Mark Zuckerberg is giving credit where credit is due. The Meta CEO believes Elon Musk kicked off a trend that has been “good for the industry” by firing a horde of middle managers at Twitter following its $44 billion acquisition last October.
According to TechCrunch, after taking control, Musk slashed thousands of employees from about 7,500 to less than 2,000 as of February this year.
Zuckerberg commented Lex Friedman Podcast on Thursday. The way he sees it — and determined Twitter employees will surely beg to differ — Musk is trying to make the company “more technical” and bridge the gap between engineers and himself with “fewer layers of management.” I was right.
