If only, if only that Trump would strap him on an ICBM and head to fucking his religious brothers in Jewish State of Rape and Murder and Starvation:

Instead, the dough boy, the guy who won a bowling participation award in that queer military “school,” has his hard-on for tattooed cunts in uniform!

There is a number sitting in a federal budget spreadsheet that almost nobody has read. It is not classified. It is not hidden behind a FOIA wall. It is right there, in a Treasury Department table published every month, the way it has been published every month for decades.

The number is $7.3 billion.

That is what ICE spent in January 2026. In one month. On detention facilities.

To put that in terms that mean something: the entire annual budget of NASA is $24.4 billion. ICE spent nearly a third of that — in 31 days — building cages.

This is the syphilis and chlamydia of America, and China better get some cultural translators soon, because, Trump IS America, do not be fooled by our university and college system. Fucking infantile and dirty and pussy grabbing and Howrd Sterm and Kid Rock and the entire fucking Jewish Controlled Holly-Dirt and Music Industry, turning Goy into, well, dementia addled Trump.

  • The Context: Xi shared his literary interests during a major U.S.-China policy speech in Seattle in September 2015.
  • American Influence: In addition to Thomas Paine and the Federalist Papers, he stated he was interested in the life stories of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Franklin D. Roosevelt.
  • Literary Reads: Beyond Whitman, he also mentioned reading works by Henry David Thoreau, Mark Twain, and Jack London.

They had little girls greet Trump when he arrived in China. Coincidence or message?

And so while Trump plays with his limp dick and dreams of those Chinese girls that greeted him, the Ellison and Altman and Karp and Fink Jew World is working overtime:

“Digital Enslavement” is a Subtle Weapon of Social Subordination and Global Control

In a recent Buddhist retreat in Lima, Peru, about 200 participants were urged to abstain for the three-day retreat from our enslavement screens, “smart” phones, computers and television.

Difficult to say how many really followed the advice, but many did.

What was amazing is that during the first day, ignoring constant phone notifications was not easy for the many. But consciously resisting it made it easier. And the following days, we were hardly thinking of them anymore. The days were filled with meditation and different types of spiritual exercises… the digital age was peacefully removed into a corner.

Unfortunately, after the retreat, the hide-out corner became lively again and took up again most of our attention, in “angst” of what we may have missed during the highly divine retreat. Spirituality must have gradually evaporated again… and what we call “reality” kicked in.

Interestingly, what we call “reality” is a fake, indoctrinated reality. Over years we were told that technical advances, or as the World Economic Forum (WEF’s) Great Reset calls it, The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) is a concept describing how emerging technologies are blurring the lines between the physical, digital, and biological worlds. It fundamentally alters how we live, work, and relate to one another.

Sending messages, videos, and silly jokes, rather than talking to each other, interchanging with physically presence. Along with this brainwashing propaganda, we were drugged with the belief that working from home is full of advantages. It is an outright lie.

These “work-from-home” benefits are geared to separate us from one another so that physical interaction is avoided, making us more manipulable, controllable and dispensable, capable of being replaced by robots, and eventually by Artificial Intelligence (AI).

And mind you, the 4IR was illegally approved by the United Nations (UN). There was a not-well-known Cooperation Agreement signed between the WEF and the UN in Geneva in June 2019 that established an unequivocal link between the UN (created by 51 nations (today 193 member nations) in October 1945 in San Francisco) and the world’s by far richest NGO, the WEF, established in Geneva Switzerland.

The UN was created to guarantee peace in the world, to make sure that no more wars, especially World Wars (WW), that would ravage planet earth. That principle is anchored in the UN Charter. The WEF is owned and run by BlackRock, the world’s largest financial asset manager, controlling together with Vanguard, an interchangeable partner, and StateStreet, a close associate, some 25 to 30 trillion US dollars equivalent in assets, controlling literally every sector of vital industries and services, like energy, food, transport, health but also of the world’s weapon industrial complex. It is a blatant contradiction to the UN Charter. The UN is controlled by financial behemoths, with powers way beyond BlackRock.

The 4IR is, therefore, not a human-friendly program. It is a global control mechanism, that could be right out of Orwell’s “1984” – but way more complex, dangerous and deadly.

Unlike previous revolutions, 4IR is not just about smart machines and systems; it is characterized by a lightning-fast convergence of diverse technologies. The WEF highlights several core pillars:

  • Digital: Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, and blockchain.
  • Physical: Autonomous vehicles, 3D printing (additive manufacturing), and advanced materials.
  • Biological: Gene editing (CRISPR), synthetic biology, and neurotechnology.

Zionism is not ‘white supremacy’!!!

Some of my most intelligent friends here insist that Zionism is a form of ‘white supremacy’. Without delving into the most problematic notion of ‘white supremacy’, I would state my disagreement with this equation.

What we see in Israel is a celebration of Jewish Supremacy, and that lethal supremacy has little in common with any other forms of supremacy we are familiar with.

It is theologically guided, driven by a biological determinist ideology, sustained by a global lobby, and simultaneously protected by an apparatus of fake Jewish ‘dissent’ that prevents any discussion of the true nature of this unique supremacy. Remember: Jewish power is the power to prevent criticism of Jewish power. Jewish dissent is essential for that power to prevail.

But I do understand where the mistaken equation originates. There is, of course, historic truth in the belief that Zionism is a ‘white thing’. Zionism was indeed a ‘white Jewish’ invention. Its founders were all Ashkenazi European Jews. It is most likely that when early Zionist agitators promised to make Jews “people like all other people” (Herzl & Co), what they meant was “make the Jews people like all other white people”. What they created in practice is a Jewish State that has proven to be like no other people, a global nightmare, a threat to human existence, and is responsible for the most documented genocide in human history.

We will start to move forward in understanding this morbid phenomenon and tackling its genocidal inclinations once and only once we stop imposing it on irrelevant historic models such as: colonialism, postcolonialism, settler colonialism, apartheid, white supremacy etc. and instead focus on the most obvious issue: understanding the nature, origin, history and theology of Jewish Supremacy as a unique phenomenon in human history.

“Without weapons, we can do anything”: The story of Rozan al-Najjar

Through her courage, sacrifice, and deep humanity, this special Palestinian woman showed that even without weapons, one person can resist oppression and defend life.

Ahmed Abu Artema

In an age of madness, war, and the rise of fascist and racist currents, the world’s need grows greater to know about inspiring individuals—people who dedicated their lives to spreading love, who possessed nothing but words and faith to resist oppression, and who left behind a legacy of light.

For this reason, I share the story of Rozan al-Najjar.

Rozan was a young Palestinian volunteer paramedic in Gaza. She worked tirelessly to save the lives of those injured by Israeli snipers during the Great March of Return. While trying to save others, she herself was killed by the Israeli soldiers, becoming an icon of that movement.

I tell Rozan’s story not only because it is inspiring, but because the world needs more people like her.

In Gaza, I was among those who initiated the call for the Great March of Return in 2018. What began as an idea quickly turned into a mass movement, with more than one hundred thousand Palestinians participating in nonviolent demonstrations near the separation fence over nearly two years.

The protesters carried no weapons. Their tools were peaceful gathering, cultural activities, and collective presence. Their aim was to protest the slow suffocation imposed on Gaza and to demand the right of return for Palestinian refugees.

Protest Days

On the evening of Friday, June 1, 2018, I returned home after participating in the demonstrations for the tenth consecutive Friday. The protests were held at five main locations along the separation fence.

That day, I had been at Malaka Square, east of Gaza City. As I headed home, I felt some relief. There had been no immediate reports of casualties, and the day seemed calmer than previous Fridays, which had often been marked by deadly repression by the Israeli occupation army.

But that feeling did not last.

When I opened social media, I was met with a flood of posts mourning Rozan. It was the first time I had heard her name. Yet people were not writing, “A nurse was killed.” They were writing, “Rozan was killed.” It was clear she was already deeply known.

That night, her words spread widely: “I am in the field to save the lives of my people. I began my journey here, and I will end it here. I work with courage and determination. I receive no salary, nor do I expect reward or thanks. It is enough that God rewards me.”

In a previous interview, Rozan explained that she had been present in Khuzaʿa, east of Khan Younis, from the very first day of the Great March on March 30, 2018. She worked continuously from early morning until late evening, treating around 170 injuries in a single day—30 caused by live ammunition.

She described one of her hardest moments: treating two critically injured people at once. After saving one, she returned to the other—only to find that he had died before she could reach him.

Despite such experiences, she never left the field.

Relentless Courage

Rozan’s dedication was absolute. From the beginning of the protests, she remained in the field without interruption, driven by a deep sense of purpose.

In another interview, she said: “I fainted from tear gas. When I woke up in the ambulance, I panicked and begged them to let me go back. I did not come to be treated—I came to treat others.”

On that occasion, her wrist had been broken. Her colleagues tried to take her to the hospital so she could rest and receive treatment. She refused—even refusing to have her hand properly set—because she feared it would prevent her from continuing her work.

She summarised her mission in one powerful sentence: “Without weapons, we can do anything.” These words captured the spirit of the movement—and her own belief in nonviolent resistance.

The day after her killing, I attended her funeral and visited her family home in Khan Younis. Her mother stood before cameras holding Rozan’s bloodstained medical vest and said: “This is Rozan’s weapon—the one she carried, and for which Israel killed her.”

Photograph: Middle East Eye/Mohammed Asad

Rozan came from a poor refugee family originally from the village of Salama, from which they were forcibly displaced by Zionist militias in 1948. Her dream was to return there one day, and this dream was one of the motivations behind her participation in the March of Return.

From childhood, she dreamed of becoming a doctor. Poverty prevented her from achieving this dream, but her determination to help others never faded.

She enrolled in a first aid course and saved her small allowance until she could buy a medical kit. Once she had it, she went directly to the field to help the wounded.

Her compassion was evident from a young age. She constantly thought about the poor and the marginalised. She once told her mother that she wished she had enough money so that no one would be in need—that she could make all poor people happy.

She would cry during holidays, upset that some families could afford multiple outfits while others could not afford even one.

Her sense of justice developed early. While watching a historical film, she was deeply affected by a scene showing the torture of Bilal. She asked her mother whether he was being tortured because of his faith or because he was Black—revealing a deep awareness of injustice.

Her mother once asked her, half-jokingly, if she intended to solve all the world’s problems alone. Rozan replied: “Aren’t these poor people human beings just like us?”

Enduring Legacy

Rozan’s kindness extended into every aspect of her life. She shared everything she had. If she ate something outside the home, she would save part of it to bring back to her family.

She cared for her younger siblings as if she were their mother—watching over them at the beach, giving up her own enjoyment to ensure their safety, and covering them at night while they slept.

One day, as a child, she overheard her father saying he had no money to feed the family. She began to cry and then offered him her small savings—just a few dollars—insisting he take it to help support the household.

She rejected gossip and judgment. If anyone spoke badly about others, she would object strongly, asking: “Are you gods to judge people?”

She also avoided attention. Her mother recalled that she would cut interviews short and run back toward the sound of gunfire if she thought someone might need help. She used to say:

“I do not want people to know me. I want God to know me.”

After her death, I visited her Facebook page, reading her posts to understand her spirit. Her writing was sincere, sensitive, and deeply aligned with justice. She consistently expressed solidarity with the poor and rejected injustice.

Her final post, written on May 31—just hours before she was killed—read: “Your conscience will be comforted as long as God knows your intention. Be good.”

Deep Loss

Her loss deeply affected people. Even months later, her story continued to resonate.

Investigations, including one by The New York Times in collaboration with Forensic Architecture, concluded that she was shot by an Israeli sniper while clearly identifiable as a medic and that neither she nor those around her posed any threat.

Yet even without such investigations, Palestinians know this reality intimately, having lived under decades of violence and loss.

In 2019, while I was visiting the United States, I stayed with an American Jewish woman. I arranged a phone call between her and Rozan’s mother. During the call, the woman broke down in tears and asked: “Why does Israel commit these acts in our name?”

Rozan’s life raises painful questions—but also offers a powerful answer. She lived a short life, but one filled with meaning. She devoted herself entirely to helping others, embodying compassion, dignity, and selflessness. She was present in this world, yet carried a spirit that seemed beyond it.

Rozan is an icon of beauty and purity. Israel hates beauty because it reminds it of its ugliness. There is nothing uglier than establishing a murderous, racist, colonial regime. She showed us that even in a world torn apart by violence, injustice, and hatred, it is still possible to choose love. And in doing so, she left behind something enduring: Proof that without weapons, we can still change the world.

Do you get it yet, this fucking Stockholm Syndrome and this Holocaust Industry and this fucking Jewish control of YOUR FUCKING MINDS?

Growing bread queues in Gaza as Israel restricts fuel, flour imports

Bread shortages deepen in Gaza as flour imports dwindle and bakeries struggle to meet rising demand amid fuel scarcity.

Gaza is facing multiple crises, alongside the bread shortage, including a sharp decrease in cooking gas supplies, which were already limited. The provision of cooking gas, overseen by Gaza’s Ministry of Economy through gas distributors and stations, has slowed from once every six weeks to once every three months due to the limited quantities Israel allows into the enclave.

The price of firewood, an alternative fuel for cooking and baking, has also risen.

The difficulty of baking bread at home means that Palestinians in Gaza are increasingly reliant on bread from bakeries.

Raytheon awarded contract to develop next-generation software-defined radar capability for U.S. Navy

Bread, or radar? Under the contract, Raytheon’s Advanced Technology team will develop software that allows each building block within a radar to operate independently. According to the company, this would enable a single radar to conduct multiple missions at the same time.

Raytheon said the approach treats each radar building block as an individual software-defined aperture. This architecture is intended to help radars adapt quickly to changing operational requirements and operate more effectively in crowded frequency bands shared with commercial networks, including 5G.

“The electromagnetic spectrum is more crowded than ever, and our systems have to be smarter about how they operate in it,” said Colin Whelan, president of Advanced Technology at Raytheon.

I’ve gone many weeks without talking about Venezuela, out of respect for its beautiful people, but with the detention and deportation to the US of former minister Alex Saab, I say ENOUGH. There was a betrayal of the homeland and Bolivarianism in favor of imperialism by kidnapping Maduro and murdering 33 Cubans.

It’s official. The Venezuelan government confirms the extradition of Alex Saab to the US. The statement makes no mention of his past roles as diplomatic envoy and minister, only that he’s a “Colombian national” and that it’s a “well-known fact” that he’s facing charges in the US.

I’m appalled by the Venezuelan regime’s extradition of my friend Alex Saab to the United States.

Minister Alex Saab worked tirelessly for years to smash brutal U.S. sanctions—delivering food, medicine, and essential goods to the Venezuelan people.

Now this spineless U.S. puppet regime, led by Delcy Rodríguez, has sold him out to face imprisonment and torture yet again.

Trump needs Venezuelans to testify against Maduro.

They know Alex would never lie or betray him—so they’ll torture him mercilessly to the brink of death to force false testimony.

If Venezuelans don’t rise up and overthrow the rat known as Delcy Rodriguez, you will never taste sovereignty again.

In Bolivia, the streets are burning. Some sources report that the miners are willing to use dynamite—the kind they evidently have in abundance—against the official buildings of the regime if the liberal stooge Rodrigo Paz doesn’t step down, a guy who’s been wreaking havoc on the Bolivian nation-people for a mere four months now.

All of that is very typical of Bolivia because down there, the folks at the bottom tend to organize fast when there’s leadership and the mummy doesn’t take long to rot. In Bolivia, the working stiff isn’t caught up in the cretinism of “we’ve got to give it time” and all that other nonsense. Paz, in four months, tried to pull a Milei, and now they want to put him on the grill.

What’s worth watching here isn’t what’s happening in Bolivia, but rather the behavior of the other stooge regimes in the region. To save Rodrigo Paz’s skin, the stooges from Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and five more Central American runts signed a statement repudiating the actions of the Bolivian people.

“We reject any action aimed at destabilizing the democratic order and altering the institutional framework of the constitutional government of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, democratically elected,” reads the statement from the stooges.

The key here is “democracy” as a synonym for institutionalism. For the stooges, a government is “democratic” because it was elected at the ballot box, and that gives it free rein to do whatever it wants against the people without the people having the right to jump to their own defense.

“Democracy,” for our filthy stooge elites—take a good look—is the electoral system of representation. They’ve reduced the demos and the kratos to a rigged vote run by the establishment itself, and it turns out that anything the demos has to say about it is “antidemocratic.” It’s a world turned upside down.

But no, we shouldn’t take the bait. In all times and places, democracy will always be popular power, and if that power says a certain leader has to resign, then the democratic thing is for them to resign, and all the people’s actions to make that resignation happen will be democratic too.

The democratic thing in Bolivia today, to sum it all up, is the dynamite of the patriotic and organized miners. Everything else is just chatter from stooge sodomites and eunuchs.

The U.S. prostitute in Venezuela (at the time, Delcy Rodríguez) has not hesitated to obey the new U.S. orders by extraditing to this country one of Venezuela’s and Nicolás Maduro’s strongmen: Alex Saab. After the circus mounted against Saab in the U.S. a few years ago and following the regime change in Venezuela, it was clear that Saab’s days were numbered and that he was going to join Maduro and his wife in the U.S. Saab’s arrest in February in Venezuela, ordered by Delcy at the FBI’s behest, and his deportation-extradition suggest a new level of collaboration between the CIA and its new Venezuelan mariachis, after Delcy placed Venezuela’s sovereignty and resources at Washington’s disposal.

Saab’s fate was a foregone conclusion. But there were still some leftist cretins around here who believed in the fairy tale of a post-Maduro Venezuela that kept intact the essences of whatever “Bolivarian revolution,” while others still believe it today, like the editor of that disgusting pamphlet called Le Monde Diplomatique, Ignacio Ramonet, and in the Americas the TeleSur network, which keeps peddling the Bolivarian scam with its “Venezuela resists.”

The event, billed as “Rededicate 250: A National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving,” is being held to “prepare” America for its 250th anniversary in July.

“We all left … We walked for days. We would rest, then continue walking,” he says. “We carried some of our belongings with us. We never imagined it would become a permanent exile.”

The family initially settled in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighbourhood before later moving to Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, where the harsh realities of refugee life began.

“We lived in tents. The rain and wind would flood them, the cold was unbearable, then came the scorching heat,” he says. “There was hunger, exhaustion, long lines for food and water, shared toilets, lice, poor sanitation … painful memories.”

Thugs? Many critics—including members of the law enforcement community—express frustration that the solemn intent of the week is sometimes overshadowed by heavy drinking, property damage, and disruptive behavior by visiting officers in host cities like Washington, D.C.

You don’t need to know anything about the origins of National Police Week to know that the police in America aren’t hated. They are revered and honored even when they don’t deserve it. Our laws have been bent to excuse their repeated misuse of deadly force, our public events are smothered in benedictions to those in blue, and our politicians continue to trip over one another claiming that the police, that most venerated of professions, represent instead some tortured minority needing even more legal protection than they already get.

Police in America are as safe as they have been in a generation working jobs that are far safer than jobs in many other American industries. Until they stop complaining about how the world is against them, until they start holding each other accountable for the misconduct in their ranks, Police Week will be just another reminder of what divides cops from their communities.

Underwritten by the National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund (NLEOMF), the week’s capstone event is scheduled for Tuesday evening, May 13, when a swelling crowd will overflow the east end of the National Mall to hear the roll call of on-duty officers who died last year. Their names will be added to the 24,067 already chiseled into the marble walls of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Judiciary Square, a short walk from the US Capitol. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will be the keynote speaker.

Despite the potent propaganda function of National Police Week and the NLEOMF, journalists, historians, and activists have failed to scrutinize the origins and significance of either. Having built the Judiciary Square memorial and its adjacent National Law Enforcement Museum, the NLEOMF is a powerful public relations machine that bolsters police solidarity through a steady drumbeat of messaging that theirs is an unfairly maligned and martyred profession. Both the museum and the group’s online stores sell all manner of merchandise stamped with the “Thin Blue Line” American flag—a controversial emblem decried by many as a white supremacist symbol.

National Police Week emerged from Jim Crow South Carolina as the handiwork of Olin Dewitt Johnston, a three-term governor elevated to the US Senate in 1944 months after the US Supreme Court struck down the white primary in Smith v. Allwright. As a defiant son of the Palmetto State, Johnston called the state legislature into extraordinary session and, in a torrent of hellfire, conjured the looming specter of a second Reconstruction: “Where you now sit,” he warned, “there [once] sat a majority of negroes. They left a stench in the nostrils of the people of South Carolina that will exist for generations to come.”

It’s Police Week in DC, which apparently means daily motorcades of ear-splitting, migraine-inducing sirens, blacked-out SUVs, and officers doing 50 in a 25 like it’s Grand Theft Auto: Patriot Edition.

At this point, it feels less like honoring service and more like a taxpayer-funded intimidation tour. Just another symptom of the rising authoritarianism in America, supercharged under Trump’s second term.

Two years ago:

This week is National Police Week. Last week, apparently, also was: it seems fitting that police would give themselves an even longer recognition week than others, even though they reliably get what they want out of elected officials at all levels.

The Republican House celebrated by passing two bills that would ultimately harm public safety.

The first, named the “Police Act,” would make being charged (charged, not even convicted) of “assaulting a law enforcement officer” a deportable offense. Assaulting a law enforcement, a charge that is often abused and overused by cops, is already a punishable crime. Aggravated felony convictions are already deportable offenses for undocumented immigrants.

As Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler noted in the minority report on the bill, “This bill applies largely to people who have been lawfully admitted

to the country
, people who have set down roots and established themselves in the United States. For years, we have had a bipartisan understanding that individuals like these should only be deported for a serious offense. This bill breaks down that understanding.”

Moreover, because of the bill’s intentionally broad drafting, it could lead to the deportation of individuals who did nothing even close to a violent crime. There is neither a requirement that physical harm was caused or that the individual was convicted of the alleged crime. As Nadler further explains, “Without any limitations, this could lead to absurd results. For example, under the terms of this bill, a green card holder in a fire who pushes a firefighter out of the way of a falling beam would have committed assault and would become deportable. Likewise, if a foreign student whose religion prohibits blood transfusions is receiving medical care from an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and he swats the EMT’s hand away because she is trying to give him a blood transfusion, that student will have committed the elements of an assault on a law enforcement officer and become deportable under this bill.” (emphases added)

During the committee markup of the bill, Republicans rejected amendments by Nadler to require an element of intent (that the person actually intend to harm a law enforcement officer) and Rep. Pramila Jayapal to require a conviction before a person can be deported, both on party line votes.

When the bill was brought to the floor, the House shamefully passed it 255 to 175, with 36 Democrats joining Republicans.

Republican extremist Lauren Boebert (CO-03) offered an amendment to require the Depart of Homeland Security to publish an annual report on the number of undocumented immigrants deported under the law, an attempt to fear-monger about immigrants. 84 Democrats joined Republicans in this xenophobic display, enabling the amendment to pass 303 to 126. Here are the 84 Democrats:

The other bill passed yesterday was the Federal Law Enforcement Officer Service Weapon Purchase Act, which allows federal agencies to sell a retired handgun to a federal law enforcement officer rather than destroy the handgun without conducting a background check as otherwise required by law.

This bill passed 232 to 198, with 13 Democrats joining Republicans.

The 13 Democrats were Sanford Bishop (GA-02), Jim Costa (CA-21), Angie Craig (MN-02), Henry Cuellar (TX-28), Don Davis (NC-01), Jared Golden (ME-02), Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34), Hank Johnson (GA-04), Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Wiley Nickel (NC-13), Chris Pappas (NH-01), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03), and Dean Phillips (MN-03).

Democrat Sara Jacobs (CA-51) sought to improve the bill with an amendment by defining the bill’s “good standing” prerequisite by requiring each federal agency to establish formal criteria, ensuring that agency standards are consistent with the federal background check system. It failed 216 to 219, with two Republicans — Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01) and Jen Kiggans (VA-02) — joining Democrats in support of it.

The House narrowly passed an amendment from Republican Matt Rosendale (MT) to allow semiautomatic assault weapons, sniper rifles, and military-grade weaponry to be purchased without a background check. It passed 218 to 217, with 3 Republicans — Lori Chavez-DeRemer (OR-05), Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), and Thomas Kean Jr. (NJ-07) — joining Democrats in voting no.

Republican Morgan Luttrell (TX-08)’s amendment to extend the law to retired federal law enforcement officers passed 232 to 202.

13 Democrats joined Republicans in voting for it: Sanford Bishop (GA-02), Yadira Caraveo (CO-08), Lou Correa (CA-46), Jim Costa (CA-21), Angie Craig (MN-02), Henry Cuellar (TX-28), Don Davis (NC-01), Vicente Gonzalez (TX-34), Chrissy Houlahan (PA-06), Marcy Kaptur (OH-09), Dean Phillips (MN-03), Abigail Spanberger (VA-07), Susan Wild (PA-07). Republican Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01) voted no.

Republican Richard McCormick (GA-06)’s amendment to subsidize these gun sales to federal police (reducing the sale price from “fair market value” to “salvage value”) passed 248 to 184.

Three Republicans voted against it: Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), Young Kim (CA-40), and Jay Obernolte (CA-23).

33 Democrats voted for it:

Data projects tracking police misconduct, use of force, and employment histories

The need for law enforcement transparency, oversight, and accountability has never been clearer. We highlight data projects that have helped document and investigate misconduct, as both data sources and as models for others who want to contribute to these collective efforts.

by Wendy Sawyer and Emily Widra, January 26, 2026

Police misconduct is notoriously difficult to track, penalize, and prevent, a problem that advocates have increasingly focused on in the years since the murder of George Floyd. In the time since we published a list of policing resources in 2020, advocates and researchers have been working to collect, analyze, and publish data from public records produced by various state and local law enforcement agencies.

More than “bad apples”U.S. police kill civilians at globally high rates

Particularly in the wake of more recent nationally-galvanizing killings, this time at the hands of federal ICE agents, these projects offer a blueprint for community members to track and advance law enforcement accountability. We “spotlight” some of these resources here for anyone interested in digging deeper into questions related to police accountability, especially through public records, because we think they offer compelling information and models that can be used or replicated by others. This is by no means an exhaustive list of resources related to police misconduct; several other groups have compiled far more comprehensive lists of available data sources.

Data sources that focus on misconduct incidents and patterns instead of officers

The projects we spotlight in this briefing focus on the actions of specific law enforcement officers and agencies, but other projects offer data on incidents and victims of police violence.

These efforts are particularly essential at a time when the federal government is actively eliminating its own initiatives to enhance police accountability (and even suppressing and mischaracterizing evidence). Last year, for example, the Trump administration deleted the National Law Enforcement Accountability Database, which tracked misconduct among federal law enforcement, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and federal Bureau of Prisons employees.

Of course, some cities maintain their own “open data” databases and dashboards (like these), with many more coming online since 2020. But in less populous jurisdictions and those that lack the resources or political will to prioritize police transparency, misconduct continues to be swept under the rug and under-investigated; this is where projects like these come in.

Law enforcement officers violate laws and policies designed to protect the public all the time, but very rarely are they held accountable for their actions. This is what makes these data projects so important: when formal accountability mechanisms fail, it’s up to the public to document and distribute evidence of violence and misconduct. Doing so can create pressure for change and educate others about the size and scope of the problem. Collaborative research efforts to compile public law enforcement records into user-friendly databases, like those highlighted in this briefing, exemplify the power of data and analysis to aid in advocacy. They help empower journalists, attorneys, advocates, and the broader public to hold law enforcement accountable when they engage in misconduct. And ultimately, greater transparency helps combat impunity and reduce the harm these systems perpetuate.

Among those histories, of course, are multiple forms of racist violence, including the kind that brought millions out to the streets earlier this summer, sparked by the brutal police execution of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

But the events of 76 years ago today in Peekskill, New York show that the word fascist has played a particular, vital role in Black activists’ struggle against racist police violence; remembering this usage can reconnect us with a radical history of activism often buried in conventional accounts of the civil rights movement.

On the chaotic Sunday afternoon of September 4, 1949, truncheon-wielding police officers and stone-throwing rioters descended on cars belonging to the racially integrated audience of an outdoor performance by the singer and activist Paul Robeson.

Minutes after relaxing on blankets listening to Let My People Go and other songs from Robeson’s well-known repertoire, drivers and passengers girded themselves as rioters screamed at them: “Dirty Jews!” “Lynch Robeson!” and “Go back to Russia!”

Some exited their cars to fight back; others were dragged from them and beaten. The violence left at least 150 audience members with broken bones, lacerations, bruises, black eyes and other injuries. That no one died was a marvel. Concert attendee Woody Guthrie, riding back to New York City on a bus filled with shards of shattered window glass, confessed to his seat neighbour, “This is the worst I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot.”

[State troopers beat a man leaving Paul Robeson’s concert in Peekskill on September 4; troopers and police, who were supposed to protect concertgoers from anti-Robeson protesters, joined in attacking them instead]

[Passengers hold up some of the rocks that battered their bus as they left the concert grounds in Peekskill]

[Paul Robeson sings Old Man River at his concert in Peekskill on September 4]

Robeson, like others drifting past the left-most reaches of the Democratic party, noted similarities between European fascist ideology and American capitalism. State-sponsored racism was one of the main points of alignment. As genocidal energy accelerated in Germany, the Black left, in particular, saw parallels not only in the enforcement of Southern Jim Crow policies but also in police brutality in Northern cities.

After the war, President Harry Truman and much of America assumed a warlike stance toward the nation’s recent allies, the Soviets. But Robeson and others on the left continued to praise the communist nation as an experiment in social and economic equality. The “Popular Front” alliance of liberals and radicals split, with liberal groups – including major civil rights groups such as the NAACP – taking up the anti-Red line and distancing themselves from groups and individuals who had not denounced communism.

However, one remark was the most immediate trigger for the anger and hate that erupted into violence. In the spring of 1949, Robeson was touring Europe. By this time, war with the Soviets had begun to look inevitable. Speaking before the Paris Peace Congress, he questioned whether Black Americans would be willing to risk their lives in what would amount to a third world war, insisting that it was “unthinkable that American Negroes would go to war on behalf of those who have oppressed us for generations against a country which, in one generation has raised our people to the full dignity of mankind”. The right was predictably outraged. The New York Times editorialised that he should stick to singing. Leaders of major civil rights organisations declared their loyalty to the US.

In response, he doubled down, invoking the spectre of fascism: “We do not want to die in vain any more on foreign battlefields for Wall Street and the greedy supporters of domestic fascism.” Asked flat-out whether he would fight for the US, he stepped around the trap set for him: “I am an anti-fascist, and I would fight fascism whether it be the German, French or American species.”

Over the summer, the House Un-American Activities Committee subpoenaed a series of Black community leaders to state their opposition to Robeson’s comments. The hearings culminated with the testimony of Jackie Robinson, who had integrated Major League Baseball two years earlier. Symbolically, Robinson’s appearance reassured white moderates that the nation was well on its way to achieving racial equality. It also reassured them that the fiery rhetoric emanating from figures like Robeson and William Patterson – including the use of the term fascism to describe the nation’s intentional treatment of African Americans – was mere extremism.

Later in life, Robinson said he regretted having appeared. But his testimony reflected the cautiousness of mainstream Black leadership, like the NAACP, toward Robeson and his more radical circles. Indeed, according to historian Marilynn S Johnson, mainstream organisations thought Black leftists were too focused on police violence, to the neglect of other issues.

[The 30th Anniversary of the Communist Party in the United States was the occasion for a rally protesting against the Peekskill Riots at New York’s Madison Square Garden on September 15, 1949; some of the party members attending were (front, left to right): William Scheiderman, Head of the Communist Party of California; Claudia Jones, Secretary of the Women’s National Committee; William Norman, New York State Secretary of the Party; and in the back, left to right: author Howard Fast; Ben Davis; Irving Potash and Robert Thompson, New York State Chairman of the Party]

Witnesses reported dozens of police – state and local – taking part in the attack; images from the scene show them bringing down batons on a Black man. Many injuries required hospitalisation; in some cases, rioters got in their own cars and followed fleeing audience members, attempting to prevent them from reaching area hospitals. Somehow, no one died.

After the riot, New York Governor Thomas Dewey expressed his support … for the police. Although the violence was unfortunate, he said, “communist groups obviously did provoke this incident”. Robeson, in contrast, slammed the state police as “fascist storm troopers who will knock down and club anyone who disagrees with them”.

But outside of some corners of the Black press and labour newspapers, vocal support was tough to find. According to a grand jury convened in October, “Communism … and communism alone” lay behind the events; racism and anti-Semitism were not mentioned. Even A Philip Randolph, the civil rights leader who in 1963 would organise the March on Washington, blamed Robeson for exploiting the incident and called it “not racial”.

The History of American Police Brutality

Pro-Cop PAC Tried to Fundraise by Blaming George Floyd for His Own Death sending a fundraising email that blamed George Floyd for his own death. The Protect Our Police PAC formed in Philadelphia last June after nationwide protests against police brutality with the goal of ousting Larry Krasner, the city’s reformist district attorney. In the nine months since its inception, the group has backed candidates across at least 15 states. This is not the first time the committee has come under criticism for distributing racist materials.

“Our founding fathers knew the importance of a fair justice system, but unhinged radical cop haters are taking every opportunity to pervert the law to advance their agenda. That’s exactly what’s happening in Minnesota to officer Derek Chauvin,” read the April 1 email. “Let’s get one thing clear: George Floyd tested positive for COVID-19 and was high on a lethal dose of fentanyl when he died May 25th, 2020… but the mainstream media doesn’t want you to know that!”

Sent from the organization-wide POP PAC account, the email was signed by President/Treasurer Nick Gerace, a former Philadelphia police officer.

“Fine me, I don’t care, I’m rich”.

May 15, 2026

“Fine me, I don’t care, I’m rich”. Igor Lytvynchuk is reported to be a Ukrainian immigrant living in Washington State.

5/6/26 – UPDATE ON INVESTIGATION INTO ROCK THROWN AT MONK SEAL AND BREACHES OF SEAL RESTING AREAS

The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) is investigating social media postings on Instagram that appear to show an adult male throwing an object toward a monk seal while it was swimming in the water off the Lahaina shoreline.

Yesterday, the Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement’s (DOCARE) Maui Branch was notified of a case of monk seal harassment by Maui Police Department Dispatch. A DOCARE officer received the call and responded to the scene. While en route, the officer was able to contact the reporting party and obtain a description of the alleged suspect. When the officer arrived at the scene, the officer contacted a 37-year-old adult male from Seattle, Washington, who matched the description of the suspect. The male was detained, identified, and advised of his legal rights. The male declined to make a statement and invoked his legal rights by requesting counsel of an attorney.

In accordance with the federal Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA), which provides protection for Hawaiian monk seals, DOCARE will be turning over the state investigation of this incident to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Office of Law Enforcement (NOAA-OLE) for further review and action.

At this time, the alleged suspect has not been criminally charged, so DOCARE will not be releasing any information on his identity.

Photo of sign on temporary orange fencing that says "Warning: Unsafe to Swim. Please choose a different beach. Nursing Seals in the Area. Protective Mother Seals May Bite."

On Oʻahu, there have been several reports of members of the public breaching the temporary fence at Kaimana Beach that marks the resting area for Kaiwi (RK96), a 15-year-old female monk seal, and her pup. Kaiwi gave birth on the beach on May 3.

“This is a very crucial time in the life of this pup, so for these people to be breaching the area and getting close is not a good idea at all,” said DOCARE Chief Jason Redulla.

“If the mother seal perceives any human or pet to be a threat, she may attack. This is what happened during a 2022 encounter between a swimmer and a mother seal at Kaimana Beach. The swimmer suffered lacerations to her face, back, and arm,” Chief Redulla cautions.

“From past monk-seal-related incidents, we know that some of the NOAA fines have been substantial, totaling several thousand dollars,” added Chief Redulla.

“To keep people and pets safe, and to protect our endangered marine life, we ask the public’s help by showing respect for these animals and following all guidelines for safe viewing.”

When concerned bystanders confronted him about it, Lytvynchuk reportedly told them, “I don’t care, I’m rich. Fine me. I can pay for it.” A local heard that, saw what happened, and beat the shit out of him on the beach.

“Litvinchuk” (and variants like Litvintchouk) is an Eastern European surname with roots in Ashkenazi Jewish communities, typically derived from “Litvin,” a Yiddish or Slavic term for a person from Lithuania. It indicates geographic origin (the former Grand Duchy of Lithuania) and is often associated with the Ashkenazi Jewish diaspora, reflecting trade or crafting roles.

  • Surname Origin: The name commonly means “Lithuanian” and was used to identify Jews from the region covering modern-day Lithuania, Belarus, and parts of Ukraine.
  • Cultural Context: It is related to “Litvaks,” who are Jews from this region known for a distinct Yiddish dialect and a “non-Hasidic” approach to traditional Jewish life and learning.
  • Variations: The name may appear as Litvinchuk, Litvintchik, or Litvintchouk, with the suffix denoting a Slavic diminutive

Headline from Rachel Blevins: BRICS IN CHAOS: IRAN BLASTS MEMBERS AS SUMMIT FALLS APART…. While Trump and Xi met in Beijing this week, the foreign ministers of the BRICS alliance met in New Delhi. The results were not good, and the BRICS summit ended without a joint statement, after it was blocked by the UAE.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said during the meeting that “Iran is a country that cannot be divided. The era of American dominance is over,” and he called out the UAE’s “own special relationship with Israel.”

Journalist Esteban Carrillo, Co-Host of the Cradle News Round-Up, noted that the BRICS’ inability to condemn the US and Israel’s illegal war of aggression against Iran has put the alliance “on the verge of irrelevance,” as countries in West Asia are now focusing more on local relations, with Iran exercising its control over the Strait of Hormuz and Saudi Arabia reportedly considering a regional pact.

Now, now, these are the fucking 17 million-year-old bricks that fucking toothless dirty transactional fucking BRICS needs to hold up some semblance of honor: The columnar basalt at Yaquina Head is approximately 14 to 16 million years old.

These spectacular rock formations were created by massive, ancient volcanic eruptions originating in eastern Oregon and Washington.

Basalt breccia (Ginkgo Basalt, Middle Miocene, 15.3 to 15.6 Ma; Yaquina Head, Oregon, USA)

This is a loose boulder on a gravelly marine shoreline at Yaquina Head, Oregon. Most of the clasts at the site are cobbles. The rocks here have eroded from the Ginkgo Basalt, one of many lava flows in the Miocene-aged Columbia River Flood Basalt.

Flood basalts are vast outpourings of lava from one or more large fractures in the crust. This rare type of volcanism is not occurring on Earth at present, but ancient flood basalt provinces can be examined – for example, the latest Cretaceous-aged Deccan Traps of India and the latest Permian Siberian Traps of Russia. Flood lavas are also known on Mercury, Venus, and the Moon.

The Ginkgo Basalt is a voluminous lava flow that originated from a feeder dike in southeastern Washington State, traveled westward about 550 kilometers, and reached the Pacific Ocean. Yaquina Head, Oregon, is the distal-most occurrence of the flow. Rocks in the Ginkgo Basalt include aphanitic basalt, microporphyritic basalt, porphyritic basalt, columnar jointed basalt, pillow basalt, basaltic glass (altered & unaltered), basalt breccia, vesicular basalt, scoriaceous basalt, aa flow tops, and pahoehoe flow tops.

The boulder seen here is composed of basalt breccia, which formed when the original lava flow entered the Pacific Ocean. Lava-water interactions fragmented the material into variably-shaped and variably-sized clasts. The orangish to orangish-brown matrix between the breccia’s clasts is palagonite, a hydrous weathering product from basaltic glass.

MILLIONS of years AGO? What the Fuck, the Bible did Not Tell me SO!

Parashat Noach Noah's Ark Bible Torah
  • Orthodox Jew: Generally view the narrative as a factual historical event, though many embrace symbolic or mystical interpretations within the text.
  • Conservative & Reform Jew: Often view the story as an allegory or a foundational myth, prioritizing the moral, spiritual, and ethical lessons over physical historicity.

If the vessel had to hold two of every one of the roughly 8.7 million species living on Earth today, a standard ship would fail immediately.

  • The Dimensions: The ship would need to be 4 to 5 miles long and nearly a mile wide.
  • The Logistics: You would have to replicate the world’s oceans in massive, heavy aquariums for marine life. The weight of food alone—such as 220,000 pounds of vegetation per year for just one elephant—would require cargo storage spaces that dwarf the animals themselves. Furthermore, an immense “live prey” ecosystem would be required to feed carnivores without modern refrigeration.
  • Structural Reality: A wooden ship of this size would suffer catastrophic structural failure. It would require steel, titanium, and nuclear-grade propulsion to support its life-support systems.

The First Survivor (not my words because Ellie Wiesel if a fucking Jew fraud.)

NOTE: Jewish humanistic intellectuals, such as Professor Tony Judt and musician Gilad Atzmon deplore Israel’s self-indulgence and lack of maturity. Judt writes: “Israel still comports itself like an adolescent: consumed by a brittle confidence in its own uniqueness; certain that no one ‘understands’ it and everyone is ‘against’ it; full of wounded self-esteem, quick to take offence and quick to give it … that it can do as it wishes, that its actions carry no consequences, and that it is immortal.”

Atzmon writes:

“We are dealing here with a uniquely and seriously disturbed immature nation. We are dealing with a self-loving narcissistic child …. The more the Israelis love themselves and their delusional phantasmic innocence, the more they are frightened that people out there may be as sadistic as they themselves proved to be. This behavioural mode is called projection …. Jews have a very good reason to be frightened. Their national state is a racist, genocidal entity.”

Quoting Jewish Crap: Elie Wiesel, the great writer, offers a poignant insight. Wiesel calls Noah the first “survivor.” The world had experienced a Holocaust, and Noah was reluctant to walk out of the ark because he knew that the entire world was one giant graveyard for all the people he had known–and he just couldn’t face it.

Once on dry land, after giving thanks to God and bringing sacrifices, the Torah tells us that Noah’s reaction to the flood is to plant. Planting after a great destruction is surely a meaningful and satisfying response. It represents hope and belief in the future.

But what does Noah plant? He plants a vine and drinks the wine of the vineyard. He becomes drunk and wallows in the muck in his tent. Poor Noah. He cannot face the fact that everybody except himself and his immediate family was destroyed in the flood. He is unable to face reality. He needs an escape and resorts to alcohol. He becomes a drunkard.

Noah’s response to the flood is not dissimilar to the reactions of some Holocaust survivors in our own generation. Some survivors were just not capable of facing the fact that they were singled out to live, while their beloved friends and relatives, mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters had been murdered.

Oh, those fucking Larry Davids and Mel Brooks Jews of old:

According to Genesis 6:15, God gave Noah exact proportions using “cubits” (the distance from an adult’s elbow to fingertip): 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high.

  • Using a standard 18-inch cubit, the ship measures 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high.

Fucking Banana Republic: Visiting Japanese I met were looking at this fucked up signage at Yaquina Head, a wonderful place. It’s older than Trump’s current presidency, the wear and tear. What a fucked up world. And that fucking Ukrainian Jew? He’d be tossing rocks at this harbor seal:

I ran into a bunch of dirty Ukrainians in Spokane. THe fucking women are handmaids, against school bonds, anti-women’s rights, and the men? Fucking chop shop and real cunts of a bunch of scammers. Violent too. So, this sign would be burned if those Ukrainians were around. They smoke a lot, so always a lighter in the mix. And flammable vodka.

No cigarette butts on the trail up to this viewpoint, but then again, no fucking Ukrainians around:

These fucking Ukrainian Jews would be gathering up the eggs for resale on the black market:

Oh, those sentimental Jews would be picking these Oregon iris plants, not so common, and the flower for the rare Silverspot butterfly, to give to one of their fucking dirty Barbara Streisand look-alikes.

My old stomping grounds: They got their fucking Jew Prez, man, always a liar, always a turncoat:

United States officials will soon be operating inside a massive surveillance tower in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juárez on intelligence-sharing missions—even as Mexico grapples with a diplomatic and political scandal related to the deaths of two CIA agents who were operating inside Mexico without authorization, sources within the Chihuahua state government confirmed.

On April 19, two CIA officials and two officials with Chihuahua State Attorney General’s Office officials died in a car accident in northern Mexico while working on a counter-narcotics operation to seize and decommission a large methamphetamine lab in the state.

Immediately after the incident, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said that Chihuahua’s state government had violated the national security law by collaborating with the CIA without the federal government’s sign-off. The Mexican government also said in a statement that the CIA officials did not have authorization to enter the country to participate in operations. Mexico’s 2020 national security law requires the federal government approve any officials’ collaboration with foreign governments and expressly prohibits the participation of foreign agents in operations, with collaboration limited to information sharing.

Sheinbaum praised the bilateral collaboration between the U.S. and Mexico and expressed her hope that this incident would be an “isolated case.” The incident, however, has led to a standoff between the federal government and the state government of Chihuahua. That same week, the state attorney general stepped down from his position.

Chihuahua Governor María Eugenia Campos Galván has opened a state-level investigation into the CIA deaths, and on May 12 said she did not approve the participation of “foreign people” in the meth lab operation. After a senator accused Campos of treason, Campos declined to appear before the Mexican Senate’s Constitutional Points and Public Security Committee.

Despite the political scandal that has raised concern about U.S. government involvement in Mexico, Chihuahua is pressing ahead with a close collaboration with U.S. agencies—with the approval of the Mexican federal government, a Chihuahua spokesperson confirmed to Drop Site this week. Representatives from five different U.S. federal agencies—the FBI, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, Homeland Security Investigations, and Customs and Border Protection—are slated to work out of the 18th floor of the new building in Juárez, known as the Centinela Tower. The agencies are expected to exchange intelligence with Mexican officials related to drug and weapons smuggling, organized crime, and immigration enforcement, according to four high-ranking officials from Chihuahua’s State Department of Public Security (SSPE).

Good little Tio Tacos, our House You Know What Negroes: The SSPE is already running a state-of-the-art surveillance operation—known as Plataforma Centinela, or sentinel platform—out of a command center in Juárez that monitors data from surveillance cameras, license plate readers, drones, helicopters, public panic buttons, and other intelligence-gathering technology.

Oh, that’s right, Judaism and Zionism and Israel are almost DOA according to all the Substacks. Israel set for first-ever F-35 external fuel tank upgrade in force buildup push

New capability would reduce reliance on aerial refueling and improve operational flexibility in long-range missions. But it remains unclear if it would affect aircraft’s stealth capabilities.

Jews will be back in Havana soon:

CIA Director John Ratcliffe, who typically keeps his international travel confidential, made a high-profile trip to Havana on Thursday, holding a meeting with Cuban officials as he delivered a stern warning demanding dramatic changes without delay, according to a CIA official and a statement from the Cuban government.

“Director Ratcliffe traveled to Havana to initiate substantive discussions on the essential steps the Cuban regime must do to build a productive relationship with the United States,” a CIA official said in an email Thursday.

The director made clear that time was short and Cuba needed to act, suggesting that if the regime dragged its feet, it might face the same fate as the government in Venezuela, according to the CIA official.

Ratcliffe “emphasized that the U.S. is extending a genuine opportunity for collaboration, and — as evidenced by Venezuela — President Trump must be taken seriously,” the official said.

The spy agency director also repeated the demand from Washington that Cuba stop accommodating adversaries; U.S. officials have long maintained that Moscow and Beijing use the island 90 miles off Florida’s coast to conduct espionage directed against the United States.

Ratcliffe told his Cuban counterparts that Havana “can no longer serve as a platform for adversaries to advance hostile agendas in our hemisphere.”

Cuba was designated a “state sponsor of terrorism,” accused of harboring Colombian rebel groups and U.S. fugitives, a status reinstated last year by Trump. It reversed a short-lived move by the Biden administration.

According to a statement from Havana, Cuba provided information to the U.S. that “made it possible to categorically demonstrate that Cuba does not constitute a threat to U.S. national security, nor are there legitimate reasons to include it on the list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.”

The Trump administration began exploring earlier this year whether the Justice Department could charge members of the regime or the Communist Party with crimes, NBC News had reported. The multi-agency effort was being led by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida.

The possible charges were first reported by CBS News.

The 1996 downing of the planes remains one of the most politically charged episodes in modern U.S.-Cuba relations.

The volunteers routinely flew over the Florida Straits looking for Cuban refugees making their way to the U.S. on makeshift boats.

Fidel Castro, who was president at the time, claimed that the planes violated Cuban airspace and that they were downed as a defense against “terrorist threats.” Raúl Castro was head of the armed forces at the time.

Not to be outdone by their American Nazi-Gestapo counterparts, the UK backs human rights plan to accelerate illegal migration removals.

13 men killed by US military boat strikes identified: ‘These were flesh-and-blood people.’

All victims of US strikes in the eastern Pacific and the Caribbean identified so far came from extremely poor communities.

“Despite the US claim that the strikes are fighting narco-terrorism, what is actually happening is that young people living in extremely precarious conditions, doing whatever work they can to support their families, are being targeted,” said María Teresa Ronderos, director and co-founder of the CLIP.

“The US is not taking down any Pablo Escobar or Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán,” she added.

The investigation also underlined what other reports and security analysts have concluded: that the strikes have not reduced the flow of drugs to the US, but have instead torn apart communities already fractured and weakened by organised crime and state neglect.

“There are communities where they stopped fishing for several weeks – and if they do that, people go hungry – because they were terrified of being bombed,” said Ronderos.

The main finding, she said, was putting names and faces to a greater number of victims, “to show that these were flesh-and-blood people” – even if the vast majority remain unidentified.

Roundup in the National Forests: How the U.S. Forest Service Is Turning California’s Wildlands into Tree Farms

Glyphosate spraying in California’s forests are poisoning post‑fire landscapes, endangering wildlife, and exposing a captured system that treats public lands as cheap timber.

The head of U.S. Border Patrol, the agency tasked with securing the nation’s frontiers and increasingly tapped by the Trump administration for immigration operations in American cities, announced his resignation Thursday.

Michael Banks’ decision, announced in a Fox News interview and later confirmed by the Department of Homeland Security, is the latest leadership shake-up of officials implementing President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown and comes as the Republican administration appears to be recalibrating its approach to its centerpiece policy of mass deportations.

“It’s just time,” Banks was quoted as saying in a report on the Fox News website, which said the resignation was effective immediately. “I feel like I got the ship back on course,” he said, referring to what he described as previous chaos at the southern border. Banks said it was “time to enjoy the family and life.”

Until we get the flaccid fucks in Holly-Dirt making the fucking celebrity news. [Harrison Ford has an estimated net worth of $350 million. This wealth has been accumulated over a prolific six-decade career in Hollywood, heavily driven by his starring roles in massive blockbuster franchises like Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

In an inspiring speech to the class of 2026, actor Harrison Ford admitted to the mistakes of his generation before calling on young people to change the world.

He kicked off his commencement address on Monday at Arizona State University by admitting he didn’t always make the best choices when he was young. “I was squandering my life in riotous living,” the 83-year-old said of his college years. He found himself in a drama class looking for an easy A grade, but fell in love with acting.

“Hiding in character, costume, and makeup, I had a freedom, a bravery I had never felt before – and I got an A!” he joked. “I was, I realized, present for possibly the very first time in my life. My passion had led me to the community.”

Ford pursued acting, he told the students, while working carpentry jobs to pay the bills and support his family. Even after the success “Star Wars,” when things got easier, something still wasn’t quite right.

85 Billionaires and the Better Half by Michael Parenti

Central African Republic: Torn Apart by Violence

Image by S. Phelps/UNHCR Photo Unit via Flickr

by Michael Parenti / February 18, 2014

The world’s 85 richest individuals possess as much wealth as the 3.5 billion souls who compose the poorer half of the world’s population, or so it was announced in a report by Oxfam International. The assertion sounds implausible to me. I think the 85 richest individuals, who together are worth many hundreds of billions of dollars, must have far more wealth than the poorest half of our global population.

How could these two cohorts, the 85 richest and 3.5 billion poorest, have the same amount of wealth? The great majority of the 3.5 billion have no net wealth at all. Hundreds of millions of them have jobs that hardly pay enough to feed their families. Millions of them rely on supplements from private charity and public assistance when they can. Hundreds of millions are undernourished, suffer food insecurity, or go hungry each month, including many among the very poorest in the United States.

Most of the 3.5 billion earn an average of $2.50 a day. The poorest 40 percent of the world population accounts for just 5 percent of all global income. About 80 percent of all humanity live on less than $10 a day. And the poorest 50 percent maintain only 7.2 percent of the world’s private consumption. How exactly could they have accumulated an amount of surplus wealth comparable to the 85 filthy richest?

Hundreds of millions live in debt even in “affluent” countries like the United States. They face health care debts, credit card debts, college tuition debts, and so on. Many, probably most who own homes— and don’t live in shacks or under bridges or in old vans— are still straddled with mortgages. This means their net family wealth is negative, minus-zero. They have no propertied wealth; they live in debt.

Millions among the poorest 50 percent in the world may have cars but most of them also have car payments. They are driving in debt. In countries like Indonesia, for the millions without private vehicles, there are the overloaded, battered buses, poorly maintained vehicles that specialize in breakdowns and ravine plunges. Among the lowest rungs of the 50 percent are the many who pick through garbage dumps and send their kids off to work in grim, soul-destroying sweatshops.

The 85 richest in the world probably include the four members of the Walton family (owners of Wal-Mart, among the top ten superrich in the USA) who together are worth over $100 billion. Rich families like the DuPonts have controlling interests in giant corporations like General Motors, Coca-Cola, and United Brands. They own about forty manorial estates and private museums in Delaware alone and have set up 31 tax-exempt foundations. The superrich in America and in many other countries find ways, legal and illegal, to shelter much of their wealth in secret accounts. We don’t really know how very rich the very rich really are.

Regarding the poorest portion of the world population— whom I would call the valiant, struggling “better half”—what mass configuration of wealth could we possibly be talking about? The aggregate wealth possessed by the 85 super-richest individuals, and the aggregate wealth owned by the world’s 3.5 billion poorest, are of different dimensions and different natures. Can we really compare private jets, mansions, landed estates, super luxury vacation retreats, luxury apartments, luxury condos, and luxury cars, not to mention hundreds of billions of dollars in equities, bonds, commercial properties, art works, antiques, etc.— can we really compare all that enormous wealth against some millions of used cars, used furniture, and used television sets, many of which are ready to break down? Of what resale value if any, are such minor durable-use commodities? especially in communities of high unemployment, dismal health and housing conditions, no running water, no decent sanitation facilities, etc. We don’t really know how poor the very poor really are.

Millions of children who number in the lower 50 percent never see the inside of a school. Instead they labor in mills, mines and on farms, under conditions of peonage. Nearly a billion people are unable to read or write. The number of people living in poverty is growing at a faster rate than the world’s population. So poverty is spreading even as wealth accumulates. It is not enough to bemoan this enormous inequality, we must also explain why it is happening.

But for now, let me repeat: the world’s richest 85 individuals do not have the same amount of accumulated wealth as the world’s poorest 50 percent. They have vastly more. The multitude on the lower rungs—even taken as a totality—have next to nothing.

Well, not a great interviewer, for sure:

But, then, they, HarrisonFord the multimillionaires and now this billionaire, are fucking celebrities:

MAGA? YEP:

Politics on the dock

The economic strain of high diesel prices is feeding into broader political debates about the war in Iran.

Even with the fuel hikes, Pettinger said he supports the conflict and the Trump administration generally. During President Trump’s first term, Pettinger said he got a check in the mail through the Seafood Trade Relief Program to compensate for retaliatory tariffs.

“ I have never got any recognition from the federal government for anything before this guy came along,” Pettinger said, referring to Trump.

In Brookings, on the Southern Oregon coast, Brad Pettinger runs a trawl operation with two 80-foot boats, each with a 10,000 gallon fuel tank. He said he burns roughly 300 gallons per day.

And, thus, says Paulokirk,, may this cunt Pettinger die at sea. He supports that war, uh?

In the first hours of the war in Iran, a U.S. airstrike hit an elementary school, killing 168 civilians, most of whom were children. This incident occurred as Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth vowed the war would be prosecuted with “no stupid rules of engagement,” after slashing civilian harm mitigation efforts at the Pentagon.

Rising fuel costs ripple through Northwest’s fishing industry

On a sunny morning in Garibaldi, Oregon, Jesse Coon offloads his catch. Men in waterproof fishing bibs pack salmon into ice and hose out the boat, named Steel Fin.

Standing next to stacked coolers of freshly caught fish, Coon pulls out one of the Chinook salmon his crew just caught and explains how it senses bait in the water.

“If you look at it really close, there’s actually pores — holes right there — and that’s their nervous system. And they can sense electricity that’s put off by bait fish, and every living creature,” he said.

But to find salmon, Coon has to travel miles offshore, searching for dense shoals and burning lots of fuel. Oregon’s commercial troll salmon season opened April 14, but the biggest catches typically arrive later in the summer. It’s still early in the season, and it’s hard to know how good the fishing will be.

Since the war in Iran began in late February, another factor is compounding that risk. Diesel costs have surged, cutting thousands of dollars from already thin margins.

“ It just makes your decision-making harder on when to go and when not to go, and whether to go a little early in the season when the fishing might not be quite as good. It just really feels like a gamble,” he said.

So far, he said, the numbers aren’t looking good.

“ We’ve probably made a few thousand dollars is all, after the fuel costs,” Coon said, referencing the first two weeks of salmon season. “ I could do that working at Home Depot or McDonald’s or something.”

CUNTS in a CUNTRY tis of THEM.

“We’re not just buying something,” Hegseth said just before the Iran War. “We are solving life and death problems for our war fighters. We’re not building for peacetime. We are pivoting the Pentagon and our industrial base to a wartime footing.”

Fisherman Jesse Coon unloads a catch from a recent fishing trip, at Garibaldi, Ore. on April 29, 2026.

Fisherman Jesse Coon unloads a catch from a recent fishing trip, at Garibaldi, Ore. on April 29, 2026.

Coon, a fourth-generation fisherman born and raised in Tillamook County, was considering tying up his boat for a week until the season ramps up to save on costs.

“But if everybody sits around and waits for a good fishing report, then nobody’s out there looking,” he said. “Somebody’s gotta do the gambling.”

Ultimately, Coon decided to keep fishing.

His great-grandfather moved to the area during World War II and fished for salmon out of Pacific City, back when they used rowboats with outboard motors.

Coon recently took his 6-year-old son out for a fishing trip. “Says he just wants to live on the ocean. So I guess it’s in the blood,” he said.

FUCK, tell that to a Palestinian or Colombian or Venezuelan fisherman! September 1, 2022

Israeli Naval Forces’ Ongoing Attacks against Palestinian Fishermen: 3 Boats Confiscated and 1 Boat Drowned

Human rights organizations, including the Israeli group B’Tselem and Palestinian entities like Al-Haq and the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, have consistently reported that the Israeli Navy uses live ammunition, kinetic force, and water cannons against fishermen accused of breaching the designated nautical boundaries. These groups argue that enforcement actions frequently occur even well within the permitted fishing limits.

Reports document numerous incidents involving:

  • Fatalities and Injuries: Dozens of fishermen have been killed or wounded at sea by naval fire over the decades. Following the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023, the Gaza Fishermen’s Syndicate and United Nations monitoring teams recorded more than 230 deaths among fishermen and their associates due to ongoing military strikes, shelling, and coastal operations.
  • Detentions: Palestinian fishermen are regularly intercepted at sea, detained, and transferred to Israeli facilities for interrogation regarding potential security ties.
  • Property Destruction: The Israeli military frequently confiscates or destroys fishing vessels, motors, and nets, and restricts the import of dual-use materials like fiberglass and engines needed for repairs.

Fuck these MAGA fishers. May they capsize out at sea and forever vanish:

The 57 confirmed bombings of boats that the Trump administration has carried out so far since last September have shattered families and communities across Latin America, with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and US Southern Command never acknowledging the identities of the at least 192 people they’ve killed, beyond declaring them “narco-terrorists.”

Portada_8

But despite the concerted effort to keep the names and any information about the victims hidden—their identities “blown away over vast stretches of ocean,” as a new report states—20 journalists led by the Latin American Center for Investigative Journalism (CLIP) managed to identify 13 of the men whose killings have been called “murders” by legal experts and rights advocates.

Man, I hate this fucking CUNT-tree so much, and hate most mother-fucking Americanos, for sure, and anyone in fucking uniform with a gun, may he/she/they always be DOA unless otherwise proven human, proof of life.

Yes, yes, but but: Who and how many are going to prison for this mass murder?

US-made ballistic missile previously untested in combat struck a sports hall and an elementary school in southern Iran on the opening day of the US-Israeli war, according to a report by The New York Times.

The school and sports hall in Lamerd, Iran, featured damage consistent with a short-range ballistic missile called the Precision Strike Missile, or PrSM, which is designed to detonate just above its target and blast small tungsten pellets outward, the NYT reported on Monday.

Videos of two strikes verified by the NYT were also consistent with PrSM explosions, the report said, citing military experts.

[Lockheed Martin is the manufacturer of the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM).

The aerospace and defense company develops and produces the weapon system primarily through its Missiles and Fire Control division, with engineering based in Grand Prairie, Texas, and final assembly taking place at its manufacturing facility in Camden, Arkansas.

The United States is responsible for an attack on an Iranian primary school that killed at least 170 people, most of them children, Amnesty International has said in a new investigation, urging accountability for the assault.

The rights group said on Monday that a US-manufactured Tomahawk missile was likely used in the attack on the school in the southern city of Minab on February 28.

“Tomahawk missiles are used exclusively by US forces in this conflict and are precision-guided missiles,” it said.

“A policy of medical neglect, a policy of starvation.”

YET YET YET:

They came for her at 4 a.m. Again.

Four armored Israeli army jeeps. Twenty heavily armed soldiers. Stormed her family home in Birzeit. Held her parents at gunpoint. Searched the house. Blindfolded. Handcuffed. And took her away.

This was Layan Nasser’s reality in April 2024. A Palestinian Christian. A nutrition graduate. A human rights worker. A member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church. A daughter. A sister, and a friend.

Eight months later, today she walked, well actually, ran free.

But Layan’s story isn’t just about one woman’s release. It’s about what happens when a system tries to erase a people through the systematic detention of their most promising voices.

When Israeli soldiers stormed Layan’s home, they were making a statement: This is what happens when you organize. When you resist. When you dare to believe in something bigger than your own survival.

Layan was held under administrative detention—charged with nothing, tried with nothing, based on secret intelligence declaring her a “security threat.” No charges filed. No crime named. Just disappeared.

The Archbishop of Justin Welby called it “a breach of assurances made by Israel about the treatment of Christians.” The Bishop of Chelmsford visited Layan’s family and lit a candle for her in England. International outcry grew. Pressure mounted.

And finally, after eight months, they had to let her go.

But here’s what is heart-breaking: Layan’s release is the exception, not the rule. While the world celebrated her freedom, more than 3,443 Palestinians remain in administrative detention—held without charge, without trial, based on secret files they can never see.

Defense for Children International Palestine reports that the number of Palestinian children detained has quadrupled in 2005. Children.

Four times as many Palestinian children behind bars as before. Kids. Teenagers. Students. Arrested. Detained. Interrogated. Mistreated. Held without trial.

Layan’s previous arrest in 2021, two months spent in military detention for student activism, shows us this is not random. It’s a strategy to make people afraid to speak up. By making communities afraid to organize. By making the next generation afraid to dream.

Just leave this country you despise so much . . . .Don’t you have anything positive to write about?”

The Journalism Crisis: Profit Over Truth

And, interestingly, there is a large population of college-educated folk in Newport and environs, andf an affirmed LGBTQA community. And a larger-than-national ratio of Jews living here. Or at least that’s what some of the demographics point to. Why do I point that out? Well, I’ve written about how I have been cancelled from teaching, how I have been cancelled recently to give a talk on media literacy, and how the city hired me contingently and then rescinded that offer.

Photo of a magnifying glass over the world "lie"

I have a stinking feeling it’s because I just don’t need no stinkin’ badge, or no stinkin’ star of destruction and death and starvation, that religious symbol on all those tanks and missiles and guns.

Here is today’s commentary in the Newport News Times by Haeder.

Nary a word in the local news organs, or on local Facebook pages about our May 3 World Press Freedom Day.

Neil Postman was correct saying we are not in a 1984 scenario “yet,” but rather in this Brave New World era where people – leaders, controllers, the average citizen – are controlled through a heightened overload of irrelevant information as well as through pleasure.

Andrew Postman – My Dad Predicted Trump in 1985 – It's not ...

In his book, Amusing Ourselves to Death, Postman argued that the image-focused culture via TV and now social media truly erodes our capacity for rational, literate thought. No need to have Big Brother controlling us through pain and forbidden information when we seemingly are sliding into apathy.

[Neil Postman – Foreword to Amusing Ourselves to Death

We were keeping our eye on 1984. When the year came and the prophecy didn’t, thoughtful Americans sang softly in praise of themselves. The roots of liberal democracy had held. Wherever else the terror had happened, we, at least, had not been visited by Orwellian nightmares.

But we had forgotten that alongside Orwell’s dark vision, there was another—slightly older, slightly less well known, equally chilling: Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World. Contrary to common belief even among the educated, Huxley and Orwell did not prophesy the same thing. Orwell warns that we will be overcome by an externally imposed oppression. But in Huxley’s vision, no Big Brother is required to deprive people of their autonomy, maturity and history. As he saw it, people will come to love their oppression, to adore the technologies that undo their capacities to think.

What Orwell feared were those who would ban books. What Huxley feared was that there would be no reason to ban a book, for there would be no one who wanted to read one. Orwell feared those who would deprive us of information. Huxley feared those who would give us so much that we would be reduced to passivity and egoism. Orwell feared that the truth would be concealed from us. Huxley feared the truth would be drowned in a sea of irrelevance. Orwell feared we would become a captive culture. Huxley feared we would become a trivial culture, preoccupied with some equivalent of the feelies, the orgy porgy, and the centrifugal bumblepuppy. As Huxley remarked in Brave New World Revisited, the civil libertarians and rationalists who are ever on the alert to oppose tyranny “failed to take into account man’s almost infinite appetite for distractions.” In 1984, Huxley added, people are controlled by inflicting pain. In Brave New World, they are controlled by inflicting pleasure. In short, Orwell feared that what we hate will ruin us. Huxley feared that what we love will ruin us.

This book is about the possibility that Huxley, not Orwell, was right.]

Trump returned to office and kicked up his heels, insulting and attacking the press on a daily basis. His penchant for lawyering up and suing media outlets speaks to his – and other powerbrokers’ – fear of truth.

Restricting press freedom is an act that figuratively has the founding members of this republic turning in their graves.

Thomas Jefferson strongly advocated for “a free press” as a cornerstone of democracy, most famously writing to Edward Carrington in 1787 that he would prefer “newspapers without government” to “government without newspapers”.

Against this backdrop, Reporters Without Borders (RSF) released its 2026 World Press Freedom Index on April 30.

This scoring puts 180 countries and territories on a scale indicating their level of press freedom. The Index evaluates five indicators: political context, legal framework, economic context, sociocultural context, and safety.

Not surprisingly, the United States has declined in each of these indicators and steadily fallen on the Index over the past decade, dropping in rank from 49th in 2015 to 57th in 2025.

  • Truth is under siege as journalism faces political attacks, collapsing business models, and widespread distrust.
  • How investigative journalism exposes systemic failures, even as powerful actors increasingly deny or distort inconvenient facts.
  • The rising influence of corporate interests in academia, particularly in economics, where conflicts of interest run deep.
  • The dangerous erosion of content moderation on social media platforms, accelerating the spread of misinformation under the banner of free speech.
  • Why both journalists and academics must stay the course, even as accountability weakens and truth grows harder to defend.

Trump is an inarticulate narcissist, but he’s not the sole reason for this country’s chronically ill and abused journalism. With both parties holding power in Washington, this steady decline points to structural deficiencies.

"Trump Has a Narcisstic Monarchic Mindset", From Washington, speaking to me, @fareedzakaria does not sugar coat it. The problem with Donald Trump, he argues, is that he does not behave like a normal, ...

I might be shooting the messenger, but media ownership has become increasingly consolidated among a few media moguls, as well as local rags owned on a smaller scale of consolidation. The fallout is that millions of Americans, especially in rural and low-income areas, now live in “news deserts.”

Congress has failed to enact Press freedom protections, such as the PRESS Act, while local and state governments have chipped away at press freedom.

Violence against journalists has risen to absurdly high levels, according to the US Press Freedom Tracker. And in the last decade, eight journalists in the US were killed for their journalism or while working.

The Committee to Protect Journalists report at least 260–274 journalists have been killed in Gaza, Lebanon, and surrounding areas due to Israeli actions.

Press Freedom Status For Women Journalists - April 2024 — Coalition For Women in Journalism

Trump’s team of thugs has limited journalists’ access to government buildings and initiated huge cuts in public media funding. Trump is waging an all-out war on press freedom and journalism.

Trump promised to be a dictator on “day one” of his term, but the totality of his anti-press campaign signals that the self-proclaimed “Peace President” is sinking to the depths of authoritarian regimes. His war on press freedom affects all five indicators RSF measures to compile the Index: political, legal, economic, sociocultural, and safety.

But there is Big Brother seeping through the old man’s veins as Trump issued an executive order “ending federal censorship,” effectively eliminating government monitoring of misinformation and disinformation. That was day one of his illegitimate start of his second administration.

His administration has scrubbed thousands of US government pages that hosted information ranging from police violence, sacrifice zones (poor areas where pollution prevails), and climate science.

Vital resources for journalists and the public alike have been memory-holed.

Despite efforts to curb violence, attacks against journalists continue | ICFJ

“Memory-holing” refers to deliberate destruction, suppression, or erasure of information, records, making them vanish from public knowledge, often for political or personal convenience. Originating from George Orwell’s 1949 book, 1984, the holes are chutes used to incinerate documents.

This is all bizarre, for me, a journalist since age 17 in Southern Arizona and along the Mexican border now witnessing the disappearance of digital, historical, or media content.

Memory-holed or locked up, Trump’s Regime is on a rampage, as journalists like Don Lemon and Georgia Fort have been arrested and threatened with criminal charges while doing their work.

Take this journalist’s recent report on Democracy Now as emblematic of another aspect of degraded news in the USA. Here, Jeremy Scahill of Drop Site News:

“Well, you know, what I’ve been reporting over the past several weeks is that far from being in disarray, as Trump and his allies in the media have portrayed the Iranian government, it’s the Trump administration that is in a state of total chaos, erratic meltdowns, that culminated with Trump claiming that JD Vance was on an airplane en route to Islamabad to meet the Iranian foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, then saying that Jared Kushner, his son-in-law, and special envoy Steve Witkoff, well, they’re actually on the airplane. And they were claiming, ‘Oh, the Iranians are begging us to talk, and we’re going to go and meet them in Islamabad when Foreign Minister Araghchi is there.’ The Iranians were telling me, ‘We have no intention of meeting any Americans,’ and that Iran is on its own tour now of Pakistan, Oman and Russia, where Araghchi met with President Vladimir Putin, and ‘We’re establishing our own terms for ending the war.’”

“And so, what we’ve seen here is the construction of a total propaganda narrative, that is being repeated by almost every Western news organization, that somehow there are these negotiations going on, that the Iranians are putting proposals in front of the Americans. That’s not what’s happening at all.”

Attacks on press freedom around the world are intensifying, index reveals | Global development | The Guardian

This is a one-two punch dangerous time for journalists and pathetic lapdog corporate media sell-out editors and journalists. A sad time for real journalists is this Lede: The Corporate Media Is Head Over Heels for the Iran War.

Threats of violence against journalists continue to rise in Asia - UCA News

Donald Trump’s attack on Iran may be surreal, unjustified, and illegal. But that’s not stopping the press from turning the propaganda dial way up. Bats in the Collective Press Belfry, I repeat.

Oh, that Magic Formula = $17 an hour X 63.63 hours gets me $850.60 after taxes, don’t you know . . .

Try heaving 70-pound bags of linens, sheets, towels, supplies up and down stairs, driving from one end of the 101 highway to the other, and alas, this is what fucking slave labor a la 2026 and a white guy like me faces.

Pissed, angry, full of retribution and recrimination, for all those Max Blumenthals, Aaron Mates, Katie Halpers, Norman Finkelsteins, the lot of them.

And a couple of non-paying subscribers today “unsubsribed,” which is the most ludicrous fucking upside-down word now in the tech world. You can use “friend” as a verb, and the “unfriend,” verb, oh shit, the kiss of death.

I drive by this pocket park, man, in Newport. Fucking sister cities shit with Mombetsu, Japan, and Newport, Oregon. I saw the delegation on my laundry runs today. Old, goofy-looking Japanese, not a young, edgy person in the mix, and they are Mombetsu’s stalwart citizens, bankers, real estate, and politicians, I am sure.

FUCK JAPAN.

Trump

On April 21, Takaichi’s government announced Japan’s biggest overhaul of defense export rules in decades. Tokyo scrapped outdated restrictions on lethal weapons transfers, opening the door to exports of warships, missiles, and advanced systems to trusted partners. This move strengthens Japan’s defense industrial base, reduces reliance on US taxpayers, and equips like-minded nations to counter shared threats.

The export reform builds on Japan’s record $58 billion defense budget for fiscal year 2026, which took effect in April. The budget accelerates Japan’s counterstrike capabilities, southern island defenses (the emerging “southern shield”), and investments in missiles, drones, and coastal fortifications to deter Chinese aggression near the Senkaku Islands and beyond.

Well-heeled and here to get fed, both calorically and with propaganda, the pomp and circumstance that makes this shit, well, stink like shit. All superficial. Jesus, that fucking Japan, these fucking times, and where are the young folk?

What if "The Glorious Death of One Hundred Million" annihilated the entire Japanese population? : r/AlternateHistory

From the invasion of China in 1937 to the end of World War II, the Japanese military regime murdered between 3,000,000 and over 10,000,000 people, most probably almost 6,000,000 Chinese, Indonesians, Koreans, Filipinos, and Indochinese, among others, including Western prisoners of war. This democide was due to a morally bankrupt political and military strategy, military expediency and custom, and national culture (such as the view that those enemy soldiers who surrendered while still able to resist were criminals).

Towards the end of World War II, the Imperial Japanese government, under Operation Ketsugo, the plan for the defense of the Japanese homeland in the event of an Allied invasion, called for every Japanese man, woman and child to take up arms and sacrifice themselves in the name of the Emperor in what was known as “The Glorious Death of One Hundred Million”.

Also known as the Rape of Nanjing, this horrifying event happened during the Second Sino-Japanese War. For six weeks, Japanese soldiers committed mass murder, torture, and rape in China’s then-capital. Around 300,000 people were slaughtered—men, women, children, even infants. Many were executed en masse, while others were mutilated or burned alive.

This remains one of the most brutal war crimes ever recorded. A true nightmare in human history.

And then, and then, listening to myself on the radio station I have my show on I caught more despicable stuff on May 14: We speak with the acclaimed artist and author Molly Crabapple about her new book, Here Where We Live Is Our Country: The Story of the Jewish Bund. Although largely forgotten today, the Jewish Labor Bund was once a powerful secular, socialist revolutionary party that fought for freedom and dignity for Jews in Europe. The movement formed in the waning days of the Russian Empire in an atmosphere of intense antisemitism, but it “rejected, from the very start, calls to create a Jewish ethnostate in Palestine,” Crabapple says. “They felt that Zionism was a capitulation to the same bigots that wanted to kick Jews out of Europe.”

Bund members — known as Bundists — navigated profound historical changes from the founding of the movement in 1897 until its ultimate destruction in the Holocaust. But Crabapple, who learned Yiddish for the book, says the Bund is not just Jewish history.

“This is a history that belongs to all rebels. It belongs to everyone who believes in the necessity of human solidarity,” she says.

The point is that under a society of domination, one ever more hysterically feeding PR cues to media, and one where the branded pretend left (the disturbingly insalubrious and poisonous Molly Crabapple comes to mind) are now so disfigured emotionally, and so entrenched in representative systems of deceit, that almost everything written or uttered is in the service of neutralizing real dissident voices. We have reached the place where the youth market is so saturated with this pernicious double-speak and intellectual snark couture that they see the validating of an Ayn Rand, for example, as some sort of radical dissident position. Class analysis is all but erased, and newly wealthy journalists (and journalist performers {sic}) are increasingly patronizing toward any voices that challenge their authority. An authority born of column space at The Guardian or VICE. For artists, of course, it is even worse. Nothing, literally NOTHING of any value can be produced within this system. Ergo, Broadway and Lincoln Center or wherever the NYTimes visits, is akin to watching the public beheading of culture.

Yes, I know this person, and she’s living in this van with a dog, going to school, and working several jobs, AND just lost financial aid to the university and SNAP, both 100 percent cuts.

Fucking China under Xi. Jews there, and what fucking history does he really embrace:

[David Sassoon (seated) and his sons Elias David, Albert (Abdallah) & Sassoon David.]

  • Rise in India: After moving to Bombay from Persia in 1832, David Sassoon established a trading firm and eventually leveraged the growing demand for Indian opium in China.
  • Domination and Tactics: By the 1860s, David Sassoon & Co. dominated the trade by purchasing unharvested crops directly from Indian producers, allowing them to undercut British competitors who relied on middlemen.
  • Expansion & “Flower Trade”: They created a sophisticated network in China to sell the narcotic—often called the “flower trade”—under the protection of British treaties, particularly following the 1842 Treaty of Nanking.
  • The “Rothschilds of the East”: Their success in the opium business allowed the family to amass huge fortunes, becoming one of the most powerful business dynasties in Asia, often referred to as “the Rothschilds of the East”

Many Israelis backpacking across India avail themselves of the network of travelers’ aid centers run by emissaries of the Chabad and Breslaver Chassidim — most located in exotic locales that have no indigenous Jewish community. But true cognoscenti know of Sassoon House, a “hekdesh” (nonprofit charitable trust) adjoining the historic Magen David synagogue in Mumbai’s Byculla district.

Here, for a fraction of the cost of a comparable hotel in relatively expensive Bollywood, all Jews are welcome in the air-conditioned kosher guesthouse that operates thanks to the perpetual generosity of the Sir Jacob Sassoon Trusts. And the impact of the Sassoon family trace forward to 2023 when a valuable Hebrew Bible from 1,000 years ago, the Sassoon Codex, goes to auction at Sotheby’s this spring as reported by Religion Unplugged.com earlier this week.

Besides sustaining the landmark Keneseth Eliyahoo and Magen David synagogues in Mumbai and the Ohel David synagogue in Pune, some 160 kilometers (99 miles) to the east, the trust established by Sir Jacob Elias Sassoon (1844-1916) provides free Shabbat and Yom Tov meals, ongoing Torah classes and free medical treatment for needy Jews — while maintaining the two historic Jewish cemeteries in Mumbai and Pune.

A cursory internet search of “Sassoon” reveals links not only to Mumbai — formerly known as Bombay — Pune and Calcutta, but also to Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Kobe, Nagasaki, Yokohama, the Moluccas, Baghdad, Saigon, Amsterdam, London, New York and Jerusalem. This Jewish dynasty knew the power of globalization — and planned for it — well before the word became fashionable.

Unlike the Rothschilds, whose plebian descent from the Frankfurt-am-Main ghetto is well documented, the Sassoons’ pedigree is hidden in a fog of fanciful fiction. Moreover, while the Rothschilds were essentially money-changers turned financiers and private bankers, the Sassoons were merchants, opium dealers and later industrialists who claimed royal descent from King David — and hobnobbed with British royalty.

Relying on namesakes of Sassoon, meaning “joy” in Hebrew, the family identified itself with great rabbis in Spain and elsewhere. One figure, the noted Kabbalist Avraham Sassoon, claimed descent from Prince Shephatiah ben Avital, the fifth son of King David.

Cecil Roth, in his “The Sassoon Dynasty,” dryly notes:

After it attained prominence, the Sassoon clan (or its dutiful panegyrists) endeavoured to link itself up with these remote, but temptingly distinguished, homonyms. In consequence, it was driven to postulate a wholly fictitious family history. It assumed that, after the expulsion of the Jews from Spain by the Catholic monarchs in 1492, their ancestors emigrated eastward — first (with the main body of exiles) to Salonica, then to Constantinople, then to Mesopotamia. But there is no particle of positive evidence to support this colourful story, which in fact robs the Sassoon saga of a great deal of its fascination.

More grounded in fact is the identity of the Sassoon dynasty’s patriarch, Sheikh Sassoon ben Salih (1750-1830). Born to an affluent Baghdadi family, he held the quasi-hereditary titles of “nasi” (prince of the exile) and “saraf bashi” (chief treasurer) to the city’s Ottoman Pasha — in his day Ahmet Pasha. The ancestral home of the family of court Jews, known as Beit Abu Rubin, stood in Baghdad’s Taht at-Takia district near the Tigris River.

New York, NY, November 17, 2022 — The Jewish Museum will present The Sassoons, an exhibition that reveals the fascinating story of a remarkable Jewish family, highlighting their pioneering role in trade, art collecting, architectural patronage, and civic engagement from the early 19th century through World War II. On view from March 3 through August 13, 2023, the exhibition will follow four generations from Iraq to India, China, and England, featuring a rich selection of works collected by family members over time.

The Sassoons

Over 120 works—paintings, Chinese art, illuminated manuscripts, and Judaica—amassed by Sassoon family members and borrowed from numerous private and public collections, will be on view. Highlights include Hebrew manuscripts from as early as the 12th century, many lavishly decorated; Chinese art and ivory carvings; rare Jewish ceremonial art; and Western masterpieces, including paintings by Thomas Gainsborough and Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, and magnificent portraits by John Singer Sargent of various Sassoon family members. The Sassoons will explore themes such as discrimination, diaspora, colonialism, global trade, and war that not only shaped the history of the family but continue to define our world today.

The exhibition narrative begins in the early 1830s when David Sassoon, the patriarch of the family, was forced to leave his native Baghdad due to the increasing persecution of the city’s Jewish population. Establishing himself in Mumbai (then Bombay) and initially involved in the cotton trade, his vision led the family from Iraq to India, China, and finally England where his descendants gradually settled over the decades. His activities soon grew to include the opium trade, which had escalated after the collapse of the East India Company in mid-19th century, ending its monopoly and allowing private companies to engage in this profitable enterprise. He aligned with and benefitted from British colonial interests soon extending his business to China and England by deploying his eight sons to oversee new branches in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and London.

Jews, man, Jews: The judge Benny Sagi, who presided over Netanyahu’s corruption case , was found killed.

Africa’s greatest leader was murdered just 10 days before his 36th birthday.

The CIA sent the poison. Belgium sent the firing squad. Then they dissolved his body in acid so there would be no grave, no ashes, no place for his people to mourn.

His name was Patrice Lumumba.

And his only crime was believing that the Congo belonged to the Congolese.

On Independence Day, Lumumba stood before his people and declared:

“We are going to make of the Congo the centre of the sun’s radiance for all of Africa.”

Six months later, he was dead.

Here is how they silenced him:

In August 1960, President Dwight D. Eisenhower authorised the CIA to eliminate Lumumba. CIA chemist Sidney Gottlieb personally carried poison to the Congo to place in his food or on his toothbrush.

His closest ally, Colonel Mobutu Sese Seko, became the CIA’s principal agent — paid to betray the very man who trusted him.

On January 17, 1961, Lumumba was tortured, beaten, humiliated, and handed over to a Belgian-backed firing squad.

Belgian officers cut his body into pieces and dissolved his remains in sulphuric acid. Patrice Lumumba has no grave. No tomb. No resting place.

Before they killed him, they forced him to swallow the paper containing his Independence Day speech — as if they could erase his words by forcing him to eat them.

The CIA then installed Mobutu, who ruled the Congo for 32 years while foreign powers looted its diamonds, gold, copper, and cobalt as millions suffered in poverty.

Years later, CIA Director Allen Dulles admitted: “I think we overrated the Soviet danger in the Congo.”
They destroyed a man. They destroyed a nation. And they did it over a lie.

Today, the Congo holds some of the world’s largest reserves of cobalt — the mineral that powers smartphones, laptops, and electric cars across the globe. Yet its people remain among the poorest on Earth.

That is not an accident.

That is exploitation disguised as geopolitics.

Patrice Lumumba dreamed of an Africa that controlled its own wealth, wrote its own destiny, and bowed to no empire.

They killed the man, but they could not kill the dream.

If Lumumba had lived… what would Africa look like today?

Fucking house negro, or is that coolie?

Trump went to Beijing, stepped on the red carpet, saw kids with little flags, heard Xi say that relations are going to get better than ever, and came away with nothing.

The first day was pure theater, the kind of diplomatic playacting that China does well and that Trump loves because it generates headlines.

But when you look at what actually happened, the list is short and sad: they renewed licenses for four hundred American meatpacking plants, which is a gesture that Beijing can undo tomorrow morning if it wants to, and they talked about buying oil from the US, which makes no sense at all because China is swimming in discounted Iranian and Russian oil that no American can compete with.

The one item that seemed concrete, the approval for Nvidia’s H200 chip to be sold to Chinese companies, turned into an empty showcase because Beijing instructed Alibaba, Tencent, and ByteDance not to buy, leaving the product dangling in the air like bait that China controls and Trump uses to claim he opened the Chinese market.

And Taiwan, which was supposed to be the hot topic with that “11 billion” package, vanished from the official statement as if it had never existed.

The tech CEOs who traveled with him—Nvidia’s Huang, Apple’s Cook, Tesla’s Musk, Micron’s Mehrotra, Qualcomm’s Amon—all of them are there begging for access to a market that China is deliberately closing because it’s already built domestic alternatives for memory, mobile chips, optical components, GPUs, and doesn’t need to sign anything with anyone anymore.

China isn’t going to sign contracts, isn’t going to give guarantees, isn’t going to rush—it’s just letting everything hang, chips, oil, agriculture, and using each item as leverage for the right moment.

Trump gets the photo for his campaign, and Xi gets the time the world needs to change for good.

More yammering, 5 D chess players:

Xi Jinping quoting Thucydides to Donald Trump is one of the most surreal contemporary images of recent years. On one side, China’s millennial diplomacy, which reasons through symbols, philosophy, historical references, and strategic patience. On the other hand, Trump, who probably thought Thucydides was a new Texan steakhouse brand or a Serbian NBA player.

To get the point: the “Thucydides Trap” is the theory according to which, when an emerging power threatens to replace the dominant one, the risk of war becomes almost inevitable. Thucydides wrote it while recounting the conflict between Sparta and Athens: “It was the rise of Athens and the fear that this caused in Sparta that made war inevitable.” Today, the parallel is evident: China rising, the United States as the dominant power in strategic paranoia.

Now imagine Xi, with a Confucian tone and the air of an imperial mandarin, explaining the concept during the summit. And Trump listened with serious nods for ten seconds, before asking if “Thucydides” voted Republican or if he produces better tariffs than the Chinese ones.

The scene is metaphysical. Xi talks about the historical balance of civilizations, Trump thinks about hamburgers, coyotes to machine-gun at the border, and Truth Social posts written like messages sent at three in the morning after six cans of Diet Coke: “KISS MY A#S!!!”.

And this is the true snapshot of the contemporary West. China using Greek classics to discuss multipolar balance. The United States is responding with memes, trade threats, and wrestling slogans.

Ahh, I couldn’t say it better, quoting from Twitter:

FUCKING TRAITOR

Nothing could be more of a fucking piss take than a frail inbred parasite wrapped in dead animal fur, dripping in stolen jewels robbed from half the planet, sitting on a solid gold throne in a palace built on centuries of blood, slavery, war, famine and theft, lecturing the public about sacrifice, unity and “the future of the nation” while millions can barely afford to put the heating on. The King’s Speech. Look at the theatre of it. Look at the sheer absurdity. A grown man wearing a diamond-encrusted crown worth more than entire towns, reading words written for him by unelected handlers, pretending this is modern civilisation instead of the last rotting carcass of feudalism dressed up with better cameras and cleaner propaganda.

And what was he actually reading? More control. More bureaucracy. More fucking regulation. More promises from the exact same machine that created the collapse in the first place. Talking about “strengthening public services”, “modernising Britain”, “security”, “digital reform”, “public accountability”, “online protections”, “new powers”, “economic growth”, “national resilience”, endless piles of legislation stacked on top of legislation, while ordinary people are worked into the fucking ground just trying to survive another month.

You’ve got this ancient ceremonial relic, dressed like a medieval emperor, reading out plans for more digital systems, more regulation, more surveillance, more state intervention, more centralised control, while pretending it’s all about “fairness” and “safety”. You genuinely could not invent a more dystopian image if you tried. It looks like something out of the fucking Capitol in Hunger Games. Gold everywhere. Thrones. Jewels. Guards in costumes. Ancient rituals. Billion-pound estates. While the peasants sit at home wondering if they can afford eggs and electricity this week.

You’ve got people doing 50-hour weeks, parents skipping meals so their kids can eat, pensioners freezing in their homes, young families buried in rent and debt, while this lot sit under chandeliers worth millions talking about “service”. Service to whom exactly? Because it sure as fuck isn’t the public. These people have never lived like normal people for a single second of their lives. Private guards, private chefs, private doctors, private drivers, private estates, private schools, private everything, funded by the same public they emotionally blackmail into believing they somehow “represent the nation”.

Represent the nation? They don’t even represent reality.

And the weirdest part is, people still clap for it. That’s the real psychological operation. They’ve convinced millions of people that bowing to bloodlines is somehow noble instead of humiliating. Full-grown adults standing in the rain, waving little flags at a family whose entire existence is based on the idea that they were born more important than you because of who slid out of whose womb hundreds of years ago. Strip away the orchestra music, the uniforms, and the fake dignity, and it’s absolutely insane.

If any politician stood up today and proposed this system from scratch, people would think it was satire.

“Right, everyone, hear me out. We’re going to give one family billions of pounds, castles, jewels, military ceremonies, constitutional privilege, and lifelong protection because their ancestors conquered people with swords.”

You’d get laughed straight out of the room.

But because it’s old, people defend it. That’s how deep the conditioning goes. They call it “tradition” because “national humiliation” doesn’t sound as marketable.

And there he is, sat on a throne made of stolen wealth, literally telling struggling people about economic responsibility and national duty while wearing enough diamonds to feed entire communities for generations. You honestly couldn’t write a more insulting image if you tried.

But Mearsheimer and The Judge and the rest of the lackeys like Wolff and Hudson, all clammoring to be on Danny Haiphong’s shit show to discuss how China is Number One.

Trump was accompanied by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, along with a number of tech executives, including Elon Musk of Tesla, Tim Cook of Apple, and Jensen Huang of Nvidia. The U.S. recently sanctioned several Chinese firms it accused of assisting in Iranian oil shipments and supplying satellite imagery allegedly used in Iranian military operations. China condemned the measures as “illegal unilateral sanctions.”

PAPER fucking TIGERS:

The Trump administration’s recent suggestion that Venezuela could become the fifty first state of the United States is so legally and logistically absurd that any serious observer would normally dismiss it as a stray comment from a reality television producer rather than a geostrategic signal. Yet the very farfetched proposal demands a closer look, especially given what it reveals a hidden truth of US geoeconomics in the midst of the well documented Venezuelan quiet surrender and its subsequent forced detente with Washington. To recap the Venezuelan government did not fight to the bitter end but instead negotiated a managed transition that handed over Nicolás Maduro himself while allowing the Delcy Rodriguez faction to remain in nominal control, all in exchange for a gradual relaxation of US sanctions. That relaxation has been incomplete and deliberately staggered, meaning that the Venezuelan state now operates under a kind of conditional US oversight, catering to US demands on a range of issues from oil shipments to diplomatic alignments, yet without receiving the full sanctions relief that Caracas desperately wants.

Yeah, the glory gory AI: Hey Paul,

A couple of weeks ago I heard from a software developer who reached a breaking point with AI. He felt pressured to use it, but after months of trying he realized that LLMs frustrated him and eroded the coding skills he’s developed throughout his career. It only took a little bit of looking at discussions between software developers online to see that this was a common sentiment. For my story today I talked to a number of developers who are being pressured to use AI to code. It doesn’t matter if they want to or if the AI tools even improve their work. The goal is to use them no matter what, and developers told me they worry about how this will impact their industry.

ICE Agents Have List of 20 Million People on Their iPhones Thanks to Palantir

Something about Trump LLC in disarray? ICE Agents Have List of 20 Million People on Their iPhones Thanks to Palantir

The comments made by a senior ICE official at a trade show highlight how Palantir is increasing the speed at which ICE operates. Most people detained by ICE have no criminal conviction.

Yet, oh, yet, more Jew News, and who the fuck cares about Albert Oppen-Monster Eisnstein: His views on Israel and Zionism were concealed and distorted for decades

A few weeks before the creation of the State of Israel, Shepard Rifkin, a New York-based representative of the Stern Group, a Zionist paramilitary organization founded in Mandatory Palestine, requested that representatives of the group meet with Albert Einstein in the United States, “the greatest Jewish figure of the time” according to journalist I.F. Stone. Einstein’s response was unequivocal:

When a real and final catastrophe should befall us in Palestine the first responsible for it would be the British and the second responsible for it the terrorist organizations built up from our own ranks. I am not willing to see anybody associated with those misled and criminal people.

Einstein said that his “life was divided between equations and politics.” Yet, among his biographers—there are hundreds of them—and in the mainstream media, his extensive political writings on Israel and Zionism have been, at best, swept under the rug, or at worst, completely distorted, identifying him as a supporter of the State of Israel.

He’s the Che of Jews? Fuck Jews.

I can’t stop the fucking Jews cluttering my email box:

Dear Reader,

Our May Day campaign is underway, and I want to tell you why this is the moment to give.

If you’ve been reading In These Times, you already know what this publication does better than anyone else. You know that, more than any other outlet, In These Times has been driving the stories that matter for years. The union drives. The antifascist resistance. The ordinary people across the country standing up to the terror of Immigration and Customs Enforcement with a radical valor unseen on American streets since the 1960s, what our prized contributor Shane Burley described in our pages as the “new antifascist consensus.”

A recent Gallup poll shows only 54% of Americans view capitalism favorably, down six percentage points from 2021. Cities are electing democratic socialists. People are signing union cards in unprecedented numbers and standing up against Israeli militarism in unprecedented numbers, too.

The ground is shifting. And In These Times has been covering that shift longer and more fearlessly than anyone.

Support our May Day Campaign

In our historic 50th year, In These Times is being led by interim Executive Director Ari Bloomekatz, whose vision for this institution is as clear as it is necessary. “Pro labor. Antifascist.” That’s how Ari has been describing the path forward—pointing the way to a freer and more equitable future for everyone—50 years after James Weinstein established In These Times to do exactly that: produce journalism to inform and inspire movements for justice around the world.

If that’s what you think we need more of, please make a gift today, or consider increasing your existing one. The hour is late. The need is historically dire. The “return on investment,” as the finance class we’re fighting likes to say, could not, potentially, be higher.

Power the Press

Yours in solidarity, Rick Perlstein, Bestselling author and proud In These Times contributing editor

Fire Sale with the White Man’s House and the Minyan! The interior department is canceling a rule that put conservation on equal footing with development, as Donald Trump’s administration eases restrictions on industries and seeks to boost drilling, logging, mining and grazing on taxpayer-owned land.

A tale of TWO fucking AMericans:

Bobby McEnaney with the Natural Resources Defense Council said repealing the rule “means less protection for the clean drinking water, less protection for endangered wildlife that depend on healthy habitat, and less accountability when corporations leave these landscapes damaged and degraded”.

Industry groups and their Republican allies in Congress strongly opposed the rule and had lobbied to repeal it. They said the change under Biden violated the “multiple use” mandate for interior department lands by catapulting the “non-use” of federal lands – meaning restoration leases – to a position of prominence.

“This action provides greater clarity and predictability for independent oil and natural gas producers – many of whom rely on consistent permitting and leasing processes to operate efficiently and invest in domestic energy supply,” Dan Naatz with the Independent Petroleum Association of America said in a statement.

And so the lobotomies continue: A supermajority of Arab Israeli 12th-grade students support volunteering for non-security-related national service, a study by the Moshe Dayan Center’s Konrad Adenauer Program for Jewish-Arab Cooperation found.

The study was presented at the Tel Aviv Conference of Tel Aviv University in collaboration with the Kadar Foundation on Tuesday.

The study surveyed male and female students, 75.8% of whom supported volunteering for national service unrelated to the military draft. Further, 46.9% of these students expressed “strong support” for the idea.

Almost 60% of Arabs believe that the current state of relations between Arabs and Jews is “not good,” the study found.

However, slightly more, at 63.7%, indicated that they believe in a political partnership between Jews and Arabs. A far lower figure, at 39.7%, believes that there is support for such a political partnership within Israel’s Jewish population.

Fucking Psychotic People now in that land of genocide, rape, murder, starvation! Largest majority of Arab society support joining Knesset coalition, study finds

The study also investigated support for Arab parties in the upcoming Knesset elections, as well as for their joining a potential ruling coalition.

Goddamn, this is a fucking strange, surreal, lobotomized, and calcified cunt of a country! We focus on the, err, little stuff (important, but why not name the school after a Native AMerican word for Sunrise?)

The Portland School Board unanimously approved the renaming of Jason Lee Elementary School in East Portland to Sunrise Elementary School on Tuesday night.

The board first authorized the renaming process in March 2024 following advocacy from people at the school who said Lee’s values were inconsistent with theirs. At the time, a petition circulating for a name change had amassed about 70 signatures.

Lee was a Methodist Episcopal missionary known in Oregon for founding its capital city, Salem, alongside Willamette University as he led a mission to bring Christianity to Indigenous people in the region. The Willamette Heritage Center notes Lee’s vision for Oregon was to fill the state with “white, American, Christian settlers,” and that even some of his fellow ministers saw his work as a “colonization scheme,” one that subsequently displaced Indigenous peoples.

“That history doesn’t represent our diverse, inclusive school, and it doesn’t represent who we’re raising our kids to be,” says Gabrielle Haber, a parent at the school.

A committee of parents, staff, students and community members selected seven finalist names, and a larger voting process saw Sunrise receive 111 of 483 votes cast for a new name. (Officials say 446 people participated in the voting, and that some voted for multiple names.)

Top of mind for many on the committee was honoring the people who were in the region ahead of Lee’s arrival. An accompanying presentation notes that in developing the new name, the committee learned that in Indigenous tradition, important places are not often named after individuals, something that is more of a Western tradition.

In a staff memo, district officials estimate the name change will cost about $30,000 as the school upgrades signage, communications materials, and other materials. The school community, officials note, have agreed to find ways to cover and lower these costs.

“We felt the name ‘Sunrise’ captures both our community and our hopes for our kids’ futures,” Haber says. “We’re literally one of PPS’s easternmost schools, but we’re also a school and a neighborhood that’s growing, blossoming and ready to take on a new day.”

More calcified fucking way of reporting on and see the world: Eurovision Song Contest gets off to a tense start, overshadowed by Gaza.

The Eurovision Song Contest got off to a tense start in Vienna on Tuesday as Israel competed in the first semifinal amid a boycott by ‌five countries over the Gaza war.

Mother’s Day is an Abomination in 2026 — All Wars, All Sanctions, All Economic Hits are Blasphemies Against Mothers and their Children

Paulo Kirk

May 10, 2026

Here’s a Jewish-inspired headline:

“Even the dead are not safe: Israelis force Palestinian family to exhume father’s body”

This is appalling and emblematic of the dehumanisation of Palestinians.

The Israelis said the grave was too close to the recently re-established settlement of Sa-Nur, near Jenin, which is located around 300 metres from the burial site in a long-standing cemetery on privately owned Palestinian land, and therefore had to go.

Even the dead are not safe: Israelis force Palestinian family to exhume father’s body - Palestine Will Be Free

The family of Hussein Asasa was forced to go through the dehumanising process “despite the burial having been coordinated in advance with Israeli security forces,”

Mother’s Day in a time of genocide, particularly in Gaza, is transformed from a celebration into a day of profound mourning, resisting erasure, and enduring immense, violent loss. It highlights the struggle of mothers to keep children alive amidst famine, rubble, and bombardment, with thousands of mothers killed or burying children daily.

The most powerful anti-war Mother’s Day poem is widely considered to be Julia Ward Howe’s Mother’s Day Proclamation, written in 1870. While we often think of Mother’s Day as a time for flowers and cards, its radical history began as a pacifist outcry following the devastation of the American Civil War and the Franco-Prussian War.

History of Mother's Day as a Day of Peace: Julia Ward Howe - The Peace Alliance

Mother’s Day Proclamation

Arise then…women of this day!

Arise, all women who have hearts!

Whether your baptism be of water or of tears!

Say firmly:

“We will not have questions answered by irrelevant agencies,

Our husbands will not come to us, reeking with carnage,

For caresses and applause.

Our sons shall not be taken from us to unlearn

All that we have been able to teach them of charity, mercy and patience.

We, the women of one country,

Will be too tender of those of another country

To allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs.”

From the voice of a devastated Earth a voice goes up with

Our own. It says: “Disarm! Disarm!

The sword of murder is not the balance of justice.”

Blood does not wipe our dishonor,

Nor violence indicate possession.

As men have often forsaken the plough and the anvil

At the summons of war,

Let women now leave all that may be left of home

For a great and earnest day of counsel.

Let them meet first, as women, to bewail and commemorate the dead.

Let them solemnly take counsel with each other as to the means

Whereby the great human family can live in peace…

Each bearing after his own time the sacred impress, not of Caesar,

But of God –

In the name of womanhood and humanity, I earnestly ask

That a general congress of women without limit of nationality,

May be appointed and held at someplace deemed most convenient

And the earliest period consistent with its objects,

To promote the alliance of the different nationalities,

The amicable settlement of international questions,

The great and general interests of peace.

If “respect” is measured by governmental support and quality of life, Nordic countries consistently rank the highest according to the Mothers’ Index:

  • Norway: Frequently ranked as the best country in the world to be a mother due to its exceptional healthcare, low-cost childcare, and flexible maternity leave.
  • Finland and Sweden: These nations are often cited alongside Norway for their strong policies on parental leave and gender equality. [123]

In Mexico, El Dia de la Madre is celebrated every May 10. On this day, children typically gather outside the house in the morning and sing a song to their mothers. Sometimes they may even get a full mariachi band to increase the mood. Then, flowers will be given to the mother, but the more colorful the flower is, the better. In the evening family gathers together for a feast where a traditional Mother’s Day meal “cochinita pibil,” which is a slow-roasted pork.

Las Mañanitas is a traditional Mexican folk song used for birthdays and saints, the first verses go like this:

Estas son las mañanitas

Que cantaba el rey David

Hoy por ser día de tu santo

Te las cantamos aquí

Despierta, mi bien, despierta

Mira que ya amaneció

Ya los pajaritos cantan

La luna ya se metió

These are the morning songs

That King David used to sing;

Today, on the day of your patron saint,

We sing them here to you.

Wake up, my love, wake up!

Look, the dawn has broken;

The little birds are already singing,

And the moon has set.

Happy Son or Daughter’s Mother’s Day:

As of 2024, the United States maintains approximately 25% of the world’s total prison population despite representing a minuscule fraction of the global general population. This disparity underscores a systemic reliance on incarceration that is unparalleled in modern governance.

The Private Prison Industry Looks Forward to Soaring Profits Thanks to Trump’s Budget

The $45 billion for immigration detention in the “Big, Beautiful Bill” represented a long-sought win for private prisons.

  • BlackRock & Vanguard: These investment giants are the two largest holders of both CoreCivic and GEO Group.
  • H.I.G. Capital: This private equity firm, managing $59 billion in assets, owns Wellpath and TKC Holdings, which dominate prison healthcare and food/commissary services.
  • Warburg Pincus: A top private equity firm that owns electronic monitoring services used extensively in the detention system

[An inmate uses a rollaway phone at the jail at the Hall of Justice on December 1, 2015, in San Francisco, California.]

Private equity firms are capturing systems people in prison use and making them even more brutal and unaccountable.

Private equity firms charge high fees while promising big returns for clients, often by squeezing out profits through restructuring, slashing operational costs and loading companies with debt. Unlike publicly traded companies, private equity faces less regulatory scrutiny, so private equity firms can lack transparency, contributing to their shadowy image.

When it comes to the U.S. prison system, private equity is a major player. “I would describe private equity as owning a pretty significant amount of the prison industry,” Bianca Tylek, executive director of Worth Rises, told Truthout. For example, she says, private equity owns roughly 90 percent of the market share of prison telecommunications.

Mothers behind bars are rarely given voice. They languish in their prison cells, rarely visited by family members, and in deep grieving over the loss of their children. Perhaps Orange is the New Black gives us some connection to their world, although it is a world far more painful than the series depicts. In truth, these mothers suffer so many hidden, silenced injuries. But, at least we are closer today to giving mothers behind bars the opportunity that every mother deserves — to give birth to their children with dignity.

Born in chains – Family Inequality

When [Shawanna] Nelson was six months pregnant, she was incarcerated in Arkansas for passing bad checks. She went into labor during her short sentence. A correctional officer shackled her legs to opposite sides of the bed that transported her to ha delivery room, removing them briefly during a nurse’s examination. Nelson was re-shackled immediately after giving birth to her nine-pound son.

Twenty-nine U.S. states allow pregnant incarcerated women to be shackled, even during labor and delivery. This barbaric practice has been condemned by many medical and international humanitarian organizations, including the American Medical AssociationAmnesty International, and the United Nations Committee Against Torture. But it wasn’t until 2000 that even one state—Illinois—enacted legislation restricting the use of restraints.

This is the culture of life that abortion foes are trying to protect: On Wednesday, the Supreme Court of El Salvador upheld, by a 4–1 vote, its strict ban on abortion, refusing to allow a 22-year-old woman to end her pregnancy. That woman, and her baby, are likely now going to die.

The woman, known only Beatriz, is 26 weeks pregnant and has been suffering from lupus and kidney problems, which have worsened as her fetus has grown. The baby, meanwhile, has anencephaly – a developmental disorder in which parts of the brain and skull are missing. In affirming its decision, the court declared that “the rights of the mother cannot be privileged over those” of the fetus. One of Beatriz’s lawyers, Víctor Hugo Mata, said: “The court placed the life of the anencephalic baby over Beatriz’s life. Justice here does not respect the rights of women.”

El Salvador is far from the only place in the world where a fetus – even a nonviable one – takes precedence over the health and life of a woman. In Ireland right now, new obstetric emergency procedures are being implemented and new laws protecting the lives of mothers are finally being debated, following the brutal death of of Savita Halappanavar and her baby in a Galway hospital last fall. Amnesty International this month called Ireland’s strict current abortion policy “out of line with international human rights standards.”

  • France gathered 400 Muslim scholars and beheaded them. In 1917 AD, during the occupation of Chad. In 1852, when France entered the city of Laghouat in Algeria, it killed two-thirds of its population in a single night and burned them alive.
  • France occupied Algeria for 132 years. In the first 7 years after their arrival, the French eliminated 1 million Muslims, and in the last 7 years before their departure, they eliminated 1.5 million Muslims. The French historian Jacques Gorky estimated that the total number of Muslims killed in Algeria from France’s arrival in 1830 to its departure in 1962 was 10 million.
  • France occupied Tunisia for 75 years, Algeria for 132 years, Morocco for 44 years, and Mauritania for 60 years.
  • When France entered Egypt during its famous campaign, French soldiers on horseback entered mosques and raped free women in front of their families. They drank wine in the mosques and turned them into stables for their horses.
  • It is strange to see some people boasting about and defending French civilization, forgetting all its dark history. This is France; remind them of its history.
  • When France entered the city of Aghwat (Laghouat) in Algeria in 1852, it burned two-thirds of its inhabitants to death in just one night.
  • France conducted 17 nuclear tests in Algeria between 1960 and 1966, resulting in an unknown number of deaths estimated between 27,000 and 100,000 and the effects persist to this day.
  • When France left Algeria in 1962, it left behind 11 million landmines more than the total population of Algeria at the time.
  • France occupied Algeria for 132 years. In just the first seven years of their occupation, they massacred one million Muslims, and in the last seven years, they martyred another 1.5 million Muslims.
  • France is the fourth largest holder of gold reserves in the world, with 2,436 tons of gold stored at the Bank of France, even though France has no active gold mines.
  • In contrast, Mali one of the world’s largest gold producers with 14 official gold mines has no gold reserves of its own.
  • Similarly, the Republic of Congo, which ranks seventh among gold-producing countries, also has no gold reserves in its central bank.

My mother was a woman. A Black woman, a single mother, raising two sons on her own. She had dark skin, short hair, and never received love from anyone, except from a group called the Black Panthers. So, that’s why she was a Black Panther.

Jew mother killers:

68% United States

31% Germany

~1.3% Italy

Everyone else combined: less than 1%.

That’s who arms Israel. Three countries. One statistic.

Every time you hear “the international community” condemn something, remember: over 99% of Israel’s major weapons come from just three nations.

The rest of the world? Almost nothing.

No moral high ground. No “rules-based order.” Just Washington, Berlin, and Rome arming while everyone else watches.

THat fucking mother who should be DOA: The lady who laughed at ushering in a new era of inequality in Tennessee is Debra Moody. Southern Baptist. Lover of southern military history. Wife and mother. White trash, RACIST!

Oh, that Jewish State of Murder and Torture: They hate all mothers not bending their knee to their neuroperverse Judaism.

The entire world should condemn Israel murdering innocent people and children.

The silence is deafening.

She was 12 years old.

Yesterday, an Israeli drone targeted her and her father in southern Lebanon. The first strike killed her father. She survived. Terrified, wounded, she ran for her life.

Then another drone followed her.

And killed her too.

Damn the whole complicit world.

Girls who will never be able to celebrate their mothers’ days or have their own mother’s day. Trump slaughtered this innocent elementary school students and didn’t even fucking apologize.
