries through the holidays. For hundreds of them, this may be their last Christmas at their current mail sorting facility and workers are warning the impact on consumers will be severe.
The appointee as postmaster general under Donald Trump, Louis DeJoy, is currently implementing a 10-year “Delivering for America” austerity plan that will slash jobs and close sorting centers.
The plan is being implemented amid calls to have DeJoy ousted from the post and, in a rare instance of bipartisan unity, both Republican and Democratic officials have recently criticized DeJoy over the consolidation of USPS facilities – a move DeJoy claims will transform the USPS network for the better.
Only the postal board of governors has the authority to remove DeJoy from his position, but the Biden administration has delayed nominating replacements to the board. This has left DeJoy secure in his position for the time being as a petition with more than 40,000 signatures is circulating to call on Biden to appoint two replacements to the board.
Currently 30 mail processing facilities in the US are under review for consolidation. An average rate of 25 jobs would be lost per consolidation while hundreds of other workers would be forced to relocate, and local residents would be left with slower mail services. That number of consolidations is expected to climb to 400 sorting and delivery facilities under DeJoy’s plan.
Donald Rumsfeld did not reveal that the Pentagon had lost $2.3 trillion the day before the September 11, 2001, attacks, contrary to posts shared online that misrepresent his remarks about missing financial audit trails. The figure had been mentioned by the Department of Defense more than a year earlier.
Any audit of the fucking AzovZioNaziLensky? No way, Murder Inc.!
And when is fucking IRS/ MIC Tax Fucking Day? April 15 for 2023 1040?

Fucking viral diseased Anglo Saxons: In “The White Man’s Burden” Kipling encouraged the American annexation and colonisation of the Philippine Islands, a Pacific Ocean archipelago conquered in the three-month Spanish–American War (1898).As an imperialist poet, Kipling exhorts the American reader and listener to take up the enterprise of empire yet warns about the personal costs faced, endured, and paid in building an empire;nonetheless, American imperialists understood the phrase “the white man‘s burden” to justify imperial conquest as a civilising mission that is ideologically related to the continental expansion philosophy of manifest destiny of the early 19th century.
Oh, you don’t need Hilary “Happy to Honor Sodomy by Sword” Clinton or Joe “Blow-Fish Jewish” Biden to tell us about super-predators, those other races, man, you know, how it is in AmeriKKKa, since every fucking president has been a white supremacist, hands down, so having their sycophants and admirers as wing men and wing women means — Support a Racist Day for the K12 Bring Your Parent to School Day!
“The White Man’s Burden”: Kipling’s Hymn to U.S. Imperialism
Take up the White Man’s burden—
Send forth the best ye breed—
Go send your sons to exile
To serve your captives’ need
To wait in heavy harness
On fluttered folk and wild—
Your new-caught, sullen peoples,
Half devil and half child
Take up the White Man’s burden
In patience to abide
To veil the threat of terror
And check the show of pride;
By open speech and simple
An hundred times made plain
To seek another’s profit
And work another’s gain
Take up the White Man’s burden—
And reap his old reward:
The blame of those ye better
The hate of those ye guard—
The cry of hosts ye humour
(Ah slowly) to the light:
“Why brought ye us from bondage,
“Our loved Egyptian night?”
Take up the White Man’s burden-
Have done with childish days-
The lightly proffered laurel,
The easy, ungrudged praise.
Comes now, to search your manhood
Through all the thankless years,
Cold-edged with dear-bought wisdom,
The judgment of your peers!

Many? ALL presdients, and more than just fucking dirty quips, man, all racists in their Manifest Destiny, Settler Colonialist, Land-Stealing, Resource-Plunger, Economic Hitman SOPs and Mentality.
Many of America’s presidents were racists and pursued racist policies. The racial views and policies of each American president are examined in this ebook. George Washington, for instance, owned slaves. Harry Truman made racist comments about Blacks and Jews, and how he hated the Chinese and Japanese. Abraham Lincoln claimed not to like slavery but he was a racist who wanted Blacks out of America. He did not emancipate Blacks from slavery. Nixon said bad things about Blacks, Mexicans and Jews, and believed that abortion was necessary when a Black and White couple had a baby. Benjamin Harrison was responsible for the Wounded Knee…

Fun titles:
Presidents and Black America: A Documentary History,” examines the record of the first 44 presidents on racial issues and explores their relationships with African Americans. What emerges is a portrait of chief executives who were often blatantly racist and commonly subordinated concerns for racial justice to their own political advantage.
Here are a few examples:
• Rutherford Hayes, president from 1877-1881, claimed to be a friend of African Americans’ rights. At his inauguration, he said “a true self-government” must be “a government which guards the interests of both races carefully and equally.” But he cut a shady deal to win the presidency in the 1876 election, whose result was as hotly disputed as the 2000 Bush-Gore contest. In that deal, he agreed to withdraw federal troops from Southern states where they’d been protecting Blacks from the Ku Klux Klan and white supremacist depredations. Over the next two decades, Southern whites drove virtually all Black elected officials from office, often by fraud and sometimes at gunpoint, and about 1,500 Southern Blacks were lynched.
• William McKinley, president from 1897-1901, delivered an inaugural address extolling equal rights and declared, “Lynchings must not be tolerated.” However, he remained silent when white supremacists in Wilmington, North Carolina, staged an 1898 coup that ousted all Black elected officials and killed at least 60 Blacks. His lack of response to lynchings prompted a Black-owned newspaper to observe, “The Negroes of this country turn with impatience, disappointment and disgust from Mr. McKinley’s fence-straddling and shilly-shallying discussion of lynch law.”
• Theodore Roosevelt, president from 1901-1909, believed in white superiority while simultaneously advocating educational opportunity regardless of race. In a letter to a friend, he wrote, “Now as to the Negroes! I entirely agree with you that as a race and in the mass they are altogether inferior to the whites.”
President Woodrow Wilson told Black leaders, ‘Segregation is not a humiliation but a benefit.’ Hulton Archive / Stringer/Getty
• Woodrow Wilson, president from 1913-1921, promised fair treatment for African Americans in his 1912 campaign. But once elected, he defended his Southern Cabinet members who segregated workers in federal departments that hadn’t been segregated, writing, “It is as far as possible from being a movement against the negroes. I sincerely believe it to be in their interest.” Black Democrat Robert Wood of New York unsuccessfully urged Wilson to reverse the segregation policy: “We resent it, not at all because we are particularly anxious to eat in the same room or use the same soap and towels that white people use, but because we see in the separation in the races in the matter of soup and soap the beginning of a movement to deprive the colored man entirely of soup and soap, to eliminate him wholly from the Civil Service.” In a testy White House exchange, Wilson chastised William Monroe Trotter and other Black leaders, asserting that, “Segregation is not a humiliation but a benefit, and ought to be so regarded by you gentlemen. If your organization goes out and tells the colored people of the country that it is a humiliation, they will so regard it … The only harm that will come will be if you cause them to think it is a humiliation.”
• Franklin Roosevelt, president from 1933-1945, was widely admired among African Americans. While his New Deal programs did not benefit Blacks and whites equally, Blacks did receive benefits. But FDR’s actions were always guided by his need to appease Southern segregationists in Congress to pass his other agenda items. And his attitude could be condescending, as when he met with Black leaders about integrating the military. He advised a gradual approach, particularly with the Navy: “We are training a certain number of musicians on board ship. The ship’s band. There’s no reason why we shouldn’t have a colored band on some of these ships, because they’re darn good at it.”
Political calculation has always been at work in presidential dealings with African Americans, from George Washington to Donald Trump.

Here, a book I reviewed a long time ago, when I had a gig at the El Paso Times as book editor/reviewer. Not in digital form. Darkness in El Dorado: How Scientists and Journalists Devastated the Amazon
John Horgan —
This is the story of the unhealthy meeting of two cultures: an indigenous tribe, the Yanomami and the western anthropologists who came to the Amazon to study them. Over three decades the Yanomami Indians were transformed from the “last Stone Age tribe” so prized by those anthropologists to the most exhaustively documented and filmed tribe on earth.
Napoleon Chagnon built his reputation – and sold over a million books – by claiming to demonstrate the innate ferocity of Yanomami. He dubbed them The Fierce People. In 1968 his biggest expedition and most famous film were both lavishly funded by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission. He targeted world-famous geneticist Dr James Neel, who literally wanted their blood – he was on the lookout for a ‘virgin soil’ population and was keen to know how diseases spread through such populations. Coincidentally or otherwise, a serious and deadly outbreak of measles happened during their expedition, killing hundreds in its wake.
Chagnon friend and fellow anthropologist Jacques Lizot, was a young prodigy and favoured student of the godfather of cultural anthropology and French intellectual icon, Claude Levi-Strauss. Like practically all other anthropologists in the field, they both distributed gifts, in order to ease their way into a tribe’s affections. “Chagnon is the golden goose for the Yanomami. He brings steel tools, machetes, fishhooks and they tell him what they think he wants to hear.” Lizot’s gifts included shotguns, but his favours were not confined to the academic and his illegal sexual predations amongst the Yanomami were kept sated over years, funded by the Collège de France and Académie Française over decades.
A leaked email from two top anthropologists notes: “This nightmarish story – a real anthropological Heart Of Darkness is beyond the imagining of even a Josef Conrad – though not, perhaps, a Josef Mengele.”
Darkness in El Dorado: How Scientists and Journalists Devastated the Amazon, by journalist Patrick Tierney. The book contained allegations of misconduct by scientists and journalists scrutinizing the Yanomamö. Tierney’s chief villain was Chagnon, whom Tierney accused of projecting his belligerent personality onto the Yanomamö and of inciting their violence.
I was still working on my review of Darkness when I received emails from five prominent scholars: Edward Wilson, Richard Dawkins, Steven Pinker, Daniel Dennett and Marc Hauser. Although each wrote separately, the emails were obviously coordinated. They had learned (none said how, although I suspected via a friend with whom I discussed my review) that I was reviewing Darkness for the Times. Warning that a positive review might ruin my career, the group urged me either to denounce Darkness or to withdraw as a reviewer.
To the Editor:
In Darkness in El Dorado, Patrick Tierney accuses scientists of inciting lethal violence among the Yanomami and deliberately or negligently spreading a devastating epidemic among them. These are extraordinary charges, and call for a serious evaluation. Your reviewer, John Horgan, writes only that Tierney ”should have worked harder” to prove them. He failed to mention that the charges have been examined in detail and shown to be false. The National Academy of Sciences, the University of Michigan and the University of California, Santa Barbara, have consulted the historians, physicians, epidemiologists, filmmakers and anthropologists with firsthand knowledge of the events in Tierney’s book, and they have systematically refuted its accusations….” Richard Dawkins, Oxford, England. Daniel C. Dennett, Medford, Mass. Marc Hauser, Cambridge, Mass. Steven Pinker, Cambridge, Mass. E. O. Wilson, Cambridge, Mass.
John Horgan replies:
Richard Dawkins et al. are understandably concerned about the impact of Darkness in El Dorado on the reputation of Darwinian social science. But as representatives of that enterprise, they risk further damaging its reputation–and exposing themselves as defenders not of truth but of sociobiological dogma–by declaring that Tierney’s book has been ”systematically refuted.” The evidence they cite comes not from impartial evaluations of Darkness but from partisan attacks… Tierney’s book raises painful, embarrassing questions about how scientists and journalists have treated isolated, indigenous people. I believe that in the long run, science and journalism — and the human objects of their observations — will benefit if these questions are faced rather than suppressed. “
Chagnon’s views of the “fierce” Yanomamö and of the roots of war were more subtle than his critics or admirers suggested — John Horgan September 27, 2019
So, the real dirty “scientists” wanted the review to be quashed or outright not published.
In 1901 the soon to be first president of the American Anthropological Association wrote that “through observation of a typical [Native American] tribe,” it was clear that “the savage stands strikingly close to sub-human species in every aspect.”
An outgrowth of the pseudoscientific theory of racial and cultural hierarchy, William McGee’s words in American Anthropologist, anthropology’s flagship academic journal, echoed racist 19th-century views that justified mistreatment of Indigenous communities and propped up arguments for eugenics. (Anthropology Association Apologizes to Native Americans for the Field’s Legacy of Harm – For decades anthropologists exploited Indigenous peoples in the name of science. Now they are reckoning with that history)
Regarding the AAA’s apology, Jacquetta Swift of the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C., says, it is “about damn time.” Swift, who is a member of the Comanche Nation and descended from the Fort Sill Apache Tribe, runs the department responsible for returning items in the museum’s collections that are eligible for repatriation. Although objects and ancestral remains came into the collections a number of ways, including occasionally with the cooperation of the tribe to which they belonged, the modern notion of consent was not part of anyone’s paradigm when those collections began.
“I do not consent for anyone to disturb, excavate or study my remains or otherwise violate me in my final resting place,” Swift says. “And to any extent that my voice carries weight on the matter, I do not consent on those same issues for my relations, regardless if they are blood-related or not.”
When the museum was established as part of the Smithsonian Institution in 1989, the collections it inherited held around 1,000 Native American remains, according to Swift.
Israel “interprets its actions in such a way as to show that they were carried out according to the laws of war, and therefore, it claims that it is moral … At the same time, it dehumanizes the Palestinians in claims that they are immoral,” he explained.
“Palestinians are presented as barbarian and as primitive and as people who do not understand the laws of war, people that do not make distinctions between civilians and combatants, and so forth, and therefore they are immoral, while Israel claims that it tries to protect civilians.”
‘Legitimizing’ war crimes
Statements like Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant saying,
“We are fighting against animals” are clear examples of the strategy to try to legitimize war crimes, said Gordon.
Comparisons of Palestinians to “rats or snakes” on Israeli social media accounts are an effort to “dehumanize” them and “legitimize civilian deaths.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claims that Gaza is a “city of evil,” he said, adding:
“When Israel tells 1.1 million Palestinians to move south, and then claims that any Palestinian civilian that stayed there is involved in the conflict, and therefore, a legitimate target, is a way of manipulating the laws of war.”
How about 2015?
New deputy defense minister called Palestinians ‘animals’ Later that year, while discussing his opposition to Knesset legislation that would offer same-sex parents the same tax breaks as their heterosexual counterparts, Ben Dahan told Maariv that homosexual Jews were superior than gentiles — gay or straight.
“A Jew always has a much higher soul than a gentile, even if he is a homosexual,” he said.

Business Insider reported that Ackman’s wife Neri Oxman plagiarized in her doctoral dissertation. Oxman, a former MIT professor, acknowledged omitting quotation marks and apologized in a post on X, and added that she will check the citations and “request that MIT make any necessary corrections.”
After Ackman announced the plagiarism probe of MIT’s leadership and faculty on Friday, the outlet published a follow-up piece that accused Oxman of plagiarizing portions of her dissertation and other papers, including passages from Wikipedia and other scholarly and technical writings.
Ackman responded to the follow-up story in his post on Saturday, saying that Neri will review the new allegations when she has time to do so. He also questioned whether using definitions from Wikipedia without citation should be considered plagiarism, saying,
“I think that’s worth an important discussion among the experts. It does not strike me as plagiarism, nor do I think it takes anything away from her work. I am not sure who would even complain that they were not cited properly.”
As Norman Finkelstein states, there is spillover of good people looking at Jews who support Israel, Jews who do not call for a ceasefire, Jews who defend Israel’s Nakba and its role in killing Gazans BEFORE Oct. 7, and Jews who act badly,, defend love of money, who have a spirit of hoarding power, and other lovely Jewish historical realities that do not shine a positive light on Jews as a self-defining group or people or religion or ethnic tribe, that is, clumping Jews into the category of bad genocidal Jews when seeing what horrors are unfolding in Jewish Controlled Jewish State of Jewish Occupied Palestine.
You think looking at Ackman and his wife is easy to somehow separate his fascist ideology from his billions gained from “investment” thievery from his stance on Israel-First/Only from his own Jewishness? You would have to be brain injured to not at least make some connections.

But we have a problem Houston. The globalists, the billionaires, the millionaires, the fascists and green pornographers and the totalitarians, well, they think you and I are dirty carbon shitters, and but however, the rich, the fucking rich at the table, at COP28, etc., they are the lords of all knowledge.
But this is just a drop in the bucket on how dirty, thieving, murdering the rich are: Richest 1% emit as much planet-heating pollution as two-thirds of humanity
Carbon emissions of richest 1 percent surged to 16 percent of world’s total CO2 emissions in 2019.
Their carbon emissions are enough to cause 1.3 million excess deaths due to heat.
Unequal countries suffer seven times more flood fatalities than more equal countries.
Fairly taxing the super-rich would help curb both climate change and inequality.
The richest 1 percent of the world’s population produced as much carbon pollution in 2019 than the five billion people who made up the poorest two-thirds of humanity, reveals a new Oxfam report today. It comes ahead of the UN climate summit in Dubai, amid growing fears that the 1.5°C target for curtailing rising temperatures appears increasingly unachievable.
These fuckers — the Point Zero Zero One Percent, the One Percent, the Five Percent and the reat, the 14 Percent — 20 percenters in the GLobal North, well, almost every breath they take is hell on earth for the 80 percent — war, war on children, war on water, water on earth, war on mothers, war on fetuses, war on the old, war on the young, war on the youth, war on neighborhoods, war on health, safety, welfare, war on knowledge, war on self-efficacy, war on community, war on mothers, war on families, war on the poor-races-indigenous.

Crack Cocaine:
Nader’s Press — So begins Only the Super-Rich Can Save Us, the vivid fictional account by political activist and bestselling author Ralph Nader that answers the question, “What if?” What if a cadre of super-rich individuals tried to become a driving force in America to organize and institutionalize the interests of the citizens of this troubled nation? What if some of America’s most powerful individuals decided it was time to fix our government and return the power to the people? What if they focused their power on unionizing Wal-Mart? What if a national political party were formed with the sole purpose of advancing clean elections? What if these seventeen super-rich individuals decided to galvanize a movement for alternative forms of energy that will effectively clean up the environment? What if together they took on corporate goliaths and Congress to provide the necessities of life and advance the solutions so long left on the shelf by an avaricious oligarchy? What could happen?
This extraordinary story, written by the author who knows the most about citizen action, returns us to the literature of American social movements—to Edward Bellamy, to Upton Sinclair, to John Steinbeck, to Stephen Crane—reminding us in the process that changing the body politic of America starts with imagination.

Protesters led by civil rights activist Al Sharpton picketed Bill Ackman’s Manhattan offices Thursday, condemning the billionaire investor’s campaign to oust Harvard University president Claudine Gay and his denouncement of the school’s diversity efforts.
Sharpton, 69, said in an interview that Gay’s resignation after weeks of intense criticism is a sign of the broader dangers facing diversity, equity and inclusion programs across the US. Her resignation is “a blow to the DEI movement that all of us in the civil rights community have been fighting for,” he said, adding that he sees the fight as “bigger than just her.”

But he tells me why Israel’s oppression of the Palestinians is worse than Apartheid, why the anti-apartheid movement is an example to now follow, the silencing of pro-Palestinian voices, South Africa’s case against Israel alleging genocide – and why history shows we have a responsibility to speak out.
so many people want to write their autobiography, their memoirs, but it does take stick-to-it-ness, enlightement, engagement and a purpose for the actual written form . . . . but keep it up!
The entire process of revealing one’s past is an explosion of lamentations, regret, revelation, and reckoning. For the reader, hope is vulcanized in the act of captivating, creation, contemplation and allowing for a bit of the wild side.
Every so often, I tackle eight- or 12-week writing workshops around the genre of memoir. In February, Iwill be hosting this Oregon Coast Community College community ed course titled, “Putting Your WritingPuzzle Together.”
In essence, we are talking about any type of literary writing, but we do find emphasizing one’s memoir as the crux of why people wrangle gumption and stick-to-it attitudes in their attempts at carving out some portion of life that springs from a well of transition, into life lessons, all seeped in surviving life’s school of hard knocks.
This past Fall, students tackled some unbelievable significant emotional and life changing events to process through the memoir writing class we held at Waldport’s OCCC campus.
We’re talking about deep plumbing of family and life circumstances. Imagine, one fellow Zoomed from Wisconsin, and his life story was like a snow plow pushing iced-over snow banks all over the state. He was a young paperboy when he was sexually assaulted by a older man on his route. He was quintessential Wisconsin youth growing up in a town of drinking, bar hoping, beer worshipping, and churches – 55 bars to 42 churches. Booze is king in Wisconsin, and this fellow fought that demon.
Then, for ten years he was shuttled around jails and prisons throughout Wisconsin. The students reveled in his memoir essays dripping with an authentic voice of someone in prison. We had a woman dealing with her unwanted pregnancy being covered up when she was fifteen. In fact, her child was taken by her own mother. Here’s the premise in a nutshell: “Teenage mother gives birth to child in England and then returns to Southern California to call the boy ‘brother.’” Now in her 70’s, hers is a tale of reckoning, recall and family secrets coming out like poison flowing from pours in a sweat lodge.
Decades of drinking and struggling with depression and bi-polar syndrome were another writer’s subject matter. This septuagenarian is dealing with the good life on the Oregon Coast but only after decades of faking it in sales, drinking hard and flogging himself into fugues of almost daily perseverating suicide. This fellow is a poet to boot, so his memoir is quasi-experimental with his poems and others interspersed with his autobiographical stories.
Then we have a mother and daughter who left another state so her daughter could finish her transition. Now high school student, she was born a gendered male, but she had complicated and myriad psychological and hormonal drives to be a girl.
The autobiographical journey is the mother’s journey, with her daughter weighing in: A mother’s story of picking up and leaving other children and her husband behind. Much of this transition had to be secretive, including her own workplace not knowing the circumstance from going from the southwest to Oregon for the transition. The wild side is a state of grace and exploding one’s own myth making, in these workshops. People expose much of their own underbellies, and writer about their deepest fears and sometimes redemptions.
In a time of overblown celebrity – from actors, performers, athletes and rich folk – we need to valorize the people, we the people, the staff of life, regular Joe Blow and Jane Somebody. We need to flip the script, so to speak, and honor those of us who have journeyed paths less traveled.
That sometimes quiet life is undergirded with fantastic accomplishments. If I could bend Oprah’s or Mackenzie Scott Tuttle’s (Bezos’ ex) ear, I’d propose a deeply enriching Netflix series about people in regular circumstances who have survived untold crazy stuff life dishes out. I’d interview them, and then I and other memoir guides would workshop with them to crack open these stories.
Who’d read these incredible tales as paperbacks – sort of a 21st Century “Great Expectations,” without the big bucks and glory? I’ve talked to hundreds of people over the years as a journalist, college writing instructor, and social worker, and hands down, there are 1,001 stories to be told.
As Charles Dickens writes, “Suffering has been stronger than all other teaching, and has taught me to understand what your heart used to be. I have been bent and broken, but – I hope – into a better shape.”
Ahh, and even our own Henry Thoreau stated it plainly: “Give me the poverty that enjoys true wealth.”

Newspapers are dying dying gone. And Substack and podcasts just will NOT cut it for a community to come together to put feet of the officials and “the man” and businesses and “the government” under a fire.
Emblematic and sad: I ended up with two undergraduate degrees, in 1979, and that journalism one was already leaking big fucking time. Daily newspapers dying, so big, or mid sized cities leaking competitive am and pm rags — and so here we are now, monopolies, bitches and bastards censoring the news since they (billionaires and others with moolah) buy up truth.
PORTLAND, Ore. – An Oregon weekly newspaper has had to lay off its entire staff and halt print after 40 years because its money was embezzled by a former employee, its editor said, in a devastating blow to a publication that serves as an important source of information in a community that, like many others nationwide, is struggling with growing gaps in local news coverage.
About a week before Christmas, the Eugene Weekly found inaccuracies in its bookkeeping, editor Camilla Mortensen said. It discovered that a former employee who was “heavily involved” with the paper’s finances had used its bank account to pay themselves $90,000 since at least 2022, she said.
The paper also became aware of at least $100,000 in unpaid bills – including to the paper’s printer – stretching back several months, she said.
Additionally, multiple employees, including Mortensen, realized that money from their paychecks that was supposed to be going into retirement accounts was never deposited.
When the paper realized it couldn’t make the next payroll, it was forced to lay off all of its 10 staff members and stop its print edition, Mortensen said. The alternative weekly, founded in 1982, printed 30,000 copies each week to distribute for free in Eugene, the third-largest city in the state and home to the University of Oregon.
“To lay off a whole family’s income three days before Christmas is the absolute worst,” Mortensen said, expressing her sense of devastation. “It was not on my radar that anything like this could have happened or was happening.”
The suspected employee had worked for the paper for about four years and has since been fired, Mortensen said.
The Eugene police department’s financial crimes unit is investigating, and the paper’s owners have hired forensic accountants to piece together what happened, she said.
Brent Walth, a journalism professor at the University of Oregon, said he was concerned about the loss of a paper that has had “an outsized impact in filling the widening gaps in news coverage” in Eugene. He described the paper as an independent watchdog and a compassionate voice for the community, citing its obituaries of homeless people as an example of how the paper has helped put a human face on some of the city’s biggest issues.
He also noted how the paper has made “an enormous difference” for journalism students seeking internships or launching their career. He said there were feature and investigative stories that “the community would not have had if not for the weekly’s commitment to make sure that journalism students have a place to publish in a professional outlet.”
A tidal wave of closures of local news outlets across the country in recent decades has left many Americans without access to vital information about their local governments and communities and has contributed to increasing polarization, said Tim Gleason, the former dean of the University of Oregon’s journalism school.
“The loss of local news across the country is profound,” he said. “Instead of having the healthy kind of community connections that local journalism helps create, we’re losing that and becoming communities of strangers. And the result of that is that we fall into these partisan camps.”
An average of 2.5 newspapers closed per week in the U.S. in 2023, according to researchers at Northwestern University. More than 200 counties have no local news outlet at all, they found, and more than half of all U.S. counties have either no local news source or only one remaining outlet, typically a weekly newspaper. (source = Embezzlement of Oregon weekly newspaper’s money forces it to lay off entire staff and halt print — AP [and AP is a shadow of itself!!] )
Yah, I am training to be a school bus driver. I’ve written about it in previous pieces, and that’s First Student, a foreign outfit in 49 states, 7 Canadian provinces, and it’s an equity firm out of Belgium. Bidding on school district transportation contracts far and wide, and alas, this Belgium company is getting paid by guess who?
USA and Canadian taxpayers footing the bill and reaping the poor services. This is what they call the public-private arrangement, again, what is a low level form of socialized payola for private companies while the taxpayer is screwed. As if the public and our governments and our states and our national funding can’t take care of OUR own children’s food, education, and transportation needs: we have to go to a private equity fund to handle schools shuttling. How long will I last is a crap shoot, since this is it for Lincoln County — no luck getting past interviews for county, city and state jobs as a case manager or services coordinator, even though there is that great 10 million shortfall of men dropping out of the workforce.
Oh, shit, I’m almost 66, with too many college degrees and a resume way too long to get very far.
Ahh, I’m also a social worker, educator, writer, journalist and even someone in urban and regional planning, but I can’t get past the interview stage. Missing men, well, there are many reasons for this new phenomenon. In the uncritical thinking USA, we will not get much deep analyses, though, just plain black and white rationales.

The gender gap in college enrollment has been growing for decades and has broad implications for colleges and beyond: a loss of enrollment revenue, less viewpoint diversity on campus, and fewer men in jobs that require some college education. Some academics want to make clear that just because women outnumber men in college it doesn’t mean that gender-equity issues no longer remain.
This collection of Chronicle articles features news stories, analysis, advice, and opinion essays, including several articles that sounded a warning years ago. It also looks at how some colleges are trying to draw more men of all backgrounds — and help them succeed once they get there.

Don’t get me started on the nanny state, the reverse sexism, the anti-feminism bullshit female empowerment. Don’t get me started on the battle of the sexes, and don’t get me started on the sheeple aspect of education, social work, and nonprofit work. Don’t get me started, man.
I can go down a thousand rabbit holes or warrens, but the thing is I come back out, revitalized, smarter, and, sure more pissed off. This is the state of the world, under capitalism. A Belgium company in the USA and Canada is monopolizing on school transportation. No union shop, $19 an hour here in Lincoln county where home prices and gasoline and food are outrageous and where other districts might pay more per hour.
Again, it’s a bunch of older folk, mostly women, driving buses at age 67, 71, 78. What the hell is that about?
I have also been a substitute teacher in this district, and I’ve written about that too: “Take Down this Blog, or Else! No job interview, no job offer, targeting by city, county, state honchos, watched by the pigs, shadowed by all the sub humans.” Of course, I was and still am mad as hell at my banishment teaching, and can’t accept it, or take it. Even writing this will get me scrutinized by those overlords of the HR subhuman species who spend countless millions of dollars a year on software applications that do snazzy background checks, credit checks, employment checks, reference checks, drug checks, and of course, in my case, Google Scans/Checks, looking for any anti-this or anti-that diatribes or even plain old inverted triangle journalism.
Let’s scoot over to the issue of the failing male, the males in the womb, those just out of the womb, and then the developing baby, child, kid, teen and we end up with 355 million Americanos and a shit load of chronic illnesses for EVERYONE, including the poor child, babes in the woods. The top ten:
What are the 7 main types of learning disabilities? The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed that developmental disabilities occur among all ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic groups. Children from ages 3 through 17 frequently have one or more developmental disabilities, such as:
ADHD
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Cerebral Palsy
Hearing Loss
Intellectual Disability
Learning Disability
Vision Impairment
Developmental Delays
In particular, psychology professionals should study these seven learning disabilities:
Auditory processing disorder. …
Language processing disorder. …
Nonverbal learning disabilities. …
Visual perceptual/visual motor deficit.
Types of Learning Disabilities
Dyscalculia A specific learning disability that affects a person’s ability to understand numbers and learn math facts.
Dysgraphia A specific learning disability that affects a person’s handwriting ability and fine motor skills.
Dyslexia A specific learning disability that affects reading and related language-based processing skills.
Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities Has trouble interpreting nonverbal cues like facial expressions or body language and may have poor coordination.
ADHD A disorder that includes difficulty staying focused and paying attention, controlling behavior and hyperactivity.
Dyspraxia A disorder which causes problems with movement and coordination, language and speech.
So here we are at, now, in a society with so many epigentic, developmental, gestational, chromosomal and neuro disabilities. So many youth are faced with a lifetime of struggle, even before crawling, and then in pre-K and then K12, and then as adults. If this were a socially just society, there would be trillions spent on finding out the causes and effects and then the effects as new causes for new effects on the individual gestating, and what it is that makes this such a prevalent issue in our Western Society. Schools are warehouses, for sure, and the school to prison pipeline is not some goof-ball concept. We’d be looking hard at the chemicals, the stressors, the mother and father and their own stressors. All the toxins in air, water, food, drugs, including EMFs, and just the lack of nutrition, the fatty liver disease in 1/3 of folk, and the failing sperm counts in men since 1950, and, well, the discussion of who is that village that takes to raise a child.
Everything in capitalism is ANTI-health, ANTI-human, ANTI-Learning, ANTI-community engagement. More and more children, and yes, mostly boys, are monitored in the classroom, those prisons, and the effect or affect is that there is little significant learning and developing going on inside the school and their brains. They are a nerved up/out or nervous wreck, and they are watched and graded and sent home with behavior reports.
Now is the time to pity the child. Our children, and of course, all those children hit with the wagers of war, the wagers of sanctions, the wagers of economic and health and food sanctions. Depleted uranium or lead in the pipes. All of those realities also tie into the flagging mental health, the growing pressures put upon mother, father, child, grandparents, the lot of them in education, et al.
This is the sickness of America:
In solidarity with Cuba, leaders and activists of all Left and democratic parties of India welcomed Aleida Guevara in Surjeet Bhavan.
To a packed hall, Aleida said that it is one thing to talk about an economic blockade and quite another to live under that blockade.
She narrated how no country was ready to even give easily available medicine for a five-year-old child only because of the fear of America. In spite of not being a milk producing country, Cuba supplies one litre milk daily for all children and the aged, by importing it from New Zealand which is expensive because of the high transportation costs.
They were forced to buy milk from far away New Zealand, as their northern neighbour, US is not ready to trade with Cuba. The sixty years of illegal and inhumane US blockade has taught Cuba to spread humanism through sending doctors to wherever they were in need. Cuba is just 90 kilometres away from the mighty imperialist super power US. Even then it can’t be defeated since it believes in the scientific principle of people’s unity and those who are united can never be defeated. “El pueblo unido, jamas sera vencido” (The people united, shall always be victorious). She said Cuba took arms for peace and defending their motherland. She asserted that Cuba believes in standing up for equality against any kind of barbarism in the world. Thanking the people of India for always standing with Cuba, she said that the people of Cuba will always treasure this solidarity and value it immensely. (source)
Milk, man, and the United Snakes of America is so so powerful, going after children far and wide. You know, Cuba never attacked the USA, never went to war, and alas, this is the power of the dirty capitalists, war mongers and some sick psychopaths. Medicines, medical equipment, air conditioners, food, and energy. This is the way of the rat, the USA RATON.
The entire psychiatry and psychology and sociology of oppression is what runs modern Western society. There are no right ways now to raise children, to support families, and to build community. It’s all about the private sector sucking up as much as the public sector can regurgitate to this thieves. While the children suffer, and while the entire shooting match is toast as we in a culture of pollution and gestational crimes and constant bombardment of children with poisons — from those in the plastics, chicken nuggets, lawn sprays, all the off gassing, all those artificial flavors — find it harder and harder to survive all the death traps that we know this society is unleashing at an earlier and earlier age.
We are in an age of behavior adjustment, brainwashing, mind control, sinister Stockholm Syndrome, general anxiety disorders created by social media and generalized hatefulness from the legislators and two-bit politicians. Checked out or challenged just looking at a book, we are in the new normal of trillion$ for the pigs of war, for SWAT teams, for the opposition to beat us down, to implode the family, to eradicate the human and humane family. These kiddos come onto the bus with behavior plans, with their little classroom check slips for the parents to mull over at home.
Mr. Hill stops reading aloud to his 4th grade students and turns to Anisa. “Anisa, you’re off task. Change your clip. I asked you once and you are still digging in your desk. Walk over and change it now.”
Anisa stands and walks across the classroom. Several of her peers make condescending comments under their breath. Anisa moves her clip from green to yellow and returns to her desk and puts her head down. Her nonverbal behaviors indicate that she’s angry, hurt, and frustrated.
A few minutes later, Josh raises his hand. Mr. Hill calls on him and Josh responds, “Anisa is off task again.”
Mr. Hill looks at Anisa and says, “Again? Please change your clip to red. One more problem and it will be another call home. You have to learn to pay attention.” (Source: Tear Down Your Behavior Chart! Lee Ann Jung Dominique Smith)
Freire gives the term “freedom” a specific meaning: it is the freedom to critically question and change the world. In other words, a person is free when they are able to understand and change their own conditions.
For Freire, education and oppression are connected, since education can be used either as a tool for oppression or as a method of liberation from oppression. Freire distinguishes between a pedagogy (a way of practicing education) that serves oppressors, and one that helps oppressed people understand and change their society. According to Freire, “freedom” (the freedom to critically question and change the world) requires people to gain a new understanding of how reality works. Changing the dominant understanding of history is a key part of this process. Freire sees education as useful not just for individual growth, but also for achieving social change. To expand on this point, he discusses social change as a necessary tool to achieve freedom and overthrow oppression. Within Freire’s framework, systems of oppression try to prevent radical social change so that they do not lose power. Throughout Pedagogy of the Oppressed, Freire draws heavily on the theories of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels—especially the concept of dialectics. A “dialectical” way of thinking starts with a “thesis” (an initial idea or proposition) and an “antithesis” (an idea that opposes or contradicts the thesis), and the interaction of these two ideas creates a “synthesis,” or a new idea that reconciles the conflict between the two original ideas. Feeling the burn yet, the absolute oppression instilled in the greatest country and system the world has ever seen?
Get a little primer on exactly what capitalism and inflation and the systems of Milton Friedman are all about here:
So when you say that inflation is only a monetary phenomenon, what Milton Friedman is saying is, “Don’t look at the power structure. Don’t look at how markets are structured. Don’t look at monopolies. Don’t look at how the wealthy corporations are inflating [prices]. Look at something that we can blame on labor.”
The inflation that Milton Friedman talks about — and you just mentioned my old boss’s boss Paul Volcker — is wages. So when the Federal Reserve talks about inflation, they say, “It’s really wages rising.” Well, we know that wages have not risen anywhere near as fast as the cost of living, so that can’t be the reason — that wages are rising.
But if you can claim that inflation is only caused by labor making too much money and hurting other workers as consumers, then you have the Federal Reserve able to come in and say, “We’ve got to have a depression. We’ve got to have unemployment. We’re going to raise interest rates because we want more unemployment to increase the reserve army of the unemployed so that wage earners will be so desperate for a job that they’ll work for less. And if only they worked for less, then prices will come down, if somehow the companies are going to lower their prices because they can pay their labor less.”
The pretense is that it’s all labor’s fault.
We are all on this behavior and consequence chart. We, that is, the 80 Percenters who have 8 percent of wealth in the USA, compared to the Point Zero Zero One Percent, the One Percent and 19 Percent holding 92 percent of the money-power-possession chart. We mustn’t act up, mustn’t question the boss, mustn’t wonder why the oppressors are our neighbors, the ones our taxpaying work funds, or why so many Americanos believe this is it for Nirvana — the USA, greatest invention in human kind since the wheel.
Oh, those progressives are capitalists to their bones:
Liz Warren shifted from supporting Medicare for All to advocating a two-phased approach intended to build support for a single-payer model (in which the federal government would provide health insurance for every person in the U.S.), by first creating a federally based plan to compete with private insurers and expanding access to Medicare.Elizabeth Warren Says She’s ‘a Capitalist To My Bones’ And Positions Herself as FDR’s Heir
And that is THAT capitalism —
“Inflammation is the body’s appropriate response to damage, or the threat of damage,” says Rupa Marya, a physician and co-founder of the Do No Harm Coalition. “We’re learning that the social structures around us, the environmental, political structures around us, are tuning the immune system to sound out the full range of inflammation.” Raj Patel adds that “capitalism primes bodies … for sickness.” (“Inflamed”: Dr. Rupa Marya & Raj Patel on Deep Medicine & How Capitalism Primes Us for Sickness)
Imagine that, all those children, and I am not talking about those with allergies, with multiple chronic illnesses, including diabetes and asthma, caught in this vice which is CAPITALISM.
Daily, we are oppressed, and as the digital oppressors get more powerful, everything about us will be transhumanist, and we will be abiding by retinal scans, saliva analyses, galvanic skin response tests, and then the body will be the internet of physiology, the absolute bot world of nano things controlling the entire human experience, and that’s not just heart rate and BP, but thoughts.
Below, I find these on the bus floors much of the time. The children leave them in their desks at school. They are on the playgrounds with orange peels wrapped inside. Oh, the behaviorists. The mind benders. The psyops, the dead-end Americans, paying for the tools of Nazi War, and now, how many teachers are talking about the Doomsday Clock to their high schoolers, just to broach the issue?
Hell, people do not talk about Ukraine and the pimping of weapons of child-killing in public or at the workplace. These bosses, like the Belgium First Student honchos, send memos out on what can and cannot be said during election A or election B at the workplace.
And we wonder why so many neuro-normal (sic) people are checked out. Trauma: The Science of Stuck – Britt Frank, baby, trauma!
This is Startup to Storefront, and on today’s episode, we are unpacking the science of how to get unstuck. It’s no coincidence that that’s also the title of the book written by our guest today: author, psychotherapist, and trauma specialist, Britt Frank. Britt knows a thing or two about getting unstuck, as she has battled everything from meth addiction to sexual abuse. She emerged from that trauma with a new outlook on life, a Master of Social Work degree, and a desire to help others overcome their own hurdles. These hurdles vary from individual to individual, but when it comes to entrepreneurship, it’s not uncommon for someone to put up a mental blockade that prevents them from moving forward. Getting over this mental blockade that inhibits you from progressing forward is what we are dissecting today.
In today’s episode we discuss:
– Why you don’t need every friend to be a best friend
– How Covid didn’t create a mental health crisis, it just exposed the one we already had
– The power behind changing your why’s to whats. So roll up your sleeves and let’s start the process of getting unstuck.
The Science of Stuck – Britt Frank,
Ahh, my friend in Wisconsin, Mister Fish or Toothless in North Arkansas, well, he sent me this. God we hate judges (sic) and DA’s and PB’s and lawyers of any kind. We will all be on Zoom or in cages facing the criminal injustice system.
and the so-called woke artists will be used as pawns . . . so more live shit in a rural county I have to forego!!
I was interested in some jazz, some live music, and then this — that terrorist group hosting it, running it, taking over the Black History Month about it.
Imagine, the fucking concert, spoken word even, I am sure, will be a tribute to the great genocidal Isra-Hell, and yet another black face performance will be plied for that purpose. See our Lincoln County Feb. event below.
First, thouse What is the message to non-Jewish leaders in the region?
B’nai B’rith’s CEO Dan Mariaschin: Especially to the democracies: let them all know that this is the time to support the only democracy in the Middle East because if you don’t defend the way of life of a democratic country, all the other democratic countries are in danger of the same thing happening to them. If Hamas had been victorious in what they did, believe me they are still for Europe and they are still against the Arab monarchies in the region, because they would continue until they form their caliphate. So it’s important for everyone to support what Israel is doing now.
A high-profile European Union official says she is “deeply honored” to receive an award from a group that supports Israel’s illegalsettlements in the occupied West Bank and war crimes in Gaza.
Katharina von Schnurbein is receiving the “Human Rights Prize” from the European branch of B’nai B’rith, an international Jewish communal organization.
B’nai B’rith denies that there is an Israeli military occupation in the West Bank in the first place.
Its leaders haverepeatedlyissuedstatementsdenouncing anyone who uses the word occupation to accurately describe the legal and brutal physical reality of Israel’s decades-long military rule over millions of Palestinians who are denied their most fundamental rights.
And when Israel was slaughtering 11 children per day in the occupied Gaza Strip during the summer of 2014, B’nai B’rith Europe sent a “solidarity mission” to support the soldiers who were doing the killing.
In short, B’nai B’rith is a pro-occupation, pro-apartheid, anti-Palestinian organization that forcefully rejects even the EU’s most minimal and ineffective efforts to oppose Israel’s settlements on occupied Palestinian land. (Source)
If premeditated murderers like Henry Kissinger (Viet Nam), Shimon Peres (The Butcher of Qana), Barack Obama (multiple, multiple unjust and unnecessary wars, and grovelling to the Israel Lobby), anyone could win a, Piece (no misspelling) Prize, than why shouldn’t Katharina Von Schnurbein? In fact, in an age where being a mass murderer, promoting virulent hate, advancing Islamophobia, encouraging needless, senseless, wars, seeing white, and only white, Jews as defining “real” Jewishness, like B’nai B’rith, ADL, AIPAC, ZOA, Hillel, et al anyone could receive an Ignominious Piece of a Prize. Big deal!
from Oregon Coast Today: Acclaimed as “bold, stylistically diverse, rhythmically rich,” “My Words Are My Sword” is a groundbreaking musical drama for actor and orchestra that fuses jazz, hip-hop and classical music.
The Siletz Bay Music Festival will present the piece on Friday, Feb. 9, in a celebration of Black History Month with two performances at the B’nai B’rith Camp near Lincoln City.
The evening’s event will also serve to honor the life and work of the late Yaacov “Yaki” Bergman, who provided the festival with guidance and inspiration as its longtime artistic director prior to his untimely death in 2023. A reception will follow the concert.
A celebration of Black music, culture and history, the piece was written by poet and actor Darius Wallace in collaboration with Portland-based, Brazilian-born pianist and composer Jasnam Daya Singh and with Bergman, who first presented the work in 2022 with performances by the Portland Chamber Orchestra and the Walla Walla Symphony, both of which he served as conductor.
Many of the Portland Chamber Orchestra’s members will travel to the coast for the presentation in Lincoln City. A full orchestra will perform the piece, conducted by Raúl Gómez-Rojas, music director of Portland’s Metropolitan Youth Symphony. Gómez-Rojas has won accolades for his guest performances with the Oregon Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic, Nashville Symphony, Louisiana Philharmonic and Oregon Ballet Theatre, among others.
“This is one of the freshest, most unvarnished and relevant new works we could share with our audience in times of so much division and hunger for hope and reconciliation,” said Bergman at the time of the work’s premiere. “The work explores the magical word ‘if’ and how true liberation grows from an understanding of the manifestation of self within body, mind, soul and spirit, specifically toward a people but universally towards all. The term ‘Blackness’ is redefined through story, monologue, characterization, poetry and song as it addresses current issues with the buried history of Black bravery and excellence.”
Currently based in Memphis, Wallace is a founding company member of that city’s Tennessee Shakespeare Festival and has performed extensively around the country in schools, universities, theaters and libraries in a one-man show as Frederick Douglass. In writing “My Words Are My Sword,” Wallace has “incorporated text from the speeches of Martin Luther King Jr., poetry by Langston Hughes and Richard Wright, the writings of Malcolm X and a reenactment of Douglass’ childhood history.
Composer Singh is a Latin Grammy-nominated concert and jazz pianist whose performances in many countries have earned worldwide acclaim for their innovative style and virtuosity. His music draws from a broad range of influences, including the samba music of his native Brazil, straight-ahead jazz and the European classical tradition.
The Siletz Bay Music Festival was founded to bring multi-genre world-class music performed by outstanding musicians to the area, reaching across race, culture, age, social and economic barriers and providing extraordinary musical experiences.
On Friday, Feb. 9, the 1:30 pm concert will be presented free for area students in grades 7 through 12. The evening performance will begin at 7 pm, with tickets priced at $40 and $15 for students. B’nai B’rith Camp is located at 3509 NE East Devils Lake Road, just outside Lincoln City. For more information and tickets, go to http://www.siletzbaymusic.org
Blackness and Jews?
Under international law, Israel cannot forcibly send migrants back to a country where their life or liberty may be at risk.
Ahead of an official visit to Cyprus, Netanyahu said the ministerial team was seeking to deport 1,000 supporters of the Eritrean government who were involved in Saturday’s violence.
“They have no claim to refugee status. They support this regime,” Netanyahu said. “If they support the regime so much, they would do well to return to their country of origin.”
About 25,000 African migrants live in Israel, mainly from Sudan and Eritrea, who say they fled conflict or repression. Israel recognizes very few as asylum seekers, seeing them overwhelmingly as economic migrants, and says it has no legal obligation to keep them.
Continued, defending Defamation: Checkpoint Full Film- By Yoav Shamir
I dispute David Hirsh’s criticism of my film about antisemitism. Far from ‘easy targets’, it is a difficult debate Israel must have
In David Hirsh’s critique of my film Defamation, he accused me of finding “easy targets” as subjects for my film. I can only assume that “targets” is common terminology for him; quite simply, all the subjects in my film (including him) are people who willingly chose to participate.
Let me start with the first person he chose to label “an easy target”: my beloved 94-year-old grandmother. My grandmother lost her husband, my biological grandfather, in the 1948 war of independence, in which he served as an officer with the forces defending Jerusalem; she was left with two young children, my mother and her brother (he is the Israeli ambassador in Germany). She then married the man I knew as a grandfather, an Auschwitz survivor who became a freedom fighter in the Ezel – the underground movement that operated alongside the Haganah and Lechi.
My grandmother loved the film and was proud to take part. Hirsh sees her as an “easy target”, and although I personally completely disagree with what she stated on camera, her perspective represents the very early Zionists thinkers such as Nordau, who wrote Degeneration, and Herzel, “the visionary of the [Jewish] state”. This small and marginal group (representing less than 3% of the entire Jewish population at the time) were young, secular, socialist Jews who wanted to create a “muscle” Jew; a Jew who would be different from all of what they resented in their parents’ generation. My grandmother is a genuine representative of this school of thought. She opens the film, not only because she is a great character who expresses what many people of her generation and, in fact, many Israelis feel toward tdiaspora Jews, but she is a reminder of the vicious cycle that Zionism became caught in – the state that was supposed to be a cure for what antisemitism started, as both Foxman and Finkelstein are actually saying, has ended up generating antisemitism.
The next “easy target” is the ADL. I don’t see how an organisation operating on $70,000,000 a year can be considered an easy target. Abe Foxman, whom I actually like and have a great sympathy for, is one of the most influential figures in the Jewish world of diplomacy, who meets with world leaders, heads of states and foreign ministers. When I approached the ADL, I came with the intention of learning, and after spending many hours with Foxman and key members of the ADL, I believe that they are doing what they are doing because of their true concern for Israel, and a real wish to help the Jewish state. Unfortunately, even though I can understand their drive, I totally disagree with it.
A scene that I witnessed, at the end of their Auschwitz visit, is a sort of game in which each of the ADL members has to name five non-Jewish friends who would hide him if someone came knocking at their door – with reference to the Nazis passing from house to house looking for Jews. As the game continued and none of them could think of five gentiles who would protect them, they then go down to three, then one … and sadly, they cannot think of a one righteous soul who would come to their aid. The lesson is, as Foxman’s book is appropriately titled, “never again”. I am happy to say that, at least in in my Tel Aviv social circle, this is not a very popular game; in fact, I was quite shocked to have witnessed it in Auschwitz. But it was a great insight into that mindset.
In their blind support of Israel, which is the supposed means for fulfilling this “never again” dictum, they are contributing to a place that is driving itself towards the edge of a cliff. Thanks to US support, the drive is a very smooth, air-conditioned and fast. But, nevertheless, it is headed towards a cliff.
I can only encourage every Jew living in the western world, when next visiting Israel, to detour from the 433 Highway into the capital and accompany an Arab Israeli in his search for an apartment in one of the Jewish cities (such as Tel Aviv, Holon and Petach Tikva) and to take a short trip into Nablus or Ramallah. If they have any sense of human dignity, it will change the way they look at the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
But I am sure that most of the educated, liberal and mostly very pleasant people I met in my travels with the ADL are blinded by a false image of Israel. An image that blinds them as they travel from Ben Gurion airport to the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, to the many empty holiday apartments they keep in Jerusalem, which they occupy maybe one week a year; on the 443 Highway, which is prohibited for the Palestinians to travel, although it passes right through the middle of their land. No “easy targets” here, but simply a group of very influential group of people who will go to great lengths defending and securing their “insurance policy” – Israel.
David Hirsh also referred to the interviews with the group of black residents whom I met in Crown Heights, where both blacks and Jews live, although in fairly segregated circumstances. In this scene, a local Jewish reporter claims that if a (black) robber wanted to rob someone, he would choose a Jewish person, because “a Jewish person would be an easier target”. The black residents replied that “actually, if they got caught robbing a Jewish guy, the judges would sentence them to more [prison] time because they would classify it as a hate crime”. They went on, expressing many stereotypes about Jews, ending up with a sad reference to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Is this antisemitism? Of course it is. The question is, what would be the best way to deal with it? A wise local rabbi acknowledged the problem but blames the ADL for inflaming situations like these, because, as he says, “Foxman needs a job.”
Finally, we come to the group of “15-year-old Israeli students on their trip to Poland”, as Hirsh says (in fact, the students were between 17 and 18 years old during the filming, and as you are reading these lines many of them have enlisted in the Israeli army). When the film came out in Israel, I invited the whole class and their parents to the premiere at Doc Aviv documentary film festival. These intelligent young high school students responded very openly and honestly to the film. Adi, the young woman who is one of the main protagonists in the class, told me that it gave her a lot to think about and thanked me for making the film. Their teacher, Assaf, responded in a similar way.
I don’t blame these kids for acting the way they did. Most of them were flying out of Israel for the first time, and being brought up thinking that everybody hates them, find themselves in a cycle that is very hard to break.
I could go on further to address the rest of these “easy targets” Hirsh accuses me of taking advantage, such as Norman Finkelstein, a bestselling author and academic; Dina Porat, head of the center for research on antisemitism at Tel Aviv university; or Charles Jakob, who is very active online, but I think the point is clear: these are people who are passionate about their views and are very happy to share them with me. I am a filmmaker who simply gave them the floor.
Hirsh wonders why is my narration in English? This is a version narrated for an English-speaking audience, and obviously my narration is in Hebrew for the version shown in Israel. In Germany, it will probably be dubbed into German; in France, into French, and so on. There is no hidden agenda about the intended audience, simply basic requirements set by different broadcasters.
Hirsh concludes his article by regretting that he was not invited to speak at this year’s conference about how to combat antisemitism convened by the Israeli foreign office, which he attributes as probably caused by his appearance the film. But I can inform him that, at this year’s conference, Abe Foxman stated that the situation of antisemitism is the worst since the second world war, just as he had said last year and just as he will probably say next year, too.
At the conference I filmed, Hirsh regrets he came out as a hero – his interpretation, of course, as I never declared him one. But in that year, he was the only one speaker who said anything disputing the general consensus and for that, I thought he deserved credit.
It is true there are many Israelis who oppose the occupation and other violations of human rights; but unfortunately, there are not enough. The current Israeli government is the most nationalist, rightwing government in the history of the state of Israel. Those few who oppose and fight against racism, and violations of human rights, risking their freedom – last week, the head of the Israeli human rights association was arrested for demonstrating against the taking over of Palestinian homes in east Jerusalem – those I consider heroes. In fact, my new film is about these unsung heroes.
Defamation is the personal quest of an Israeli Jew trying to understand certain aspects of his society and raising issues that I, living in Israel, don’t think are discussed enough. I am very happy to read all the comments and debates the film has started in the UK: starting a discussion around this subject is something I was waiting for and the many responses here just prove that it is a discussion many are interested in. As for David Hirsh, I warmly invite him, next time he is in Israel, to join me for a tour of the occupied territories.
