food, uh?

From Substack, News Forensics:

Jeremy Kuzmarov has an excellent article in Covert Action entitled: U.S. Corporate Land Grab in Ukraine Underlies War With Russia, which is based on a 2023 report by the Oakland Institute[— War and Theft: The Takeover of Ukraine’s Agricultural Land— written by Frédéric Mousseau, a food security consultant, and Eve Devillers a PhD candidate at Cornell— and also on questions from Barbara Bonte, a Belgian member of the European Union parliament.

Mousseau and Devillers worry that US agribusiness is destroying Ukrainian agriculture and the culture that underlies it— not to mention the land itself. Bonte sees the massive sale of Ukrainian land to U.S. private equity firms including Cargill, ADM, BlackRock, Oaktree Capital Management and Bunge Limited, for instance, along with some Saudi businesses as undermining both European agriculture and European food security.

Oh, darn, globalization, Fourth Industrial Revolution, yet again!

Check out Winter Oak, Paul Cudenec’s piece out today!

The UN Global Compact, of which Polman was vice-chair, was announced by then UN secretary-general Kofi Annan at the World Economic Forum in Davos in 1999.

Note that everything we are seeing today has been planned for decades.

Annan warned: “Globalization is a fact of life. But I believe we have underestimated its fragility”. [217]

The global system was, he explained in a subsequent press release, “vulnerable to backlash from all the ‘isms’ of our post-cold-war world: protectionism; populism; nationalism; ethnic chauvinism; fanaticism; and terrorism”. [218]

It was in order to strengthen the grip of that system, essentially against outbreaks of democratic resistance, that the totalitarian global infrastructure based on the UNSDGs was subsequently built up – with Polman’s involvement, as we have heard.

Two Jews called antisemites, of course!

In November 2024 the controversy turned to Israel, with ice cream brand Ben & Jerry’s filing a lawsuit against Unilever for gagging its attempts to express support for Palestinian refugees. [230]

According to the lawsuit: “Ben & Jerry’s has on four occasions attempted to publicly speak out in support of peace and human rights. Unilever has silenced each of these efforts”.

It states that Ben & Jerry’s has tried to call for a ceasefire, support the safe passage of Palestinian refugees, back students protesting at US colleges against civilian deaths in Gaza, and advocate for a halt in US military aid to Israel, “but has been blocked by Unilever”.

Ben & Jerry’s is threatening to dismantle Unilever’s board and sue its members over the issue, and is demanding $5 million in payments to Ben & Jerry’s for the brand to make donations to human rights groups of its choosing. [231]

The lawsuit is the escalation of a long-running dispute.

Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, Jewish co-founders of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, sold their namesake company to Unilever in 2000 for $326 million. [232]

As part of the acquisition agreement, Cohen and Greenfield still had the right to take decisions about the brand’s social mission and they announced in 2021 that their products would no longer be sold in the West Bank and parts of disputed East Jerusalem.

This did not go down well at Unilever, which eventually got round the issue by selling its Israeli Ben & Jerry’s division to its local franchisee, who was able to carry on selling the product under the famed brand name to customers in both Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories. [233]

The New York Post reported in 2022: “The Israeli government hailed the move as a ‘victory over anti-Semites’”. [234]

It always leads back to Jews:

George Rohr

NCH Capital currently faces accusations of unlawful land acquisition, tax evasion, and illicit financial activity. In 2015, its founder and CEO, George Rohr, was part of the high-level meetings involving Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko and U.S. Commerce secretary Penny Pritzker that led Ukraine to agree to the structural adjustment program of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as a condition for two $1 billion loan guarantees from the Obama administration.

In 2024, NCH Capital gave $5,000 to Jimmy Panetta, a Democratic representative from California’s 19th congressional district encompassing Santa Cruz, Monterey and San José, who is a former U.S. Navy intelligence officer and the son of former CIA Director Leon Panetta (who delivered a keynote address at this year’s Democratic Party Convention in Chicago).[7]

Not surprisingly, Jimmy Panetta has been a champion of “robust aid to Ukraine in Congress,” as a profile in The San Luis Obispo Tribune put it, helping to pass a national security package that included $61 billion in security aid for Ukraine and support for the sale of seized Russian assets.[8]

In August 2024, Panetta traveled to Ukraine to meet with Zelensky. He subsequently issued a statement praising him and claiming that it was “heartening to see and hear firsthand how American support, especially our work in Congress to pass legislation for supplemental funding, is properly being used on the battlefield.”

Goddamn those fucking Democratic Italianos!

Fucking U$A, MIGA MIGA (not make Italy Great Again, Make Israel Greater Again, though Italy and that fucking Pope and Catholic Mafia sure can help!)

…since Jews were denied equal status with Christians and were barred from many positions of importance in a profoundly Christian society—their livelihoods and even their survival often came to depend on their ability to lend money at interest. Furthermore, largely because of papal pronouncements, in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries lending at interest became an area of commerce increasingly possible only for Jews, while those needing to borrow money to fulfil their crusading vows were obvious targets for moneylenders. So in lending to Christians, and in particular to crusaders, Jews could not ignore the policies of popes who both authorized crusades and pronounced on money-lending. This chapter explores how financial transactions affected papal-Jewish relations, since the spiritual power of the papacy and the military power of the crusaders would often clash with the relative powerlessness of Jewish communities.

Ernest Martin, it is pretty certain that,

the present religious authorities exalt to the highest esteem and respect an enclosure as the site of the Temple that was in Jesus’ day the chief architectural symbol of Rome’s claim to imperial world power. … Even the worshippers at the “Wailing Wall” are directing their present devotions and venerations to a Roman edifice that their ancestors in Herod’s time held in utter contempt.[9]

What a great irony, for a people so used to fool the world, and so confident in the power of their own symbols! If, unbeknownst to them, their prayers are really going up to the gods of Rome, will they bring down the return of the Tenth Legion on their head? [Martin, The Temples that Jerusalem Forgot, pp. 2-3.]
