Israel’s Pathological Lies & How Gaza Changed the World, w/ Ali Abunimah

2016:

Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz arrives to cast his vote in the Likud primaries in Tel Aviv, December 29, 2015. (Flash90)

Israel’s transportation minister said that he is pushing for the construction of an “artificial island” off the coast of Hamas-ruled Gaza to alleviate hardship in the blockaded coastal strip.

Yisrael Katz said Monday his plan calls for an eight square kilometer (three square mile) island linked to Gaza by a five kilometer (three-mile) bridge. He said the island, estimated to cost $5 billion, would include a port and perhaps a future airport. Israel would supervise security checks but it would otherwise be run by Palestinians and the international community.

With Israel and Egypt maintaining a naval blockade of Gaza to prevent the Strip’s Hamas [terrorist rulers] importing weapons, the Palestinians have long been pleading for a port to connect them to the rest of the world.

Blumenthal: Yes, Jews wanted Obama, the n-i-g-g-e-r, DEAD!

This topic would come up so I didn’t retrieve it from 201 . . . I think it was in an Atlanta Jewish publication the reporter went around to various very pro-israel synagogues and asked people about Obama, and many of them said they wanted him dead. I did the same thing in Jerusalem with my famous or now infamous ‘Feeling the Hate in Israel’ video on the eve of Obama’s Cairo speech and this was like just Obama going to an Arab State and addressing them was seen as this gigantic betrayal, even though what he was doing was completely insidious. And so you had all these mostly Jewish youth from the five towns in New York in Long Island who are kind of like on vacation or they’re doing year at a Yeshiva they’re completely drunk and they were expressing their true feelings about Obama: one after another calling for him to be killed, calling him the n-word, and now you’re starting to feel that same hate for Biden come forward !

But queer as a George W Bush kiss Obama is in London, man.

Dirt following dirt? Yep. No talks about starving and murdering and bombing Gaza. Nope. The next Netflix junk he and his George Bush Kissing Wife are producing?

Obama dropped by No. 10 Downing St. for an “informal” meeting with United Kingdom Prime Minster Rishi Sunak on Monday, Downing Street officials confirmed to The Hill.

Obama and Sunak met Monday afternoon at No. 10, where they discussed a variety of issues, including international affairs and artificial intelligence (AI), a Downing Street spokesperson told The Hill.

This piece of shit!!!!! Obama the Netflix daffy duck.

The new report from a cluster of international organizations and charities known as the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification initiative, or IPC, outlined a devastating situation with up to half the population of Gaza — 1.1 million people — facing catastrophic levels of hunger and starvation between now and July. The most immediately affected areas are in the northern regions, which Israeli forces cut off from the enclave’s southern half and which only a trickle of aid has been able to enter.

Compared with the IPC’s previous analysis in December, acute food insecurity in the Gaza Strip has deepened and widened, with nearly twice as many people projected to suffer those conditions by July. The most dire projection is based on an escalation of the conflict, including a ground offensive in Rafah.

In northern Gaza, 70 percent of people already live with “catastrophic hunger”. Two-thirds of households report that at least 10 times, they have gone entire days and nights without eating. (The full report is available here.)

Ismail al-Ghoul

Al Ghoul has spoken to the channel about his experience in Israeli custody.

He told Al Jazeera that Israeli forces stormed al-Shifa Hospital at dawn during intense fighting. They started by destroying media equipment and arresting journalists gathered in a room used by media teams, he said.

The journalists were stripped of their clothes, he continued, and were arrested and placed in a room inside the medical compound. They were forced to lie on their stomachs as they were blindfolded and their hands tied, he said. (Read more here.)

Barack Obama Michelle Obama

It is unknown how much the Obamas’ Netflix agreement — which will see them produce through their newly formed company Higher Ground Productions — is worth. In March, Penguin Random House signed the couple to a joint book deal that pays them a reported $65 million for their respective memoirs.

“Barack and Michelle Obama are among the world’s most respected and highly-recognized public figures and are uniquely positioned to discover and highlight stories of people who make a difference in their communities and strive to change the world for the better,” said Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos. “We are incredibly proud they have chosen to make Netflix the home for their formidable storytelling abilities.”

Marwan Barghouti is serving five life sentences in an Israeli prison

Palestinian-Israeli politician and Israeli parliament member Ahmad Tibi says the life of prominent Palestinian prisoner Marwan Barghouti is in danger inside the country’s prison system.

He told a press briefing that Barghouti has been beaten at least twice this month in solitary confinement, once on March 6 and again on March 12. He also said several Palestinian prisoners have died behind bars recently, with families and judges saying their bodies bore marks of torture.

NOTE: As a senior official in Fatah, Barghouti, 65, was arrested in 2002 and given four life sentences on charges of committing hostile acts against Israel during the Second Intifada. Opinion polls indicate that a broad segment of Palestinians want Barghouti to succeed Mahmoud Abbas as president.

The UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says about 300 houses have been demolished by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank since October 7.

It says 1,640 Palestinians have been displaced in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem since that time. Fifty-seven percent of them have been displaced since the start of this year.

“The majority of those displaced (903) were during operations carried out by Israeli forces, especially in refugee camps in Jenin and Tulkarm, followed by displacement due to the lack of Israeli-issued permits (640) and displacement due to the demolition of homes on punitive grounds (138),” OCHA said.
