Inconvenient Truths . . . . EVERYWHERE!!

Europe and Spain are spending on weapons the money that Extremadura needs for hospitals, schools, and also in the countryside. And it’s that Europe has cut the CAP by 22%, when Extremadura doesn’t need tanks or bullets, it needs money for its public services. — Irene Montero

Spanish Member of European Parliament Irene Montero has ignited controversy after calling for Spain to leave NATO, accusing the alliance of endangering Europe by aligning with the United States and Israel. In a fiery statement, Montero said, “Israel and the U.S. — not Iran — have nuclear weapons. And only the U.S. has ever used one.”

She warned that NATO does not protect Europe, but instead “drags us into Trump’s wars,” invoking the memory of the Iraq invasion and insisting Spain must not repeat past mistakes.

As tensions escalate in the Middle East, Montero’s comments have sparked fierce debate in Brussels and beyond. Is Europe truly safer under NATO? Or is it time to rethink transatlantic alliances?

Amid an ongoing assault on its neighbors, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) is attempting to improve its image by posting highly sexually suggestive content featuring its soldiers, changing the prevailing emotion of onlookers from outrage to lust.

A wide range of IDF thirst trap accounts—many with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of followers—proliferate on social media. These accounts are quietly sanctioned by the Israeli government, in an attempt, in its own words, to “appeal” to a young male demographic.

MintPress News explores the phenomenon of Israel using sex to whitewash its actions.

Babes Carrying Out Massacres

Since the October 7, 2023, attacks, virtually every user on social media has been exposed to images of Israeli attacks on civilian infrastructure. But a large subsection of the internet—particularly young males—also see another side of the Israeli military. A myriad of IDF thirst trap accounts also pepper the internet. Pages like “IDF Babes,” “Hot IDF Girls,” and “Girls Defense,”—each with hundreds of thousands of followers across different platforms—post content sexualizing and lionizing female Israeli soldiers in equal measures.

The images and videos often come with explicit political messages. This weekend, for example, IDF babes posted a picture of an IDF soldier in nothing but a bikini, with the caption, “Corporal Dina stumbled across a Syrian T-34/85 tank in our Golan Heights,” thereby explicitly claiming the Golan Heights—Syrian territory illegally occupied since 1968—as Israeli.

Another common template for posting is the “on/off” format, featuring two pictures of the same woman, side by side: one in a combat uniform and another wearing little or nothing.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on 5 December that Tel Aviv’s 2026 defense budget has been set at NIS 112 billion ($34.63 billion), up from the NIS 90 billion ($23.4 billion) included in an earlier draft.

On this day two years ago, Refaat Alareer, a beloved Palestinian English poet and professor from Gaza, was killed in a devastating Israeli airstrike that destroyed his family home.

The targeted murder/tragic attack also claimed the lives of his brother Salah, Salah’s son, his sister Asmaa, and Asmaa’s three children

We will never forget you….

The loudest silence as I and other doctors and British citizens are witch-hunted by the ‘israeli’ jewish lobby is from the ‘anti-zionist’ jewish groups.

I am suspended. I have been arrested twice. My career is being destroyed. Every British institution has been weaponised against me.

And you are silent.

Your ‘anti-zionism’ is a theory. It is not a shield. You claim to oppose this ideology, but you do not stand with those it is crushing. You have sacrificed nothing.

You should be at the forefront of the resistance against the pro-’israel’ jewish groups. Instead, you are nowhere to be found…or worse, you are tone-policing, centring yourselves, or dictating what our movement and liberation should entail.

This shows one thing: you exist to protect your own identity as ‘the good ones,’ not to defend the principle.

But you see… your silence, cowardice and hiding is not a failure.

It is the point. …. Dr Rahmeh Aladwan

The fact that there are ‘israeli’ jews who have the chutzpah to call themselves ‘anti-zionists’ actually proves that the existence of ‘israel’ is for, and can benefit, all jews whether they claim to be ‘zionist’ or ‘anti-zionist’.

Benefit = settle on stolen Palestinian land.

This is how I passed the time in the cell yesterday.

When I was arrested, I asked the officers if I could take some reading material. I am, after all, no longer an amateur because free speech does not exist in Britain.

Thank you, for the EMJ book.

“It’s an honor to know that Dr Rahmeh is reading The Jewish Revolutionary Spirit while imprisoned for thought crimes” — EMJ

A year ago, saying ‘Israel has no right to exist’ would have been dismissed as extreme. Today, amid the horror of Gaza, more and more people are openly agreeing – and Dr Rahmeh Aladwan is one of the voices leading that shift.

In this powerful speech and follow-up interview, the suspended orthopaedic surgeon outlines the Thawabit – the Palestinian principles of liberation – and dismantles the two-state illusion.

She calls anti-Zionism inseparable from anti-Israel, rejects normalisation and demands full decolonization: Palestine from the river to the sea with Jerusalem as its capital.

What was once taboo is now part of everyday conversations in protests, communities and even the media.

Dr Rahmeh’s message captures a turning point: public opinion is moving fast and the old narratives are crumbling under the weight of Israel’s actions.

A reminder:

“It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it,” found in Upton Sinclair’s 1935 book I, Candidate for Governor: And How I Got Licked.

In city crackdowns, more than two-thirds of the people arrested had no criminal record at all, according to detailed reporting from multiple jurisdictions. These operations were described as public safety efforts, yet the data shows a completely different reality. ICE is sweeping up workers, parents, students, and long-term residents who pose no threat and have no criminal history.

The violations extend far beyond civil immigration enforcement. More than 170 U.S. citizens have been detained by ICE, some for days at a time, even after providing proof of citizenship. Several reported being kicked, dragged, or ignored when pleading for officers to review their documents. These are American citizens who were forced into detention purely because ICE refused to verify the information placed in front of them.

Lawful residents are also being targeted. People with valid visas, long-standing green cards, and pending applications have been arrested outside courthouses after scheduled hearings. In multiple states, ICE seized individuals who appeared at court precisely because the court instructed them to be there. These courthouse arrests triggered lawsuits from legal organizations that documented a pattern of unlawful detentions and a complete breakdown of trust in the legal process.

This is not the immigration crackdown that Trump or his Republican allies ran on. They said they would deport undocumented immigrants who are criminals, not every immigrant and certainly not US citizens.

Congress has the authority to investigate these abuses and expose how ICE’s enforcement system has moved away from the law. These documented patterns require immediate oversight before more families are torn apart and more citizens are placed at risk. Even Republicans in Congress should be furious. They need to know we expect them to be furious and take action to stop it.

My fucking itwn, Waldport, OR: Giant Alsi Resort offers a range of amenities for a comfortable stay, including an outdoor seasonal pool and a daily continental breakfast. Rumors flying about Ice contracting with Alsi resort. Any confirmation?

  • Sponsorship: These trips are often organized and funded by non-governmental organizations, such as the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the American Jewish Committee, and the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA), rather than being official government-to-government programs.
  • Participants: Thousands of U.S. law enforcement officials from various agencies, including local police departments, the FBI, CIA, Border Patrol, and ICE, have participated. A former acting Deputy Director of ICE, Peter Edge, was noted to have trained in Israel as part of a counter-terrorism seminar.
  • Tactics Exchanged: The training focuses on “counter-terrorism” tactics, including surveillance, crowd control, racial profiling, and detention and deportation practices.
  • Technology: Israeli companies also provide technology and training to ICE, such as the Cellebrite phone hacking software and border surveillance technology.

“Certain police practices and policies that all happen time and time again, when you look back and try to pull back on the thread to see where they got this from, it always comes back to somebody went to Israel.”

‘Deadly Exchange’: US sends hundreds of law enforcement to Israel to learn ‘worst practices’ from IDF

Through police exchange programs, local and federal officials travel to Israel for training that advocates say further militarizes the police and exacerbates harm to marginalized communities. by Victoria Valenzuela

After George Floyd was murdered by Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin in 2020, advocates said that the knee-to-neck choke-hold used was “used and perfected to torture Palestinians by Israeli occupation forces through 72 years of ethnic cleansing and dispossession.” Members of the Minneapolis Police Department have been trained by Israeli officials.

Following that, when thousands of protestors took to the streets in the Black Lives Matter uprisings, police used racial profiling, tear gas, and other repressive crowd control techniques to quell the protestors. Salem said many of those practices were exported from the violence of Israeli forces.

“When police started using different kinds of weaponry against protesters, Palestinians were already very, very familiar with that kind of confrontation,” Salem said.

Between 2002 to 2009, the Los Angeles Police Department’s chief and deputy chief traveled to Israel for training multiple times. The deputy chief traveled as part of JINSA’s first cohort in their first law enforcement exchange program. During these trips, Israeli companies introduced the LAPD officials to facial recognition and drone technology manufactured in Israel. The police department also developed a “broken windows” approach, which “grows from the idea that constant policing of low-level disorder—through the targeting of Black and brown communities with constant police surveillance, harassment—will somehow deter serious criminal activity.”

After nearly 10 years of training with Israeli forces, the New York Police Department was exposed to have run a “demographics unit” that spied on Muslims and “treated basic acts of daily living as potential crimes,” which are techniques used by Israeli forces on Palestinians. In return, they adopted NYPD’s data collection method.

[Dave Koester on the possibility of an ICE detention center at the airport is more than just a political issue.

“It can be construed from a lot of different angles. I think that there’s concerns on some people’s minds about the economic impact of the stain of a detention facility on the town of Newport. There’s concerns about the loss of the helicopter and the safety of the fishing and recreational fleet and people on the beaches, the surfers that they save every year, over and over, lots of different angles of concern.

“My personal concern is that I care about our immigrant community. I care about their constitutional rights, and I can’t imagine having a facility in eyesight where people are absolutely being detained against their will, with no recourse, no representation. That is unthinkable to me, and I just can’t let that happen,” Koester said.

Waldport will be Jewish Again, MAJA.

Leila, a campaign organiser at JVP who asked that only her first name be used, told Al Jazeera the exchange programme is just one aspect of violent policing in the United States that has existed for decades.

“The violence that we’re seeing today in the US is 100 percent the result of white supremacy and anti-blackness and institutionalised racism in the US,” Leila said.

“The exchange programmes create the opportunity for US armed forces and Israeli armed forces to come together and swap tactics, and deepen the harmful practices and policies that already exist in both countries.”

‘Mosque crawlers’

Some US practices have been influenced by the infamous Israeli infiltration of Palestinian communities as well.

Lawrence Sanchez, a CIA officer who worked to establish the New York Police Department’s (NYPD) “Demographics Unit”, which consisted of informants known as “mosque crawlers” spying on Muslim communities, acknowledged the team drew inspiration from Israeli practices in the occupied Palestinian Territories, according to the report.

New York City Mayor, Michael Bloomberg, using the 1993 bombings of the World Trade Center as a precedent, called the secret operation monitoring Muslims was “legal,” “appropriate” and “constitutional” on Friday.

“It seems horrible to me that the NYPD is treating an entire religious community as potential terrorists,”-– Jethro Eisenstein

“We cannot let our guard down again. We cannot slack in our vigilance. The threat was real. The threat is real. The threat is not going away”, said Bloomberg.

Tithi Bhattacharya, a history professor at Purdue University, formally declined the Modern Language Association’s Aldo and Jeanne Scaglione Prize for South Asian Studies in protest of decisions by the MLA regarding Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

“This decision is not a reflection of the committee’s rigorous work or the value of the prize itself, but a stand taken in light of the institutional silence and policy decisions made by the Modern Language Association regarding the ongoing genocide in Palestine, including the MLA leadership’s appalling suppression of the Delegate Assembly’s right to vote on a proposed resolution to boycott, sanction, and divest from Israel,” Bhattacharya wrote Wednesday in a blog post about her decision.

She had been awarded the 2025 prize for her book Ghostly Pasts, Capitalist Presence: A Social History of Fear in Colonial Bengal, published in August 2024.

“I also hope that by declining, I can contribute to the urgent conversation about the ethical responsibilities of professional academic organizations when facing colonialism, brutal state violence, and genocide,” Bhattacharya wrote. “My book, which my generous colleagues on the committee have recognized, is about how colonial capitalism does not even spare ghosts. Against such power, I still believe our weapon remains solidarity.”

Dear colleagues on the MLA Executive Council,

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude to you and the members of the Aldo and Jeanne Scaglione Prize for South Asian Studies Committee for honoring my book, Ghostly Pasts, Capitalist Presence: A Social History of Fear in Colonial Bengal with this prestigious award. I am genuinely appreciative of the intellectual recognition and the committee’s generosity in selecting my work.

However, after careful consideration, I must respectfully decline the prize.

This decision is not a reflection of the committee’s rigorous work or the value of the prize itself, but a stand taken in light of the institutional silence and policy decisions made by the Modern Language Association regarding the ongoing genocide in Palestine, including the MLA leadership’s appalling suppression of the Delegate Assembly’s right to vote on a proposed resolution to boycott, sanction, and divest from Israel.

As a historian of British imperialism, I cannot close my eyes to the colonial legacies, similarities and solidarities between the Palestinians and my people. Moreover, as an educator of the next generation I find that I cannot in good conscience accept an award from an institution that, in this moment, has failed to meet its moral obligations to principles of justice for Palestinian lives and academic freedom. If I did, I would not be able to face my students in my classes on Decolonization.

I also hope that by declining, I can contribute to the urgent conversation about the ethical responsibilities of professional academic organizations when facing colonialism, brutal state violence, and genocide. My book, which my generous colleagues on the committee have recognized, is about how colonial capitalism does not even spare ghosts. Against such power, I still believe our weapon remains solidarity.

My refusal is rooted in that solidarity with the people of Palestine, suffering and fighting for liberation, and with the scholars, students, and writers who have faced censorship or consequences for speaking out.

The dead are never dead, may they continue to inspire us to first mourn and then to organize.

Thank you once again for the great honor of the nomination and selection.

Sincerely,

Tithi Bhattacharya

Machado, who has been living in hiding in Venezuela since the 2024 presidential election, has expressed interest in traveling to Oslo for the ceremony on Dec. 10.

“I was in contact with Machado last night (Friday) and she confirms that she will be in Oslo for the ceremony,” Kristian Berg Harpviken said.

“Given the security situation, we cannot say more about the date or how she will arrive,” he added.

Venezuela’s attorney general, Tarek William Saab, told AFP last month that Machado would be considered a “fugitive” if she travelled to Norway to accept the peace prize. He added that Machado is accused of “acts of conspiracy, incitement of hatred, terrorism,” and noted that she is under investigation for her support of the United States’ deployment of military forces in the Caribbean.

“Trouble Maker”? What the fuck is wrong with these cunts, these elites. Israel is a Terrorist “state,” fucker, genocide on steroids. ‘Troublemaker’ Israel is a greater regional threat than Iran, says Prince Turki Al Faisal

Milken viewed the securities laws, rules, and regulations with a degree of contempt, feeling they hindered the free flow of trade. However, Stone said that while Milken condoned questionable and illegal acts by his colleagues, Milken himself personally followed the rules. Milken often contacted Fred Joseph, Drexel’s president and CEO, with ethical questions; Joseph was known for his strict view of the securities laws.

Several of the sources James B. Stewart used for Den of Thieves told him that Milken often tried to get as much as five times the maximum markup on trades that was permitted at the time

It is Israel – and not Iran – that poses the greater threat to regional stability, Saudi former diplomat Prince Turki Al Faisal told the Milken Institute’s Middle East and Africa Summit.

The diminished strength and influence of Hezbollah in Lebanon, after the Tehran-backed group fought a war with Israel, and the downfall of the Assad regime in Syria last year have curbed Iran’s ability to affect events across the region.

“So in my view, it is definitely Israel that is the troublemaker and should be reined in by the United States,” Prince Turki told an audience in Abu Dhabi. He referred to Israel’s persistent attacks on Lebanon and Gaza, as well as Syria, as evidence that it is “feeling its oats”.

“By bombing Syria almost on a daily basis, continuing to bomb Palestinians in Gaza or the West Bank, and also in Lebanon where there’s supposed to be a ceasefire, they [Israel] are hardly a harbinger of peace in our part of the world,” Prince Turki said.

GCC members states have announced plans for a joint air defence system. GCC Secretary General Jasem Al Budaiwi has said the initiative will be finalised “in the near future” and it follows attacks on Qatar this year by Israel and Iran.

The Israel strike, which targeted Hamas negotiators in Doha as they studied Gaza ceasefire proposals, was a “warning sign” that showed the GCC must unite to defend itself, Prince Turki said.

“It’s not unusual for us as the GCC to work together to defend ourselves,” he added, pointing to the aftermath of Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Kuwait, when US forces came to the region’s aid in Operation Desert Storm.

Jessica Adams was sanctioned under an Indiana law passed last year that allows students to submit complaints about faculty who they think are unlikely to foster “intellectual diversity” in the classroom.

Many such investigations have been opened, but removing a professor from class is unusual.

Professors and civil liberties groups have protested the law, although so far it’s held up in court.

The National Association of Social Workers defended her use of the Pyramid of White Supremacy, but it’s drawn criticism for including the phrase “Make America Great Again” as one form of covert white supremacy.

Adams also stood by her teaching aid.

“The profession of social work has a particular mission, vision, goals, values, ethics that we are trying to accomplish, and eliminating racism and white supremacy is one of them,” she said.

Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands and Slovenia said on Thursday that they were boycotting next year’s Eurovision Song Contest because Israel would continue to be allowed in the competition.

Many Eurovision fans have agonized over Israel’s participation since its military began an incursion into Gaza after the Hamas-led attacks two years ago. As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza deepened, several member countries said Israel should no longer take part in the musical event.

On Thursday, Israel’s participation in the contest was left unchanged during a meeting of Eurovision’s organizer, the European Broadcasting Union. RTVE, the public broadcaster that organizes Spain’s participation, then said in a news release that the country was boycotting next year’s event, which will be held in Vienna in May.

The broadcaster said it decided to withdraw after it asked for a vote on Israel’s suspension that was not approved.

Back to fucking dual use in the professional drug regeme:

Eli Lilly and Indiana University signed a $40 million research agreement on Dec. 3 that will beef up the availability and accessibility of clinical trials in Indiana.

Under the agreement, Lilly will pay IU up to $40 million over five years to increase access to clinical trials, opening the doors to patients who could benefit from Lilly’s latest medicines in development, Eli Lilly CEO Dave Ricks and IU President Pam Whitten jointly announced at an event at the IU School of Medicine downtown campus on Wednesday.

For Eli Lilly, the agreement is an opportunity to increase patient participation in trials, bring new drugs to market quicker and build readily available infrastructure that can be used repeatedly for clinical trials. For IU, it’s an opportunity for medical students and other students in the sciences to gain experience in pharmaceutical research that could prepare them to enter the life sciences industry at companies such as Lilly.

After Donald Trump announced planned tariffs on pharmaceutical companies, Ricks stated that he was “not so sure” that tariffs were needed and instead supported permanent lower tax rates in the United States, including 15% for business production, and an extension of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, a law that Trump signed during his first term.

White men Cometh:

The U.S. suggests that Europe is being enfeebled by its immigration policies, declining birthrates, “censorship of free speech and suppression of political opposition” and a “loss of national identities and self-confidence.”

“Should present trends continue, the continent will be unrecognizable in 20 years or less. As such, it is far from obvious whether certain European countries will have economies and militaries strong enough to remain reliable allies,” the document said. “Many of these nations are currently doubling down on their present path. We want Europe to remain European, to regain its civilizational self-confidence.”

Fucking Jew and Otherwise Tech:

When fire broke out at the world’s largest battery energy storage facility in January 2025, its thick smoke blanketed surrounding wetlands, farms and nearby communities on the central California coast.

Highways closed, residents evacuated and firefighters could do little but watch as debris and ash rained down. People living in the area reported headaches and respiratory problems, and some pets and livestock fell ill.

Two days later, officials announced that the air quality met federal safety standards. But the initial all-clear decision missed something important – heavy metal fallout on the ground.

I am a marine geologist who has been tracking soil changes in marshes adjacent to the Vistra facility for over a decade as part of a wetland-restoration project. In a new study published in the journal Scientific Reports, my colleagues and I were able to show through detailed before-and-after samples from the marshes what was in the battery fire’s debris and what happened to the heavy metals.

The batteries’ metal fragments, often too tiny to see with the naked eye, didn’t disappear. They continue to be remobilized in the environment today.

That Epstein Island was/is the Poison Pill that has all those Goyim Geeks’ Zippers Down and Golden Showers Recorded in Memorex

Jewish supremacy, Eugenics, Pedophilia, Epstein’s DNA spreading throughout the Jewish and Non-Jewish Land — Deviant motivations

Paulo Kirk

Dec 06, 2025

“A system of Jewish supremacy, wherein non-Jews are structurally discriminated against or excluded in a tiered scheme: some non-Jews have most of the rights… while most non-Jews live under severe segregation, separation, and domination… If it’s not apartheid, it rhymes”

Leonard Cohen. In a poem from his 1975 collection The Energy of Slaves he wrote:

The 15-year-old-girls

I wanted when I was 15

I have them now

it is very pleasant

it is never too late

I advise you all

to become rich and famous.

Cohen was driven in particular by his hunger for young women. He was skilled at framing his lust not as a desire to consume, but as an homage to beauty. “When a woman becomes your content, and you become her content—that’s love,” he once said. It isn’t, of course—content is consumed, not cherished. It is interesting how many are willing to make excuses for the unforgivably selfish behavior of great artists—all of Cohen’s biographers do. But anyone who has read Cohen knows he was an extraordinarily keen observer of the human condition. So what excuse can be made for the way he treated women, time and again?

The most romanticized period of Cohen’s career was his time on the Greek island of Hydra, where he wrote novels, poems, and songs; mingled with other artists; and shacked up with the blond Scandinavian beauty Marianne Ihlen. As one of Cohen’s close friends, Steve Sanfield, put it: “There were revolutions going on in literature, and there was a sexual revolution, which we’d thought we won and we probably lost.” But it didn’t seem that way for a time on Hydra, with the yellow beaches and bronzed bodies and endless booze and conversation. As Cohen noted giddily in one interview, the fact that the sexual revolution exploded just as his desires did was “magic.”

The adults used that magic to live in Neverland as long as they could. But as Irving Layton’s wife, Aviva, noted, few marriages survived that island paradise (her husband insisted on an open marriage, which gave her great pain). Few children did, either. The histories of those raised on the island are rife with substance abuse, suicide, and institutionalization. Marianne’s son Axel never recovered and spent much of the rest of his life in mental hospitals.

For all the high-flown poetry, Cohen’s copulations were fundamentally cannibalistic. His biographer Sylvie Simmons writes that he tried to make women love him, withdrew when he succeeded, and used the subsequent heartbreak to fuel his writing. A line in his 1963 novel, The Favourite Game, sums it up: “Supposing he went along with her toward living intimacy, toward comforting, incessant married talk. Wasn’t he abandoning something more austere and ideal…something which could apply her beauty to streets, traffic, mountains, ignite the landscape—which he could master if he were alone?” Like so many artists, he deluded himself into believing that passionate promiscuity could be the pursuit of art.

It was the women and children who paid the price of these delusions. There is a trail of blood through Cohen’s canon. In Leonard Cohen, Untold Stories: The Early Years, musician Julie Felix says of Marianne: “He made her have five abortions. Five sounds about right. She told me. He has that song [“You Know Who I Am”] where he says, ‘I need you to carry my children in/And I need you to kill a child.’” Cohen’s friend Peter Katoundas recalled that one abortion had left Marianne sterile, which gave birth to these gruesome lines in Cohen’s song “Diamonds in the Mine”:

Fucking rapists and sex traffickers and pedophile rapists and blackmailers and ZIM/Murder Inc, and here you have the Jews defending and yukking it up about the fucking slime dirt shit named Jeffrey Epstein:

Fucking Jew siblings, man, what whores:This cunt Mark will be looking for money money money!

At an X-space discussion with Live Radio 1 on November 11, Mark asserted that, at first, he thought that his brother had committed suicide, as the FBI and other government agencies claimed.

“I had no reason to doubt it [the suicide claim]. He was facing a long time in jail,” Mark said. “The life of a convicted pedophile is not very pleasant and Jeffrey was used to living life the way he wanted, with people around who catered to him and took care of him….He had no kids, our parents are gone; he didn’t have anyone to worry about. I thought he took the decision not to go through a trial and potential prison sentence, and decided to take himself out.”

Mark said that, when he hired the renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden, he expected Baden to confirm that his brother had committed suicide. However, he said that Dr. Baden instead said he couldn’t call it a suicide because it “looked too much like a homicide.”

Dr. Baden told 60 Minutes that fractures found in the autopsy photos under Jeffrey’s neck and jaw were inconsistent with a suicide hanging. Baden said: “Going over a thousand jail hangings, suicides in the New York City state prisons over the past 40-50 years, no one had three fractures [as Epstein did].”[ Covert Action Magazine

But the newly released emails also raise ethical questions about the role played by acclaimed author Michael Wolff as he appeared to provide advice to Epstein on how to handle his dealings with Trump.

In the exchanges published by the Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, Wolff – best known for his bestselling books on the first Trump presidency – appeared to share confidential information before a presidential debate on CNN in December 2015 with Epstein, advising him on how to exploit his connection with Trump.

“I hear CNN planning to ask Trump tonight about his relationship with you – either on air or in scrum afterwards,” Wolff wrote.

“If we were to craft an answer for him, what do you think it should be?” Epstein replied.

“I think you should let him hang himself. If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency,” Wolff told Epstein.

I’ve had Jeremy on my radio show, but whew, with Garland, man, that fucking Oreo Cookie, that Pig, so proud of his ACAB uniform days, yukking it up about a pedophile and sex trafficker and drug dealer and thief and, well, honey traps ALWAYS lead to murder and suicide. When former Harvard President Lawrence H. Summers was pursuing a romantic relationship with a woman he described as a mentee, he sought guidance from a longtime associate: convicted sex offender Jeffrey E. Epstein.

In a sequence of texts and emails between November 2018 and July 5, 2019, Summers turned to Epstein for advice on his pursuit of the woman. Epstein was quick to chime in with assurance and suggestions, describing himself in one November 2018 message as Summers’ “wing man.”

The messages became public after House Republicans released more than 20,000 files from the Epstein estate on Wednesday. Summers’ correspondence with Epstein, a financier who pled guilty to soliciting prostitution from a minor in 2008, ends just one day before Epstein was arrested on new sex trafficking charges.

Together, the messages show Summers — who served as Treasury Secretary under former United States President Bill Clinton — placing an extraordinary degree of trust in Epstein, asking him for help in navigating a relationship that blurred the boundaries of his professional and personal lives.

Summers, who has been married since 2005, told Epstein he thought the woman was reluctant to leave him because she valued his professional connections. Epstein told him in one June 2019 text, “She is doomed to be with you.”

“Think for now I’m going nowhere with her except economics mentor,” Summers wrote in November 2018. “I think I’m right now in the seen very warmly in rear view mirror category.”

“She must be very confused or maybe wants to cut me off but wants professional connection a lot and so holds to it,” Summers wrote in a March 2019 exchange to Epstein, explaining why he believed she continued to engage with him despite tensions.

A spokesperson for Summers said that the woman described in the exchanges was never Summers’ student, but declined to comment further for this article.

In at least some of his exchanges with Epstein on the relationship, Summers appears to refer to macroeconomist Keyu Jin ’04, a tenured professor at the London School of Economics at the time, who is mentioned in a series of late 2018 messages between the two men.

In one, Summers forwarded Epstein an email from Jin asking for feedback on a paper. Summers mused to Epstein that it was “probably appropriate” to hold off on responding.

“She’s already begining to sound needy 🙂 nice,” Epstein replied.

Jin, who earned her bachelor’s degree and Ph.D. at Harvard between 2000 and 2009, declined to comment on the months of messages between Summers and Epstein. In the messages released by the House, she does not refer to a romantic relationship with Summers. It is not clear whether she was aware that Summers shared her emails or discussed her with Epstein.

Throughout the seven months of correspondence reviewed by The Crimson, Summers and Epstein referred to the woman Summers was pursuing in some messages by the code name “peril” but never used her name in messages directly describing the relationship. On at least two occasions, the two men discussed Jin’s emails to Summers, which he forwarded to Epstein. In later messages, the two men appeared to joke about the probability that Summers would have sex with the woman, apparently Jin.

Summers’ long relationship with Epstein has been well documented, but the depth of their conversations, including over intimate matters, became public only this week. He traveled on Epstein’s private airplane on at least four occasions, including at least three times while serving as president of Harvard. Summers also met more than a dozen times with him and solicited donations from the disgraced financier for his wife, Harvard English professor emerita Elisa New. The messages released Wednesday show Summers organizing visits to Harvard on Epstein’s behalf and discussing contributions for New’s work.

“I have great regrets in my life,” Summers wrote in a Wednesday statement to The Crimson. “As I have said before, my association with Jeffrey Epstein was a major error of judgement.”

The exchanges concerning Jin’s messages and Summers’ relationship began shortly before a November 2018 investigation from the Miami Herald surfaced accusations from 80 girls and women that Epstein had abused them between 2001 and 2006, drawing on court records and interviews. Summers continued to correspond with Epstein about his relationship even after the Department of Justice opened an investigation in February 2019 into Epstein’s 2008 plea deal.

Wednesday’s documents also revealed messages where Summers, whose speculation that innate differences between men and women could drive women’s underrepresentation in science contributed to the end of his Harvard presidency in 2006, joked about women’s intelligence and what he described as excessive penalties for men who “hit on” women in the workplace.

In an October 2017 email to Epstein, Summers retread the same terrain that had proven treacherous for him in the past, writing that he “observed that half the IQ in world was possessed by women without mentioning they are more than 51 percent of population….”

Summers has continued to teach at Harvard since, interrupted by brief stints in Washington, and currently holds Harvard’s highest faculty distinction as a University Professor. This semester, he is teaching two large undergraduate courses and one graduate class.

The first interactions between Summers and Epstein on his relationship with the woman — apparently Jin — appear in late November and early December 2018, when she and Summers seem to have met during an academic conference. For two days, Summers sent Epstein updates on his interactions with her.

On Dec. 1, Summers wrote that the woman had been “interested in my commentary on her outfits” and said he had “referenced your having figured us out” — suggesting Summers told her that Epstein was aware of their relationship.

Summers described his feelings as conflicted in the messages to Epstein, writing in remarkably candid terms.

“When I’m reflective I think I’m dodging a bullet,” he wrote. “Think right thing is to cut off contact. Suspect she will miss it. Problem is I will too.”

The next morning, Summers struck a different tone: “Game day at conference she was extremely good Smart Assertive and clear Gorgeous. I’m fucked.”

In messages from later that month, Summers and Epstein discussed Summers’ relationship with Jin’s father, a former high-ranked Chinese Communist Party official and the founding president of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, who Summers had long been close with.

When Jin emailed Summers on Dec. 22 to thank him for his support of her and her father — minutes after she sent Summers an outline of an academic paper — Summers forwarded the exchange to Epstein, explaining that he had recently “sent a comment in mtg w her father flattering her father and saying other China officials had flattered him as well.”

Summers continued to detail his interactions with the woman — who appears to be Jin but is not named in the Epstein emails after December 2018 — throughout March 2019, now expressing frustration that she was canceling or shortening plans and appeared to be interested in another man.

“I think she is tired of this alas. Sustaining w secrecy hard,” he wrote.

The final tranche of messages, beginning in mid-June, shows the relationship still unresolved and Summers again turning to Epstein for guidance on how to pursue it. Summers asked Epstein whether it was “meaningful” to discuss the probability of “my getting horizontal w peril,” drawing parallels to forecasting Trump’s reelection.

“U r better at understanding Chinese women than at probability theory,” Summers told Epstein. The two men bantered about probability and mathematics, but repeatedly steered the conversation back to Summers’ relationship.

Epstein joked that “the probability of you in bed again with peril” was “0,” before reversing course and assuring Summers that “she is never ever going to find another Larry summers. Probability ZERO.”

Summers went on to describe what he saw as his “best shot”: that the woman finds him “invaluable and interesting” and concludes “she can’t have it without romance / sex.”

Throughout June, Summers fed Epstein updates about the woman’s workload and continued contact. Epstein urged him to play the “long game” and keep her in what he called a “forced holding pattern.”

The final messages, dated July 5, 2019, show Summers still in regular contact with Epstein. That morning, Summers wrote he was in Cape Cod with his family — “Bit of an Ibsen play,” he joked — and the two men exchanged a brief flurry of literary one-liners.

The thread ends at 1:27 p.m.

Epstein was arrested the next day.

A young Jeffrey Epstein plays the accordion at a bar mitzvah celebration, accompanied by a live band. The handwritten note at the bottom reads ‘Aaron Brown Bar Mitzvah, Wynn Hotel, Philly, Sept. 23, 1961.’

Amid the misogyny, however, runs another, less examined thread: traces of Epstein’s Jewish identity. The book reveals his Jewish name, Yudel; shows him squeezing an accordion at a bar mitzvah; records a family trip to Israel in 1985; and contains affectionate notes from childhood friends who grew up with him in the Jewish enclave of Sea Gate, Brooklyn.

It is a portrait of a man whose Jewishness, while never central to his public persona, was interwoven with his life story and social circles, which in later life included close ties with prominent Jewish figures like Leslie Wexner and Alan M. Dershowitz, both of whom contributed letters to the birthday book.

A letter signed “Leslie” features a drawing of a set of breasts below the words, “I wanted to get you what you want.”

Born in 1953 to Seymour and Paula Epstein, the children of Jewish immigrants, he grew up in Sea Gate, a gated community at the tip of Coney Island. In the 1950s and ’60s, Sea Gate was a predominantly Jewish, middle-class enclave, and the Epstein family lived across the street from the Kneses Israel synagogue, today affiliated with the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.

According to the 2017 investigative biography “Filthy Rich,” he was known to friends as “Eppy” and remembered as sweet and generous. He showed talent in math and the piano. Much of his extended family had perished in the Holocaust.

The birthday book adds new texture. A biographical note beneath his birth certificate appears to record his “Jewish name” as Yudel, a Yiddish form of the Hebrew name Judah. Before he took up the piano, Epstein played the accordion. A letter from his mother recalls him performing on the instrument at both his own bar mitzvah and that of his “uncle Lenny.” Another page features a photograph of Epstein playing the accordion, captioned “Aaron Brown bar mitzvah.”

A brief recollection by Epstein’s father notes that the family traveled to Israel in 1985 to visit relatives. The trip reflects a typical American Jewish connection to Israel, though with luxuries rare for the time, when Israel was far less developed than it is today. The account mentions stays at the Plaza Hotel in Tel Aviv and the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, “where my son Jeff hired a limo to take us around.”

This period in Epstein’s life coincided with his foray into international intrigue. In 1981, he founded Intercontinental Assets Group, a consulting firm he described as a high-level bounty-hunting operation, working at times for governments or billionaires and at other times for embezzlers themselves.

By the mid-1980s, he was traveling frequently across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, and reportedly telling some people he worked in intelligence. He forged ties with defense contractors, financiers, and media baron Robert Maxwell, the father of his future girlfriend. One of his clients was Saudi arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi, who played a central role in the Iran-Contra affair by acting as an intermediary in the covert transfer of American weapons routed through Israel to Iran.

Several letters come from Jewish childhood friends, capturing the camaraderie of boys who came of age together in Sea Gate. These reminiscences are presented as tender and humorous, but they also hint at patterns that would later curdle.

One letter recalls Epstein’s antics at a Jewish singles weekend at the Concord Hotel, a Catskills resort that epitomized mid-century Jewish leisure. Epstein and his friends, the note says, were kicked out of the resort after setting a room on fire and throwing food. The letter also appears to recount a prank in which Epstein impersonated a rabbi to lure his daughter close, the payoff described as a chance to “touch her boobs.”

Alongside these youthful stories appear tributes from some of the most powerful Jewish figures in Epstein’s orbit as an adult.

The presence of Wexner — a major donor to Jewish causes and the billionaire founder of L Brands, the company behind Victoria’s Secret and other retail chains — reflects his well documented and longstanding ties to Epstein, which have caused angst among the many Jewish professionals who have received prestigious fellowships that still bear his name.

A letter from Alan Dershowitz, the famed Harvard law professor, jokingly boasts that, as a birthday gift, he persuaded Vanity Fair to shift the focus of an article away from Epstein and onto former president Bill Clinton. The private equity titan Leon Black, a benefactor of the Jewish Museum and other Jewish institutions, signed off “Love and Kisses” after likening Epstein to Ernest Hemingway’s fisherman in “The Old Man and the Sea.”

Another letter comes from the real estate and media magnate Mort Zuckerman, a past president of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. Peter Mandelson, the British diplomat of Jewish heritage, and the late Nobel prize laureates Murray Gell-Mann and Gerald Edelman, the mathematician and biologist Martin Nowak, and the influential Harvard administrator Henry Rosovsky round out the group.

Many of the men who once praised Epstein have since sought to explain or distance themselves from the relationship. Wexner has said he was “deceived” by Epstein, who misappropriated vast sums of his fortune, while Dershowitz has downplayed the entry and denied any wrongdoing.

Black called the association a “terrible mistake.” Mandelson said he deeply regrets the relationship. Others, including Nobel laureates and prominent scientists, acknowledged Epstein primarily as a patron of research but later condemned his conduct.

Rosovsky, a refugee from the Nazis who shaped Harvard for decades including by nurturing Jewish life on campus, died in 2022 at age 95 without commenting publicly about the allegations against Epstein. Decades earlier, Epstein and Wexner had underwritten Rosovsky Hall, the home of Harvard Hillel, in his honor; the building had a plaque naming Epstein that was removed as he became associated with scandal.

Last month, Rosovsky was implicated in Epstein’s exploits for the first time, when a court transcript was released showing that Ghislaine Maxwell testified that he had received a “massage” — a euphemism for a sexual encounter — at Epstein’s townhouse.

The entry in the birthday book attributed to Rosovsky is in keeping with the dominant theme. “For the man who has almost everything — but never enough of these!” it says in handwritten cursive, alongside two color images labeled “tit print.”

With the birthday book now in the congressional record, its contents are poised to ripple through partisan battles in Washington, as lawmakers debate what, if anything, should come next in reckoning with Epstein’s web of connections. — In Jeffrey Epstein’s birthday tribute, traces of his Jewish upbringing surface alongside lurid tales

Read all about this fucking JEW, not so unlike other JEWS: The Jewish paedophile network of Epstein and Maxwell

Maria Farmer, Epstein’s earliest known victim and one of the few insiders willing to speak publicly in clear, unvarnished terms, has repeatedly described how Epstein racialised himself. Not merely in the sense of seeing himself as above others — most grandiose predators do that — but in specifically biological terms, tied first to his ancestry and then to his haplotype. Farmer recounts Epstein mocking her for her “European” ancestry, dismissing her as inferior because she was “white”, and insisting that he himself was not white. That claim is baffling to anyone who sees Epstein as just another white American financier. But for Epstein, the distinction was crucial. He believed his Jewish lineage marked him as biologically separate, and superior.

Farmer describes Epstein discussing his haplogroup at length — a specific combination of genetic markers he believed endowed him with particular intelligence, vigour, and evolutionary fitness. He told her, in all seriousness, that his Ashkenazi haplogroup placed him above the “ordinary” Europeans whose ancestry he viewed as weaker, less refined, or less valuable. Ghislaine Maxwell reportedly reinforced the same hierarchy, joining Epstein in mocking Farmer’s “white girl” lineage.

Survivor testimony is not a laboratory report; it stands or falls on credibility. But in Farmer’s case, her record of accuracy — especially regarding Epstein’s relationship with Les Wexner, which she was the first to expose — makes her account more than plausible. It fits with what scientists and journalists later documented independently: Epstein’s near-messianic fixation on genetics, heredity, and the improvement of the human species through selective breeding.

The eugenics dimension

In August 2019, The New York Times revealed Epstein’s self-proclaimed plan to “seed the human race” with his DNA by impregnating up to twenty women at his New Mexico ranch. Other outlets reported his attempts to build a private “human colony” based on his genetic lineage. Epstein courted scientists steeped in IQ research, transhumanism, and hereditarian theories of intelligence: Charles Murray, Steven Pinker, George Church, Murray Gell-Mann, Stephen Hawking, and others. He funded research in genetics and neuroscience, attended academic salons on evolutionary selection, and used philanthropy to embed himself within scientific circles fascinated by biological enhancement.

In other words, when Maria Farmer says Epstein believed in the biological supremacy of his Ashkenazi haplogroup, she is not fabricating an isolated eccentricity. She is giving us the missing conceptual frame through which the rest of Epstein’s conduct — previously inexplicable — becomes coherent. The sexual predation, the recruitment of girls, the abuse of power, the blackmail, the connections to intelligence services, and the transhumanist ambition were not disconnected phenomena. They were different faces of the same, deeply pathological worldview.

According to Farmer, Epstein constantly talked about his “haplogroup” — something like “R-B”, she said (likely R1b or related). Farmer’s recollections suggest he had researched his own haplotype extensively and viewed it as elite or superior. Farmer also states that Epstein tied this directly to his “Ashkenazi Jewish intelligence”. Ghislaine Maxwell reportedly behaved the same way; Farmer has stated that Ghislaine also ridiculed her for being European-white, and joined Epstein in this racialised elitism. This again aligns with Maxwell’s own background: daughter of Robert Maxwell, who very openly emphasised Jewish identity, superiority complexes, and ethnic exceptionalism.

Even without bringing in anything speculative, Maria Farmer’s account shows that Epstein held a racialised hierarchy of ancestry: Epstein’s DNA was superior to Farmer’s European non-Jewish ancestry. He openly mocked “white” people, and specifically chose blue-eyed, blonde haired white girls as his victims in order to humiliate them and demonstrate his racial superiority.

An inverted mirror of the grooming-gang narrative

And this is where an unsettling irony comes into focus — a mirror image of one of Britain’s most toxic political narratives. For years, far-right commentators in England have insisted that the so-called “grooming gangs” were racially motivated: that “Muslim men” sought out young white girls, especially blonde and blue-eyed ones, in order to degrade English society and demonstrate their civilisational dominance. This story, repeated endlessly in certain tabloids and nationalist circles, claims that the victims were chosen for symbolic reasons — that their white ancestry made them targets. It is now well established that this reading is inaccurate, simplistic, and politically loaded. The Home Office has repeatedly stated that “race” and “white girl targeting” are not proven drivers in these cases. But the story persists because it satisfies a particular emotional need: the idea of white Britain under siege by racialised outsiders.

Yet if Maria Farmer’s testimony is accurate, something resembling this narrative — racialised humiliation through sexual exploitation — did happen. Just not where the far-right imagined it. Not in Rotherham or Rochdale, but in the penthouses of Manhattan, the mansions of Palm Beach, and the private island in the Caribbean. Not among marginalised immigrant communities, but in the elite world of a billionaire financier with connections to royalty, intelligence services, and global scientific networks.

Epstein appears to have chosen girls who visually represented the “European” phenotype precisely to degrade them. In Farmer’s account, the blonde-haired, blue-eyed appearance of his victims was not incidental — it was symbolic material. He viewed European ancestry as biologically weaker than his own and used sexual domination as a performance of that imagined supremacy.

In other words, the far-right’s favourite fantasy — a racialised predator humiliating white girls — is not a description of the British grooming-gang scandal. It is, rather, a grotesque inversion of what Epstein himself appears to have enacted.

This parallel is important not because it scores points in a culture war, but because it exposes something fundamental about the way racial ideologies function. The far-right constantly projects onto others the very impulses it refuses to acknowledge in itself: hierarchy, domination, fantasies of purity, and obsessive anxieties about who is breeding with whom. Their narrative about “foreign predators” mistreating white girls turns out to be a mirror held up to their own obsessions — obsessions that Epstein, in an entirely different social register, appears to have embodied. The story Britain tells about grooming gangs is a projection.

Why this changes everything

Epstein was not merely a predator or a blackmailer. He was, in his own mind, a genetic visionary — grotesque, delusional, and cruel, but nonetheless driven by a coherent ideology. Once we take this ideology seriously, Epstein’s network looks qualitatively different.

The standard model of his operation assumes a simple logic: (1) acquire victims for personal gratification; (2) use sexual access to curry favour with elites; and (3) employ kompromat techniques to gain leverage. This model, though grim, remains relatively narrow. It sees Epstein as a morally deranged opportunist, not an ideologue.

But Farmer’s testimony, combined with the documented eugenic dimension, suggests a fourth pillar: use victims as raw material in a racialised project of hereditary Jewish supremacy.

The ranch in New Mexico — long dismissed as a bizarre footnote — looks different through this lens. So do Epstein’s relationships with scientists, his obsession with IQ genetics, his fascination with human breeding, and his insistence on the biological distinctiveness of his own ancestry. The entire network reconfigures itself into a system that served three functions simultaneously: sexual exploitation, elite influence and blackmail, and a delusional programme of genetic “improvement” through personal propagation. It is a structure that begins to resemble the most nightmarish visions of twentieth-century eugenics — except privatised, globalised, and hidden behind the smiling, cosmopolitan veneer of the billionaire class.

The Mega Group

It is in this context that we should take a fresh look at Epstein’s connections with Les Wexner and the Mega Group. Epstein became Wexner’s financial adviser in the late 1980s, and Wexner granted Epstein power of attorney over his affairs in July 1991. Epstein managed many of Wexner’s assets and business matters, and the only publicly confirmed billionaire client of Epstein was Wexner. Wexner later said Epstein misappropriated “vast sums of money” from him and his family. Multiple accounts suggest that the relationship gave Epstein access to the Wexner networks, properties, and social circles. For example: the very large Manhattan townhouse that was later linked to Epstein was originally owned by Wexner.

Together with Charles Bronfman, Wexner also co-founded the Mega Group. Some sources claim that Epstein used or leveraged the Mega Group network to build his elite contacts. Establishing the exact link between Epstein and Bronfman via the Mega Group is hard to verify, however, because the Mega Group is a very private, loosely organised club; there are no public membership lists, no formal charter, etc. There is a lot more that needs investigating here.

Maria Farmer recounts a time when she was at one of the fancy country clubs ran by the Mega Group and wasn’t allowed to go get food. When she called Ghislaine Maxwell and asked why she couldn’t eat there, Ghislaine replied: “It’s a Jewish country club. You’re not Jewish. They’re not going to serve you.” Commenting on this reply, Farmer expressed her astonishment: “This is how this woman spoke to me. This is how these people think. They honest to God think their DNA is better than everybody else’s. I swear to you, it was a theme all the time with them — with Eileen Guggenheim, with Jeffrey Epstein, with Ghislaine. It was a theme.”

The ideology behind the evil

Recognising Epstein’s genetic Jewish supremacism does not lessen the horror of his crimes; it sharpens our understanding of them. Predatory behaviour on its own can be explained by appetite and impunity. But when the predator believes he is biologically superior, when he mocks victims for their ancestry, when he envisions himself as a genetic seed for a future elite, the abuse becomes ideological. It takes on a meaning beyond personal gratification. It becomes the enactment of a worldview.

If Maria Farmer’s accounts are accurate — and there is every reason to treat them seriously — then Epstein’s crimes were rooted in an explicit belief in the hierarchical value of human DNA. His network was not merely a pleasure palace or a blackmail operation. It was, in Epstein’s diseased imagination, an inverted form of Nazism — a project of Jewish biological supremacy.

This does not require conspiracy theories. It requires listening to survivors, reading the documented record, and taking seriously the ideological dimension of a man who was, in his own mind at least, a eugenicist for the globalised Jewish elite.

Until that dimension is confronted, Epstein’s network will continue to be misunderstood — and the lessons of his crimes will remain incomplete.

US media barely touches Epstein links with Israeli intelligence

This was 1947, and I had just turned eighteen. I was deeply interested, as I had been for some years, in radical politics with an anarchist or left-wing (anti-Leninist) Marxist flavor, and even more deeply involved in Zionist affairs and activities—or what was then called “Zionist,” though the same ideas and concerns are now called “anti-Zionist.” I was interested in socialist, binationalist options for Palestine, and in the kibbutzim and the whole cooperative labor system that had developed in the Jewish settlement there (the Yishuv), but had never been able to become close to Zionist youth groups that shared these interests because they were either Stalinist or Trotskyite and I always been strongly anti-Bolshevik.

He eventually stayed on a kibbutz for a few months in 1953 and had a positive experience of this spartan, egalitarian community:

The kibbutz where we lived, which was about twenty years old, was then very poor. There was very little food, and work was hard. But I liked it very much in many ways. Abstracting it from context, this was a functioning and very successful libertarian community, so I felt. And I felt it would be possible to find some mixture of intellectual and physical work. I came close to returning there to live, as my wife very much wanted to do at the time.

A tenured professor at San José State University in California is fighting for her job after the university fired her last month over her pro-Palestinian activism – the first tenured faculty member fired from a public university in connection to campus protests against Israel’s war in Gaza.

Sang Hea Kil, a longtime member of the university’s justice studies department and a faculty adviser for its Students for Justice in Palestine chapter, is the latest in a growing list of university professors and staff who have been suspendedinvestigated and in some cases dismissed or forced out in connection to the wave of pro-Palestinian protests that swept US campuses in the first year of Israel’s war in Gaza.

Kil, who is contesting her dismissal, was the second tenured faculty member dismissed from a US public university over pro-Palestinian activism after Steven Salaita, who was fired in 2014 from the University of Illinois over a series of social media posts critical of Israel’s bombing of Gaza that year. Maura Finkelstein, another tenured professor, was fired from Muhlenberg College, a private liberal arts college, following her criticism of Israel’s most recent war in Gaza, while Katherine Franke, a Columbia University law professor and longtime advocate for Palestinian rights was forced out amid what she called a “toxic and hostile environment for legitimate debate around the war in Israel and Palestine”.

Whoops, back to a fucking megalomaniac Jew: Michael Bloomberg, who donated $600 million in 2024 to support medical schools at four historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), has a new plan to back Black education: Funding K-12 charter schools on HBCU campuses. On Thursday, the billionaire former New York City mayor’s Bloomberg Philanthropies and the education nonprofit City Fund announced a $20 million initiative to fund two public schools in Alabama, one at Stillman College and one at Tuskegee University, that will create direct pipelines into HBCUs and promote career success.

Pledges strong action against anti-Semitism, as President Trump has politicized America’s long-standing bipartisan support for Israel and set a divisive tone as incidents of anti-Semitism and hate crimes rise

Speech Coincides with Campaign’s Launch of United for Mike, a Nationwide Effort to Rally Support Among Jewish Americans

MIAMI — During a major address at Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center and Tauber Academy, Democratic presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg discussed his Jewish identity and values and how his heritage will inform his presidency. He also addressed the dangerous rise in anti-Semitic hate crimes in the United States. President Trump has politicized America’s long-standing bipartisan support for Israel and set a divisive tone as incidents of anti-Semitism and hate crimes rise. Mike delivered his remarks as part of the launch of “United for Mike,” a nationwide outreach effort to rally support among Jewish Americans in support of Mike’s commitment to rebuild America and defeat Trump.

“I’ve spent a lot of time in synagogues in my life, but my parents taught me that Judaism is about more than going to shul,” Mike said in his speech. “It’s about living our values – including our obligations to help others, to ‘repair the world’ in the tradition of Tikkun Olam and to revere the miracle that is the state of Israel, which, for their generation, was a dream fulfilled before their very eyes.”

Nachum Segal, host of “JM in the AM,” opened the program. Other speakers included Abigail Pogrebin, National Director for Jewish Outreach for Mike Bloomberg 2020; best-selling author Rabbi Joseph Telushkin; and Patricia Halfen Wexler, co-founder and managing director of Starlight Ventures. Mike was introduced by Phil Levine, former mayor of Miami Beach, FL.

“As the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors and a Venezuelan who witnessed my community disintegrate under Chavismo, I am keenly aware of the importance of having a safe, welcoming, and thriving place to call home,” said Halfen Wexler. “This is why it is crucial – at this time of increasing partisanship – that we vote for a proven leader like Mike Bloomberg who is a pragmatic, compassionate, and reasonable executive who can bring our country together.”

During his remarks, Mike reaffirmed his lifelong support for Israel, including a commitment to provide unconditional military aid to Israel if elected president. He also outlined his policy to stop Iran’s effort to become a nuclear power.

“As president, I will work to make the strongest deal possible to constrain the Iranian regime’s aggression and territorial ambitions, and put an end to their nuclear program, because the world must never allow Iran to threaten Israel and the whole region with a nuclear attack,” Mike said.

Mike also assailed President Trump for politicizing America’s long-standing bipartisan support for Israel and his role in the rising incidents of anti-Semitism and hate crimes.

“When the President calls his supporters ‘real Americans’ – an echo of the language that nativists, anti-Semites, and the KKK used for many decades, – and when he is silent – and even supportive, through his words and tweets, as racist groups spread hate, he undermines our fundamental national values,” Mike said.

Mike said he would take strong action as president to reduce the number of anti-Semitic attacks and hate crimes by labeling them as “domestic terrorism” and charging those responsible. He also pledged to launch a national, coordinated effort led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice to crack down on violent extremist groups. Mike also wants to expand the Department of Education’s and Department of Health and Human Services’ “Stop Bullying Campaign” which was started in 2012 and works to end harassment in schools, including anti-Semitic activity.

Mike has been a longtime champion of Jewish causes in the U.S. and in Israel. He has provided support to UJA and his own synagogue, Temple Emanu-El, as well as Temple Shalom, his hometown synagogue in Medford, Mass. Mike donated to the renovation of the Magen David Adom emergency medical center in Israel in honor of his father and dedicated the pediatric wing of Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem in honor of his mother. In 2019, Bloomberg Philanthropies launched a program to spur innovation in 12 Israeli cities, building on its work in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Be’er Sheva, which started in 2015. In 2014, he was awarded the inaugural Genesis Prize, a $1 million award that annually recognizes an honoree who has attained excellence and international renown, and whose actions and achievements embody the character of the Jewish people through commitment to Jewish values, the Jewish community and/or the State of Israel.

United for Mike is the national coalition of Jewish Americans who are supporting Mike Bloomberg 2020. As part of this outreach, Mike Bloomberg 2020 is announcing today that dozens of Jewish leaders from across the country will help build support for Mike’s candidacy by serving on the United for Mike Leadership Council. U.S. carriers only need a single reactor refueling during their entire 50-year service life.

Oh, Jordan?

Israel is advancing a plan to develop a hospital on its territory to treat Jordanian patients as part of a joint Israeli-Jordanian industrial park along the border of the two countries, the Emek HaMaayanot regional council head tells The Times of Israel.

“One of the ideas is that [the hospital] might be a center for cancer treatment, so that people from Jordan or further away could come and receive treatment,” says Itamar Matiash, who heads the council in northern Israel that will house the Israeli side of the industrial park.

The park, dubbed the “Jordan Gateway,” will enable Israelis and Jordanians to cross between the sides to work on joint projects. An existing bridge, the Jordan River Crossing, already connects the two sides of the proposed Jordan Gateway zone, near the Israeli city of Beit She’an.

As Palestinians and Israelis were trying to work out their relationship, Israel did not cease to prefer a Jordanian option of sorts as a solution for the question of Palestine. So-called moderate Israelis, mostly those of the Labor Party, preferred the Allon Plan, named after the Labor Party minister, Yigal Allon; it called for large swaths of the Jordan Valley to be annexed to Israel while the remaining parts of the West Bank to become part of Jordan. The more right-wing Israeli Likud Party and its allies had an even more sinister plan, namely, to keep all of the West Bank and declare Jordan the Palestinian state.

Despite it being authoritatively debunked by Sheila Ryan and Mohammad Hallaj in 1983,1 the “Jordan is Palestine” idea became—and in some ways continues to be—an existential concern for Jordanians, who fear a potential increase in the number of Palestinians in Jordan. To them, the result would be the de facto elimination of their country to appease Israeli Zionists. Additionally, Ryan and Hallaj argued that this plan places the burden of Palestinian homelessness on Jordan and exonerates Israel.

Oh, those fucking Orthodox Jews First, Money First, too, and USA later: MAHA Activists Urge Trump to Fire His E.P.A. Administrator

As head of the Environmental Protection Agency, Lee Zeldin has weakened protections against toxic chemicals, say members of the MAHA movement.

Last month, the E.P.A. approved the use of two pesticides that meet the internationally recognized definition for “forever chemicals,” which are also known as PFAS and are linked to serious health risks.

In July, the E.P.A. proposed allowing the use of the contentious herbicide dicamba on some cotton and soybean crops. And in May, the agency said it would delay deadlines for water utilities to limit two types of PFAS present in the tap water of millions of Americans.

“If our enemies were to write a plan on how to poison Americans and prevent us from growing our own food, this would be it,” said Zen Honeycutt, the founder and executive director of Moms Across America, a group closely linked to the MAHA movement.

The Jews know how to strangle, man-oh. Water, man, forget Iran taking on ZIM and AZIM and 14 Eyes:

The Karaj dam, which supplies a quarter of the city’s drinking water, is just 8% full.

Water rationing has begun in some areas, with the flow from taps reduced or even stopped altogether overnight.

President Masoud Pezeshkian has urged people to use water sparingly – or the city, or at least parts of it, may even have to evacuate.

Ultra-Low Fertility in China

China’s fertility rate has slipped to one of the lowest in the world, falling to just 1.01 births per woman in 2024, far below the replacement level of 2.1 needed to sustain a stable population. Even a decade of policy reversals, from the end of the one-child rule in 2016 to the introduction of a three-child policy in 2021, has failed to stem the decline. Births briefly ticked up during auspicious Dragon Years, long considered favourable for starting families, but the effect has grown increasingly faint: the 2024 Dragon Year lifted fertility by a mere 0.1.

The gorilla got it right:

The basic idea is that when our human population grows large enough, we will run out of resources, most important of which is food. Have you considered though, that as our population grows, humans themselves will become a food source to other humans?

Of course, our population may be growing too fast for our beliefs about the “sanctity of human life” to change enough to tolerate cannibalism. But what do you think about the possibility? Might we simply become a cannibalistic society and continue on our normal course?

The film Soylent Green, loosely based on Harry Harrison’s novel Make Room! Make Room!, depicts the “basic idea” you describe, but I’m afraid this basic idea is not only oversimplified but highly unlikely.

If our population continues to grow, at some point the biological infrastructure supporting it will collapse, producing widespread and profound environmental changes. If this occurs, the earth will very probably cease to be a habitable place for large mammals (as it once ceased to be a habitable place for dinosaurs), and this includes us; we won’t be able to “continue on our normal course” by eating each other, any more than dinosaurs were able to continue on their normal course by eating each other.

According to a report in the Hebrew-daily Calcalist on Oct. 21, the Spike missile deal is valued at approximately 2 billion euros. The missiles are reportedly intended for German infantry and armored infantry units, replacing older systems and filling capability gaps exposed by the war in Ukraine.

The deal will be implemented through EuroSpike, a joint venture owned by Rafael and German defense firms Rheinmetall and Diehl Defense.

This procurement is the latest in a series of major purchases of Israeli arms by European nations, who are in a race to rebuild their own defense industrial bases and build capabilities, as they also continue to supply Ukraine with arms.

The shelter in Tijuana set up to welcome deported Mexican migrants from the U.S. has seen 12,000 people arrive at the facility through the end of November.

María José Juárez Becerra, director of Baja California’s Migrant Affairs Office, said all the migrants who have been brought to the shelter violated terms of their visas in the U.S., or were arrested in ICE raids or detained during the asylum process.

“And we’re seeing cases where people are voluntarily returning to Mexico like a tourist would normally come back,” she said. “We’re also seeing men being deported who have families remain in the United States, and we’ve seen entire families who decided to come back together.”

A man pardoned by President Donald Trump for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol returned to Washington in recent days and has been wandering the neighborhood of Democratic Rep. U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols, who convicted Taylor Taranto at a bench trial this year for a threat to federal buildings and for bringing weapons to President Barack Obama’s D.C. neighborhood, did not immediately order him back to prison, but said he would weigh the request over the next few weeks.

Uniformed Mercenaries! Double or Triple Taps?

Jews in the wing.

The phrase “triple tap on world kitchen in Israel” refers to the April 1, 2024, incident where Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) strikes killed seven World Central Kitchen (WCK) aid workers in Gaza. The term “triple tap” refers to the multiple, consecutive missile strikes that hit the three-car convoy.

Key details of the incident:

  • The Attack An IDF drone launched three separate missiles at the WCK convoy vehicles, which were clearly marked with the WCK logo and traveling in a de-conflicted zone along a route coordinated with the IDF.
  • The Victims Seven aid workers were killed: Saifeddin Issam Ayad Abutaha (Palestinian), John Chapman, James Henderson, and James Kirby (UK citizens), Zomi Frankcom (Australian citizen), Damian Soból (Polish citizen), and Jacob Flickinger (US-Canadian dual citizen).
  • Responses The IDF called the event a “grave mistake” and a “tragic event” that was not intended to harm non-combatants, while WCK founder Chef José Andrés and other external investigations claimed the convoy was systematically targeted.
  • Aftermath The incident sparked global outrage, and the WCK suspended its operations in Gaza for a period. The IDF dismissed two officers and reprimanded three others following its internal investigation.

“Israel’s commitment to liberalism has always been shaky. As a Jewish state, it fosters a form of ethnic nationalism rather than a civic one.” That argument flows easily into this policy advice: “A better U.S. policy would advocate for equality, citizenship, and human rights for all Jews and Palestinians living within the single state dominated by Israel.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s return to power in Israel with a narrow, extreme right-wing coalition has shattered even the illusion of a two-state solution. Members of his new government have not been shy about stating their views on what Israel is and what it should be in all the territories it controls: a Greater Israel defined not just as a Jewish state but one in which the law enshrines Jewish supremacy over all Palestinians who remain there. As a result, it is no longer possible to avoid confronting a one-state reality.

I found out that a dirty community college which I do not work for, and then an arts council, for which I have not connection, conspired to bulldoze my first amendment rights into the ground

Dec 04, 2025

Listen to my interview of two men, Kelly and Kevin, on my show, Finding Fringe: Voices from the Edge on a local radio station (will air Dec. 10) for which I am almost certainly about to be deep-sixed out/off the air since good Little Germans and Little Eichmann’s are part and parcel tied to the Democratic Party backers. And arts councils are usually Genocide Joe & Holocaust Harris backers!

It was KKK level stuff, since my name is also Kirk and Kevin is Kevin and Kelly is Kelly, then it’s an hour of KKK, now is that hate speech?

Well, not that KKK: State representative!

So the people who went to the venue today were told I was cancelled because of something I wrote, and then something about hate speech on Facebook? I have a non-public FB page, plus Fucker-Berg and Meta cancel so called hate speech.

Calling Jews Nazis?

Is that it? Hate? Speech?

Jews are worse than Hitler’s German Nazis? Jews in Israel then, they’re the Nazis? Jews supporting Israel, okay then they too are Nazis? Jews supporting genocide, is that Nazi enough? Those Jews in the Jewish State of Israel carrying out the genocide, okay, just the soldiers and the generals, they’re Nazis? Which category of rhetorical Nazi is hate speech?

And how many fucking Christians and Jews alike do this thought experiment: “If I was young and in Nazi Germany with the rise of Hitler, and if I had a few cohorts, hell, I would have assassinated Hitler and his top henchmen?”

Machetes to all Jews’ necks, err, that is, Jews who support genocide? Or am I limited to only the IOF soldiers bombing schools and hospitals and targeting journalists and doctors? They deserve machetes? Is it Hate SPEECH?

It’s a fucking Substack, folks, a thought experiment writ large, voluntary subscribers, sometimes getting into my rants blended with auto-fiction, blended with polemics and hyperbole and reality therapy and goddamn catharsis, but HATE SPEECH?

All mother fuckers making money from and working for Elbit, do they deserve machetes to the neck? HATE SPEECH? Hmm, how about . . . these fucking Jewish Terrorists of the Tech and Gestapo and Stasi kind? For instance . . .

Following this early financing from investors close to Israel’s intelligence establishment, the company went on to receive hundreds of millions in investment from a network of US venture capital firms with intelligence links to Israel.

These include Palo Alto-based Accel Partners, which has invested in more than thirty Israeli tech companies, including another Unit 8200 cyber spin-out, OasisNir Blumberger, an Israeli who served in the IDF, was recruited by Accel from Facebook to open its Tel Aviv office in 2016.

Other Axonius backers include San Francisco-headquartered Bessemer Venture Partners which employs former Israeli intelligence operatives in a Tel Aviv office led by Adam Fisher. An American who emigrated to Israel in 1998, Fisher has acted as an intermediary between Zionists in Silicon Valley and the IDF, and during the genocide gave a presentation on how Israel can win the online war. Israeli Amit Karp, a partner at Bessemer Ventures and another former Israeli intelligence officer, sits on the Axonius board.

Menlo Park-based Lightspeed Venture Partners, which has backed Axonius with around $200 million over numerous funding rounds, also has significant ties to Israeli spy units. Yonit Wiseman, a partner at Lightspeed, spent six years in Israeli military intelligence, leaving in 2018. Her colleague, Tal Morgenstern, was a special forces commander in the IDF.

Given the evidence that Axonius is an Israeli intelligence cut-out, the scale of its penetration within the US federal government structure is extraordinary.

The company says its platform is ‘deployed in more than 70 federal organizations’ and is used by four of the five major US Department of Defense service agencies. The US federal government contract award website shows Axonius awards for the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, which in itself means millions of personnel and their devices.

In November 2024, the company was selected by the Department of Homeland Security to modernize its cybersecurity abilities by centralizing ‘data coming from hundreds of separate data sources residing across dozens of federal, civilian, and executive branch agencies.’ Just a month later, in December 2024, the company was contracted by the Department of Defense to upgrade its system of 24/7 surveillance which oversees all on-site and off-site DoD computers and IT networks, a capability known as ‘continuous monitoring and risk scoring.’ And in April this year Axonius obtained authorization for any US federal agency to use its cloud-based cyber surveillance system.

Other federal departments integrating Axonius software include energy, transportation, the US Treasury and many others. Data from the US spending awards site shows the US Defense Logistics Agency, responsible for managing America’s global weapons supply chain, is the single largest Axonius customer, spending $4.3 million in 2023 alone. The Department of Agriculture has paid nearly $2 million for Axonius tools and the Department of Health and Human Services has spent $1.3 million since 2021.

Yes, that is correct. “Hate speech” is not a category of speech recognized under current constitutional law. It is merely a convenient way to pigeonhole speech that some people find offensive. But what is very troubling is when people begin to treat “hate speech” as unprotected speech. For example, a student leader at Penn State, a university which was recently sued for its unconstitutionally vague and overbroad speech codes, made the following comment featured in a prominent article in the student newspaper The Daily Collegian:

“We support any and all university policies that prohibit intolerant actions against any student on this campus,” said Watson, adding that hate speech was not protected by the constitution. [Emphasis added.]

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that a statement like this has been made. This belief has become somewhat pervasive, especially on college campuses, making it high time to put this fundamentally false and dangerous belief to rest.

There is no constitutional exception for so-called hate speech. The First Amendment fully protects speech that some may find offensive, unpopular, or even racist. The First Amendment allows you to wear a jacket that says “Fuck the Draft” in a public building (see Cohen v. California, 403 U.S. 15), yell “We’ll take the fucking street later!” during a protest (see Hess v. Indiana, 414 U.S. 105), burn the American flag in protest (Texas v. Johnson, 491 U.S. 397 and United States v. Eichman, 496 U.S. 310), and even give a racially charged speech to a restless crowd (see Terminello v. Chicago, 337 U.S. 1). You can even, consistent with the First Amendment, call for the overthrow of the United States government (see Brandenburg v. Ohio, 395 U.S. 444). This is not a recent development in constitutional law—these cases date back to 1949.<

The U.S. Supreme Court stated the general rule regarding protected speech quite well in Texas v. Johnson, when it held:

The government may not prohibit the verbal or nonverbal expression of an idea merely because society finds the idea offensive or disagreeable.

Federal courts have consistently followed this holding when applying the First Amendment to public universities. While invalidating sanctions placed on a fraternity for holding an “ugly woman contest,” a federal district court in Iota Xi Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity v. George Mason University, 993 F.2d 386, held:

The First Amendment does not recognize exceptions for bigotry, racism, and religious intolerance or ideas or matters some may deem trivial, vulgar or profane.

Furthermore, federal courts have consistently used this concept in striking down college speech codes that regulate offensive or unpopular language (for examples, see Doe v. University of Michigan, 721 F. Supp. 852, UWM Post, Inc., v. Board of Regents of University of Wisc., 774 F. Supp. 1163, and Bair v. Shippensburg Univ., 280 F. Supp. 2d 357). The law is so consistent that not one college speech code challenged in federal court has ever been left standing.

As you can see, it is settled law that public universities, in order to be consistent with the First Amendment, cannot regulate or suppress speech based upon its content, even when it is offensive, vulgar, profane, or unpopular. A university, especially one run with our tax dollars, should be a marketplace of ideas where open and vigorous discourse is encouraged and not suppressed by crafty speech codes and the threat of disciplinary sanctions.

The big problem for proponents of hate-speech laws and codes is that they can never explain where to draw a stable and consistent line between hate speech and vigorous criticism, or who exactly can be trusted to draw it. The reason is that there is no such line. — Jonathan Rauch, “A new argument for hate-speech laws? Um … no,” The Washington Post (Feb. 4, 2014).

My first slide:

Another part of my master class:

Hasbara = Stringing carefully selected and sanitized words together then produces a narrative and framing that “makes sense” to people. It becomes clear what is good and bad, who is good and bad, who we should (of course) support and who we should (of course) oppose, despise, reject, even eradicate. Nothing more has to be said. Anything we hear or read fits neatly into it.

•In Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, the state-controlled drug soma did not just induce feelings of relaxation and happiness; it helped the user forget. Israeli escapism works similarly; it recognizes that pleasure is inherently political.

•Israel’s own diplomats admitted as much, too. “We see culture as a propaganda tool of the first rank, and I do not differentiate between propaganda and culture,” said Nissim Ben-Shitrit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2005. Three years later, another Israeli diplomat, Ido Aharoni, put it more bluntly: “It is more important for Israel to be attractive than to be right.”

The olden days: Detail from The Fin de Siècle Newspaper Proprietor, an illustration featured in an 1894 issue of Puck magazine. Amid the flurry of eager paper-clutching public, one holds a publication brandished with the words “Fake News”.

More stuff from the class: “Challenging Israeli ‘Hasbara’ and ‘Conventional Wisdom’ on Palestine: An Anti-Colonial Reframing”

Israel’s success in “selling” its wars and oppressive colonial practices lies in its ability to condense its political position into one succinct sentence. “Israel,” the hasbara/PR line goes, “is a small, democratic, Western [subtext: white] country besieged by Arab/Muslim [subtext: dark, irrational] terrorism.” That hits about every buzz-word possible, buzz-words being terms that carry a large load of self-evident understandings, emotions and associations that do not require explanation. Recently, for example, The Intercept, an American left-wing news organization, revealed a memo from The New York Times that

instructs its journalists to avoid using the terms “genocide,” “ethnic cleansing” and “refugee camps” when writing about Palestine. It directs them to steer clear of referring to areas of Palestine as “occupied territory” — and, even further, discourages referring to Palestine as “Palestine” whatsoever. In addition, the memo claims that words like “slaughter,” “massacre” and “carnage” are often too emotional to describe Israel’s bombardment of Gaza.

Ahh, moving along as I pull apart my PowerPoint presentation:

According to Starmer, the machine “makes us more human.” These were the exact words he uttered in reference to AI back in June at the Tech Week conference in London. Starmer is a true evangelist for AI. In January when rolling out the UK’s ‘AI strategy’ he said (and again this sounds almost too cartoonishly villainous to be true, but it is) that his government was going to “mainline AI into the veins of the UK.”

Shit, eyes and mouth taped, AmeriKKKa:

Well, since ICE is coming to Newport, a little reality here:

You do not need to be undocumented to land on ICE’s radar anymore. You just need to know someone who is. Or post something they do not like. Or even just open a text message. Maybe you just so happened to pass through a place where their network of systems are set in place. That could be a protest, a courthouse, or even at a traffic stop.

It’s not all anti-American: We are now in a death loop in which the BBC becomes ever more craven to the billionaires, thereby shifting the political centre of gravity ever further rightwards. Much of the British public have been convinced by the billionaire-owned media that the BBC is actually “leftwing”. And as a result, the right grows ever more confident in advancing the billionaires’ self-interested agenda, knowing there will be no pushback.

WHY? The media directed the so-called protests: Marches did occur in the United States — but not for Palestine. Instead, protests were staged around the nebulous theme of “No Kings,” a reference to the imperious actions of the Trump administration. There were no demands addressing the fact that Congress — not just Trump — remains the main enabler of Israel’s genocide, having provided over $22 billion in arms since the assault on Gaza began on October 8, 2023.

There was no unified call to halt ICE operations and its Gestapo-like raids that terrorize immigrant communities. There was no unified demand to end illegal deportations or support immigrants’ rights.

Just how things are spun, is that now HATE SPEECH vis a vis New York Times, err, Jew York Times?

•Trinidadian villagers said that the two corpses that washed ashore had burned marks on their faces, making them unrecognizable, and that they were missing limbs, as if they had been blown up. Rather than acknowledging these deaths as likely victims of US terrorism, the New York Times, which first reported the story, described the bodies’ mutilated appearance as a “mystery.”

•The victims of recent US bombings hail from Venezuela, Colombia and Trinidad and Tobago, all territories with a centuries-long legacy of Indigenous and African anti-colonial resistance. Fishing communities have reported friends and relatives missing in the past three months, believing US forces likely bombed them. The Trump administration claims the boats were trafficking narcotics, but it has never presented any supporting evidence.

So, the Spanish American war was fomented and created on Hearst and Puitzer’s watch, false flag, and now, the same with the murder about to be committed on Venezuela.

The term “yellow journalism” began as a reference to Richard F. Outcault’s “Yellow Kid” cartoon. Because it was published in both The World and the New York Journal, “yellow kid journalism” or “yellow journalism” was a way to refer to the sensationalism that they were both known for. The Scranton Tribune questioned if “the American people really do read such trash in newspaper guise as is produced by Hearst, Pulitzer and the other members of the yellow-kid guild.”

The “Spanish-American War” Was Based on a Bloody Lie

When the Maine sank, “conspiracy theorists” throughout the United States argued that there was no proof Spain had done the deed. Most ships at the time were powered by coal. Dust explosions inside their hulls were not uncommon. Prompted in part by such disasters, Winston Churchill in 1911 began converting the British fleet to oil.

But itching for a fight, and lusting for empire, Theodore Roosevelt would hear none of it. He quit his government post and convened a rag-tag volunteer army of “Rough Riders” who invaded the island. “I killed a Spaniard with my own hands,” TR later screeched. “Look at those damn Spanish dead.”

Untold indigenous died in the “freeing” of Cuba…not to mention Puerto Rico, Guam and the Philippines. The war in the Philippines dragged on until 1904, where we crushed an indigenous resistance that had previously been fighting the Spanish. The death toll there was well in excess of 3,000. Anti-imperialists like Mark Twain and a wide range of Socialists, intellectuals and activists bitterly opposed the war.

But firm in his belief that the US had a divine mission to conquer “inferior races” in the building of a global empire, the Spanish War became a springboard for Theodore Roosevelt’s imperial career. He became president in 1901 when McKinley was assassinated. In 1906 he sent a “Great White Fleet” around the globe to proclaim the new American hegemony. He became a firm advocate for the disastrous US entry into World War I—until his youngest son Quentin was killed flying a fighter plane.

Thus, following the conquest of Hawaii, the Spanish War became the springboard of America’s global empire.

And it was based on an outright lie, in which the “conspiracy theory” that Spain had NOT sunk the Maine was proven beyond doubt. (source)

Ahh, and Oct. 7? Is this fucking hate speech? October 7 ‘rape claims’ debunked as Israeli propaganda unravels

The New York Times columnist and Pulitzer Prize winner Bret Stephens will speak at SMU on “Why You Should Want Israel to Win.” Join us for a powerful and thought-provoking evening as he makes the case for why you should want Israel to defeat Hamas — not just for its own sake, but in the interests of a lasting peace.

In an era of misinformation, Stephens challenges us to confront uncomfortable truths and ask the deeper questions]

More, now? New York Times columnist Bret Stephens again made the case for the Trump administration to overthrow Venezuela’s authoritarian President Nicolas Maduro, laying out six different reasons to support his case.

In a new column, Stephens argued there is a “vital American interest at stake,” that Trump rejected a “quasi-colonialist” bargain to get a large chunk of Venezuela’s mineral and energy wealth, and that there is a moral case for regime change. He also argued this case is different than Iraq or Libya’s to minimize the chances of an operation turning into “another fiasco,” and that the risk of inaction is larger than moving forward.

Is this HATE SPEECH or just nuanced detailed reporting: “Bret Stephens is Jewish and was raised in Mexico City, describing his identity as a Jewish-American with a “hyphenated” identity that he finds to be a source of richness. His Jewish background has influenced his life and career, including his time working at The Jerusalem Post.”

Example of Geofencing and False Info . . . Israeli public relations officials considered developing a “geofencing campaign” alongside an evangelical consulting company called “Show Faith by Works,” according to reporting from Haaretz.

The project would map every major church and Christian college in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Colorado, track worshippers’ mobile devices during services, and later target them with ads portraying Palestinians as terrorists and Hamas sympathizers. Filings describe it as “the largest geofencing campaign in U.S. history,” seeking to reach 8 million churchgoers and 4 million Christian students.

Ahh, I will never just REST my case. This cancelling and intolerance of my ideas and fucking with my free speech has been going on, yep, since I was fucking 13 years old. And has never ever stopped.

Don't lose hope in Africa, you've opportunity to re-unite Africa – H E Arikana Chihombori-Quao to African Youth | University of Cape Coast

H.E. Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao is the African Union Ambassador to the United States of America since December 1, 2016. She was nominated by HE Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, to lead the African Union Mission to the USA, the first bilateral diplomatic Mission opened by the AU in 2007.

As the African Union Ambassador to the U.S., Dr. Chihombori-Quao is fully committed to reinforcing the longstanding and deep historic, cultural and economic relations between Africa and the U.S. She plays a key role in reinforcing the African Union strategic partnerships with the United States, grounded on shared values and mutual interests. Ambassador Chihombori-Quao is a strong believer in the promise that the African Union-U.S. partnership holds and that a prosperous, peaceful and integrated Africa is a shared strategic interest.

Prior to her appointment, Ambassador Arikana Chihombori-Quao was a renowned family medicine doctor in Murfreesboro, Tennessee where she has been practicing medicine for the last 25 years. Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao is known internationally for her diligent efforts to improve healthcare systems, particularly in countries in Africa, and to promote women’s rights around the globe. Nearly 20 years ago, at a conference organized by then-Africa Resources, Presidents Nelson Mandela and Robert Muugabe presented the noted philanthropist with an Achievement Award. This was her first major distinction which she highly appreciates and cherishes.

In September 2013, Dr. Chihombori-Quao was one of four women who represented Africa at the International Conference on Women’s Rights, hosted by the Government of Argentina in Mar Del Plata, Argentina. She delivered a moving speech on the topic, “Violence against Women and its Worldwide Effect.” At this conference, Dr. Chihombori shared the stage with two Nobel Peace Prize winners: Rigoberto Menchu of Guatemala and Alfonso Perez Esquivel of Argentina.

Ambassador Chihombori-Quao has also been actively involved in various programs and projects of the African Union. Since 2012, she was the Chair of the African Union-African Diaspora Health Initiative (AU-ADHI) where she was involved in mobilizing the African Diaspora health professionals to assist in addressing the healthcare crisis on the continent of Africa.

In 2015 at the 25th AU Summit held in Johannesburg, South Africa, Dr. Chihombori-Quao was one of the fifteen women who received the “Women of Excellence Award” alongside President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, Mrs. Joyce Banda, former President of Malawi, and Mrs. Winnie Mandela, the former first lady of South Africa, as well as several other prominent and remarkable African women.

It is worth indicating that upon graduating from medical school in 1986, Ambassador Dr. Chihombori-Quao did three years General Surgery at State University of New York in Brooklyn, NY, USA, and another residency in Family Medicine at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians and Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians.

The African Union must adhere to the principles of Competitiveness within the Union. Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao must be allowed to contest in the AU leadership election as long as she is willing and qualified to do so. Africans will no longer be on the sideline while the most qualified individuals are barred from positive contribution to uplifting the continent by those that are least capable, least qualified, and least visionary.

“The 55 African heads of states understand very clearly that in order for Africa to take its rightful place on the world stage; in order of sustainable development to come to Africa, the African Diaspora must be front and center of that conversation, “ affirmed then African Union President Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao in an African Union investment brochure. In a recent Farewell & Appreciation Town Hall Meeting, the newly ousted Chihombori-Quao affirmed her vision for Africa and the African Diaspora.

“I did not come here for a job,” proclaimed the admirer of Pan-Africanist Kwame Nkrumah about her move from her medical practice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to Washington, DC to serve as the African Union’s ambassador to the United States. “It’s a calling.” However, with almost three years on the job, the African Union abruptly dismissed her.

“I’m a very impatient Black woman,” said the Historically Black Fisk University and Meharry College graduate during her farewell talk at Montgomery County’s Blair High School that centered on making Africa a powerhouse. She also talked about current polices of the former European colonizers and how they are a continuation of the 1865 Berlin conference, a more moderate view of LGBQT+ rights, the inclusion of the Diaspora in Africa’s struggles, and the power of women.

Even at Europeans carved up Africa at a table during the Berlin Conference instead of warring amongst themselves and later declaring them independent, the mother of five believes that Europeans are still colonizing Africa through many arrangements. She remains outspoken about a colonial tax on Africa that nets France about $500 billion each year. “It goes back to the Berlin Conference,” she said, “our continent is still under siege.” “How long are we going to say ouch, before I punch you in the goddamn face?” she asked.

She went on to acknowledge that same gender loving people are nothing new to Africa as she recalled growing up with “spinsters” who never got married, but lived with other women. “It wasn’t an issue,” she proclaimed. While she opposes outsiders defining African culture, behavior, and norms on sexuality, she said of same gender loving people, “let them be, let them be.”

Her plea for a more independent and progressive Africa calls for the inclusion of the African Diaspora. “We must go home,” she said as she told the story of a traditional African woman who marries and moves to her husband’s village where she is expected to wait on others. Then, the newlywed runs through the village naked to draw attention to her plight. Chihombori-Quao then turned to her UN fight with France and said, “Do you want to arrest 500 naked Black women?” to much laughter and a thunderous applause.

Many have suspected that it was her outspokenness that led to the African Union to dismiss her. However, the African Union refutes that. “This is normal diplomatic practice for political appointees everywhere,” said Ebba Kalondo, spokesperson to the Chairperson of the African Union Commission.

Chihombori-Quao then turned to her UN fight with France and said, “Do you want to arrest 500 naked Black women?” to much laughter and a thunderous applause.

As Benin President Patrice Talon announced that foreign reserves of the West African CFA – currency used by eight countries in the region – were to be withdrawn from France, Chihombori-Quao admonished, “Let’s keep our eyes on France.” She continued to rally, “France, keep your hands off Benin! Colonizers must get out of Africa!”

AfricaNews reports that some experts stressed that current foreign reserves arrangements with France keep African countries dependent on the European monetary policy, a situation others routinely labeled “neo-colonialism. ”In interviews with French broadcasters RFI and France 24, Talon reportedly said the current model was more of a “psychological problem” than “technical.”

Whether the breaking of this or other unbiblical cords are technical or not, Chihombori-Quao is not planning to go anywhere. She says her next move it to take France to the United Nations.

Discussion about this episode

I’ve been here before: terminated from jobs, stopped from writing things, ghosted and gas-lit, banned from teaching at a college or two and even sanctioned at a K12 district, but it still stinks!

Calling a public official, a dirty politician, no less (that’s what many of us call politicians), a piece of shit? That’s it, no? Bye bye discourse. David Gomberg, Jew.

CANCELLED by the event sponsors and board.

Discussion: Hear Here - Love and Death in a Time of Media Illiteracy with Paul Haeder - Oregon Coast Council for the Arts

They (OCCA) are scrubbing all evidence that the Oregon Coast Center for the Arts ever invited me to speak/give a master class. Ahh, two days before I was going to give a short, intense master class, cancelled.

Read the flyer above that is all over the county, pinned up here and there.

Here, my letter to the board:

Dec. 2, 2025

RE: Censoring my talk at the Newport Performing Arts building as part of the Hear Here series

TO: Oregon Coast Council on the Arts; David Gomberg, Editor of the Leader

What a sham, really, as I received a call today, Dec. 2, two days before my scheduled talk, around media and news literacy, at the PAC.

Wayne Caputo called me from an airport around noon, and alas, he was the one who basically convinced me to do a talk, and he approved of the theme and subject matter.

He told me that “the board” decided to cancel my presentation “based on things you’ve written.” I pressed him further, and he stated that “some board members were upset with the comments I made in a Commentary in the Leader tied to David Gomberg’s trip to Israel.”

Then he stated something about OCCA’s stated values and mission which they/he said I do not represent.

Censorship, that is for sure, a value I do not stand for. Denying the community OCCA is supposedly in favor of supporting through this discussion/master class on journalism, digital media and the death of critical thinking? Not a value I ascribe.

Again, stopping a preplanned event, 48 hours before, that is a sign of small minds, odd pressure from one or several board members, and outright blatant censorship.

Lack of critical thinking and holding to unfair rules of debate? OCCA’s values, that’s for sure. Having a member of the community publicize the event for the greater community to attend and then reneging on that discussion is antithetical to free speech and educational honesty. Again, OCCA is quite a culprit in this regard.

I am not going to go over just all the issues your censorship covers. The unprofessional manner of contacting me so late in the game, well, that goes without explaining. My reputation being sullied by this? Hmm, what lies have you conjured up as to why the “Hear Here” talk for Dec. 4 has been cancelled. I see you scrubbed my talk from your website. Such efficient censors you all are!

Caputo, Eastman, Richardson, Gardner, Jones, Madnick, Burke, Klose, Shreiber, Llumiquinga Perez, Ledonne, Sinnamon, Pridgeon, Chadwick – what small minded, cloistered and strange people you are, involved in The Arts, no less.

It doesn’t take long to wash the stink away from my mouth after hearing about and cogitating around this cancellation. Yes, censorship. Podunk Newport, sure, but the land under Trump and before, Biden, well, well, what censorious fools both parties represent. You are welcomed into both camps, I am sure.

Just two months ago, Chris Hedges, a well-known journalist, who is listed in my PowerPoint talk, just faced the same sort of little Gestapo treatment in Australia:

Hedges’s scheduled address to the National Press Club of Australia was canceled. The speech, titled “The Betrayal of Palestinian Journalists,” was intended to discuss the high number of journalists killed by Israel in Gaza and the media’s pro-Israel bias. The cancellation drew significant criticism, with Hedges and others stating it was due to pressure from the club’s sponsors, some of whom are embedded in the Israeli war machine. Hedges later delivered the full, uncensored speech online.

Oh, the list of how badly Americans of both parties treat truthtellers and so-called outside the mainstream news reporters, well well, it can fill books. Project Censored was also part and parcel included in my presentation. Your little action fits that great nonprofit’s work around just how badly Americans treat writers, thinkers and the Press.

What a failure of leadership and vision AND values to quash discussion. This talk is/was about media and the press and how quickly people in the West have been propagandized to the hilt, causing a mass collective misunderstanding of history, breaking news, contexts around news events, and just plain denuding of basic clear thinking.

You failed your own mission and soiled the value of debate, discourse and discussion on a super valuable and relevant topic for a small community, Newport. To add to this infamy, a few comments in the local newspaper attributed to me involving a public figure, a politician, no less, as being another basis for cancellation is both infantile and retrograde.

How dare you, Caputo, Eastman, Richardson, Gardner, Jones, Madnick, Burke, Klose, Shreiber, Llumiquinga Perez, Ledonne, Sinnamon, Pridgeon, Chadwick, that you individually and collectively even breathe a word about values. What a disgrace you are associating yourselves with “the arts,” an even more troubling reality surrounding your pedestrian and sad Board.

Shame on you.

Sen. Ron Wyden has received nearly $1.3 MILLION in support from pro-Israel interest groups. #ORSEN #RejectAIPAC

Was it this?

“But make no mistake about it – the US, Britain and Germany are the major weapons suppliers to Israel. However, there are literally tens of billions of dollars going back and forth from and to that genocidal state.

Sort of like the good old days when Hitler and his regime had that back and forth commerce, with, hmm: German and international corporations like IG Farben, Ford, General Motors (GM), IBM, and Standard Oil. There were hundreds of smaller companies.

We have now in Lincoln County, thousands losing their Medicare Advantage plans through Samaritan Health. And what are the democrats up against the republican reprobates doing?

Well, we have two senators, one who is Israel-First and who puts his Jewish background above America, for sure, in many people’s minds: The genocide campaign has killed more than 350,000 Palestinians, almost all civilians, and left the rest of the population of Gaza in plots of land that make concentration camps look livable.

Sen. Jeff Merkley co-sponsored six bills in September 2024 to halt a $20 billion U.S. arms sale to Israel. Some of it: $675 million worth of bombs and a shipment of 20,000 assault rifles to Israel.

“We have a profound moral responsibility to end this collective punishment of innocent civilians,” Merkley said in a statement, adding that until the Israeli government makes critical international food and medical aid available to Palestinians in Gaza, the U.S. should not send any more weapons.

Yet, the other senator, Ron Wyden, voted with all Republicans against stopping the military killing materiel to Israel.

Even non-Jewish Merkley drops caveats in his statement: “Every moment the U.S. fails to demand a massive influx of food or to provide that massive influx of food ourselves, we are complicit in Netanyahu’s strategy of starving Palestinians. This breaks every moral code and every religious code. Until every child and every mother have sufficient nutrition, America should not send a single dollar or a single bomb to Netanyahu’s government. No more bombs. More aid.”

Some of us journalists go way back (since 1973) and we’ve even studied rhetoric and propaganda and taught college communications (since 1983).

Let it be known: Israel has been practicing genocide since 1948, and has been an apartheid state the same number of years. “Mowing of the lawn” was a practice Israel used to murder peaceful protestors and medical workers going to the aid of wounded protestors. Before Oct 2023.

This is not one man’s or one Israeli government’s genocide. Most Israeli Jews want Palestinians gone. Troubling, also, is these Americans supporting Israel with any sort of financial and military and non-military aid are complicit.

Just a month ago the world’s largest association of academic scholars studying genocide passed a resolution saying Israel’s “policies and actions” in Gaza “meet the legal definition of genocide,” established by the U.N. in 1948.

The International Association of Genocide Scholars states that Israel’s “policies and actions” in Gaza amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Aiding and abetting war crimes is a crime. The crime of genocide.

This society is broken, and has been way before Ronald Reagan, for sure, but like exponential growth of a bacteria left to grow, each year there are more deaths by 1,000 cuts to social, health, education, economic, spiritual social safety nets.

Throwing money at the MIC – Military Industrial Complex – for seventy years, and throwing money at Israel for 77 years has done its work by lining the pockets of CEOs, bankers, billionaires in finance, and now the techno fascists. Names like Ellison, Altman, Ackman, Karp, Zuckerberg, Adelson, Brin may not be on readers’ tongues, but beware of these new titans of pain.

Former CIA analyst and now activist, Ray McGovern calls that military machine the MICIMATT: Military-Industrial-Congressional-Intelligence- Media-Academia-Think-Tank Complex.

In reality, a society that has outrageous costly and failing medical care for all, let alone seniors, is a society that has been bought and sold down the river. For profit medicine? For profit electricity? Telecommunications? Hell, we can’t even run our own county’s school busses anymore without paying a for-profit outfit to transport our kiddos – Student First, owned by EQT Infrastructure, a Swedish private equity firm.

If you were to take one of my critical thinking writing courses from a few years ago, you’d be flummoxed with these sorts of stories. You’d be exposed to censored stories and memory-holed history. You would have learned about amazing facts which have been held back from the average American citizen.”

Were these the offending words in a commentary I wrote?

“….I remember telling my daughter, who never got to meet my old man, her grandfather, that I was diametrically opposed to his 32 years in the US military. I told her that I even ended up in Vietnam two years before she was born to work with a science team from England.

I visited all parts of Viet Nam, after doing intensive biodiversity studies along the Laotian border.

She has some of my large prints of kiddos on motorcycles piled high with live chickens. She has a photo I took of a female Buddhist monk near where a more famous monk self-immolated in protest of the US and French backed repressive South Vietnamese president.

That is Ho Chi Minh City, called Saigon back then.

It was just before 10 in the morning on June 11, 1963, when 300 monks and nuns marched down a busy Saigon street. This 73-year-old monk named Thich Quang Duc emerged from a car at this crowded intersection and sat down in the lotus position on a cushion. Two fellow monks poured gasoline from a five-gallon can. As the fuel was emptied over his head, Duc chanted, “Nam mo amita Buddha,” — “return to eternal Buddha.”

Sixty years later a similar event was repeated here in the USA, although in this intentionally amnesiac and superficial society, it seems like a distant memory. But my friend from Wisconsin talks of this hero much.

That distant memory occurred just over a year ago—February 25, 2024. Remember? Twenty-five-old Air Force serviceman Aaron Bushnell died after setting himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington in an act of protest against the Gaza genocide.

Less than two years ago, and I have students who are afraid of calling “it” a genocide. I have fellow faculty in many parts of the country who are not just chastised for supporting innocent Palestinians but are fired.

Is this newspaper going to get the “hammer” or “ax” for republishing Aaron’s words before he set himself on fire?

“I am an active-duty member of the United States Air Force. And I will no longer be complicit in genocide. I am about to engage in an extreme act of protest. But compared to what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonizers—it’s not extreme at all. This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal.”

The last words of his life were ‘Free Palestine.’”

In good company, Chris Hedges, who I don’t always agree with, but words, man, discussion. In October 2025 (future date in search results, likely recent/current event), Hedges’s scheduled address to the National Press Club of Australia was canceled. War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning - Wikipedia

Text of the Rockford College graduation speech by Chris Hedges, author of the book, War Is a Force That Gives us Meaning)

First published on Wednesday, May 21, 2003 by Rockford Register Star (Illinois), http://www.rrstar.com/

I want to speak to you today about war and empire. Killing, or at least the worst of it, is over in Iraq. Although blood will continue to spill—theirs and ours—be prepared for this. For we are embarking on an occupation that, if history is any guide, will be as damaging to our souls as it will be to our prestige, power, and security. But this will come later as our empire expands and in all this we become pariahs, tyrants to others weaker than ourselves.

Malcolm, Martin and Mahatma united in global protest, February 15, 2003 —photo Tanbou

Isolation always impairs judgment and we are very isolated now. We have forfeited the good will, the empathy the world felt for us after 9-11. We have folded in on ourselves, we have severely weakened the delicate international coalitions and alliances that are vital in maintaining and promoting peace and we are part now of a dubious troika in the war against terror with Vladimir Putin and Ariel Sharon, two leaders who do not shrink in Palestine or Chechnya from carrying out acts of gratuitous and senseless acts of violence. We have become the company we keep. The censure and perhaps the rage of much of the world, certainly one-fifth of the world’s population which is Muslim, most of whom I’ll remind you are not Arab, is upon us. Look today at the 14 people killed last night in several explosions in Casablanca. And this rage in a world where almost 50% of the planet struggles on less than two dollars a day will see us targeted. Terrorism will become a way of life, and when we are attacked we will, like our allies Putin and Sharon, lash out with greater fury. The circle of violence is a death spiral; no one escapes. We are spinning at a speed that we may not be able to hold. As we revel in our military prowess—the sophistication of our military hardware and technology, for this is what most of the press coverage consisted of in Iraq—we lose sight of the fact that just because we have the capacity to wage war it does not give us the right to wage war. This capacity has doomed empires in the past. “Modern western civilization may perish,” the theologian Reinhold Niebuhr warned, “because it falsely worshiped technology as a final good.” The real injustices, the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land, the brutal and corrupt dictatorships we fund in the Middle East, will mean that we will not rid the extremists who hate us with bombs.

Indeed we will swell their ranks. Once you master people by force you depend on force for control. In your isolation you begin to make mistakes. Fear engenders cruelty; cruelty, fear, insanity, and then paralysis. In the center of Dante’s circle the damned remained motionless. We have blundered into a nation we know little about and are caught between bitter rivalries and competing ethnic groups and leaders we do not understand. We are trying to transplant a modern system of politics invented in Europe characterized, among other things, by the division of earth into independent secular states based on national citizenship in a land where the belief in a secular civil government is an alien creed. Iraq was a cesspool for the British when they occupied it in 1917; it will be a cesspool for us as well. The curfews, the armed clashes with angry crowds that leave scores of Iraqi dead, the military governor, the Christian Evangelical groups who are being allowed to follow on the heels of our occupying troops to try and teach Muslims about Jesus. (Hedges stops speaking because of a disturbance in the audience. Rockford College President Paul Pribbe now takes the microphone: “My friends, one of the wonders of a liberal arts college is its ability and its deeply held commitment to academic freedom and the decision to listen to each other’s opinions.” [Crowd Cheers]

If you wish to protest the speaker’s remarks, I ask that you do it in silence, as some of you are doing in the back. That is perfectly appropriate but he has the right to offer his opinion here and we would like him to continue his remarks. [fog horn blow, some cheer].

The occupation of the oil fields, the notion of the Kurds and the Shiites will listen to the demands of a centralized government in Baghdad, the same Kurds and Shiites who died by the tens of thousands in defiance of Sadaam Hussein, a man who happily butchered all of those who challenged him, and this ethnic rivalry has not gone away. The looting of Baghdad, or let me say the looting of Baghdad with the exception of the oil ministry and the interior ministry—the only two ministries we bothered protecting—is self immolation.

As someone who knows Iraq, speaks Arabic, and spent seven years in the Middle East, if the Iraqis believe rightly or wrongly that we come only for oil and occupation, that will begin a long bloody war of attrition; it is how they drove the British out and remember that, when the Israelis invaded southern Lebanon in 1982, they were greeted by the dispossessed Shiites as liberators. But within a few months, when the Shiites saw that the Israelis had come not as liberators but occupiers, they began to kill them. It was Israel who created Hezbollah and was Hezbollah that pushed Israel out of Southern Lebanon. As William Butler Yeats wrote in “Meditations in Times Of Civil War,” “We had fed the heart on fantasies / the hearts grown brutal from the fair.” This is a war of liberation in Iraq, but it is a war now of liberation by Iraqis from American occupation. And if you watch closely what is happening in Iraq, if you can see it through the abysmal coverage, you can see it in the lashing out of the terrorist death squads, the murder of Shiite leaders in mosques, and the assassination of our young soldiers in the streets. It is one that will soon be joined by Islamic radicals and we are far less secure today than we were before we bumbled into Iraq. We will pay for this, but what saddens me most is that those who will by and large pay the highest price are poor kids from Mississippi or Alabama or Texas who could not get a decent job or health insurance and joined the army because it was all we offered them. For war in the end is always about betrayal, betrayal of the young by the old, of soldiers by politicians, and of idealists by cynics. Read Antigone, when the king imposes his will without listening to those he rules or Thucydides’ history. Read how Athens’ expanding empire saw it become a tyrant abroad and then a tyrant at home. How the tyranny the Athenian leadership imposed on others it finally imposed on itself. This, Thucydides wrote, is what doomed Athenian democracy; Athens destroyed itself.

For the instrument of empire is war and war is a poison, a poison which at times we must ingest just as a cancer patient must ingest a poison to survive. But if we do not understand the poison of war—if we do not understand how deadly that poison is—it can kill us just as surely as the disease. We have lost touch with the essence of war. Following our defeat in Vietnam we became a better nation. We were humbled, even humiliated. We asked questions about ourselves we had not asked before. We were forced to see ourselves as others saw us and the sight was not always a pretty one. We were forced to confront our own capacity for a atrocity—for evil—and in this we understood not only war but more about ourselves. But that humility is gone. War, we have come to believe, is a spectator sport. The military and the press—remember in wartime the press is always part of the problem—have turned war into a vast video arcade came. Its very essence—death—is hidden from public view. There was no more candor in the Persian Gulf War or the War in Afghanistan or the War in Iraq than there was in Vietnam. But in the age of live feeds and satellite television, the state and the military have perfected the appearance of candor. Because we no longer understand war, we no longer understand that it can all go horribly wrong. We no longer understand that war begins by calling for the annihilation of others but ends if we do not know when to make or maintain peace with self-annihilation. We flirt, given the potency of modern weapons, with our own destruction. The seduction of war is insidious because so much of what we are told about it is true—it does create a feeling of comradeship which obliterates our alienation and makes us, for perhaps the only time of our life, feel we belong. War allows us to rise above our small stations in life; we find nobility in a cause and feelings of selflessness and even bliss. And at a time of soaring deficits and financial scandals and the very deterioration of our domestic fabric, war is a fine diversion. War for those who enter into combat has a dark beauty, filled with the monstrous and the grotesque. The Bible calls it the lust of the eye and warns believers against it. War gives us a distorted sense of self; it gives us meaning. [A man in the audience says: “Can I say a few words here?” Hedges: Yeah, when I finish.]

Once in war, the conflict obliterates the past and the future all is one heady intoxicating present. You feel every heartbeat in war, colors are brighter, your mind races ahead of itself. [Confusion, microphone problems, etc.]

We feel in wartime comradeship. [Boos] We confuse this with friendship, with love. There are those who will insist that the comradeship of war is love—the exotic glow that makes us in war feel as one people, one entity, is real, but this is part of war’s intoxication. Think back on the days after the attacks on 9-11. Suddenly we no longer felt alone; we connected with strangers, even with people we did not like. We felt we belonged, that we were somehow wrapped in the embrace of the nation, the community; in short, we no longer felt alienated. As this feeling dissipated in the weeks after the attack, there was a kind of nostalgia for its warm glow and wartime always brings with it this comradeship, which is the opposite of friendship. Friends are predetermined; friendship takes place between men and women who possess an intellectual and emotional affinity for each other. But comradeship—that ecstatic bliss that comes with belonging to the crowd in wartime—is within our reach. We can all have comrades.

The danger of the external threat that comes when we have an enemy does not create friendship; it creates comradeship. And those in wartime are deceived about what they are undergoing. And this is why once the threat is over, once war ends, comrades again become strangers to us. This is why after war we fall into despair. In friendship there is a deepening of our sense of self. We become, through the friend, more aware of who we are and what we are about; we find ourselves in the eyes of the friend. Friends probe and question and challenge each other to make each of us more complete; with comradeship, the kind that comes to us in patriotic fervor, there is a suppression of self-awareness, self-knowledge, and self-possession. Comrades lose their identities in wartime for the collective rush of a common cause—a common purpose. In comradeship there are no demands on the self. This is part of its appeal and one of the reasons we miss it and seek to recreate it. Comradeship allows us to escape the demands on the self that is part of friendship. In wartime when we feel threatened, we no longer face death alone but as a group, and this makes death easier to bear. We ennoble self-sacrifice for the other, for the comrade; in short we begin to worship death.

And this is what the god of war demands of us. Think finally of what it means to die for a friend. It is deliberate and painful; there is no ecstasy. For friends, dying is hard and bitter. The dialogue they have and cherish will perhaps never be recreated. Friends do not, the way comrades do, love death and sacrifice. To friends, the prospect of death is frightening. And this is why friendship or, let me say love, is the most potent enemy of war.

Thank you.

[Boos cheers, shouts, fog horns and the like]

Did this worthless board scan-seek on the Internet “Paul Haeder and David Gomberg” in their AI search?

Oregon is in shambles from the spineless democrats and the fascist Trump, but this fucking doughboy David Gomberg goes to the 51st State, Israel, or in the words of a great scholar, the USA is the Jewish State of Murder and Starvation’s BITCH:

Finally, as a legislator required to file an annual Statement of Economic Interest (SEI), you will be required to report the aggregate value of any paid expenses provided under ORS 244.020(7)(b)(H) on your 2025 SEI. As the source of the paid travel expenses, the Consulate General of Israel should provide you with a notice or a summary of the expenses paid.

Planting a Tree

Before David Gomberg and the other state legislators left Israel, each state was encouraged to plant a tree. Gomberg said he responded to a reporter’s question about what the tree planting meant to him.

“People who plant trees think of the future,” Gomberg replied. “I plant it today and think of a time in the future when Arab and Jewish children can sit in the shade of this tree in peace and friendship.”

Gomberg, answering a phone call from the Oregon Capital Chronicle at 1 a.m. in Israel, said the week has been emotional, full of sleepless nights and that he’s still processing what he’s seen.

He said the group of lawmakers had the opportunity to ask Netanyahu and Israeli President Izaac Herzog questions and visit the music festival site where Hamas militants raided an Israeli community near the Gaza Strip, killing and kidnapping dozens in a surprise attack on Oct. 7, 2023.

At the same time, he said he heard bombs going off in Gaza a mile and a half away.

“I’m not here to support what’s going on,” he said. “I’m here to better understand what’s going on. I know Oregonians have strong opinions about this, so they deserve to have legislators who care about the facts and care about the people. Getting an opportunity to go to the places where this sad conflict began is very distressing.”

Gomberg, who is Jewish, said he understands if constituents and legislative colleagues are upset by his visit to Israel. Outside of the itinerary organized by the Israeli government, he said he and other lawmakers have met with local Israelis who believe the country is guilty of genocide in Gaza.

“Certainly the government of Israel has an agenda, but that doesn’t mean it’s my agenda or the agenda of all the legislators that are here,” he said. “I think it’s time for this conflict to end, and I’m trying to better understand why it’s continuing.”

Before the trip concludes Thursday, Gomberg said he and other lawmakers will meet with the U.S. Ambassador to Israel.

McIntire said in an email from Israel that traveling to the country has always been a dream for her, and the trip has only solidified her support for Israel.

“To see what the Israelites endure, bomb shelters in every home or village, on the streets, the bus stops, and in hotel basements, knowing their children grow up with the sound of war, like thunder in the background, sirens at all hours of the day and night — and for what?” she said.

The trip will forever change her perspective, she said.

“These people fight to defend their country, their families, their freedoms, as would we — and we did — when terrorists attacked our country 24 years ago. Israel wants and desires peace, but for them, there is no peace if Hamas exists,” McIntire said.

Hmm, genocide and boat captain and mates killing, murder okay, but cocks?

Outlets that reach millions of news consumers are being denied access to rare briefings by Pentagon officials this week — sessions that are being held instead for Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s hand-picked media organizations.

It’s not as if there’s little to talk about, with both the Senate and House Armed Services committees opening investigations into U.S. military strikes against alleged drug couriers in the Caribbean Sea and eastern Pacific Ocean.

Hegseth’s team says the briefings are part of special orientation events for a newly credentialed Pentagon press corps, consisting primarily of conservative outlets that agreed to his new rules for operation. Pentagon press secretary Kingsley Wilson is due to meet reporters Tuesday and Hegseth will do so Wednesday.

Most mainstream outlets exited the Pentagon this fall rather than agree to the new rules. The Defense Department says they are “common sense” regulations designed to prevent the spread of classified information. news outlets worried they would effectively be agreeing only to report news approved by Hegseth.

The origin of cockfighting dates back thousands of years, but it was during Ferdinand Magellan’s voyage to the Philippines in 1521 that modern cockfighting was first documented by his chronicler, Antonio Pigafetta, in the kingdom of Taytay. It’s a grisly and still-rampant blood sport, unnervingly present in the Volunteer State.

Most states banned cockfighting in the 19th century, and in the 21st century, Congress has made cockfighting a felony and banned it everywhere in the U.S. That federal legislative effort started in earnest in 2002 and it’s now a crime to fight animals in every part of the U.S. It’s also a crime to train birds for fighting, ship them across state, territorial or national lines, to traffic in the fighting weapons cockfighters attach to the birds’ legs, or to attend a fight or bring a minor to one.

Most recently a provision that outlawed cockfighting in the U.S. Territories was signed into law in the 2018 Farm Bill. We worked hard to secure the latest provision – banning animal fighting in the U.S. territories, including Puerto Rico and Guam – and it won bipartisan support from Reps. Scott DesJarlais, R-Jasper, Steve Cohen, D-Memphis, Chuck Fleischman, R- Ooltewah, Jim Cooper, D-Nashville, and then-Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Brentwood, who cast an ‘AYE’ vote to pass it.

Chickens:

Lawmakers from both parties raised alarms Sunday that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth may have committed a war crime following a report that he ordered a follow-on attack to kill survivors of a boat strike in September.

Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who was arrested for shooting two National Guard soldiers last week in D.C., was briefly imprisoned in Afghanistan alongside other members of his Zero Unit team, according to five Afghan sources. The detention by local government forces came after Zero Units killed Afghan police forces in Kandahar they were supposed to be defending.

Notwithstanding their arrests, there were no longterm consequences for the Zero Units; the Afghan state had no authority over them and the Americans shielded them. During his few days in prison, which Lakanwal and his comrades had to face after the incident in Kandahar, they still received their pay from the CIA, sources said.

The Ones We Left Behind

The Hmong ethnic group made up a large portion of the CIA’s “Secret Army” in Laos during the Vietnam War. The Hmongs conducted operations against the North Vietnamese Army and Vietcong guerrillas staging along the Ho Chi Minh trail, as well as against the Laotian Pathet Lao communists.

No photo description available.

Hmong fighters were central to CIA operations between 1962 and 1975. Vast though they were, these ops were always regarded as secret. As a result, when the Pathet Lao rose to power, the CIA more or less disavowed the Secret Army.

All about the Montagnard people of Vietnam

A similar but more obscure story concerns Vietnam’s Degar people, better known as the Montagnards, a French term meaning “mountain people.” America’s collective amnesia about the Motagnards is odd, considering they featured prominently in stories by Time and in John Wayne’s The Green Berets.

The Montagnards are descendents of Polynesians who settled in Vietnam’s rugged central highlands. The Montagnards and Vietnamese never really got along. The mountain people sided with Saigon during the Vietnam War, but never trusted the southern regime.

Chickens, uhh? Hundreds of U.S. troops have been denied VA claims linked to 1980s duty in Panama amid toxic chemicals and Agent Orange remnants.

Steven Price in Panama in the early 1980s, when tens of thousands of soldiers and other U.S. troops were stationed in the Panama Canal Zone.

Steven Price grew up in Panama and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1981. For his first base, he “signed up to go back home,” volunteering for duty at the Panama Canal Zone, where more than 10,000 soldiers were stationed in the 1980s.

He spent three and a half years in Panama, first as a radio operator and then as a linguist, deploying to Honduras and El Salvador. He was, he remembers, constantly amid toxic pesticides. To control insects, it the poisons were mixed with diesel to be sprayed from trucks. Duty in Panama also meant exposure to the remnants of herbicides, including Agent Orange, that had been routed through the bases in the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s on its way to combat in Vietnam.

Price left the Army in 1987. Now 66, Price is a 100% disabled veteran who was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and Ischemic Heart Disease. In recent decades, Price and hundreds of other veterans of Panama discovered troubling information they were not privy to during their service, but became relevant as they were diagnosed with a range of health issues.

Scarlett Johansson has defended her ongoing support for Woody Allen, who has been disavowed by much of the film industry over sexual abuse allegations made by his stepdaughter, Dylan Farrow.

The actress — who has starred in three movies directed by Allen in “Match Point,” “Scoop” and “Vicky Christina Barcelona” — is one of few names to have publicly stood by the filmmaker over the claims, first made in 1992 and brought up again in the wake of the #MeToo movement, claims that Allen has consistently denied and have been investigated and dismissed by New York authorities.

Service members’ uncertainty over whether they will be asked to carry out an illegal order or pressured to go against their training is likely to be exacerbated after The Washington Post and CNN late last week reported that Hegseth authorized a highly unusual strike to kill all survivors aboard a boat allegedly carrying drugs in the Caribbean Sea this fall.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed Monday that on Sept. 2, Hegseth authorized Adm. Frank Bradley to carry out a follow-up strike on an alleged drug boat in the Caribbean; the strike reportedly killed two people who were hanging onto the burning vessel, having survived an initial strike.

“Welcome to SAFE, Canada!” Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on social media. “When like-minded partners join forces on security and defence in a turbulent world, our countries grow stronger, our industries benefit and our citizens are safer.”

The timing aligns with a major SAFE milestone: Kubilius announced on X that all 19 participating EU countries had submitted their spending plans that will be financed by low interest SAFE loans.

He added that 15 members included support for Ukraine in their plans, involving “billions, not millions” — something the Commission has been keen to encourage.

Fucking LAWYERS.

A federal appeals court said on Monday that Alina Habba had been serving unlawfully as the U.S. attorney in New Jersey, dealing a blow to the Trump administration and most likely setting up a showdown at the Supreme Court.

Ms. Habba is one of a number of U.S. attorneys whom the Trump administration has sought to keep in power through a series of unusual maneuvers even though she was neither confirmed by the Senate nor appointed by district trial court judges — the two traditional pathways. Defendants in New Jersey had challenged her authority as U.S. attorney, leading to Monday’s decision.

“Part of the problem for the shortage of manufacturing jobs is the lack of education and training. For example, learning to take a diesel engine out of a Ford Super Duty truck takes at least five years. The current system is not meeting the standard,” he noted.

Farley also pointed to the lack of investment in education for such jobs and lack of trade schools to conduct trainings. “We do not have trade schools. We are not investing in educating a next generation of people like my grandfather who had nothing, who built a middle-class life and a future for his family,” he felt.

Jews: At a campaign event in the Bronx last month, a congressional candidate quizzed a cheering crowd:

“What do you think would happen if the US ended all aid to Israel?”

At a Thanksgiving gathering with voters, another candidate in the same race fielded questions about affordability – but also about “moral leadership” when it came to Israel’s war in Gaza. A third candidate vying for the same seat devoted much of his campaign’s launch video to lambasting the current member of Congress representing the district over the funding he’s received from the pro-Israel lobby.

The incumbent in question – congressman Ritchie Torres – is one of the most staunchly pro-Israel advocates in Congress. Dalourny Nemorin, one of his challengers for the Democratic nomination to represent the district calls him the “poster boy” for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or Aipac. “Ritchie Torres cares more about Bibi than he does about the Bronx,” Michael Blake, another challenger, said in the launch video.

‘Don’t want a slave’s peace’: Maduro hits back after Trump ultimatum; tensions surge

We are currently in the Age of Trump, where genocide in Gaza is unapologetically livestreamed. The Nobel Committee could have awarded the 2025 prize to Donald Trump or Benjamin Netanyahu, but the optics would have been too blatant. Instead, they selected a photogenic longtime war monger and coup collaborator, a full-throated proponent of violence, an habitual liar, a Trump sycophant, and an ardent Zionist.

That laureate is Venezuelan ultra-right politician María Corina Machado. As an added bonus for Washington, her award boosts the escalating US war against Venezuela. Marco Rubio, a senior US government official and key architect of the regime-change crusade, campaigned for her with the Nobel Committee.

In striking contrast, the US Peace Prize – an arguably more honorable honor than the Nobel –was awarded on November 23 to Gerry Condon, a Veterans for Peace former president and current board member. He accepted the award “on behalf of many wonderful activists who work for peace and solidarity with people around the globe.”

Michael Knox, chair of the US Peace Memorial Foundation, presented the award. Since 2009, its honorees have included Christine Ahn, Ajamu Baraka, David Swanson, Ann Wright, Veterans For Peace, Kathy Kelly, CODEPINK, Chelsea Manning, Medea Benjamin, Noam Chomsky, Dennis Kucinich, and Cindy Sheehan.

Russia, anyone? China?

Maduro:

“I say it clearly to the world: The United States is planning to plunder Venezuelan oil… they want to seize the largest oil reserve in the world as if Venezuela were a land without a people.

That will not happen… not while I am leading this nation.”

I’m excited to announce that Iain Davis’ new amazing book is available for pre-order via Papercut Publishing House, a new publishing company brought to you by Mark Goodwin and myself that will be publishing more books in the future as well as an upcoming Unlimited Hangout-affiliated print magazine.

Iain’s new book, due to print+ship later this month, is a masterpiece and a must read to understand the new “counter-elites” that have risen up on the wave of discontent of the Covid era and post-Covid era to ostensibly replace and challenge the previous crop of unelected elites. Using their own words and works, Iain artfully details the counter-elites’ philosophies, ambitions, and desired policies and what they actually portend, using their own words and writings as evidence for his arguments. Far from offering a favorable alternative to the digital tyranny that many rightfully oppose, these counter-elites have merely re-branded many of those same tyrannical policies, with the only meaningful difference being that they have optimized those policies even more for oligarchs like themselves. While many have worked to brand themselves as “libertarians,” their actual beliefs will shock you.

This is not populism and nothing these people offer is about promoting freedom, democracy or even free markets. All of those things will become relics of the past if the so-called counter-elites succeed. Iain has unmasked the would-be wardens of the digital gulag and there has never been a more important time to educate yourself about these dangerous ideas and just how intimately tied to the halls of power they have become

Listen to him and push back on this interviewer.

Maponga was a Pastor for 33 years and was conferred the title of Bishop from the Pentecostal and Evangelical community.

He has worked with organizations such as Entrepreneurial Development Southern Africa, the Seventh-day Adventist, and Global Management Centre (UK).

Joshua Maponga has a wide range of experience in branding, banking, non-profit organizations and the project management space with multinational companies such as Vodacom, SAPO, Absa World Vision, PRASA, SALGA, Milpark College and SAPS, to mention a few.

Maponga has also written, developed, produced, presented and anchored on TV Programmes. In 2010 his show Joshua was added by One Gospel on their list of shows.. His other show, Behind The Gospel, also aired on channel One Gospel. He has other shows Late debate, and Education Channel “ED” and others.

Maponga is the CEO of the institute Farmers Of Thought. He also has two organisations; Zimbabwe Indigenous Movement (ZIM) and “AIM” – Africa Indigenous Movement, which looks to house all of the intellectual property of how to transform Africa, a template for every other nation.

In 2020, Maponga was suspended by the SDA. In a letter signed by Southern Africa Evangelism, Personal Ministries and Nurture and Retention Director, the SDA said it was concerned about the content of the gospel Maponga preached and the manner in which he communicated it.

Maponga was banned from attending, speaking, preaching and officiating at any function of the Church in Southern and Indian-Ocean regions.[5]

In one of his sermons, Maponga says:

“…the day a white Jesus will die for black people, I will believe in a white Jesus”.

He further says,

“…they(white people and their white Jesus) promise Africans gold in heaven while they are taking gold from Africans. It doesn’t make sense at all that you are being promised to walk on gold in heaven while they are taking gold from you.”

There is a video clip that circulated on social media where Maponga said the black man is still hanging on the cross, with one thief on the right hand and the other on the left hand.

In this analogy, he says Africans are hanging on the cross and the Chinese and Europeans are the thieves on right and left sides. He claims that Chinese and Europeans are the thieves that are stealing minerals from Africans

Rep. Mike Turner, an Ohio Republican who sits on the Armed Services Committee and previously led the House Intelligence Committee, also appeared on “Face the Nation” Sunday. He said “Congress does not have information” that the reported follow-on strike occurred.

“If that occurred, that would be very serious, and I agree that that would be an illegal act,” Turner added.

Semen Drip Trump and his Minyan and his continuing criminal enterprises:

Trump has set free a private equity executive who had served less than two weeks of a seven-year sentence for his role in what prosecutors described as a $1.6 billion scheme that defrauded thousands of victims.

David Gentile, 59, a onetime resident of Nassau County, N.Y., had reported to prison on Nov. 14, and was released on Wednesday, according to Bureau of Prisons records and a White House official who was not authorized to discuss the matter.

Gentile and a co-defendant, Jeffry Schneider, were convicted in August 2024 of securities and wire fraud charges, and sentenced in May. Unlike a pardon, the commutation granted to Mr. Gentile will not erase his conviction.

Schneider, who was sentenced to six years, does not appear to have received clemency from Trump.

JEWS love this cunt: Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday asked the country’s president to grant him a pardon from corruption charges, seeking to end a long-running trial that has bitterly divided the nation.

Netanyahu, who has been at war against Israel’s legal system over the charges, said the request would help unify the country at a time of momentous change in the region. But it immediately triggered denunciations from opponents, who said a pardon would weaken democratic institutions and send a dangerous message that he’s above the rule of law.

Netanyahu had submitted a request for a pardon to the legal department of the Office of the President, the prime minister’s office said in a statement. The president’s office called it an “extraordinary request,” carrying with it “significant implications.”

Netanyahu is the only sitting prime minister in Israeli history to stand trial, after being charged with fraud, breach of trust and accepting bribes in three separate cases accusing him of exchanging favors with wealthy political supporters. He hasn’t been convicted of anything.

Fucking Jews and Holly-Dirt and, well, just amazing, no, Holocaust fucking Industry.

Only a fuckin Jew can tell “their” fucking stories? FUCKING HELL.

Scarlett Johansson says she was asked by a financial backer to her directorial debut “Eleanor the Great,” if the main character could be caught in a lie about something other than the Holocaust.

“I mean, if they’d said ‘I’ll only back this if you shoot in New Jersey,’ or ‘We need to get this done by the spring,’ then that would have been one thing,” she tells The Telegraph.

“But they were objecting to what the film actually was. It had to be about what happens when someone gets caught in the worst lie imaginable; if not the Holocaust, then what could it be? They offered no alternative. It was just, ‘This is an issue.’”

Johansson says the backer pulled out, taking a significant chunk of the budget.

“We’d been talking about the film for so many months, and then this was the outcome?” she tells the British newspaper. “It was really shocking, and I was so disappointed.” Johansson says Sony Pictures Classics came on board as distributors, and the studio made up the shortfall.

“If I wasn’t Jewish, would I have known how to do this [movie]?” she says. “I don’t know. But that was a factor in me wanting to do it: I knew this world, and I knew versions of Eleanor.”

The fucking Goy following Glosser Miller orders!

In a court filing last week, Justice Department officials said Noem was the Trump administration official who, earlier this year, did not comply with a federal judge’s order to stop the deportation of Venezuelan men whom the administration alleges are members of the Tren de Aragua gang to El Salvador.

The Architect of Trump’s Hateful Anti-Family Immigration Policy Turns His Attention to Struggling Black Farmers

Reviled Trump adviser Stephen Miller who helped shape Trump’s racist immigration policies has a new focus: sabotaging President Joe Biden’s plan to help struggling Black farmers who average $2,400 each in farm income.

Miller founded America First Legal Foundation (AFL), which is bankrolling a Texas lawsuit against Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. It’s over Biden’s planned debt relief for Black and other minority farmers. The lawsuit is one of at least 13 challenging the constitutionality of the program.

“AFL is filing a lawsuit . . .against the Biden administration to prevent it from administering programs created under the American Rescue Plan Act that discriminate against American farmers and ranchers based on the basis of race,” Miller said last year.

In 1910, Black farmers owned 16 million to 19 million acres, about 14% of our nation’s farmland. The number of Black farmers plummeted more than 90% from 1920 to 1969. In 2017, about 1.4% of our nation’s farmers were Black, and they operated about 0.5% of agricultural land.

Historian Pete Daniel said that federal agriculture offices increased discrimination against Black farmers after the Brown v. Board of Education decision in 1954. Black farmers were excluded. Farm Service Agency county committees, which decided who qualified for loans, were dominated by white men.

Fucking ball-less Catholic Cunt: Israel? Bombing Lebanon? Nope, not in his fucking “messages.”

Pope Leo XIV challenged Lebanon’s political leaders to be true peacemakers and put their differences aside, as he sought to give Lebanon’s long-suffering people a message of hope and bolster a crucial Christian community in the Middle East.

“You have suffered greatly from the consequences of an economy that kills, from global instability that has devastating repercussions also in the Levant, and from the radicalization of identities and conflicts,” Leo said. “But you have always wanted, and known how, to start again.”

“There are times when it is easier to flee, or simply more convenient to move elsewhere. It takes real courage and foresight to stay or return to one’s own country,” Leo told officials, diplomats and civil society representatives in a speech during a papal visit made from Lebanon’s presidential palace.

He also urged Lebanese people, whose nation is plagued by deep sectarian and political divisions, to take up the “path of reconciliation”.

Leo didn’t directly reference the recent war or the debate over weapons in his speech at the presidential palace, but he acknowledged the hardships the Lebanese people have endured.

Lebanon is the second leg of Leo’s first official foreign trip, after Turkey, where he had two key appointments in Istanbul: a prayer at the Armenian Apostolic Cathedral and a divine liturgy with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, spiritual leader of the world’s Orthodox Christians, whose invitation to commemorate an important Christian anniversary was the impetus for Leo’s visit.

Israel’s extensive destruction of Southern Lebanon

The visual evidence shows that Israeli troops deliberately left a trail of destruction as they moved through southern Lebanon. Among the structures affected are homes, mosques, cemeteries, roads, parks and football pitches. In one village, satellite imagery showed the Star of David, a Jewish symbol, carved into the ground.

Israeli fire killed two Palestinian children, ages 8 and 11, in Bani Suhaila in southern Gaza on Saturday.

Also killed Saturday were 3 Palestinians who allegedly crossed the (movable) Yellow Line.

The Gaza Health Ministry announced that the death toll for the Gaza genocide has officially passed 70,000. This number includes only identified bodies reported to hospitals.

Thousands of those killed in Gaza have yet to be identified, and an estimated 10,000 more are still buried under rubble. Additionally, the numbers of injured and starved are very conservative estimates.

Since the “ceasefire” began on October 11, Israel has killed at least 356 Palestinians. Among them are at least 67 children. Death toll figures are tentative.

Israel has so far violated the 11 October ceasefire deal in Gaza at least 535 times.

As plans advance for a new ICE detention center on the Oregon Coast, communities across Oregon face a defining question: What kind of place do we want to be?

This is the younger face of pedophilia:

You can show up to town hall meetings or city council in the hundreds, but MAGA maggots and murderers are still coming to town:

Newport

John Fuller, a spokesperson for the city of Newport, said in statement that that contractor is now reaching out to hotels up and down the Oregon coast as recently as Tuesday morning in search of up to 200 rooms for a year.

Oregon is one of the few states without a long-term immigration detention facility, a reflection of its decades-long status as America’s first sanctuary state. State law prohibits state or local resources from being used to help enforce federal immigration law.

The environmental contractor’s email, reviewed by the Capital Chronicle, was written by a scientist with Solv, LLC and offers no specific details about the project or its location in Newport.

Solv, LLC, however, received more than $5.6 million in federal contracts from 2021 to June 2025, with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security tapping its expertise in “ICE sustainability program support services.” In December 2020, the company produced an evaluation report for the federal agency when it sought to expand its operations at an ICE processing facility in El Paso, Texas.

The email’s author did not respond to a request for comment Tuesday, but she wrote that ICE “is beginning the process of initiating” a consultation and is “developing a federal consistency determination for a proposed action in Newport Oregon.” She asked about how best to submit those findings and for more information about the timeline in which she should provide other documentation.

“Ahead of submitting our letter and adjoining documentation, we would like to clarify a few of the consult requirements of the Oregon Coastal Management Program,” wrote Amber Carter, a scientist for Solv LLC. Her Linkedin shows that she leads a team of six environmental scientists and energy engineers “on an environmental compliance, energy, and sustainability contract.”

Under federal law dating back to 1972, nearly all states bordering an ocean or Great Lake set federally approved plans to protect their coastlines. Whenever a federal agency wants to act in a coastal zone in Oregon, it must wait at least 90 days before the project can break ground.

During that time, Oregon’s Department of Land Conservation and Development conducts a 60-day review to determine how that activity would impact the coast, as well as a 30-day public comment period. Notable recent uses of the program have been offshore wind energy and the canceled Jordan Cove Energy Project, which would have added a liquified natural gas export facility near Coos Bay.

This is way beyond greenwashing . . . the new term is green incarceration, sort of helping the Gestapo get their green building certification for sustainability points. As in Green Concentration Camps!

United States’ reporting of military fuel consumption omits much of the fuel used to power aircraft and ships, particularly those operating overseas. The government’s own description of how it calculates international military transportation fuel for greenhouse gas emissions specifies that all Army and most Marine Corps fuel, and any fuel delivered outside of the United States, not be counted. This leads to huge gaps in reporting, Crawford says.

“You have to count it,” Crawford says. “Jet fuel is the biggest greenhouse gas from the military.”

Take the F-35, DOD’s controversial replacement for the F-16. The new plane burns more fuel than its predecessor: about 5,600 liters of fuel per hour, versus 3,500 liters per hour for the F-16, according to the newspaper Dagsavisen in Norway, where environmentalists have protested the purchase of the planes. Crawford calculated that the Air Force’s version of the plane, the F-35A, gets about 2.37 gallons per nautical mile. Note that’s not miles per gallon—that’s 2.37 gallons of fuel burned for every mile traveled. On a single tank of gas, one plane can produce almost 28 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent. The United States plans to buy close to 2,500 of the planes, with the expectation that they’ll fly until at least 2070.

Military equipment is purchased with the understanding that it will be around for a long time, which critics argue contributes to the difficulty of reducing military emissions.

“They can’t just switch off [the F-35 program],” says Oliver Belcher, a professor at Durham University who has studied military emissions by tracking Defense Logistics Agency fuel purchases. “Despite these sort of pronouncements to green the military and all the rest of it, every major weapon system developed, from fighter jets to aircraft carriers to you name it, is extremely carbon-intensive. … Weapons systems lock in certain carbon-intensive technologies.”

So, Newport is so fucked, because the contracts are already in place the logistics are already rooted to moving here, the food and lodging are already being located and the “environmental and zoning assessments already in the works: The EA will analyze the construction of a new detainee dormitories at the El Paso SPC campus at 8915 Montana Avenue in El Paso, TX, including land acquisition, demolition of four existing dormitories, and development of a secure recreation area for detainees. ICE is evaluating four alternatives:

• Construction of new detainee dormitories in the existing dormitory location;

• Construction of detainee dormitories on land acquired from the El Paso International Airport;

• Construction of detainee dormitories on land acquired from the adjacent El Paso Water Authority; and

• The No Action Alternative. The No Action Alternative is included to provide a baseline for comparison with impacts from the Project, and also to satisfy federal requirements for analyzing “no action” under NEPA.

ICE requests comments on these alternatives as summarized below. Figures for these alternatives are attached to this letter.

Threat Multiplier: Climate, Military Leadership, and the Fight for Global Security by Sherri Goodman | An Island Press Book

Dudes — we are fucked. Threat Multiplier: Climate, Military Leadership, and the Fight for Global Security addresses essential questions about the intersection of climate change and national security. Threat Multiplier explores how military leaders’ thinking has evolved, their contingency plans, and where they see potential conflicts. Goodman outlines why the Department of Defense (DOD) now considers climate change in war games, disaster relief planning, international diplomacy, and even the design of its own bases.

Dirty US MILITARY, okay, but . . .

There are an estimated 18,000 to 19,000 total law enforcement agencies in the USA, encompassing federal, state, and local entities. The majority of these are local police departments.

According to 2018 data from the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), there were 17,541 state and local law enforcement agencies. A more recent estimate from 2020 statistics breaks down the specific number of local police departments:

  • Local Police Departments: Approximately 12,500 (city, county, tribal, and regional)
  • Sheriff’s Offices: 3,063
  • Federal Agencies: Nearly 100 federal agencies, with about 65 employing officers with arrest and firearm authority
  • Other Agencies: Includes state police, special jurisdiction agencies (e.g., park police, hospital police, transit police), and constables/marshals

Costs of War research tallies U.S. spending on war and military operations and examines the broader economic consequences of this spending.

The New York Times headline said it all: “Middle East War Adds to Surge in International Arms Sales.” The conflicts in Gaza, Ukraine, and beyond may be causing immense and unconscionable human suffering, but they are also boosting the bottom lines of the world’s arms manufacturers. There was a time when such weapons sales at least sparked talk of “the merchants of death” or of “war profiteers.” Now, however, is distinctly not that time, given the treatment of the industry by the mainstream media and the Washington establishment, as well as the nature of current conflicts. Mind you, the American arms industry already dominates the international market in a staggering fashion, controlling 45% of all such sales globally, a gap only likely to grow more extreme in the rush to further arm allies in Europe and the Middle East in the context of the ongoing wars in those regions.

In his nationally televised address about the Israel-Hamas and Russia-Ukraine wars, President Biden described the American arms industry in remarkably glowing terms, noting that, “just as in World War II, today patriotic American workers are building the arsenal of democracy and serving the cause of freedom.” From a political and messaging perspective, the president cleverly focused on the workers involved in producing such weaponry rather than the giant corporations that profit from arming Israel, Ukraine, and other nations at war. But profit they do and, even more strikingly, much of the revenues that flow to those firms is pocketed as staggering executive salaries and stock buybacks that only boost shareholder earnings further.

President Biden also used that speech as an opportunity to tout the benefits of military aid and weapons sales to the U.S. economy:

“We send Ukraine equipment sitting in our stockpiles. And when we use the money allocated by Congress, we use it to replenish our own stores, our own stockpiles, with new equipment. Equipment that defends America and is made in America. Patriot missiles for air defense batteries, made in Arizona. Artillery shells manufactured in 12 states across the country, in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas. And so much more.”

In short, the military-industrial complex is riding high, with revenues pouring in and accolades emanating from the top political levels in Washington. But is it, in fact, an arsenal of democracy? Or is it an amoral enterprise, willing to sell to any nation, whether a democracy, an autocracy, or anything in between?

So, the costs of ICE to a people, to a community, and, as the subtitle states above: What kind of place do we want to be?

Using advanced satellite data and machine learning, the researchers tracked more than a decade of changes in aboveground forest biomass, the amount of carbon stored in trees and woody vegetation. They found that while Africa gained carbon between 2007 and 2010, widespread forest loss in tropical rainforests has since tipped the balance.

Between 2010 and 2017, the continent lost approximately 106 billion kilograms of forest biomass per year. That is equivalent to the weight of about 106 million cars. The losses are concentrated in tropical moist broadleaf forests in countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Madagascar, and parts of West Africa, driven by deforestation and forest degradation. Gains in savanna regions due to shrub growth have not been enough to offset the losses.

Young people have previously eschewed manufacturing jobs due to low wages.

Some economists credit carmaker Henry Ford for jump-starting the American middle class in the 20th century when, in January 1914, he hiked factory wages to $5, more than double the average wage for an eight-hour work day.

The Jew Trained and Glosser-Miller Run ICE: 19-year-old college student deported despite judge’s order blocking her removal: Lawyer

A 19-year-old college student who was on her way to surprise her family for Thanksgiving break was detained at a Boston airport and later deported despite a federal judge’s order blocking her removal, according to her attorney.

Any Lucia Lopez Belloza, who entered the U.S. from Honduras when she was 8 years old, was about to board her flight to Texas last Friday to visit her parents and siblings when airport authorities told her to step aside, her attorney Todd Pomerleau told ABC News.

Lopez Belloza was detained, informed that she had a removal order and then arrested, her attorney said. Hours after her detainment, court documents obtained by ABC News show that a federal judge ordered the government not to remove the 19-year-old from the U.S. and not to transfer her outside of Massachusetts.

Terra nullius is a Latin term that translates to “no one’s land” or “land belonging to no one”. It was used by colonisers to “legally” – at least by the laws of the colonisers – lay claim to land.

The legal fiction of terra nullius in Australia was overturned in the landmark 1992 Mabo case. This case recognised the land rights of the Meriam peoples, First Nations of the Murray Islands, as well as the ongoing connection to land of First Nations peoples in Australia.

In doing so, it overturned terra nullius in a legal sense, leading to the Native Title Act 1993.

But we can see traces of the idea of terra nullius in the way AI companies are scraping billions of people’s data from the internet.

It is as though they believe the data belongs to no one – similar to how the British wrongly believed the continent of Australia belonged to no one.

Digital colonialism dressed up as consent

While data is scraped without our knowledge, a more insidious way digital colonialism materialises is in the coercive relinquishing of our data through bundled consent.

Have you had to click “accept all” after a required phone update or to access your bank account? Congratulations! You have made a Hobson’s choice: in reality, the only option is to “agree”.

What would happen if you didn’t tick “yes”, if you chose to reject this bundled consent? You might not be able to bank or use your phone. It’s possible your healthcare might also suffer.

It might appear you have options. But if you don’t tick “yes to all”, you’re “choosing” social exclusion.

This approach isn’t new. While terra nullius was a colonial strategy to claim resources and land, Hobson’s choices are implemented as a means of assimilation into dominant cultural norms. Don’t dress “professionally”? You won’t get the job, or you’ll lose the one you have.

An Aboriginal Warrior

Pemulwuy (a Dharug word meaning earth or clay), also known as Pimbloy, was born in about 1750 north of the Georges River, not far from Botany Bay.

Historians have identified Pemulwuy as being part of the Bidjigal clan and Dharug language speaking group.

Pemulwuy was said to be well-built and muscular and he had two distinctive physical features: his left eye had a “speck” or blemish, and one foot was clubbed.

Some believed his clubbed foot indicated his status as a carradhy or “clever man”.

Pemulwuy’s War

Pemulwuy began a valiant campaign against colonisation shortly after the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788, starting a 12-year guerrilla war against the British in 1790.

And so, the THANKS, for what now?

There are always two/three/four sides to a story. Unfortunately, when it comes to the history of Thanksgiving, generations of Americans have been taught a one-sided history in their homes and schools.

The dominant cultural and historical story has been told from the perspective of the European colonialists who landed near Plymouth Rock in Massachusetts in 1620. In this version of the Thanksgiving story, the holiday commemorates the peaceful, friendly meeting of English settlers and the Wampanoag tribe for three days of feasting and Thanksgiving in 1621.

Every year, news outlets and social media are a-buzz with these idyllic Thanksgiving themes.

There is little coverage of the fact that November is Native American Heritage Month or that the day after Thanksgiving, known to most as Black Friday, is Native American Heritage Day.

Native American tribe

The Real History of Thanksgiving

The mainstream version of the Thanksgiving story paints a picture of courageous Christian settlers braving the perils of the New World and, with the help of some friendly Natives, finding a way to make a new life for themselves. In the days around Thanksgiving, many educators focus on this happy story, helping students make American Indian headdresses out of construction paper and holding Thanksgiving reenactments in their classrooms.

Very few teachers realize that construction headdresses and school re-enactments create a generalized stereotype that Native Americans all wear the same regalia. These school activities also encourage young students to think it is okay to wear culture as a costume. This makes it difficult for students to recognize the diversity of Native American tribes and leads students to believe it’s okay to mimic Native American traditional wear without having an understanding of its spiritual significance.

Most children are only taught this brief snapshot in American History, which leaves a frozen memory of peace and generosity. However, in a short time after these Thanksgiving events, circumstances and relationships between the European settlers and the Native American tribes drastically changed. Unfortunately, very few educators have the opportunity to teach students about the massacres of Native tribes like the Pequot which took place in the years that followed. They also do not mention that English settlers robbed Wampanoag graves and stole food from them to survive during their first years on this new continent.

Here’s a look at some reasons why Thanksgiving is a complex holiday that all Americans should approach with greater sensitivity.

Why Thanksgiving Is Also a National Native Day of Mourning

It’s important to know that for many Native Americans, Thanksgiving is a day of mourning and protest since it commemorates the arrival of settlers in North America and the centuries of oppression and genocide that followed.

Organized by the United American Indians of New England in 1970, the fourth Thursday in November (Thanksgiving) is recognized as the National Day of Mourning for Native Americans and their allies.

Many people gather at Cole’s Hill in Plymouth for an organized rally and day of mourning on Thanksgiving. Here’s what they have to say about this choice to mourn:

“Thanksgiving day is a reminder of the genocide of millions of Native people, the theft of Native lands, and the relentless assault on Native culture. Participants in National Day of Mourning honor Native ancestors and the struggles of Native peoples to survive today. It is a day of remembrance and spiritual connection as well as a protest of the racism and oppression which Native Americans continue to experience.”

thanksgiving national day of mourning

Some Native Americans mourn publicly and openly, while some choose to refrain from participating in this national holiday.

Native American Tribe History

How Do Native Americans Feel About Thanksgiving?

While some Native Americans have chosen to reject the Thanksgiving holiday entirely, many embrace the positive messages of the day and choose to put aside thoughts about its complex history. This is because the idea of giving thanks is central to Native heritage and culture.

In this way, Thanksgiving is simply a chance to appreciate the good things in life, like family, community, and the riches of the land. Long before settlers arrived, Native tribes celebrated the autumn harvest and the gift of Mother Earth’s abundance. Native American spirituality, traditionally and today, emphasizes gratitude for creation, care for the environment, and recognition of the human need for communion with nature and others.

Thanksgiving as a holiday originates from the Native American philosophy of giving without expecting anything in return. In the first celebration of this holiday, the Wampanoag tribe provided not only the food for the feast but also the teachings of agriculture and hunting (corn, beans, wild rice, and turkey are some specific examples of foods introduced by Native Americans).

Now, regardless of the day’s complicated origin, many Native Americans will gather with friends and family and use the day to eat good food (many of the classic Thanksgiving dishes are inspired by indigenous foods) and give thanks.

Steven Peters, a Wampanoag Tribe spokesman, was asked about his views on Thanksgiving and the fact that most people still gather to eat turkey and give thanks. Here’s what he had to say:

“I think it’s great. My ancestors had four harvest festivals throughout the year. Gathering with family, enjoying our company, sharing our blessings, and giving thanks for all that we have is a good thing. I say have more thanksgiving events throughout the year. I also ask that you take a moment in that day to remember what happened to my people and the history as it was recorded and not the narrative that we had been given in the history books.”

What is the Real Meaning of Thanksgiving?

As we gather this Thanksgiving, we wish the hearts of all people, Native and non-Native, are filled with hope and healing. Together, let’s pledge to dismantle the physical, economic, educational, psychological, and spiritual barriers that divide and oppress us.

Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Day allow us to reflect on our collective history and celebrate the beauty, strength, and resilience of the Native tribes of North America.

  • We remember the generosity of the Wampanoag tribe to the European settlers.
  • We remember the hundreds of thousands of Native Americans who lost their lives because of the ignorance and greed of colonists and the genocide experienced by whole tribes.
  • We remember the vibrant and resilient Native descendants, families, and communities that persist to this day throughout the culture and the country.
  • We give thanks to people like Sharice Davids and Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, whose hard work and diligence helped place them in positions where the Native American voice can be heard.

Last but not least, we remember all of the friends and family of Native Hope who have embraced our mission of healing and storytelling. We give thanks to you for your support!

Jews: The EPA Is Embracing PFAS Pesticides. These Are The Health Risks.

Worse, there is no firm definition of exactly what a PFAS is—at least in the United States. The Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which works with 38 member nations including the U.S. to foster international cooperation and economic growth, defines PFAS as industrial chemicals that have at least one fully fluorinated carbon atom—which is a carbon atom with two or three fluorine atoms attached to it. There are about 15,000 species of chemicals that meet that standard. But the EPA has pushed back, broadening the definition to two fully fluorinated carbon atoms. “The final definition does not include substances that only have a single fluorinated carbon,” the agency wrote in its formal report in 2023—during Joe Biden’s presidency. That change is worrying.

“It’s an enormous decrease in the number of chemicals that are subject to regulation as PFAS,” says Nathan Donley, environmental health science director at the Tucson-based Center for Biological Diversity. “We’re talking about defining away over 10,000 chemicals. The OECD definition was a definition agreed upon by scientists. Now, the EPA has come up with a regulatory definition that in my opinion, ignores the science and is more designed to make [the chemical industries’] lives easier.”

Lee Zeldin, the first Jewish Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has engaged with various Jewish groups and leaders. His work has drawn both praise from some religious leaders and criticism from Jewish environmental activists who are concerned about his environmental policies. He also built connections with the Orthodox Jewish community during his 2022 gubernatorial campaign and now serves on the board of the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC).

Religious and political engagement

  • Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC): After losing the New York gubernatorial race, Zeldin joined the board of the RJC, a group that was instrumental in the 2025 Republican presidential victory. He has spoken at their events.
  • Orthodox Jewish Community: Zeldin leaned on his Jewish background during his 2022 campaign, highlighting his grandfather’s role in founding a synagogue and his mother’s experience as a teacher at a Brooklyn yeshiva. His stance on issues like security for yeshivas was supported by some Orthodox groups.
  • Mezuzah Ceremony at the EPA: As EPA Administrator, Zeldin was the first Jewish person to hold the position and marked the occasion by having Rabbi Levi Shemtov inscribe a mezuzah for his office.

Oregon state rep calls for special session on Trump administration's immigration crackdown

Democratic Rep. Ricki Ruiz said he has been working for weeks to counter misinformation about immigration activity in his district, especially because there are verified enforcement missions and detainments reported to his office daily.

“We’ve seen kind of a steady operation of ICE agents being around our area. There’s no question that they’re here,” Ruiz said. “These are really tough times, very difficult times. But it is really important to verify with confirmed organizations that are doing this work on the ground.”

The roadblock rumor, alleging agents were preparing checkpoints on Interstate 5, Highway 26 and Interstate 84 spread quickly over the last couple of days. Ruiz said there is no verified information supporting those claims.

“There hasn’t been and there continues to be no verified or confirmed information regarding that,” he said. “If there were something like this to happen, someone within the state, the city or the county would know about this. And right now, there’s no indication of anything like this happening.”

Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield and multiple district attorneys sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi demanding federal agents stop using what they describe as reckless and unlawful tactics while operating in Oregon.

Rayfield joined Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez, Washington County District Attorney Kevin Barton, and Clackamas County District Attorney John Wentworth in releasing the formal letter to Bondi and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

The letter details a months-long pattern of excessive force by DHS personnel, including incidents where federal officers used munitions that struck Portland Police Bureau officers and Oregon State Police officers, and tear-gas deployments that endangered residents and other law enforcement.

Oregon officials documented the same trend outside of Portland, where federal agents escalated basic encounters into volatile situations that put residents, officers and bystanders at risk.

“It doesn’t matter who you are, you have to follow the law and our Constitution,” Rayfield said. “We are asking the federal government to take reasonable steps towards prevention and de-escalation. We are putting them on notice that we are watching and will hold them accountable if they do not follow the law.”

In October, an unmarked van with federal agents stopped a group of teenagers at gunpoint at a Dutch Bros drive-thru in Hillsboro, prompting multiple 911 calls from concerned community members.

Then in November, federal agents arrested a 17-year-old high school student and U.S. citizen in McMinnville by stopping his car and breaking through his window while he was on his lunch break from school.

During the Dutch Bros incident on Oct. 3, employees called 911 as armed masked men jumped out of an unmarked van and surrounded a car full of teens placing their order.

“We care deeply about our students and their safety,” Superintendent Dr. Kourtney Ferrua told families in a statement Saturday. “We invite our entire community to wrap around our children to help them feel a sense of safety and belonging in our schools. We are working with our strong team of school counselors to be available for any student who may need support in processing what happened yesterday.”

She shared to following safety practices in place:

  • We keep our doors to the building and our classrooms in a locked position.
  • We do not allow anyone who does not have business in the school to enter during the day.
  • We provide active supervision during transition times and outdoor activities.
  • We only release our students to adults who are approved to pick them up.

Jew Zeldin is loving those PFAS’s: New research has revealed that marine mammals who live far below the ocean’s surface are not immune from the burden of toxic forever chemicals, with whales and dolphins showing unprecedented levels of PFAS contamination.

Fucking HELL on earth! A comprehensive study by the CritMET research group, led by Prof. Michael Bau, a geochemist at Constructor University in Bremen, provides evidence of widespread contamination of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea with MRI contrast agents. As modern wastewater treatment plants cannot remove these contaminants from the wastewater, they can freely enter the environment and pollute rivers and lakes. Recently published research from a Bremen area group has shown that rare earth elements directly attributed to MRIs are now present in the North and the Baltic seas.

“Next, we will evaluate how stable the various MRI contrast agents in seawater actually are. We investigate how long it takes for these chemical compounds to degrade in seawater, releasing the gadolinium and making it bioavailable. The concentrations of anthropogenic gadolinium are currently well below dangerous levels.

“However, the trend of increasing quantities of these substances entering rivers and lakes, and subsequently coastal seas, groundwater and drinking water, will continue unabated and may even intensify. And critical raw materials derived from such chemicals have no place in water, especially drinking water, of course,” Professor Bau points out, referring to the current projects of the CritMET group.

“Rare earth elements, in particular, exemplify how these critical metals are not only of great importance as raw materials, but also pose new challenges for the environment and for drinking water suppliers, as mining and use in the EU will inevitably further increase.”

International tourists visiting popular national parks in the US next year will be required to pay additional fees and raised rates on annual passes, the US Department of the Interior announced Tuesday.

In a statement hailing a new “resident-focused fee structure that puts American families first,” the department said as of January 1, 2026, the annual pass will cost non-US residents $250 to obtain, more than triple the standard $80 which US residents will continue to pay.

Foreign tourists who don’t purchase the pass will pay a $100-per-person fee, in addition to the standard entrance fee, to enter 11 of the most visited national parks, including the Grand Canyon, Rocky Mountain, Yellowstone and Yosemite, the statement said. The department co-manages the America the Beautiful Pass series and controls more than 70 percent of all federal public lands.

Hillsboro, Forest Grove, Cornelius and Washington County have all declared states of emergency recently as a result of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement sweeps this month.

Palantir has deep ties to the Trump administration, coming from both its status as a government contractor and as a personal investment for Trump administration leadership. The data mining software company uses AI decision-making software to help power the state’s surveillance apparatus, demonstrating how the surveillance state is held up not only by the state itself, but also by private functionaries that willingly serve as its architects. Since 2014, Palantir has contracted with various U.S. government entities and branches of the military. One of those projects is a case management system that allows Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to track and monitor people in its database more effectively, likely to enable fast-track deportations whenever possible.

Another is more deadly – with Israel, it has developed an AI-based platform that makes decisions about which people to target for attacks. These life-or-death determinations are made through U.S.-provided data, including seemingly private chat logs between Palestinian-Americans and their relatives in PalestinePalantir represents but one of the many links comprising the military-industrial surveillance connections between ICE and Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

These links illustrate both the ideological and practical ties between the two bodies, as both serve as means to increase the militarization of policing via the weaponization of surveillance technology. Private and public entities alike join in this effort, forming the infrastructure that will target and surveil those whom the state wishes to target—bordering, marginalizing, and othering them.

Deadly Exchange, run by Jewish Voice for Peacehas chronicled the imperial nexus between the two bodies. ICE, which has the budget of a military itself, has a vested interest in the IDF, as the two are interlinked in ideology and function.

U.S. and Israeli officials have made comparisons between their respective walls, Israeli companies provide the same radar and surveillance services used by Israel to the U.S., or law enforcement exchange programs between the U.S. police and Israeli police continue to share suppression tactics. Groups like the Anti-Defamation League have encouraged several exchanges wherein law enforcement officials, including those from ICE, have exchanged “best practices.”

Moreover, ICE and the IDF have similar modalities—operating through the use of militarized checkpoints, constant surveillance, and sometimes arbitrary detentions and arrests—making the connection between the two entities exceedingly clear. Bolstered by private contractors, ICE and the IDF maintain ideological connections. They seek to punish those who oppose the imperial and ethnonationalistic tendencies that both ICE and the IDF espouse.

In some instances, ICE has directly acted to support Israel’s propaganda project, using a blacklist run by zionist organization Canary Mission in order to choose who to arrest. The enforcement actors involved are joined in their bordering mission, and in that they are seeking “social control profitability,” capitalizing socio-economically on the marginalization of those deemed the other.

Faggots: Pete Hegseth, the defense secretary, posted a video of himself with Conor McGregor, the mixed martial arts fighter.

Piece of RACIST stains.

Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Conor McGregor in the fourth round of their eagerly anticipated UFC lightweight title fight – before inciting a mass brawl by vaulting over the Octagon to attack his rival’s corner.

After McGregor tapped out due to a neck crank late in the fourth, Nurmagomedov stepped away from his prone rival and immediately pointed at the Irishman’s corner, shouting and throwing his mouthpiece.

He then jumped over the Octagon and became involved in a physical altercation with Dillon Danis, a Bellator welterweight who trains with McGregor. The pair were eventually separated by police officers.

Meanwhile, three members of Nurmagomedov’s entourage took advantage of the chaos to make their way into the Octagon and attack McGregor. UFC flyweight Zubaira Tukhugov was one of those involved, striking McGregor on the back of the head before he was dragged away.

UFC President Dana White later confirmed that three members of Nurmagomedov’s team had been arrested, although McGregor decided against pressing charges. White added that any UFC fighters involved in the attack would never fight for the promotion again.

The incident cast a dark shadow over the sport of mixed martial arts on an evening that had been billed as the biggest in the history of the UFC.

“I’ve been doing this for 18 years and I couldn’t be more disappointed,” White commented at the post-fight press conference.

“I should be in here bragging about the pay-per-view but I haven’t even looked at that or talked about it with anybody.

“We should all be celebrating how when you put on the right event with the right guys at the right time, it works.

“It was a very good week for everybody. It just sucks to end it like this, instead of celebrating we’re saying ‘that was pretty s***’.”

Security guards and police officers took several minutes to bring the situation under control, with both fighters given an entourage out of the T-Mobile Arena among ugly scenes in the stands.

McGregor was soundly beaten by his long-term rival

McGregor was soundly beaten by his long-term rival

Nurmagomedov also became involved in a heated altercation with White, who had refused to present him with his UFC lightweight title inside the Octagon because of security concerns.

At the post-fight press conference – which McGregor did not attend – Nurmagomedov apologised for instigating the brawl although laid the blame directly at his opponent’s door.

The 30-year-old, who extended his professional record to 27-0, said: “First of all I want to say sorry to Nevada Athletic Commission and second to Vegas. I know this is not my best side. I’m a human being.

“But I don’t understand how people can talk about how I jump on the cage. He talked about my religion, he talked about my country, he talked about my father.”

The right to rape children and return to the occupied Jewish State of, well, Rape, Murder, Poisoning, Starvation, Maiming:

Failures in Israel’s legal system, particularly around pedophilia, expose deep-rooted justice and accountability issues affecting society. Offenders exploit Israel’s Law of Return to evade consequences, with high-profile cases like Malka Leifer’s highlighting extradition and legal obstacles. Despite minor reforms, stronger legal measures and international cooperation are needed to address these challenges effectively.

Criminal exploitation of Israel’s citizenship law

Many accused American pedophiles have fled to Israel, taking advantage of the Law of Return, which grants automatic citizenship to Jewish individuals and their families, with minimal barriers. While criminal background checks exist, offenders can bypass these requirements in various ways, allowing them to evade justice (Walker, 2016).

Jewish Community Watch (JCW), an American organization tracking these individuals, has been working to bring them to justice since 2014. They report over 60 suspects fleeing from the U.S. to Israel, though they believe the actual number is higher due to limited resources (Lee, 2020).

In addition to the above statistics, the Matzof Association, which monitors pedophilia in Israel, estimates that tens of thousands of offenders operate each year, affecting around 100,000 victims annually. In July 2020 alone, 22 pedophilia cases in Israel were reported to the media (Jean, 2020).

Until we have Cap;n Crunch: Publicly, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has been highly critical of the six Democratic lawmakers who released a video last week urging military service members to disobey illegal orders, calling the lawmakers the “Seditious Six” and categorizing their message as “despicable, reckless, and false.”

That criticism has particularly focused on Sen. Mark Kelly, the member of the group who had the longest tenure in the military and who achieved the highest rank of captain in the Navy.

Hegseth has attacked Kelly by name, unlike the other lawmakers. He mocked Kelly for a picture of him in uniform — “you can’t even display your uniform correctly” — and wrote that Kelly’s “conduct brings discredit upon the armed forces and will be addressed appropriately.”

A group of civil rights organizations is seeking an order to prevent the closure of a Justice Department office dedicated to preventing unrest and violence in U.S. cities.

The groups are suing for a preliminary injunction to avert the closure of the Community Relations Service, which was launched in 1964 to avert rioting and racial strife in American communities.

The office has been known informally as “America’s Peacemaker.”

As CBS News reported in April, the Trump administration was planning to shutter the Community Relations Service.

In the lawsuit filed Tuesday, several organizations, including multiple NAACP branches and the Missionary Baptist Convention of Missouri, argue that the Justice Department is violating the law in closing the office.

A former FBI agent, now assigned to a federal fugitive task force, discovers FBI misconduct and reports his concerns to his boss, the head of all law enforcement for the state of Connecticut. When Dillon is subsequently removed from the task force, he is reassigned, demoted, harassed at home and work, then threatened with termination. Dillon finally files a federal civil action against his employer, leading to a contentious trial that ultimately involves testimony from renowned forensic scientist Dr. Henry Lee and the most famous police whistleblower of all time, former New York city detective Frank Serpico. Even after a major courtroom victory and landmark decision, Dillon realizes retaliation has only just begun.

The phrase eventually made its way to Los Angeles, notably by former Los Angeles Police chief William Parker. Parker joined the LAPD in 1927 and became chief in 1950, Thornburg and Clapp wrote, and he “saw the potential uses of this metaphor, and he exploited them so brilliantly that he is often erroneously credited with coining the phrase.”

“The heroic identity implicit in ‘Thin Blue Line’ was just what Parker was after,” they wrote. “Inheriting a department known to be a corrupt, patronage-ridden force, Parker wanted to transform the police into a professional organization, independent of politicians, and composed of committed, honest, disciplined officers.”

Parker, however, was known for “unambiguous racism,” according to an article from The Marshall Project.

“He said some immigrants were ‘not far removed from the wild tribes of Mexico’ and compared Black residents participating in the 1965 Watts Riots — which stemmed in part from anger over his own department’s mistreatment — to ‘monkeys in a zoo,’” according to The Marshall Project.

According to the Marshall Project article, Parker’s tenure from the LAPD prompted a “bigger shift toward militarism in police departments, which came to buy military gear directly from the Department of Defense.”

In 1988, film director Errol Morris released a scathing documentary about an innocent man who was arrested and convicted of murdering a police officer. The man was executed by electric chair “with the help of suppressed evidence, perjured testimony, and an emotional closing argument for the prosecution,” according to “Lawtalk.”

Ironically, Morris titled the film, “The Thin Blue Line.”

“[The] final argument was one I had never heard before the thin blue line of police that separated the public from anarchy,” the trial judge said in the film, according to the book. “And I have to concede that there my eyes kind of welled up when I heard that.”

‘Breaking Blue’ Cracks a Murder’s Silence : BREAKING BLUE by Timothy Egan ; Knopf $22, 263 pages

A tale of rogue cops and their acts of treachery and violence is told by newspaperman Timothy Egan in “Breaking Blue,” a story that reaches back more than half a century to an era when times were so hard that a man might kill over “a few pounds of stolen butter.”

Who killed Sheriff Conniff at the Newport Creamery in 1935? Who kept the killer’s secret for more than 50 years? A determined county sheriff named Tony Bamonte started asking these questions purely as a matter of academic research and ended up on a quest to crack “a conspiracy of small corruptions” that conceals a monstrous crime.

The clues uncovered by Bamonte’s belated investigation send us off in one direction and then another–a pair of pawned pants, a handful of shell casings, a missing .32 revolver that miraculously surfaces from the bottom of a river, the death of a rural sheriff who mysteriously falls off a bridge. The witnesses and the suspects, men and women who have survived into old age, are wrenched back into the distant past to confront their own secrets.

Egan presents Bamonte’s persistent quest for the truth as an assault on “the Blue Wall,” which he defines as “keeping a silence that is the bond of his profession.” Bamonte is a “hard nose,” a guy who refuses to “go along and get along,” and he dares to ask questions that have gotten other men killed. Bamonte pays a terrible price for his persistence, both personal and professional, but–in the end–his quest is rewarded with success. Thanks to Bamonte, the truth is out after half a century.

What Egan manages especially well–and what sets “Breaking Blue” apart from the glut of “true crime” books–is the evocation of the time and place in which the crime took place: the Pacific Northwest in the worst years of the Depression. If most true-crime books are dressed in the garb of psychodrama, “Breaking Blue” is hard-boiled social history–and that’s exactly why the book is so refreshing, so enlightening and so entertaining.

Egan gives us an intriguing portrait of Spokane in the ‘30s–”a town of cumbrous secrets,” as he puts it–and the profound social upheavals that turned cops into petty crooks and even killers. And he draws us back to more recent decades, when a county sheriff’s domain was still “one part Mayberry, one part backwoods dictatorship.”

We learn a new language of despair. A gun is a “smokepole.” A poor soul whom we would describe as “homeless” was known as “a bindle stiff,” and he might find shelter in a brewery-turned-flophouse known as the Hotel de Gink. A cop on the make, we discover, might spend his off-hours in the company of bootleggers and black-marketeers at an all-night diner called Mother’s Kitchen, a name that takes on dark irony as we discover what plans are hatched by the boys in the back.

Clearly, “Breaking Blue” has all the color, texture and detail of the most lurid detective fiction, and Egan makes good use of the material. But he is frequently tempted to turn a phrase, to pump the prose. Most of the time, he brings it off–but not always. For example, when Parsons, still an idealistic young rookie, earns a citation for police work, Egan tells us that he “wore the compliment like ranch initials engraved on cowhide”–whatever that means.

“Breaking Blue,” a morality tale of good cops and bad cops, is especially resonant in light of recent events in the courtrooms and streets of Los Angeles. Egan–and his protagonist, Tony Bamonte–remind us of the consequences of lawbreaking by those who are sworn to enforce the law, and they refuse to allow notions of honor and loyalty or the mere passage of time to conceal the ugly truth about a cop gone bad.

Tony Bamonte, who holds his fellow law enforcement officers to the highest standards of conduct, comes across as a man whose obsession amounts to an act of heroism. And Timothy Egan, who found the story and tells it so well, has succeeded in fulfilling the charge which Bamonte issued to his homicide detectives: “You are the voice of the dead.”

Breaking Blue Cunt Star of Terroristic David? Senators push Rubio to investigate Israel’s alleged violations in Gaza

Classified findings by the State Department’s inspector general say hundreds of potential human rights violations are awaiting the U.S. government’s review.

Several Democratic senators are urging Secretary of State Marco Rubio to quickly investigate what a classified government watchdog report has described as “hundreds” of potential human rights violations allegedly committed by the Israeli military in Gaza.

Breaking Break Back Mountain!

All capitalists must be shot: I’m a CEO who’s built, scaled and turned around companies. The next arms race in business isn’t about supply chains or rate cuts — it’s about predictability.

I'm a CEO who's built, scaled and turned around companies. The next arms race in business isn't about supply chains or rate cuts — it's about predictability

Then there are shocks imposed not by markets but by governments. Tariffs, subsidies and regulatory swings can change the rules of the game overnight. At a high level, more than half of U.S. companies report tariff-driven margin pressure.

An analysis of more than 300,000 retail products found that prices were moderating after the pandemic, only to accelerate again once new tariffs took effect — underscoring how policy shocks, not interest rates, often drive pressure. This is unpredictability in its purest form: the rules of the game change mid-match.

Recent data underscores how fragile the environment has become. Spending on factory manufacturing facilities development has fallen from its 2024 peak as companies pause projects amid tariff uncertainty and rising import costs. Even firms benefitting from reshoring incentives have alluded to delaying expansion until trade policy stabilizes.

Nothing else counts, man, but CHILDREN.

The absolute import of the Epstein case will become obvious if various trends in the United States are superimposed.

Epstein trafficked underage girls for 25 years, and his child trafficking epitomizes a pandemic in the US. According to the Centers for Disease Control, 25% of underage girls and 5% of underage boys in the US experience child sexual abuse, which translates into more than 50 million Americans.

In addition to the CDC’s staggering statistics about the number of Americans who have been molested as minors, the Department of Health and Human Services estimates that the number of children and women at rick for being trafficked in the US is between 240,000 and 325,000 every year. According to the 2023 Federal Human Trafficking Report, only 664 individuals nationwide were charged with child sex trafficking in 2023. And although millions of images of child rape material infest the internet, according to the US Sentencing Commission only 1,375 individuals in the US were convicted of crimes entailing child abuse material in 2024.

As these numbers demonstrate, only a infinitesimal fraction of sexual abuse victims in the US actually see justice. Moreover, if we allow the Justice Department to be unresponsive to victims in the Epstein case, a proven child sex trafficking case, we send a message to millions of victims who have been molested as minors that they have no voice and no hope for justice. As US citizens, we have to ask ourselves a relatively straightforward question: Are we compatible with sending this message to millions of our fellow Americans who have been molested with impunity? If you’re compatible with sending this message to our fellow Americans, then there is no need for you to act. However, if you’re not compatible with sending this message to the millions of Americans who have been molested with impunity, then you need to act.

The objective of Epstein Justice is the formation Congressional Commission that will independently investigate the Epstein case, ensuring that the pimps and perpetrators in the Epstein child trafficking network will be prosecuted. The formation of a Congressional Commission will be achieved by a majority in the House and Senate voting for the Commission.

Many Americans will default to the dilemma that WE THE PEOPLE are powerless. But we seem to have forgotten that our government is beholden to WE THE PEOPLE before WE THE PEOPLE are beholden to our government.

Our objective of a Congressional Commission will be actualized by three primary methods:

· We are currently holding Virtual Training Sessions to teach people how to “pressure” members of Congress, so they form a Commission to address the injustices in the Epstein case.

· We will hold all 535 federal legislators accountable for the formation of a Congressional Commission. On our website, we presently have the software that allows people to send form letters to their Congressional representatives. Within the next month, our website will show which federal legislators are behind the formation of a Commission and the federal legislators who are uncommitted. The latter group will then be the focus of our email campaign and also the urging of their constituents.

· We will have a nonviolent Epstein Justice march and rally in Washington, DC that will put additional pressure on federal legislators to form a Congressional Commission.

The Justice Department allocated $90 million to combat all types of human trafficking in fiscal year 2023. In 2024, an estimated 9,620 cases of pediatric cancer were diagnosed among children between the ages of birth to 14 years old. In fiscal year 2025, the National Institutes of Health will allocate about $272 million for pediatric cancer. Clearly, childhood cancer is a horrific issue that needs our attention, but children who are being trafficked and molested with impunity in the US have been given short shrift for decades.

Our society has to address the needs of these children and citizens, and the Epstein case is a salient and egregious illustration of the government abrogating its responsibilities to protect our society’s most vulnerable population. Epstein Justice will be a superlative and tangible start to correct an odious trend.

ICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trump and MAGA need to be shot.

This is your fucking auntie and your fucking brother, those cunt MAGA mutts.

FUCKING Christian and Converted JEW RAPIST:

A real human being.

Whose land is this?

Team Housing Solutions pulled back its inquiry in the face of public outcry, but Kaplan’s announcement Tuesday suggests it is still looking for a purchase in Newport. ICE, DHS and Team Housing Solutions have not responded to inquiries about federal interest in the city.

The newly reported outreach to coastal hotels is just one sign that ICE is still looking at Newport. The Oregon Capital Chronicle reported Tuesday that another federal contractor recently contacted the state on behalf of ICE, inquiring about environmental regulations related to an unspecified project in Newport.

As Newport tries to learn what federal authorities may have in mind, the city is celebrating a court victory.

On Monday, a federal judge ordered the U.S. Coast Guard to return a rescue helicopter it had long stationed at the city’s airport. The aircraft was relocated with no explanation in late October. A pair of lawsuits has since challenged that move, arguing that the helicopter is necessary to prevent deaths, particularly ahead of the fast-approaching Dungeness crab season.

The temporary restraining order by U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken lasts for two weeks, though the judge may consider a more permanent ruling.

The inquiries by contractors — combined with the helicopter removal and some notable job postings — have led many in Newport to conclude ICE hopes to detain undocumented immigrants in the city, flying them elsewhere using the airport land controlled by the Coast Guard.

“The reason they wanted Newport is there’s an airstrip,” Kate Sinkins, a Lincoln City immigration attorney, told OPB last week. “They want to be able to put people in a detention facility and not give them due process and then fly ‘em to home country without anyone really paying attention. That is not going to happen. We are paying attention.”

This fucker has a fucking vacant Shilo Inn in Newport, so eexpect this criminal to contact the mercenary contractor, aka federal defense contractor.

Mark Hemstreet, now 75, grew up in Beaverton as the son a wealthy hotelier, according to a 1995 Oregonian profile. He opened the first hotel of his own in 1974 on Northeast 82nd Avenue. By the millennium, Hemstreet owned about 50 Shilo Inns across the West.

In the 1990s, according to news reports, Hemstreet regularly gave more money than any other Oregon political donor, supporting conservative causes and candidates. He was particularly influential from 1995 to 2001, when, with his help, Republicans controlled both chambers of the Oregon Legislature.

At 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds, he was an outsized figure, living large in a 9,800-square-foot home on the shores of Lake Oswego.

“I really don’t think the state of Oregon or the United States is ready for a wise, benevolent monarch yet,’’ he told The Oregonian in 1995. “That’s what I would hope that I would be perceived as.’’

Two events changed his fortunes: First, in response to Hemstreet’s union bashing, the Oregon AFL-CIO launched a boycott in 1994 of all Shilo properties. That action went on for years and hurt enough that Hemstreet pushed for legislation in 1997 outlawing such tactics (the bill failed).

“To this day, there are a lot of people in Oregon who will never stay in a Shilo Inn,” says Jim Moore a professor of political science at Pacific University.

This is where ICE will be:

The hotelier Mark Hemstreet will see one of his company’s trophy properties sold this month.

The beachfront Shilo Inn Seaside is being sold by a court-appointed receiver. At its peak more than two decades ago, Hemstreet’s Shilo Inn chain numbered nearly 50 hotels scattered across the West. But beginning with the travel hiatus after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Shilo has dwindled and Hemstreet has faced a series of financial setbacks.

Last year, in Multnomah County Circuit Court, a judge ruled that Hemstreet and Shilo Management Corp. must repay a debt to California-based Cathay Bank. The judge appointed a receiver who could then sell various assets held in the receivership estate, including Shilo Inns in Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Texas to satisfy debt.

Now, the receiver will sell the 113-room Seaside Shilo to the highest bidder. The hotel is a moneymaker, according to the listing offering, having earned $1.93 million in net operating income last year. Bids are due by Nov. 22.

Fire Chief Rob Murphy said Friday, April 25, that the buildings fire sprinkler system and a fire standpipe in the stairwell used for fire suppression will need to be replaced.

“That means there’s no safe means of egress if there’s an emergency, especially with it being a multi-story building,” he said. “The sprinkler system needs complete replacement. It’s degraded to a point where it’s not really repairable and needs replaced. By code, (the building) has to have a sprinkler fire system and has to have the fire standpipe system in the stairwell that we use to fight fire, and neither one are operable.”

Murphy explained that the system has been inspected multiple times by the State Fire Marshal’s Office, and owners were given notice that the system needed to be fixed.

“They didn’t do so, and they were given a final order to fix,” Murphy said. “They didn’t do that, so we posted the order.”

TRUMP, ten fucking years ago?

The clip that you just mentioned, John Nichols, when Donald Trump attacked Carly Fiorina’s business record. She, in turn, accused him of going bankrupt four times.

DONALD TRUMP: The head of the Yale business school, Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, wrote a paper recently—one of the worst tenures for a CEO that he has ever seen, ranked one of the top 20 in the history of business. The company is a disaster and continues to be a disaster. They still haven’t recovered. In fact, today, on the front page of The Wall Street Journal, they fired another 25 or 30,000 people, saying we still haven’t recovered from the catastrophe. When Carly says the revenues went up, that’s because she bought Compaq. It was a terrible deal, and it really led to the destruction of the company. Now, one other company before that was Lucent. Carly was at Lucent before that, and Lucent turned out to be a catastrophe also. So I only say this: She can’t run any of my companies. That I can tell you.

JAKE TAPPER: Ms. Fiorina, I want to give you a chance to respond.

CARLY FIORINA: You know, Jeffrey Sonnenfeld is a well-known Clintonite and, honestly, had it out for me from the moment that I arrived at Hewlett-Packard. But honestly, Mr. Trump, I find it quite rich that you would talk about this. You know, there are a lot of us Americans who believe that we are going to have trouble someday paying back the interest on our debt, because politicians have run up mountains of debt using other people’s money. That is in fact precisely the way you ran your casinos. You ran up mountains of debt, as well as losses, using other people’s money, and you were forced to file for bankruptcy, not once—

DONALD TRUMP: I never filed for bankruptcy.

CARLY FIORINA: —not twice, four times. A record four times. Why should we trust you to manage the finances—

DONALD TRUMP: I’ll tell you why. It’s very simple.

CARLY FIORINA: —of this nation any differently than you managed the finances—

DONALD TRUMP: I’ll tell you. I was running—

CARLY FIORINA: —of your casinos?

DONALD TRUMP: Carly, Carly, Carly—

JAKE TAPPER: Mr. Trump?

DONALD TRUMP: I’ve made over $10 billion. I had a casino company. Caesars just filed for bankruptcy. Chris will tell you—it’s not Chris’s fault either—but almost everybody in Atlantic City is either in trouble or filed for—maybe I’ll blame Chris.

CARLY FIORINA: Well—

DONALD TRUMP: But Atlantic City is a disaster—

CARLY FIORINA: Mr. Trump also—

DONALD TRUMP: Wait a minute, Carly. Wait. I let you speak. Atlantic City is a disaster, and I did great in Atlantic City. I knew when to get out. My timing was great. And I got a lot of credit for it.

NERMEEN SHAIKH: That was Donald Trump speaking last night in an exchange with Carly Fiorina. David Cay Johnston, could you respond to what Trump had to say about his bankruptcy claims—I mean, that is, denying them?

DAVID CAY JOHNSTON: Oh, sure, sure. Well, Donald personally has never filed bankruptcy. He didn’t have to do it in 1990 because the state of New Jersey Casino Control Commission took his side in negotiations with his bankers and said to his bankers, whom he couldn’t pay—Donald at the time claimed to be worth $3 billion, but he couldn’t make interest payments to his bankers—and the Casino Control Commission said, in effect, “Foreclose, if you would like, on Mr. Trump, and you will have lovely hotels by the seashore, but no casino licenses.” So, of course, the bankers all immediately took haircuts, and Trump did not have to pay back much of the money that he borrowed.

Trump’s companies were never well-run companies. Fortune magazine listed him at or almost at the bottom by every category it measured 500 large companies by. Donald promoted people whom I knew, and often promoted the most amazingly incompetent people, because they were people who were, “Yes, sir, absolutely, sir, that’s the way we’ll do it, sir,” while competent executives were pushed aside. Donald is simply not a good manager.

I think Carly—he’s correct, though, that Carly Fiorina’s record is very troubling, both at Lucent and at Compaq—I mean, at Hewlett-Packard. If she wants to run on the basis of her business record, that’s not a good record for her to run on. But, yes, Donald has never personally filed bankruptcy, but have you ever heard Donald separate himself from his successful enterprises and talk about as if they’re separate entities?

AMY GOODMAN: Well, during the Republican debate, moderator Jake Tapper also asked Jeb Bush to respond to Donald Trump’s claim that Bush is beholden to special interest groups because he’s taken campaign contributions from wealthy backers.

JEB BUSH: people are supporting me because I have a proven record of conservative leadership, where I cut taxes $19 billion over eight years. We shrunk the state government workforce. We created a climate that led the nation in job growth seven out of eight years. We were one of two states to go to AAA bond rating. People know that we need principle-centered leadership, a disrupter to go to Washington, D.C.

The one guy that had some special interests that I know of, that tried to get me to change my views on something, that was generous and gave me money, was Donald Trump. He wanted casino gambling in Florida.

DONALD TRUMP: I didn’t want—

JEB BUSH: Yes, you did.

DONALD TRUMP: Totally false.

JEB BUSH: You wanted it, and you didn’t get it—

DONALD TRUMP: I would have gotten it.

JEB BUSH: —because I was opposed to casino gambling before, during and after.

DONALD TRUMP: I promise, I would have gotten it.

JEB BUSH: And that’s not—I’m not going to be bought by anyone.

DONALD TRUMP: I promise, if I wanted it, I would have gotten it.

JEB BUSH: No way, man.

DONALD TRUMP: Believe me.

JEB BUSH: No.

DONALD TRUMP: I know my people.

JEB BUSH: Not even possible.

DONALD TRUMP: I know my people.

JAKE TAPPER: Is there anything else you want to say about this?

DONALD TRUMP: No. I just will tell you that, you know, Jeb made the statement. I’m not only referring to him. A lot of money was raised by a lot of different people that are standing up here. And the donors, the special interests, the lobbyists have very strong power over these people.

I’m spending all of my money. I’m not spending—I’m not getting any—I turned down—I turned down so much, I could have—right now, from special interests and donors, I could have double and triple what he’s gotten. I’ve turned it down. I’ve turned down last week $5 million from somebody.

AMY GOODMAN: That’s Donald Trump and Jeb Bush. David Cay Johnston, what’s the fact here?

DAVID CAY JOHNSTON: Donald absolutely, without question, tried to get casino gambling in Florida. He hired lobbyists. There are plenty of news clips; you can go back and read about it. And his denial is typical of a very important feature about Donald. Donald is one of these people who, whatever he says at the moment, that’s the truth—to him. It isn’t the objective truth, it’s not the empirical reality, but to Donald it’s the truth. And what he said is just completely false.

On the other side of this, Jeb Bush, you know, should not get away with saying, “I cut taxes $19 billion,” without a piece of context. State debt under his watch rose by more than—I think it’s $22 billion. And he was the beneficiary, of course, of the housing bubble, that Alan Greenspan claims he couldn’t see, but I wrote about, was very obvious long before the bubble popped, and so did a few other people. So, neither of the two gentlemen here has clean hands.

NERMEEN SHAIKH: Well, let’s go to another heated exchange between Trump and Bush from Wednesday night, this time regarding Trump’s suggestion that Bush’s views on immigration were influenced by his Mexican-born wife.

JEB BUSH: To subject my wife into the middle of a raucous political conversation was completely inappropriate, and I hope you apologize for that, Donald.

DONALD TRUMP: Well, I have to tell you, I hear phenomenal things. I hear your wife is a lovely woman.

JEB BUSH: She is. She’s fantastic.

DONALD TRUMP: I don’t know her. And this is a total mischaracterization of what I said.

JEB BUSH: She is absolutely the love of my life, and she’s right here.

DONALD TRUMP: Good, good.

JEB BUSH: And why don’t you apologize for her right now?

DONALD TRUMP: No, I won’t do that, because I said nothing wrong. But I do hear she’s a lovely woman.

NERMEEN SHAIKH: John Nichols, could you respond to that exchange between Trump and Bush, and Trump’s refusal to apologize, in fact?

JOHN NICHOLS: Right, see, this is a huge part of what Donald Trump does. The way that he has played American media—and you saw a real example of it just in that quick moment in the debate—the way that he has played American media is to say absolutely outrageous things, and then, instead of apologizing, to stand by it, to say, “Yeah, I didn’t say anything wrong,” and then to go on and often say something more outrageous, which draws the attention to him on the next day.

And I thought that there was a point where the moderators should have stepped in. And they should have said, “Look, you claim you didn’t say anything wrong. Jeb Bush is clearly pointing out some of the things you said here. Let’s get to the bottom of this. Let’s not let you get away with that statement.” David just pointed out, you know, in a previous exchange, where they didn’t follow up, they didn’t press. And one of the key roles of a moderator in a debate is to clarify, to get this stuff straight. That did not happen at point after point after point.

And on this issue, in particular, where you’re talking about immigration, you know, it’s an interesting exchange there. You’re saying that Jeb Bush was influenced by his personal experience. Well, I hope he was influenced some by his personal experience. I certainly am, a lot, by people I meet and things that happen in my life.

AMY GOODMAN: And Donald Trump—

JOHN NICHOLS: And I wish that Bush, rather than making it personal, would have pushed back.

AMY GOODMAN: And Donald Trump dug in and talked more and more about spending the money to deport over 11 million undocumented immigrants in this country.

Total CIRCUS:

The Making of Donald Trump gives a short tour of the business career of America’s 45th president. The narrative is episodic and inconsecutive, but it begins at the beginning, with the example set by Fred Trump, the father of Donald: a mid-century real-estate buccaneer, adroit at political manipulation and statute dodging. The book goes on to recount a few of the scandalous details of the construction of Trump Tower and the purchase, mismanagement and financial collapse of Donald’s casino properties in Atlantic City.

Various chapters take in the mob connections that Trump aimed to profit from while keeping at two removes (sometimes with the help of an apartment gratis); there are also free-standing anecdotes about friends and associates, and a chapter on Trump’s bid for the gambling custom of the high-rolling Japanese real-estate investor Akio Kashiwagi. The book bears the marks of having been put together under pressure to stop the election disaster. Pared down to half its length and distributed to every voter in the contested states, it might have helped to produce a different result.

David Cay Johnston, who recently made headlines by releasing a portion of Trump’s 2005 tax return, knows whatever can be known about Trump’s career, which he covered as a journalist for three decades, and he has the necessary courage for the disagreeable work. Trump’s previous biographer – the Village Voice city reporter Wayne Barrett, who died in January – gave a definitive account of the president’s first two grownup decades in Trump: The Deals and the Downfall (1992). Both biographers acquired an intimate knowledge of Trump’s self-protective method, which involves a mixture of flattery, threat and bluster. Trump once called Johnston and told him if he didn’t like what he wrote, he would sue him; when Johnston reminded Trump that he was a public figure, Trump said: “I’ll sue you anyway.”

With Barrett, whose book was long in the making and three times the size of Johnston’s, the stakes were higher and the approach subtler. Trump said that he couldn’t help knowing his biographer lived in a modest apartment in a nothing neighbourhood; and by the way, he, Trump, had some very nice apartments. When this failed to draw a response, Trump told the sad story of another journalist who had written copy he disliked. I took him to court and broke him, said Trump.

Johnston moved to Atlantic City in 1988 to report for the Philadelphia Inquirer on the spread of casinos, after a supreme court ruling that Indian tribes had a right to own them. He was convinced the mob would pursue the new market, and “I quickly learned from others in town that [Trump] knew next to nothing about the casino industry, including the rules of the games”.

On this subject and others, Johnston played the trick of intentionally saying something false in order to get Trump to agree and betray his ignorance. “Net present value” is a precise business term that means “the value of cash expected from an investment minus the value spent to support that investment and then reduced to a lump sum payable today”; under cross-examination in court, Trump (who sued the reporter Tim O’Brien for saying his net present value might be far below the $5-$6bn he claimed) strayed early and began to blow smoke: “Well, to me, the word ‘net’ is an interesting word. It’s really – the word ‘value’ is the important word.” Trump has been “a party in more than 3,500 lawsuits”, remarks Johnston – an act of hostile sociability as typical of the man as the tweets he emits at 4am. The lawsuit against O’Brien, like all the others presumably, was worth it because of the trouble it cost his enemy: “I spent a couple of bucks on legal fees and they spent a whole lot more. I did it to make his life miserable, which I’m happy about.”

When Trump became interested in Atlantic City, he summoned the New Jersey attorney general and asked for early action, which would mean short cuts on the background checks. Clear this for me (Trump said in effect) or I won’t build in Atlantic City; and by the way, I own space in New York that would be just as good for a casino. The Division of Gaming Enforcement bought his pitch without, it is said, ever notifying the Casino Control Commission that Trump had been the target of federal criminal investigations. Once a Trump success or the appearance of success is given plausibility by banks, and by city or state governments, he has his hooks in the institutions and they can’t afford to let him sink. When his Atlantic City casinos went bankrupt, he was judged too big to fail by the state of New Jersey. The punishment was to put him on a monthly allowance of $450,000.

If a single story emerges, it is the complicity of financial institutions in every stage of the rise and the resurrection of Trump. For a reader who before 2016 knew him only as a sketchy figure in the world of real estate, fake wrestling and reality TV, the extent of the connivance is shocking. In The Art of the Deal, the book he wrote in 1987 with Tony Schwartz, Trump claimed to have paid $5m in cash for the purchase of Mar-a-Lago, but in court testimony, Johnston says, he later “confirmed that his primary bank, Chase Manhattan, had loaned him the entire purchase price”. The transaction had the peculiar legal status of “a non-recorded mortgage”. But surely a mortgage needs a guarantor? Trump said he “personally guaranteed” the loan to himself by Chase Manhattan. The next page tightens the analogy between his practices and those that triggered the 2008 financial collapse: “Many banks,” Johnston writes, “complained that they were unaware other banks had loaned money to Trump on his personal guarantee with no public record of the obligation.” Years before he ran for president, Trump was a human complex derivative.

His lesser stratagems have required neither treachery nor the concealment of relevant facts. They exhibit nothing worse than a shameless use of the legal resources for squeezing extra dollars through the tax loopholes available to the very rich (especially the landed rich). Trump could reduce the property tax on his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey almost down to zero by keeping a pen of goats there and having it zoned as “active farmland”.

More inventively, he gave orders to skip 10th-floor numbers “to inflate the apparent height of his signature building”. Much of the remaining 90% of the apparent height of Trump Tower was built by illegal Polish construction workers who were underpaid. This would involve him later in an unpleasant rigmarole of legal discovery and compensation, but when he had money on his mind, his associates have observed, “common sense just never took hold”. In the 2016 campaign, he paid himself for the use of his large and small private jets, his helicopter and his office space in Trump Tower.

The biggest mistake of the Clinton strategy that lost the 2016 election was to picture Trump as a misogynist, racist and general offender against the international regime of human rights. While Trump can be relied on to pick up any prejudice opportunistically and pat and stroke it as long as it serves his interest, he is not by the standards of the Republican party unusually racist or misogynist. No: the egregious fact is his business record. Yet somehow the Democrats reckoned that the business facts about Trump were already known. Hillary Clinton mentioned now and then that he had stiffed people he hired to work for him. The campaign should have driven that point home in every speech she made and every ad they ran. Trump’s conduct in the first four months of his presidency bears out the suspicion that he will treat the legal institutions of the US the way he treated the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

“Mr Trump,” the lawyer asked in the net worth trial. “Have you always been completely truthful in your public statements about your net worth of properties?”

This curious exchange ensued: “I try,” Trump answered.

“Have you ever not been truthful?”

“My net worth fluctuates, and it goes up and down with markets and with attitudes and with feelings, even my own feelings, but I try.”

A while into his presidency, many people have stopped wondering about Trump’s fluctuations of policy, and have begun to ask a more unsettling question: who controls his feelings?
