embarassing but so so Norman Rockwell-like this fake day of fake patriots!
“Patriotism is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.” —Adlai Stevenson
“Freedom is nothing but a chance to be better.” —Albert Camus
“You can’t separate peace and freedom, because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom.” —Malcolm X
“The life of the nation is secure only while the nation is honest, truthful and virtuous.” —Frederick Douglass
“Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it.” —Mark Twain
“Patriotism is, fundamentally, a conviction that a particular country is the best in the world because you were born in it….”
― George Bernard Shaw
My local rag (above), now down to once a week, and that, my friends, is definitely UNPATRIOTIC. So every fucking year, the same bullshit Veterans’ Day lie!
End of newspapers, now that is not why my old man, 32 years in the uniformed “regular” army services, “fought” in Korea and Viet Nam?
And this is, of course, the propaganda of America, where the snake oil salesmen and P.T. Barnum’s suckers born every minute and all those Natives Massacred, all those treaties broken, all those parcels of land stolen, all of that, and then building upon that, we are that nation of crocodile tears.
It’s powerful, that Propaganda:
Sure, he presented this in Iceland, man: In 2000 and 2001, Agnar Helgason and other geneticists analyzed the Y-chromosomes of 181 modern Icelandic men and the mDNA of 401 Icelandic women. The results were decisive and extraordinary. While 80 percent of Icelandic men studied bore a Y-chromosome of Norwegian origin, 20 percent had one of Irish or Scottish origin. Even more astounding, only 37 percent of the Icelandic women carried mDNA of Norwegian origin; the remaining 63 percent bore Irish or Scottish-origin mDNA.3 Not only was approximately forty percent of the settlement population from Ireland or Scotland, but a majority of Icelandic women came from outside of Norway!
Now, this group, my patriots!
The gatekeeping methods the compatible left employs, where event organizers make it so that most of the Americans who oppose the war machine aren’t welcome at ostensibly antiwar rallies, are so far successful at preventing effective mobilization against the proxy wars; but these tactics can only work for so long. And when the people gain enough of a means for advancing their anti-imperialist interests, the state is going to have to try to fight off the people directly, rather than relying on its counter-gangs.
If the state gets what it wants, the Palestine rallies are going to be something the state can afford to ignore, like it could afford to ignore the demonstrations against the Iraq invasion. It wants these outbursts of resistance to be confined to an activist niche; be led by orgs that worship the spontaneity of the masses rather than drive forth the struggle; and therefore are unable to sustain their momentum. This tactic of diverting and neutralizing mass outrage can’t work, though, when the authentically revolutionary organizations are able to take advantage of these disruptions; when the actors within the struggle who haven’t been co-opted expand their relationship with the people, using the people’s passion as a way of forming such connections. It’s evident that APSP did this kind of mass work well enough during the post-George Floyd era for the state to come to view it as a threat; a threat that the state felt worthwhile to counter through raids and indictments.
That these attacks on the Uhuru organization happened, and happened within a few years following the 2020 police brutality uprisings, shows the counterinsurgency which the state waged against these uprisings wasn’t ultimately successful. It succeeded in the short term, but not in the longer term, and the state admitted this defeat when it assailed Uhuru; the Democratic Party’s having been able to pacify many of those who got involved in the struggle, and get them to either vote blue or become politically aimless, didn’t prevent Uhuru from continuing to bring Black workers into the long-term fight for liberation. All the freedom fighters needed was to exercise patience and stay principled, and it wouldn’t take long for them to become successful enough that the state got frustrated with them. (source)
This fucking photo below is the most disgusting way toward crocodile tearing yourself into a fucking war-mongering frenzy . . . my country in god, in GOD He TRUSTS, God, that is, with the weapons.
Maybe we just need to stop this fucking Veterans Day shit! When we are here, no?
So, with USA funding, arming, helping, believing, holding close to its patriotic, flag wrapped crocodile-tear dripped chest, tyran and murderous and aparthied Israel!

Propaganda. Fucking Veterans Day crocodile tears, man, and it gets their engines running.
Tape the mouth:
Quoting, and one person’s massacre, is another person’s battlefield enemy’s deaths!
On November 6, Brandeis University announced it would ban the group Students for Justice in Palestine from campus, making it the first private institution to enact such a policy. This followed on the heels of Gov. Ron DeSantis ordering Florida’s public colleges to do the same. These aren’t the only signs of a backlash against progressive critics of Israel in the wake of Hamas’s October 7 massacre.
Watch Richard, and those supposed civilians partying at that outside hippy rave.

Fucking Target and Walmart and Amazon and the millions of motherfucking outfits making hay about this fake day, Veterans Day?
Nov. 11 because the armistice between Germany and the allied nations went into effect on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of the year. When it became a holiday, Veterans Day was known as Armistice Day. It was meant to mark the war to end all wars after the brutality of World War I.
Ahh, so a Coloradian wrote this eight years ago, and again, which side of the black/white line do you follow?
Letter: Why Veterans Day is a national sham
This Veterans Day, I began to reflect upon what Veterans Day means today in a nation obsessed with itself. I am a veteran so, therefore, I speak with some basis for this post.
When I was young, I had uncles — four of them — who fought in WWII to free Europe; one died in Malmedy. As a youth, Veterans Day was a day wherein veterans and the dead, whom lay in graves both here and abroad, were paid respectful honors for their service.
Today, as a mature man, I have seen Veterans Day devolve from those of the past into a hodgepodge menagerie of dog-and-pony ceremonial show antics, (mainly by self proclaimed “moral” political types whom never swore the oath and never will fully grasp the nature of service in the military). All the while some 300,000 U.S. veterans have died due to negligence or whatever by the VA, by gross neglect of those deceased veterans for political convenience by the current administration.
I have watched as communities quietly forgo Veterans Day events to conform to “political correctness” (the bane of straight talk, saying what one precisely one means, which in the past was a distinct trait of what it was to be as a American) in millennial-oriented communities that have become more and more anti-military, anti-veteran and anti-Second Amendment, which in the sum of the equation equals anti-American. Otherwise socialist.
This Veterans Day, I didn’t attend some ceremony officiated by some self-serving neophyte politician whom didn’t serve, but quieted reflected upon the honor of having served the greater good and remembering with great humility and gratitude my brothers and sisters of the military family that served, and who have endured and suffered under the current dysfunctional system of our government. And those, most of all, who never came home.
Michael Anderson lives in Fort Collins.
Yep, Socialist? Millennials? Anti-military? Anti-Second Amendment? Anti-American? Oh, that current dysfuncitonal system of government? That’s right, the reverse Veterans Day!
Fuck Mister Fort Collins Fucking Agnotoloy and Amnesia and PATRIOTISM Mike Anderson.
David Swanson, quoted here: “In an attempt to quantify U.S. warmaking, I’ve copied below lists from these sources”:
David Vine: The United States of War
William Blum: America’s Deadliest Export: Democracy
Dr. Zoltan Grossman: A Century of U.S. Military Interventions
James Lucas: U.S. Has Killed More Than 20 Million People
William Appleman Williams: Empire As a Way of Life
I can link to some others first. Here is a PDF from 2022 from the U.S. Congressional Research Service admitting to hundreds of U.S. military interventions abroad between 1798 and 2022.
And here is a PDF of a journal article about something called the Military Intervention Project, which can also be found here and here and here. The authors claim to have a list of 392 U.S. military interventions between 1776 and 2019, but do not seem to actually produce the list. There are, however, extensive descriptions of it at those links, including:
“The United States has carried out 34 percent of its 392 interventions against countries in Latin America and the Caribbean; 23 percent in East Asia and the Pacific region; 14 percent in the Middle East and North Africa; and just 13 percent in Europe and Central Asia, according to a newly refined version of the Military Intervention Project (MIP) dataset — a venture of the Center for Strategic Studies at Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.”
Exceptonalism!
In a reality-based assessment of U.S. crimes, the serious offenses begin beyond that threshold. Here’s Blum’s list of over 50 foreign leaders whom the United States has attempted to assassinate:
