“I am still in northern Gaza—sleeping inside the wreckage of one of my friends’ homes. The rain is torrential and threatens to waterlog us at any point. Israeli drones are buzzing overhead. The nightmare hasn’t ended. I am desperate for a cup of clean water here, for a plate of food. Donald Trump should know that these living conditions are better for me than living in a castle anywhere else in the world.”

Oh, the evil they all weave:
The USAID Limited Hangout Continues…
USAID’s “exposure” remains focused mainly on partisan squabbling and wedge issues.
There is still no mention of the many millions spent during the previous Trump administration itself on regime change including via USAID but also the CIA and NED in Venezuela or propaganda targeting China.
It’s being made to look like only “Democrats” were involved when it was bipartisan.
Worse still, the Trump administration has laid out a foreign policy that will necessitate continued foreign interference and global propaganda campaigns conducted under previous administrations including both Biden’s and Trump’s previous term in office.
The goal is to conduct damage control vs. growing awareness of and effective defenses against US propaganda and interference, salvage, sharpen, and streamline future ops.pic.twitter.com/OKbdcvO7RG

This is the most difficult period I have endured since Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza began last year. Everyone is so hungry.
Over the past week, my family and I have resorted to eating canned pet food mixed with poor-quality rice that feels like chewing plastic. We live in Deir al-Balah, and like everywhere else in Gaza, there is nothing to buy in the markets. We typically eat one meal a day, usually some canned food along with olive oil and za’atar. To bake bread, we have to use bug-infested flour. Some days, when we are unable to find anything else, we are forced to pay absurd prices for vegetables that are rotten. I have severe stomach pains. I would rather fast than eat this.
I dream of food every day. I imagine our fridge full of meat, lettuce, milk, and cheese. I sometimes talk to myself at night, when I’m hungry and have nothing to eat. I dream of when I will be able to sit at a dinner table with my family again. My nephew and niece, both 2 years old, wake up every day crying for an egg. Their mothers don’t know what to do. To distract them a bit, we show them videos of eggs on the internet.
It has gotten so much worse over the last month. Israel is intentionally starving us even more than it was before.
This is the Jewish Project. I am also listening to a bunch (mostly) old people reading poems and other such things, for the New Cirque Journal of which I am also published.
It is fucking surreal, all that self-importance word-smithing, the outdoors, Alaska, Pacific Northwest, all about kayaking and geological wonder, the animals, the feelings. Jesus fucking CHRIST.

In response to the alert, Oxfam’s Middle East Director, Sally Abi Khalil, said in a statement: “It is a crime against humanity for a country to unleash famine upon a population. For over a year Israel has used starvation as a weapon of war in Gaza, while the rest of the world has stood by and watched. The situation in northern Gaza is now beyond catastrophic and families there literally have nothing to eat. In southern Gaza, things are also rapidly deteriorating, with almost no food left in the markets in Deir al-Balah.”

Is this the only real political poem? Mine?
King Tide Pulling Seal Carcasses While Gaza Disappears
the wrack line carries pacific
entrails, entire wharfs from Japan
crashed into this small town’s sea
wall, tsunami there, motion here
scientists studying barnacles, benthic
species, concerned about invasive
species, colonizing . . . that harbor seal
cursed as 600 lounge on haul
out spit, waiting for salmon’s return
but seals are sometimes like homo consumopithecus
all in it for the kill, smelt, crabs
pups on their own, like Gaza’s babies
those Thursday, Friday weddings
in Yemen, entire families set into explosive
motion, kinetic bombs USA made
riveted here, signed by celebrities
in Israel, even crypto-zionist Pence
magic-marking his John Hancock
explosives destined for Palestinian
scholars, bakers, shoe makers, mothers,
children in UN schools, just disabled
fools, anything that moves
bombed
yet this harbor seal
eyes like a lab’s
crying for warmth
of mother, but madre
seeks food, seeks rushing
salmon slogging back
from pacific currents
to homeland, raceways set up
for hatchery line each nip
of DNA photocopied
yet pup drags air, nostrils
puffed up, then waves
motion back and forth
seal child’s eyes stare
at me, lumbering terrestrial
out to photograph tides
advancing higher each year
while motion of stars begin
a dance, fish running up
Alsea river, dying seal tugged
under then up, dusk folding in
the children of Gaza
nothing more than
wasted lives on
TV freak news, shows ice
storms, snow banks
even log three minutes
of seal pups, struggling
heads bobbing
until pacific undertow
takes life back into sea
as Palestine barely makes
tickertape scroll
another seal bites the dust
tourist rushes to help
old man me barking
to them, let nature
take its course . . .
cry for the children
Houthis, Palestinians Sudanese
don’t let nature take its course . . .

Now, the new docuseries Surviving Black Hawk Down turns the camera on the actual soldiers — and the Somali people — who survived the Battle of Mogadishu, allowing them to tell audiences exactly what happened in their own words. Produced by Ridley Scott Associates and directed by Jack MacInnes, the series features interviews, reenactments, and shocking footage captured on the ground before, during, and after the bloodshed, providing a multifaceted perspective on a day that forever changed the lives of everyone involved.

United States foreign policy in Somalia has always sided with the wrong side.” That’s how Mohamed Haji Ingiriis, a young Somali historian studying for his doctorate at Oxford, summarized Washington’s legacy there in an interview with CovertAction Magazine.
Instead of promoting what it claims to—peace, stability, “nation-building”—the U.S. government, Ingiriis elaborates, keeps Somalia “wartorn,” a “failed state.” The Somali people pay the cost—the ultimate cost, in thousands upon thousands of cases—as a result. But not everyone loses.

And there seems little reason to expect an AFRICOM drawdown in Somalia. Though Trump promised to “pull American forces” from the country before he left office, and though the U.S. military claims to have followed through on that promise, there are other factors to consider.
One is the Pentagon’s ongoing presence in Kenya and Djibouti, within easy striking range of Somalia. Another is that, some two weeks after the troop withdrawal was allegedly completed, U.S. forces were back in Somalia on a training mission—a mission they announced, a year ago, that would last until 2027.

One way Trump could increase natural gas production is through ownership of the Gaza Strip. In June 2023, Netanyahu awarded preliminary approval for the development of gas fields in Gaza Marine. It would have been an economic boon for the Palestinians, and it would also have given Netanyahu ammunition to demonstrate that he is working to make better living conditions for Gaza residents. These fields are estimated to contain over 1 trillion cubic feet of gas. That gas could go to Europe and could decimate what’s left of Russia’s gas supply to Europe. What’s left is largely LNG. The Palestinian Authority has wanted to move this project ahead for decades, but Hamas’ control over Gaza has made that nearly impossible. Now, Trump wants to skip ahead and take ownership of Gaza, but the gains would not go to the Palestinians, who would be evicted to Jordan and/or Egypt. That attempt is fodder for a wider regional war.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said Gaza was an integral part of a future Palestinian state, telling a meeting in New York the rights of Palestinians to live as human beings in their own land was slipping further out of reach.
The world, he said, had “seen a chilling, systematic dehumanisation and demonisation of an entire people”.
Saudi Arabia said Palestinians would “not move” from their land and it would not normalise ties with Israel without the establishment of a Palestinian state.
But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Trump’s proposal could “change history” and was “worth paying attention to”.
Later on Wednesday, the White House sought to clarify President Trump’s proposal, with spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt telling journalists the president was committed to rebuilding Gaza and “temporarily” relocating its residents. Trump said on Tuesday the displacement would be permanent.
She also said the president had not committed to sending US troops to Gaza.

White fucking ghouls, Zombies of the Heart, soulless. Whores!
Leavitt previously served as a spokesperson for Trump’s campaign and transition and was praised as “smart, tough and highly effective” when he announced her as his press secretary following his election win.
During Trump’s first administration, Leavitt was an assistant press secretary and presidential writer.
After Trump lost reelection in 2020, Leavitt became communications director for Republican Representative Elise Stefanik of New York in 2021. Trump nominated Stefanik in November to serve as the next U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

Elise Stefanik (R-Judea and Samaria) to speak before her actual colleagues. Israeli warlord Miriam Adelson groomed a Catholic lady to be a spokeswoman for Kahanist settlers within the US government and this is the result.
Stefanik was born in Albany, New York, on July 2, 1984,to Melanie and Kenneth Stefanik. Stefanik states that her father is ethnically Czech and her mother is of Italian ancestry;genealogical records show that her father’s Polish family came from western Galicia (at the time part of the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria),mainly from the then shtetl of Frysztak (Yiddish: Fristik; German: Freistadt) located near Jasło and Strzyżów. Her parents own a wholesale plywood distributor based in Guilderland Center, New York
