NO more NO more:

God, this woman just should stay away from flyover America. Stick to geopolitics. I am ebarrassed for her: [Diana Johnstone was press secretary of the Green Group in the European Parliament from 1989 to 1996. In her latest book, Circle in the Darkness: Memoirs of a World Watcher (Clarity Press, 2020), she recounts key episodes in the transformation of the German Green Party from a peace to a war party. Her other books include Fools’ Crusade: Yugoslavia, NATO and Western Delusions (Pluto/Monthly Review) and in co-authorship with her father, Paul H. Johnstone, From MAD to Madness: Inside Pentagon Nuclear War Planning (Clarity Press).]

Planned obsolescence has been the dominant policy of the Western elite toward the working class since the neoliberal power seizure of the 1980s, a message that comes through in a new song suddenly sweeping the world.

The song “Rich Men North of Richmond” is a personal lament, a cry of pain and despair over the state of the “new world”.

The fact that Oliver Anthony’s powerful voice and frank lyrics immediately resonated with millions of listeners tells each of us something about the rest of us. On the simple but deep level of sensibility, millions of very different people found they shared something in common.

Exactly what this might be and where it might lead is a mystery, but there is potential political meaning in the subjective unity aroused by this song.

The song “Rich Men North of Richmond” is a personal lament, a cry of pain and despair over the state of the “new world”.

Read my take on Oliver: Black August, but the Freaks, those Wet Oreo Cookies, the Rest Crying Over Some shit SONG? …..goddamn, another flash in the pan, ‘Rich Men North of Richmond,’ while the USA bombs the world with sanctions, poisons, hate, terror, carriers, jets, endless bioweapons, but cry cry cry!

So Johnstone says it has been planned obsolescence since Reagan? Again, more of the empty headedness of a society — this culture, this warring nation, this Trail of Tears Nation, this Bombs Bursting in Air nation, this slave owning, and enslavement loving nation, well, it was (they being the billionaires and multi-millionaires, the TV Evangelicals, the Goldwaters and Dwights and FDR Internment Camp kinda people, it is a bloody nation way before Ray-GUN.

I am not pissing on her career, because she is good there, but she should have stayed out of the Anthony Oliver shit storm flash in the pan commentary. Here, the CIA checked Wikipedia entry says powerful things about her righteousness. Note the last comment, again, Chosen Hasbara boy Caplan putting in his two fucking cents.

Johnstone gained a BA in Russian Area Studies and a PhD in French Literature from the University of Minnesota.[1] She was active in the movement against the Vietnam War, organizing the first international contacts between American citizens and Vietnamese representatives. Most of Johnstone’s adult life has been spent in FranceGermany, and Italy.

Johnstone was European editor of the U.S. weekly In These Times from 1979 to 1990. She was press officer of the Green group in the European Parliament from 1990 to 1996. From 1996 to 2000, she was associated editor of the Paris quarterly Dialogue concerned with Balkan geopolitics.[citation needed]

Fool’s Crusade[edit]

After the 2003 publication of her Fools’ Crusade: Yugoslavia, Nato, and Western Delusions, Johnstone became known for her claim in the book that there is “no evidence whatsoever” that the Srebrenica massacre of the Bosniaks was genocidal.[2] The historian Marko Attila Hoare called it “an extremely poor book, one that is little more than a polemic in defence of the Serb-nationalist record during the wars of the 1990s—and an ill-informed one at that”.[3]

The book was rejected by publishers in Sweden,[3] prompting an open letter in 2003 defending Johnstone’s book—and her right to publish—that was signed by, among others, Noam ChomskyArundhati RoyTariq Ali and John Pilger. The signatories stated: “We regard Diana Johnstone’s Fools’ Crusade as an outstanding work, dissenting from the mainstream view but doing so by an appeal to fact and reason, in a great tradition.”[4][5] Ed Vulliamy, who reported for The Guardian during the Bosnian War, called Johnstone’s book “poison” finding unbelievable the response of Chomsky and the others.[6] In March 2006, David Aaronovitch in The Times wrote: “In the sense that the world understood there to have been an act amounting to genocide at Srebrenica … Johnstone certainly, and Chomsky implicitly, had most certainly denied the massacre”. In the book “and elsewhere she had argued that the numbers of deaths had been exaggerated, that many supposed victims were in fact still alive somewhere, that Srebrenica had actually been an armed camp, that the Bosnians had deliberately let it be overrun hoping for a anti-Serb propaganda coup, that there had been some regrettable ‘revenge’ killings, as can happen in wartime”.[7]

In her own defence, Johnstone has said her critics “reduce [her] book, as they reduce the Balkan conflict itself, to a certain number of notorious atrocities, and stigmatise whatever deviates from their own dualistic interpretation”.[8]

Richard Caplan of Reading and Oxford University reviewed the work in International Affairs, where he described the work as “a revisionist and highly contentious account of western policy and the dissolution of Yugoslavia. … [It] is insightful but overzealous … well worth reading—but for the discriminating eye.”[9]

Oh well, the life and times of Anthony Oliver about to be directed by some schmuck.

And, shit, somewhere there will be more blood:

Kyle Rittenhouse has said he is being sued for “defending” his life as the estate of a man he killed brings a new lawsuit against him.

According to updates filed on litigation monitoring site pacermonitor.com, a complaint with jury demand has been filed against “all defendants” by the estate of Joseph Rosenbaum, who was killed during the unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in August 2020.

It is suing Rittenhouse, along with Kenosha officials, local sheriff’s departments, the City of Kenosha, the City of West Allis, and several counties for “compensatory and punitive damages” in the “wrongful death” of Rosenbaum.

Rittenhouse, 20, hit international headlines after he travelled to Kenosha, Wisconsin, from his home in Antioch, Illinois, where he shot three men during the disturbances that were sparked by the shooting of Joseph Blake, a Black man, by police officers.

Two of the victims died after being shot with an assault rifle. In a high-profile trial, Rittenhouse was found not guilty for the murders of Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber after the jury ruled he had acted in self-defense. He was 17 at the time of the killings. The verdict was met with protests across the U.S.

Shifting to planned and coerced and mandatory extinction, Klanada: Let’s look at this racist, Justin, and his MAID = Medical assistance in dying. See how these Orwellian freaks play the words, the fun stuff. It is state sanctioned forced suicide, i.e. murder.

New photo of Justin Trudeau in blackface emerges as Canadians head to the polls

Kathrin Mentler went to Vancouver General Hospital seeking psychiatric help in the midst of a mental health crisis.

Mentler says that she lives with chronic suicidal thoughts and sought out the hospital’s help to put herself in a position where it would be a lot harder for her to attempt an drug overdose or other self-harming behaviours.

“I didn’t want to get into a situation where I would think about taking an overdose of medication,” said Mentler.

“That day my goal was to keep myself safe. I was thinking of maybe trying to get myself admitted to hospital because I was in crisis.”

Mentler says that she arrived at Vancouver General’s Access and Assessment Centre and was told there weren’t any beds available for her, and that she should expect a long wait before she could see a psychiatrist.

At this point, Mentler says that she was asked if she had ever considered MAID (medical assistance in dying), with the clinician telling Mentler about the “relief” she felt after patients with mental illness had committed suicide through MAID.

Mentler says that the clinician suggesting MAID to her made her feel like her life was “worthless,” and that she was a problem that could be solved with MAID.

…Currently, it is illegal to deliver MAID to Canadians who are not suffering from a grievous and irremediable medical condition and whose only medical condition is mental illness.

However, cases like Mentler’s have become more of a common occurrence, with several stories of medical staff offering MAID to otherwise healthy Canadians.

…In 2021, a total of 10,064 Canadians died through MAID, representing 3.3% of all Canadian deaths that year. “

For Ms Heim-Myers, access to assisted death is about compassion and respecting people’s decisions.

“It’s about personal choice,” she said. “I’m not sure that the human condition means human suffering. I think we need to respect that.”

It’s a sentiment shared by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. While defending the law at a press conference in 2022, he said Maid is a “deeply personal choice that individuals and families need to make.”

Yep, so, I know dozens of fuckers here on the Oregon Coast who in a nutshell would have their own solution to homelessness, to vagrancy, to hobo-dom, to all those lost in capitalism and atomization and criminalization and usury and broke back mountain breaking bad-dome:

“I’ll donate the goddamned cinder blocks and chains. Just let me take them one by one, chain ‘em up to the blocks, and toss them overboard. Hell, good fodder for the crabs. Easy, cheap solution. Hell, I’ll even throw in for the gasoline for my 144 HP Evinrude.”

Yep, above, a note I found on the rock beach yesterday. Big time homes, hitting the million dollar mark, and those short term rentals at $300 a night plus $200 cleaning deposit, unrefundable. More nightly rate for parties over four people. You know the deal. Endless streams of RVs with $80K Jeeps in tow. We’re talking $400,000 units, and you know these fuckers have a home somewhere, maybe two, and they have endless dispoable income for $4.50 a gallon for gasoline.

The guy is in his forties, but looks 60, and I am not sure about the woman, but a younger woman I have talked to in the past. The place they have set up under the bridge is messy, full of thrift store giveaways, and it’s wet and cold, and tourists and their kiddos walk by as they look for sand bars to do some clamming.

He had a place in town, in an office, managing a thrift store, but that ended, and so this guy, who was getting his life together, he is down and out, methed and IPA and under a bridge, man, so fucking sad.

Yep, the Trudeau Method. Or the ZioAzovNaziLensky and Hillary and Blinken and Paski and Yellen and Larry Summer and Garland and Nuland and, well, you get the picure, their Method:

“It’s a very good deal tens of thousands of Ukrainians dead, and then, the amputations, man, another great deal. We just need more Lloyd Uncle Tom Raytheon Austins, man, and we need more Goyim for the Slaughter. A very good deal indeed . . . money money money for the military madensss offensive weapons and all that other peripheral junk that makes K-Street and Yale and the rest hum.”

Yeah, Rich Men and Women East and West and South of Richmond:

Scale of amputations in Ukraine reaches WWI level – WSJ

Due to the length of time required to register patients following an operation, the actual number may be higher. In fact, after being injured, some people don’t have their limbs amputated for weeks or months.

The outlet, citing estimates by the Houp Foundation charity, notes that 200,000 people were seriously injured during the war, while amputations are frequently necessary in about 10% of major injuries.

The Wall Street Journal also indicates that the prostheses are not cheap, with some prices reaching EUR 50,000. At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities pay the wounded up to 20,000 euros. Civilians who are injured find it difficult to afford treatment.

The publication recalls that during World War I, 41,000 Britons and 67,000 Germans required amputations.

Then look at this fucking Hasbara Freak, Kristol: They’re Ready to Fight Again, on Artificial Legs The New York Times/ Jul 8, 2023 — LVIV, Ukraine — The Superhumans Center is full of war amputees learning to walk on artificial limbs or smoking cigarettes clutched in ….

And then, NPR/PBS, national propagandaradio/propaganda broadcasting system, and then two Jewish folk on the NPR fun: Stavnister and Schifrin.

Andrey Stavnitser, Co-Founder Superhumans Center:

So just for your understanding, we have approximately the size of Austria, land plot size of Austria is filled with mines right now in Ukraine. So even if the war stops today, it’s going to take many months, if not years to demine it. And we see civilians and military personnel stepping on those mines every day and about 30,000, more than 30,000 people are waiting for prosthetics right now, that means they have lost at least one limb. So the situation is getting really bad day after day.

Nick Schifrin:

And you mentioned it’s both civilians and soldiers for those soldiers. Are you seeing a dramatic increase because of the nature of how the Russian defenses have been built? And the fact that Ukrainian soldiers simply have to go through the minefield in order to get to the Russian forces that have occupied your land?

Here he is, Nick boy: A human stain — no, Syria did not use chemical weapons against its own people. He is what is wrong with Americanos — Clinton School, some NPR freak as hero, and the softball questions.

Here it comes, Eris, Discordia, mask up, 8th booster and counting:

The latest iteration of Omicron, BA.2.86, is here, and we must be ready for its arrival. As of writing, the highly mutated variant of SARS-CoV-2 has been officially sequenced nine times worldwide in five countries, including the United States. Nearly identical sequences spread so far from each other combined with minimal sequencing efforts three and half years into the pandemic suggests that BA.2.86 is far more prevalent than nine cases.

A common tactic by public health services for monitoring Covid-19 spread is wastewater analysis. Sampling wastewater allows for mass surveying a building, area, or city for variants, but may sacrifice the specificity of its origin.

Good to know we have to follow (be chained to) THE SCIENCE. And this is NASA, taxpayer-funded welfare outfit? Did we vote for this?

NASA is developing a supersonic passenger aircraft that will reportedly have a top speed of Mach 4 (~3000mph), which will not make it twice as fast as the Concorde but also faster than the legendary SR-71 Blackbird spy plane that was designed with a top speed of Mach 3.2 (around 2500mph). NASA claims that the proposed supersonic jet will cut down the travel time from New York to London to under one and a half hours. Typically, flights to New York take around eight to nine hours as the current crop of large passenger jets cruise at around 600mph. For comparison, the iconic Concorde that retired two decades ago could maintain Mach 2 (1,348 mph).

SICK.

And, it is a given, no, mask mandates, CRISPR, endless deaths on planet earth while endless trillions are dumped for fucking space: Mars Simulation Finds One Personality Type Should Probably Not Colonize The Red Planet [Mars Simulation Finds One Personality Type Should Probably Not Colonize The Red Planet….22 is the magic number.]

What they weren’t expecting was the death rate among neurotics.

“The primary observed emergent phenomenon occurs in the decline of the Martian population,” the team wrote. “While the members of the settlement have an equal probability of being affected by lack of settlement resources, habitat accidents, or earth shipping disasters, Martians with the ‘neurotic’ psychology die at a much higher rate than those of other psychologies.”

“Once their population reaches a low enough level, the settlement population stabilizes.”

The team notes that neurotic personalities suffered during life on the colony, and the colony improved when fewer people of that personality type were there.

“Martians with the neurotic psychology and a high coping capacity benefit the least from interaction with other Martians, and are penalized the most if they have a low coping capacity. Our results suggest that this effect is a driver of the Martian population decline, and once minimized or removed, can produce a stable settlement.”

A colony on Mars.

So here we are, just one of another MONSTER:

Open Society Foundations plan to significantly curtail their work in Europe and lay off much of their staff on the continent, the foundations’ leaders told staff in Berlin, according to an internal email and several current employees, who say the decision is painful and perplexing.

The planned European cuts, as described in an internal email viewed by The Associated Press, would represent a historic break with the roots of billionaire philanthropist George Soros’ support for civil society through education, human rights work and policy research, which started in his native Hungary more than three decades ago.

The strategic change coincides with Alex Soros, George’s son, announcing a shift to a new operating model the board adopted at the end of June, its first major move since he took over as head of OSF’s board of directors in December. Grantees in Europe say OSF has not directly communicated the proposed strategy change to them, contributing to a sense of disbelief.

Again, the Star Chamber people want their own country!

So Mars, or California:

After weeks of local speculation, the purchasers of 55,000 acres of northern California land have been revealed. The group Flannery Associates – backed by a cohort of Silicon Valley investors – has quietly purchased $800m worth of agricultural and empty land, the New York Times has reported. Its goal is to build a utopian new town that will offer its thousands of residents reliable public transportation and urban living, all of which would operate using clean energy.

The project was spearheaded by Jan Sramek, a 36-year-old former trader for the investment banking firm Goldman Sachs, and is backed by prominent Silicon Valley investors including Michael Moritz, a venture capitalist; Reid Hoffman, the co-founder of Linkedin; Laurene Powell Jobs, the founder of the philanthropic group Emerson Collective and wife of Steve Jobs; Marc Andreessen, an investor and software developer; Patrick and John Collison, the sibling co-founders of the payment processor Stripe; and the entrepreneurs Daniel Gross and Nat Friedman, the Times reported.

And, then, the dirty Democrats, man: Biden and Harris, run by Blinken-Nuland-Garland-Yellen-Kagan and so many more in the Hasbara Crew!

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is increasingly being viewed as a nuisance to some of President Joe Biden’s political advisers, according to four people familiar with the matter.

Though Biden’s camp no longer sees the California governor as a wannabe challenger to the president — and some in the president’s orbit praise him for acting as a top campaign surrogate — Newsom’s plan to debate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on television carries more risk than potential reward, these people say.

That’s caused consternation within Biden’s operation and among Vice President Kamala Harris’ allies.

And that country would have a complete lack of accountability for the ultra-rich.

Peter Thiel doesn’t need to build an island to have his libertarian dreamland, he can build it right here in America, and he already is.

[Peter Thiel]: Our goal was nothing less than to replace the U.S. dollar by creating a new digital currency.

[Peter Thiel]: If you’re a startup, you want to get to monopoly. You’re starting a new company, you want to get to monopoly.

[Peter Thiel]: We need to take over the world, we can’t slow down now.

In a PayPal all-hands meeting in 2001, Thiel told the full staff “the ability to move money fluidly and the erosion of the nation-state are closely related” as they were building a system to move money fluidly. But just a few months later Thiel took the money and ran: PayPal went public with an IPO.

[Peter Thiel]: Just like there’s room for starting new companies because not all existing companies solve all the problems we need to solve, I think there should also be some room for trying to start new countries, new governments.

[Peter Thiel]: I have a single, idée fixe that I’m completely obsessed with on the business side, which is that if you’re starting a company — if you’re the founder, the entrepreneur starting a company — you always want to aim for monopoly. You always want to avoid competition, hence “competition for losers,” something I’ll be talking about today.

WE are so OBSESSED by the rich, the powerful, the unholy, the dirty, the world killers, and that is the SNL Sketch, man, the SNL world.

And so the criminals are left and right:

Larry Summers (left) and Olivier Blanchard (right)

MICHAEL HUDSON: Well, the entire U.S. banking system is just as insolvent as the banks that you’ve just mentioned.

What’s amazing is that all of this is treated as if somehow it was unforeseeable. And people are saying, like Queen Elizabeth said in 2008, did nobody see this?

Well, I’ve been writing about this, exactly how this would occur for the last 15 years, ever since I wrote Killing the Host.

And the reason the banks are insolvent now is because of President Obama’s program and his Secretary of the Treasury, Tim Geithner, who appointed the current Federal Reserve President, Powell.

When President Obama decided to bail out the banks, instead of writing down the bank loans to what would have been reasonable levels, instead of saving the junk mortgage victims from their houses, he decided to go along with his boss, Robert Rubin, the former Treasury Secretary under Bill Clinton, and save Citibank and the other big banks that were the most troubled banks of all.

And they’re still the most troubled banks of all, except they have a government guarantee, just like Obama gave them, that no matter how much they lose, they will not lose the money. No matter how much the banks lose in negative net worth, the economy will lose, not the banks.

All of that became implicit when the Federal Reserve decided to help the banks that were insolvent in 2008 and 2009, to help them recover their net worth by quantitative easing.

That is creating $9 trillion worth of Federal Reserve balance sheet support of the banks to enable the banks to drive down interest rates to near zero, 0.1%, which is about what banks were paying their depositors.

The Hard Iron Financial Fist

Who’s going to turn off the lights? Shabbos goy!

The sad passing of Colin Powell has generated many loving accounts in Jewish media of his recollections serving as a “Shabbos goy” in his youth, when he assisted with tasks that were forbidden to observant Jews on the Sabbath. “Collie,” as his Jewish employer called the teenaged Powell, told Jewish audiences that in addition to serving as a “shlepper” in a Bronx infant-goods store owned by an Orthodox Jew, he collected a quarter each Friday night for turning off the lights at the synagogue.

Source? That Terrible Tablet:

I began by telling Marshall that I was an Orthodox Jew who observed the Sabbath. Since the holidays were approaching, I thought I had better mention those, too. So I continued, “In addition to Saturdays, I can’t work on the Jewish holidays, and they are coming soon. First there is the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashana, and then comes the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur.”

At this point, the judge interrupted. “Yes, and then there’s Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, and Simchat Torah.” I almost fell over. “That’s right,” I said, and added, “But how do you know that?”

“Easy,” Marshall replied, “I grew up in a Jewish neighborhood in Baltimore. In fact, I made some money by turning off lights in homes there on Friday nights.”

Fucking high school follies, and we, the poor ass Goyim, take it with a smile and a sip:

The fabled French wine industry is beset by a string of problems

[The French government announced Friday that 200 million euros ($216 million) would be set aside to fund the destruction of surplus wine production in a bid to support struggling producers and shore up prices.]

FUCK! Socialism (sic) for the rich?

Europe last suffered a so-called “wine lake” in the mid-2000s, which forced the European Union to reform its farm policy to reduce the massive overproduction of wine which was being stimulated by its own subsidies.

The 27-member bloc still spends 1.06 billion euros annually on the sector, according to EU figures.

As well as a long-term trend of consumers switching into beer and other alcohols, the industry was badly hit by the COVID-19 crisis which shut restaurants and bars worldwide, leading to a sharp fall in sales.
